Story: Chris' story begins in South America. Deep in the mountains of Chile a lab had been established to cross animal DNA with humans. Several attempts were made and all failed. That was until the team was handed the answer to their biggest problem, the frailty of the human body. They found a child with a marvelous ability of regeneration. They infused the child with several different mutations of animal DNA until the thing that stood before them was no longer recognizable as a human. Even with his ability to heal the subjects body could not long endure the horrible mutations. As a last ditch effort for their experiment the try to throw some human DNA back into the mix, by mating the subject with a local woman. She ended up producing six children, and two months before she was due they began to tear her apart from the inside. She died in a pool of blood, her six small babies on the floor crying, strange boney structures protruding from their skin. The doctor attempted to incubate them.

In the end, only two of the children live. They were given the names Chris and Jack, both boys. The two were never separated, and over time displayed remarkable progress to the scientist joy. They displayed physical ability far beyond human means, and could even manipulate their bones into blade little protrusions through their skin. The bone had a density challenging that of diamond, and the healing ability was still present, the only means by which they still lived, and had separated their fate from their siblings. As Chris and Jack grew, they wondered more and more of what lay outside the walls they never got to leave. That was until the night Jack broke free. Something inside him snapped, a need to be free, a desire to see the world that drove him to rip his way out of the lab, one body after another. Chris followed behind, horrified at gore all around him, but pressed forward by concern for his brother. When he reached the outside of the lab his brother was gone, so he did the only thing he could, he ran, and that running had led him in contact with Red Arrow.
