Introduction

People with powers have always existed, though not in the great number that they do now. Within the last one hundred and fifty years the world has seen a surge of individuals who possess abnormal and sometimes dangerous powers. Naturally mankind reacted on impulse fearing these individuals and to this day most still distrust them. *Supers* as they came to be called face steeper laws and often face racism and discrimination socially. A super is a human who was born with or acquired some kind abnormal powers. Technological weaponry and natural training that go's beyond a normal human does not qualify as super. Though if a piece of technology is not government sanctioned then it to faces restrictions.

Whenever a super is discovered they are instantly by law detained and examined, minor supers are let go but more powerful ones are faced with a list of tests, interrogations and psychological evaluations before they are set free and even then they face numerous restrictions placed upon the usage of their powers. A super that disregards laws these face more then a jail sentence, they face execution being labeled as a walking talking weapon of mass destruction. Most nations exhibit this sort of behavior toward supers though some are more strict then others.

This sort of act may seem outrageous but the reasoning is not completely unfounded. Many supers use their abilities as powerful weapons to aid them in criminal acts and goals, they prove to be exceptional killing machines and often there is a large death toll before a renegade super can be dealt with.

This sort of animosity has caused many supers to find hatred for non supers, anymore its almost two distinct races with bitter feelings toward each other. Despite all of this research in to supers has caused numerous breakthroughs including miraculous cures for things like cancer, genetic manipulation and other biological discoveries. It pushed military research to up its efficiency ten fold to keep up with the natural weapons supers possessed and thus humans possess tech they could have never before dreamed of. It pushed some non supers to push the very limits of there abilities to not be inferior to these supers, obesity is rarely a problem these days while the number of athletes has increased. And even still you do find rare occasions where a super exists and is somewhat admired though generally its only local to an area, region or even small town. And then there's the rare government sanctioned super here and there.

Although....such minor details and disputes will matter very little soon enough.

Toggle Rules

1: Play nice and cooperate, no god modding or auto hits Mary sue's or Gary stu's.

2: By joining you are making a commitment to a group of people that from there on rely on you to be active and make posts, emergency's can happen but if at all possible you should stay active and stay with the RP until a new arc occurs.

3: You need not be a master writer, but at least know how to use a spell checker.

4: In a dispute the GMs word is final (me)

5: Feel free to play a hero or villain or somewhere in between. But keep in mind that each arc has a *main* villain that basically is the story's purpose, think Voldermort in Harry Potter or the Joker in Batman. They are pulling the strings and have a big responsibility, if you choose to play a villain do NOT try to take the spot light from the main villain else the RP will get distorted and grind to a halt. In the first ARC I the GM controls the main villain, after the first arc I will pass the torch to one of the players that has proved trustworthy of the title.

6: Relationships and romance are fine, but keep it PG13

7: Its possible many characters will be in separate places, if this place is represented in the RPs list of places, please be sure to post from that place, any other posts can simply be posted under the normal page. Many times more places will be added as the RP continues.

8: Keep OOC chat to the OOC thread.

9: In you're character bio I need some special information as follows.

In the description pictures are fine, but if you don't have one then please describe the appearance in a bit of detail.
In the equipment section ill need you to post the following.

Origin: How did your character acquire their powers? you need to pick one of these archetypes followed by an explanation.

Natural: Natural characters have their powers through intense training, they may not actually have any at all but are still a cut above a normal human. Dare devil and Batman are good examples of a natural origin

Mutant: You were born with powers for some reason or something caused them to develop like radiation or something. Many of the X men fall in to this category.

Science: By choice or not you were given powers through science perhaps by modifying DNA or splicing. The hulk is an example of this.

Magic: You're characters wield some kind a magic, maybe it was God given or a pact with a demon. Maybe you found an ancient relic that bestowed you your power. Moon Knight is an example of this.

Technology: You have power through technology, possibly a suit or cybernetics, or maybe you are a cyborg of some kind. Iron Man is an example of this.

I also need a list and explanation of your characters powers, lets try to limit it to three powers per character and even then use some judgment. In addition you should outline some logical weakness's to your character

The land of the free, those words don't mean a lot to a super because America is one of the strictest nations when it comes to super laws. Worst the general populace are extremely hateful and racist toward supers.

Japan has some restrictions on supers but nothing very steep, however the general populace adores and admires supers

Russia by RolePlayGateway

Russia has the most strict laws requiring all supers to be under constant surveillance, however they view Supers as a powerful weapon and often hire and conscript supers to be government sanctioned super soldiers.

England falls somewhere in between the other nations. Of course supers face restrictions but they aren't steep, the populace neither hates or adores them. This is likely because England has a very low number of supers compared to other nations.

Eric grumbled figuring these mercs would try and take him down if he refused and brought himself to follow them. He got onto the chopper and and looked at the other super who was currently knocked out. He sighed as he wondered if he ever was going to get some answers. Ok the plan is find Petrovich, get some answers out of him, get out of wherever Mr. Merc is taking me, get to Sunderland, find Solkhov, and get more answers. Yep sounds like a plan he said in his head as he eyed each of the soldiers.

He took the time to glance down at his arm, the one that was stabbed multiple times when trying to chokehold the other super. It had finally stopped bleeding and the stab wounds were healing up. He felt at the mark where his chest had been slashed by a recoiled whip and found it was almost completely healed, These guys owe me a new shirt he grumbled.

The helicopter finally landed in the landing bay of the base. A group of black clad soldiers armed quickly approached the chopper ready to recieve Damon. The strapped him to a metal gurny and instread of leather straps they were made of a dark black metal. The soldiers parted as a bald scientist wearing glasses stepped forward with a long smile on his face like a child on christmas morning.

"You didn't rough up my experiment too much Seargent?"Petrovich laughed as he looked over Damon checking to see if his wounds were healing on time.

He had a few scrapes and bruises but all his major wounds were already gone.He signaled the soldiers to take him away to the special holding cell they made specially for this occasion. Heyward pulled out a cuban cigar from the pocket of his uniform. He slowly lit it and exhaled a cloud of smoke into the scientist face.

"Yea sleeping beauty there sure caused alot of paperwork Petrovich. If not for my orders to keep him alive he would surely be in a body bag before you now."

Heyward exhaled another hit from the cigar. He pointed to the super behind him.

"This kid was the one who took Damon down. He asked about you."

Petrovich grey eyes scanned the boy. His powers were quite developed. Something seemed familiar about him. He reminded him alot of Damon in a odd way.

"What is it you want comrad?"Petrovich asked.

Eric took a few minutes to look over the man, this was Petrovich? "You're Petrovich? You need to tell me everything. About who this guy is?" he pointed to Damon. "Whats this all abaout?" He motioned to the seargent, his soldiers, and the whole base, "And everything you know on Ivantik Solkhov. And don't you dare lie about it, Solkhov specifically mentioned you and him." Eric finished meaning Damon.

After doing a visual and mental inspection of the scientise, Eric figured nothing good would come of it. Petrovich might lie to cover his own hide, find anyway to keep himself say yet also being able to work his experiments on the other super. In his own opinion, Eric in his mind decided that Petrovich should be locked up in a tight secure cell and the key or whatever used to access the cell should be thrown, deleted, or burned away.
