André Herrera Garcia's Story

At Midnight, Andre arrives at Cybele's fountain in Madrid, Spain after his trek at nightclubs, he tried picking up girls with his charm and wit but it didn't have a lasting impression nor significant effect towards the women. Before Midnight arrived, In the afternoon, Andre was at the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain, the design of the museum was modern yet surreal but anyway, Andre was looking at an exhibit on how Spanish royalty lived, the topic fascinated him, seeing Catherine of Aragon's beautiful dress but he mostly saw how princesses lived in the late 1400's. The most notable was the remains of this princess named Natalia of Valencia, her clothing and her way of life interested him. Anyway, fast forwarding to Midnight, Andre flipped a € 0.01 coin and wished himself that he would meet the girl of his dreams, the coin landed in the waters of Cybele's fountain . After this wish, he went back to his villa and slept dreaming of love.

The next morning, he awoke to see the same princess he saw at the museum, Andre's blue eyes just became shocked and he himself was surprised that the princess was here, Andre said to her "¿Quién eres tú?*"

The world around her was so... Odd. Her fingers picked up everything that she saw. The area around her was intiminating and the last thing she remembered was watching a play from the luxurious seats above, unlike the townsfolk who stood in the ground below, crowded and sweaty.

Her dress was beautiful as always but had this disgusting red stain from wherever it had come. She had not remembered the last few minutes of her old life, but the thoughts of suicide still creeped in her mind. Her hair was rather messy for whatever reason it had been, as if she had slept on it for thousands of years.

Her heart beat quickly as she opened the few doors of the house. Some, she was unable to nudge open. One was a crack open, and she pushed it, her eyes wide, almost with fear. Where was she? This certainly could not be death; It was not... Heaven, it just wasn't. Inside, she found the body of a sleeping human, its body rising and falling with each breath. ¡Dios mio!*, she thought in fear.

The man woke up as she had walked in and was a shocked as she was. Was he behind all of this? Was her husband? If he was, he would be sorry! "How dare you bring me to this place?" She spoked up as soon as she noticed he was well up, which didn't take me than a few heartbeats, "What devil's magic have you done to bring me here?" Her voice filled with slight fear and was shaky. This was just a big nightmare, but goodness, it felt so real!

"Señorita, I do not know what you mean, In fact, I was wondering how you got here, I did not use any magic but you appeared right before my eyes" Andre said

Andre just rubbed his eyes and brushed his teeth. He then closed the door of the bathroom and took a shower as he thought to himself "What the hell is happening here" After that warm and comfortable shower, Andre put on a white tank top with light blue stripes and some khaki pants as he made café con leche, a very strong espresso coffee with a lot of very hot, frothy milk and toast accompanied by butter with mild, soft cheese and cooked ham for himself and the princess that he saw at the museum for breakfast

Noticing the bloodstain, Andre saw to the Princess and said to her "Miss, are you alright, do you want me to take you to the hospital?"

She frowned as he spoke and just retreated to another room. She was left wide-mouth. How dare he! What did he belive he was doing? No magic? Nonsense, he had something to do with it, this was just bloody stupid!

Once he was out, he wore a different outfit, something rather ugly in her opinion; Whatever happened to him?

Following him out, she didn't say a word. Maybe he actually didn't know anything about this. Doubt it, he must have an idea. She looked down at the food that he served, the extra plate, she guessed, was for her. The food looked simple and dull. Yes, her life with the Prince wasn't the jolliest, but at least the castle served a bounty of food. "What's this?" She muttered softly and took a sip of the drink. It was horrible. Putting it down, she held her chin high. "I need nothing of the such, I am your princess and you shall tell me what all of this is; A dirty prank from the Prince? You better say something, or you'll be paying the consequences after I kill him myself." She was not kidding. Natalia, at the moment, no longer cared if it was her who plunged the knife into the man's back, she would do it herself. Now, he just had to explain all of this.

"Listen, I do not know what your name is but I told you I didn't do anything, you just appeared right before me" Andre said

"I don't know who you are but get use to it, I'm not a rich, fancy, señor, if you're wondering what these food items are, it's coffee with hot frothy milk and toast with cooked ham and cheese, it's a light breakfast" Andre added

After finishing his breakfast, he went outside of the villa and took a walk outside, Madrid was beautiful, the old palaces were breathtaking but Andre liked Cybele's fountain the best. He arrived at the fountain and sat on the ledges of the fountain knowing that the princess would probably go after him due to whatever rant she was going on about him doing magic to get her here.

She actually took a while to follow him. She found a sharp knife, which she hid in one of the many hems of her skirt, well out of sight; just in case.

"Diablos, you ignorant fool! I am Princess Valencia and you shall show respect," She said as she walked down the street. Large monsters raced by and she shrieked in fear; what was that? It almost ran her over! "I am Princess Natalia Rodriguez Herrera of Valencia and you have the wits to act so.. Rude to me?" she wore the same dress, the one with the blood stains, but it did not matter to her, because as soon as all of this would get settled, she had a closet full of new dresses. How could he take all of this so lightly?!

Andre saw the Princess running after him as he was sitting on the ledges of the fountain. He showed her the hand which told her to stop right in front of her face after she had crossed the street

Andre then collected his thoughts and said to her "A Princess?, yeah right, are you mad?, Don't make me call the police,If you do, I'll tell them that you are stalking me with the motive of murdering me."

Andre then took his leave and by the time, he arrived at a tapas bar called Lateral, it was noon, he went in and ordered some tapas for lunch. He ordered the Pimientos de Padrón (deep-fried chili peppers) and some Gambas (Sauteed Prawns in Peppercorn Sauce). He couldn't shake the feeling that princess would probably follow him to the ends of the earth but he decide to get himself a glass of beer to calm his mind.

Actually, she did not follow him. This was nonsense! And yes, she would murder him if it came to it. Even, she would murder every person he ever spoke to! The female looked around at the empty area. Here, deep inside the park, the noises from the monsters couldn't be heard; she hoped they did not hunt her down, a simple knife wouldn't do too much.

"Hm.. Must not have any education, a low class, shameful," she said, speaking to herself. She looked around, it was indeed scary, and she wondered where she should go. At the end, she just sat down. Before, she hadn't been able to remember what her last moments in her normal life where, but the thought came back to her, the last moments of her life. With that, she did the only thing she could; cry. Was this the after life?

Her tears where silent, like the ones she spilled the days she sat by the gardens, the roses the only witnesses. She felt arms wrap around her, and for a second, Natalia felt the urge to slash the knife through his stomach and get it over with for the lack of compassion he had previously shown to her, but for some reason, she didn't.

After a few seconds, she pushed him off. She might hate her husband, but while she was still alive, she would keep to the vows. He must know it, atleast a bit about all of this. "Please, you ought to help me; I'm lost, I don't know where I am, but this is certainly not Valencia."

Maybe that was her only option, to be the damsel in distress and not the snotty princess. Before, she would have never been even rude about all of this, thought a little bit more before reacting, but the patience was thin, it had been that way long before any of this happened. She hated everything and the thought of while others were happy, she was not.

"Valencia?, Valencia is way towards the east, my friend, you're in Madrid, the capital of Spain" Andre said

"Hey, if you're lost, how bout we tour around Madrid for a bit, I think you should know how to get around Madrid for a bit" Andre added

He stood up and offered his hand towards Natalia, he wanted to help Natalia up and he smiled. "Come on, I won't bite, Natalia" Andre said as he called her by name for the first time. The wind blew and Andre's blond hair swept across his face as he awaited Natalia's response.

For the first time to Andre, he saw that Natalia wasn't a snotty princess, she was more someone that had lost her way because by the tone of Natalia's voice, it sounded like "Please, I'm begging you" but at least he knew that Natalia just doesn't know what to do.

"No!" She said rather softly, "Please, I need to get back."

"Prince Alejandro will be looking for me, they might even kill me if they find me." This couldn't be another kingdom, everything was so different, but then, where and why was she here? "You don't understand, this is not my kingdom! These things," she pointed to his clothes and the things such as the mini waterfall, "I have never seen them, this is not my world, please."

She wasn't ready to add her last memories, and she was not planning to do so anytime soon. She felt terrible, a headache boomed through her head, her once-beautiful dress now covered with blood, her own blood, and her face was dirty with tears. Atleast before, she knew were she stood.

"I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with history, but there are no kingdoms anymore, all of the "kingdoms" are now united as one country, To keep our country united, we have a limited monarchy, a king and a queen with limited power, instead we have the government with more power." Andre said

"I can't take you back because you're from the late 1400's, I'm from well, 2012, I can't just travel back in time, you're in an modern era where there are no kingdoms, where you have cars or rather "monsters" trying to kill you, clothes like mine, shops and restaurants, et cetera, et cetera" Andre added

"Oh, by the way, "Prince Alejandro" is dead, because you probably jumped many years from your era to here" Andre added

Andre just stood there with a disdained look on his face, "I'll get you some women's clothing, everyone's gonna think you're in some costumed event." Andre then ran off to a Women's clothing store.



Andre didn't know that much about fashion but he got her a short denim skirt, a white tank top for females and some Converse All-Star shoes, "Here, they may not look appealing but at least they should help you fit in the crowd" Andre said to Natalia

Dead? For some reason, she should be creeped out but she wasn't. Actually, she was more than happy; she was thrilled.

1400s, yes she knew her years well, but why would a king and queen no longer rule? It was the best, the safest. Townspeople usually had silly ideas, dangerous even. Government? Whatever or whoever that Was it didn't sound safe. Neither did monarchy. And 2012? Why would God ever do such thing. She wondered if she had disappeared before coming here, disappeared from their eyes. That would have been something to laugh for, she would have loved to see Alejandro's eyes and hear his exclaims of witchcraft.

The clothes he gave her were much to short and she shook her head, "I would be hung if seen with such garments. And only a thin layer? Whatever happened to the corsets?"

She looked down at he shoes. Ridiculous, how could people wear things like this? She wondered what else happened during the time she lived and... Now, because at the moment, she was not sure herself if she was actually living or if sue still imagined all of this. The confused thoughts quickly overpowered her; what were these little suns that hung from black poles? Why did they not burn bright on the sky like their mother? The sky atleast, remained the same, blue with dotted clouds. The same sky she had left.

"You are taking his much too lightly!" She said, bewildered by his actions, "Is this a bloody normal thing now? People coming back from the dead, because I am sure I was not here a few days ago, now you are telling me I have 'traveled' 800 years into the future? Madmans have such thoughts!"

"And these clothes are best for the summer, it's hot out here" Andre added

"Like I said, I don't know how you got here but people coming back from the dead, there's no such thing but..." Andre said and then he suddenly remembered what happened last night, he wasn't sure if this is connected to the current situation but he exclaimed "Last Night!" to Natalia. "I don't know if you believe me but here goes, last night, I arrived to Cybele's fountain and everyday I would wish to meet the girl of my dreams, well, last night, I flipped a coin into the fountain and said the same thing just like everyday and after I finished my wish, I slept but the next morning, I awoke to see you in my bedroom" Andre said

"I don't want you to get the wrong idea but I wasn't wishing for you, I wasn't that specific but I wished for any girl, any girl" Andre said

"Well, if you still don't believe me, I'll take my leave, go ahead, you may call me a madman as you wish" Andre said to Natalia and he left with a disdained look on his face. He didn't smile or do anything, he just walked out of the park like nothing's happened.

"Well, that's that, great, I'll be a hombre solitario*" Andre said and then he went and took the train to Ibiza for a night of partying to relax.

Natalia remembered that the room she had woken up in had not been locked and with a sigh, she started making her way back, towards the direction she believed it was. To her surprised, inside the monster were humans, which scared her at first, were they eaten? But they seemed fine, not even hurt, and they stopped for her, how weird!

The door was slightly ajar and she opened it to find the house empty. She closed the door behind her and went inside. The food that had been served for her still sat on the table and with a shrug, she ate, noticing how hungry she was. Traveling in time must be exhausting. The idea in a way, made her happy. She didn't have to deal with no more Prince and maybe she won't ever have to kill herself again. Joy.

After eating and gulping down the drink, she looked around, deciding she should change out of this dirty clothes. She had set the clothes and shoes on the farther side of the table. She didn't them too much, it was awfully short. Maybe the man had a better thing?

She had rummaged the rooms for about and hour until she found where he kept his clothes. They were all so weird, but she decided to pick out a long-sleeve top piece -a hoodie, but she didn't know- and put it over the shirt he had given to her. Not too terrible.

Natalia slid on the skirt, it would do for the moment, even if she didn't feel too conferrable in it. She knew he might not even want to see her, but truly, there was nowhere for her to go. Combing her hair with her fingers as best as she could, she put it up in a quick bun. Tired, she laid down on the mattress, softer than the one at the castle and fell into a light sleep.

Andre just went inside Club Amnesia, the atmosphere had a high energy, Andre just danced the night away, he didn't get any women, however as usual. He stayed at the club , drinking cocktails, sidecars and screwdrivers but by 1:00 A.M in the morning, he felt like puking after he had a bit too much. It was late to take the train as the line to Madrid was now closed. Andre left the club and took the ferry to Sevilla and then he went to Madrid by taxi.







Andre went back to his villa, the villa was very modern and his parents were wealthy buying him this villa because he now has to live his life as a responsible adult. Anyway, after the long taxi ride to Madrid from Sevilla, Andre just went to his room to see Natalia asleep on his mattress. Andre just took his tank top to reveal his defined muscular tanned body. He usually sleeps topless because the house is usually hot and warm. Brushing his teeth and taking a shower, Andre just sighed and lied down on his bed next to Natalia.

Oh, ignore the few doors part that I mentioned then, love the house xP and awesome, I would like to learn Italian or French :P-

The dreams where the same as she remembered from before; a lovely masquerade ball or the labyrinth of the castle, but it usually ended in a bad note. She woke up sweaty, her heartbeat pounding hard. It was around six in the morning even though she didn't have acess to a current clock. Outside, the sun was still under the horizon but just making his way across and up, it's yellow rays faint.

Maybe the still had to boil the water for it to be hot and have it be poured into the tubs. She wondered what things awaited for her to discover. Maybe this was her big adventure, the one she hoped for her whole life. Maybe a little bit desire than she hoped, but tha didn't matter.

Barefoot, she made her way across the room. The wind blew softly through the open window, giving the room a airy atmosphere. She looked back at Andre, still sleeping. Maybe she should wait until he woke up, so she moved to the corner of the room and stood there silently.

Andre awoke after he was , Andre got up and walked up to Natalia, "Well, did you miss me?" Andre said to Natalia

Andre was now up to Natalia, his blues eyes just staring at Natalia's face, "So, why are you here, back at this wonderful villa" He said to her. Smiling at Natalia, he changed into his swimwear (trunks and sandals) and he got Natalia a bikini. " I recently had this jacuzzi installed and I had never tried it before with someone, so do you want to try it?" Andre said to Natalia

Andre then made two Tequila sunrises and set them on the patio table near the pool and the jacuzzi and he said to Natalia "So, yes or no?"

"Miss you? More like there's no other option for me," she said, meeting his eyes just a sharply.

She laughed, "Dios, you still don't get it right? Do you know where I come from?" She was bewildered by the two pieces of clothing she had been given. "Not even our husbands would be allowed to see us in this." Natalia hadn't mentioned that she was married, but she didn't find the importance of it here. Her eyes widened slightly, but he was dead, she was no longer married!

Pushing the thought away, she followed the boy, still having no idea of what a jacuzzi was. She grabbed the drink that sat on the table and took a drink. Andre just chuckled, "Senorita, what do you want me to do, I'm not a historian, I can't find you a long dress or some corset from the 1400's, OK, nowadays, we have skimpy clothing and trendy fashions like yoga pants for girls but if you don't like this bikini, the only option I have is a one-piece swimsuit, something with a long dress is usually for formal evets, besides, it's hot in Madrid, " Andre said to Natalia as he gave her this one-piece swimsuit

Andre then made the jacuzzi bubble by pressing the button to make the water warm and relaxing and just calmed down and relaxes, He flashed a tattoo on his back saying "L'amor és inesperat*" to Natalia
