[Sorry for the long post...Just wanted to build suspense...]
I looked up into the sky. It had been such a beautiful morning, one that I would've enjoyed with my brother and parents, playing soccer or swimming laps up and down the pool, that's if...if they were...alive. But I tried to stay positive, I had no idea how this so-called "disease" was going to end, but I wanted to stay fierce so I could defeat those zombies once and for all. I smiled thinking of that family photograph in my bedroom, one where I was the center of attention, and my brother stood beside my left, my brothers friend, Tom and parents on my right.
Oh, the good old days...I was holding a spear in my strongest and capable hand, my left, and a dagger in my right. I had been trying to run away from my town and into a near-by one, maybe where some humans would be, ones from our kind. A bunch of zombies had started to form a group. They were strong and capable of destroying a single human. Although I had as much strength as them, they would probably spilt my bones in half. I raised my spear with force, located a target and finally threw my spear at one of the leaders. Her gruesome face fell straight onto the road, her brunette hair was blood-stained - not only from eating the humans but also from the spear wound.
I started running, the town was a few steps away, I bolted toward it. "Ahh!!" They gained on me and was about to tear my leg apart...I couldn't get them away from me. One made me trip. I knew it was the end. That's when I heard the call! Another human life-form! I finally got the urge of power to wrestle them off me and shoved the dagger straight into their heart.
I ran toward justice. I had no other way but to go through the door, there was no other entry. I had to remain calm. A bunch of zombies had already formed in the entrance. I threw a spear and hit one of them.
"MARY!! HELP ME!!" I ran up the stairs...
"Shoot! Girl! Don't worry!" I called back to the girl, she was human! I threw a few of them aside on fell down the stairs colliding into the one behind it. This was a good time to run. I pushed past them, as each fell. I finally reached the door and shut it before any more had come inside. "Well...That was pleasant, wasn't it..." I smiled at the two girls inside the room.
