Wyl and I have traveled for at least seven hours and can see the sun was going to set soon. "I think we should set up for the night, we can continue out journey in the morning." I say to wyl, while he stops for breath. He looks around, We're in a clearing, but with coverage overhead in case the rain got heavier. "Alright, here, help me with the tent". We had brought a small tent we could prop up against any large tree, it was perfect for travelling and would protect well enough against the wind.
When we'd set up for the night and built a small fire I knelt down by it and began preparing a simple meal of chicken and some fresh beans I'd salvaged from the camp before we set off on our trip. It wasn't much but would more than do us until the break of dawn the next day. We finnished the meal and agreed on a watch, I would sleep first and we'd swap in about two hours. This deep in the forest without a clear idea of where the nearest camp is isn't the most safe, so it's best for us to be on our gaurd. I watched Wyl rest against a large oak tree and open his journal before I lay in the tent and close my eyes.
