Meet Adrienne:

Adrienne was born in Nice, France, where she lived for about nine years with her mother before she was relocated, placed with a new family in a new country. Everyone pretends that she was too young to remember that the reason she had to be moved was the death of her mother in a Suomi raid. Living with the Head of the Family was supposed to protect her, and she was all for the arrangement until they decided to sell her off to the enemy. Adrienne grew up being used to the defferential treatment many of her family gave to her and her mother, so you could say that she's kind of a brat. Luckily, the current Head and his daughter, her best friend, don't mind deflating her ego when she needs it. She's 19 years old with a small frame, dark brown skin and straight black hair. There is a strange symbol, reminiscent of a celtic knot, on the inside of her left wrist, the Mark of the Lien. Being a conduit for the all of the power every member of the D'Aubingne clan draws on every day is difficult. Sometimes, on major spell-working days like the full moon or equinoxes, it's overwhelming, all of which just exacerbates her natural tendency toward bitchiness. She studies her magic diligently, in hopes of someday finding a way to eliminate the symptoms of being the Lien. She specializes in illusions, in creating visually something that is not there. She can just barely make sounds now along with her pictures and is working on adding smells and eventually tastes to them. Her ultimate goal in life is to create potatoe chips that she can eat forever without ever getting fat.
