Vanessa Anne Clarke
16/Female/Human
Appearance
Though her mother is extraordinarily beautiful, Vanessa is rather beautiful by human standards. She's not your traditional long-haired, long-legged beauty, but she's pretty nonetheless. She's only around 5'4", and weighs 125 pounds. She's far from a supermodel; she doesn't have a huge bust or butt or long legs, she's pretty average all around body wise. She has to watch her weight carefully, and currently doesn't like how "soft" she is. She doesn't have the money for a gym, but she's guaranteed to lose any extra body fat from hanging out with the rowdy werewolves in La Push.
She's got short blonde hair. Straight bangs over her forehead, with hair that angles from there down to her neck. It's feminine, but short nonetheless. She's got bright blue eyes that she usually paints with makeup--all the best, spent with her mother's money. She's constantly trying to make her face as beautiful as her mothers, because she doesn't see the beauty in being human. She does the same with her body and clothes; always trying to find the best in the latest fashions. This causes a lot of people at her school to label her "fake", probably because she hides behind clothes and makeup. She's generally a mix between tomboy and girly-girl; she likes to look good, but doesn't let it cripple her from being outdoors or athletic.
Personality
She's confident with a low self esteem, if that makes any sense. She doesn't like her body but she loves her personality. The only time her low self esteem will hold her back is if she was invited to some kind of bikini party of something. Otherwise, she's all for the horsin' around and being a regular teenager. Late night car rides with no destination, going to the movies with big groups of friends, blah blah blah, except she's just beginning to make friends. And because they're all guys, they're kind of giving her a bad rep. Not that she cares.
She's courageous in the sense of trying new things or diving into something she's unfamiliar with. Whenever her mother takes her on vacations, she's always doing the most outrageous things she can find to do. From cliff diving at home, to scuba diving or hang-gliding in whatever part of the world she's in at the time. She loves a thrill. Unfortunately, she doesn't have much of an athletic hobby. She hates running, but she's good at it when it comes to sports. She's just not on a sports team.
She's kind of picky about everything. What she wears, who she hangs out with... but she's finally overcoming that. Now that she's become exceptionally envious of her mother's power and can't get it, that's about all she focuses on. She wants to be a part of the danger club of life. It's all she looks for these days. That's why she can't get enough of the werewolf boys. It kills her that she can't be one of them, but it makes her feel more powerful just being in on their secret.
History
Vanessa has had a pretty normal life. Thankfully she's never had to move out of Forks, because her mother's never murdered anyone. She doesn't really understand why her mother wants to go back to human blood after being on animal blood all of their life, but Vanessa doesn't judge her. She's jealous of her, so in recent years she's kind of pushed her mother away.
Vanessa always had a lot of friends, up until high school, when that changed a bit. She chopped off her hair, cared more about how she looked than ever, and found that these new obsessions with looks and power pushed away her friends without her even realizing it. Now that she has, she's trying to be seen as "normal" again in the eyes of her Forks High School peers. Her second year into high school, she's hoping for something to change her whole world. And she thinks she's found it.
