Full Name: Leonardo Nikos Marinos
Nicknames: Everyone calls me Leo, as that's what I tell them my name is. Or Sir, or Mr. Marinos.
Age: I look about Twenty-Seven, but I'm actually 2,459. Yeah, I look good for my age.
Birthdate: Nowadays, it would be the Second of September.
Home Town: Sparta, Greece.
Sexuality: Bisexual (everyone in Sparta was!), but over time, I'm more inclined to women.

School: Arcana Academy - I'm the Head Master of the Academy, I'm the one who opened it, and I also teach Battle Strategy. I think I'm qualified for the job.
Power: To put it bluntly, I'm immortal. I stopped aging at the age of Twenty-Seven, and I haven't aged since. I can get sick, and I can get hurt, I just physically can't die. I've been cut in half before, beheaded, stabbed, shot, hung, whatever. I don't die. It hurts like hell whenever I'm "killed" but I come back.
Likes: ♩ Eating just about anything ♩ flirting ♩ women with confidence ♩ roast dinners ♩ teaching ♩ alcohol ♩ people who actually laugh at his jokes ♩ anything to do with history ♩ living through so many different eras ♩ writing in his journal.
Dislikes: ♩ Dying ♩ when history is presented wrong ♩ creepy bugs ♩ thunder storms ♩ misbehaving students ♩ the teachers from Noctrem ♩ mineral water ♩ when people move his things, especially his journal ♩ people using their powers for bad ♩ horses.
Fears: I have algophobia, the fear of pain. Despite the amount I've been though, I absolutely hate it. I also suffer from oneirophobia, the fear of dreaming. It keeps me up half the night, as I'm petrified I'm going to see that battle again.

Personality: For someone who has to interact with a lot of student's and teachers, I'm extremely detached. I don't like to get to close to a person, because I know that I will outlive them, no matter what happens. I have a good memory, so I remember a lot of names, but that doesn't mean I will remember you as a person. Remember that - I'm not here to be your friend, I'm here to be your colleague, or your teacher. I will be there if I'm needed, because I'm quite soft like that, but I don't like to be. I only comfort those who need it as I remember how I let my brother down all those years ago. I can be very strict when I want to be, and if you do something wrong, I will call you up on it. I like the company of women, especially with no strings attached, so you could definitely say that I am flirtatious and womanizing. I mean, if I'm not going to have any friends, any family members, or a real romantic interest, I need something to keep me sane. I don't like to care about the women that I sleep with, because I honestly don't know how it wold affect my heart. Underneath my hard, womanizing exterior, I can actually be a sweet guy, with a large heart who wants to be loved so much but I'd never let myself get too attached to someone to let them find out. I feel lost and alone in life, but there is nothing I can do about it. It'll hurt me even more if I grow attached. Finally, I'm extremely loyal, and I can't stand it when someone turns their back on another. That's a one way ticket out of this school. Loyalty means everything to me, because of my upbringing, and without it, I don't think anyone can be worthy of a power.

History: I was born in the year 447 BC in Sparta to... I don't even remember my mother's names any more. All that I do remember was that my mother was extremely beautiful and my father was the Spartan King Leonidas. Yeah, that big one that led those three-hundred people into battle to be slaughtered. I also recall having two siblings, an older sister and a younger brother. My brother was only a year younger than me, so whilst I was training to become a Spartan warrior, so was he. Lets just say, I used to beat my little brother up a lot and say it was "training." It was quite fun; I never got told off for hitting him and hurting him, whilst my sister was helping mother in the kitchen - I never really got to know her. We were trained in the art of weapon handling, shielding, battle technique and position, the best fighting stances, ect. By the time I was seventeen, and my mother was sixteen, my father lead three-hundred Spartan troops against an army of three hundred thousand Persians. What a smart man my daddy was. He also decided to pull my brother and myself along with him on his quest for total demise, and being Spartan's, we had to go. As much as I despised the soldier life, I couldn't say anything about it - it was fight, or die - and I'd rather fight.

To be fair to all of the history books, we did put up a good fight. We held those Persians off for what felt like days - killing as many of them as possible. I put all of my training into action, and I did kill quite a few of those Persians, not going to lie. However, when my father finally realized that they weren't going to win this battle, he sent me and my brother away. We scrambled up the rock face closest to the battlefield, thankfully not being seen by any one else, and soon we were watching two hundred and ninety-eight Spartan men dying viciously - by spear, arrows and sword. It was a gruesome massacre, one that still haunts my dreams now, and in the end, I shielded my little brother's view. I didn't want him seeing that. However, my moving him caused us to be spotted. I was the cause of those Persians running up the cliff face, chasing us until they were in range, and then spearing us. I remember it. The spear passing through my stomach, watching it come out of the front of me... thinking about it now sends shivers down my spine. I then felt another searing pain in the back of my neck, but after seconds, I fell into darkness.

I don't know how long I was out, but I woke up. The spears were still sticking out of my neck and my stomach, and I had to pull them out myself. I've never felt pain like that. Soon, the spears were out and I was scanning the area, looking for my brother. His body wasn't on the floor, there was no blood trail... maybe he had escaped, I thought to myself? Yeah, what a stupid thought that was. As I stumbled around the corner, I saw my brother. Well, pieces of my brother. Suspended on six spears; one for his head, torso, and his four limbs. All I remember after that was throwing up profusely, screaming, and running.

The rest of my past I try to block out. I tried to die so many different ways, trying to rid myself of the memories that haunted me of my father's massacre and my brother's horrible death. I've lived through the age of Jesus Christ (although I never met the man, I did hear stories - I was in Venice at the time of his walk-abouts), where I tried to drown myself, the Middle Ages where I fought in numerous battles and died many a time, I joined the Vikings for a short while, although when they found out I wasn't really a Viking, they slaughtered me and sacrificed me to Thor. I was hanged during the French Revolution for trying to help the Royalty escape, I shot at the Spanish Armada as they tried to attack (but I was shot back), I watched Shakespeare's plays at the Globe Theatre, before jumping off of it, and then I gave up. After centuries and millenniums of trying, I realized I wasn't going to die. There was nothing else about it - it just wasn't going to happen. So, I decided to do something good with my long, [i]long[i] life. I realized that I wasn't the only one with a special power, and I wondered what those of a young age would do about their powers. How many of them were hiding away, trying not to hurt someone, or avoiding all human contact? So, I decided to open up a school - Arcana Academy, where those with Supernatural powers could come and study and be safe from any harm.

Noctrem Academy came around when some of the students started acting up in classes, blowing up things and hurting other students. I soon found out that one of the teachers was holding classes after school, encouraging the children to act out and be bad, so I kicked him out, along with the rest of the students. So, he set up his own school, for those who wanted to be bad; hence the creation of our enemy academy.

Anything else? I rarely sleep without the usage of sleeping tablets, because of my dreams, and I write everything down in my journal(s) so that one day I can donate it to some sort of museum, to give the real history to the people. I can't stand the fake history that is taught to students.

So begins...

Kali Rickerson

As Kali was sitting there she ran her hands through the grass and looked at the other two girls. She was lost in thought about her past, thinking of the only two people that she considered them her parents. She then started thinking about what she could do for her next crazy stunt. Her conversation with L the other day got her thinking. They talked about climbing to the roof of the school, which may be a possibility, she definitely needed to converse with L about this, she was thinking L musta slept in or misplaced her phone somewhere because L usually was right by her side most of the time, they had been inseparable since the day the met and became very close friends.

She felt her phone buzz but then got distracted because she heard someone coming closer “Hey girls” Kali looked behind her and saw Julie and smiled “hey you whats up?” she asked the girl. The looked down to her phone remembering she got a text:

Hey Kali. Overslept lol. Nothing unusual. Mary and I are going to see the roommate list. Wonder who I'll get.... Talk to ya soon J

Kali laughed to herself and texted back to Eden:

Ok sounds good. Can you see who I got for a roommate, I have yet to check, I went for my morning run and then ran into Kenna.

After she sent the text she heard Kenna pipe up "Oh well, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Maybe they'll be out partying so much they wont' even notice who their roommates are.... Hopefully.. If anything happens though, I won't be afraid to try to talk to him..." Kali nodded in agreement “That is true, some of them aren’t as bad as lets say ‘the fearsome five’ but this is still our school
. We shouldn‘t let that change just because they will be staying here for a bit
hopefully not too long
” as she was about to continue she heard her ringtone for Eden go off “sorry its Eden
excuse me for a few minutes” she then got up and just stepped a few feet away and answered her phone.

Before she could even get a hello in she heard Eden go off "Heeeeeeey Kali. Where are you? I'm being to lazy to look around.. “Hey Eden
you should know whenever looking for me I most likely will be outside but I guess I can help you out
I am out back of the school, come find me. Oh did you get my last text? If your still near the list can you take a look at who my roommate is? I haven’t been over that way yet to take a look. Who did you get?” she was smiling as she talked to Eden, something about him always made her happy and she always enjoyed his company. She wasn’t one that had many guys that where close friends but Eden somehow made his way in to her life.

Bells Dorson

As Bells was waiting for Ms.Wright to talk she felt her phone go off, she took it out of her pocket and looked down, she noticed it was from Benz. She grinned to herself and opened the messaged though she was still focused on Ms. Wright in a way

On my way to get a bite to eat. Om Nom Nom. Maybe even find my roomie on the way. No way in hell we're going to that dumb assembly right?

Bells chuckled, she loved Benz but only in a friendly way, she couldn’t see him any other way then that, her fingers touched the buttons on her iphone, quickly typing back:

fuck the assembly. I don’t want to listen to Marinos voice if I don’t need too. I will meet you in the cafeteria, I have yet to get my morning coffee >< but I am talking to Ms.Wright at the moment. C ya soon

As she sent the text she heard Ms. Wright “I imagine most of us are thinking the exact same thing. If everything goes the way I think they will, things will turn out for the best. For their sake, I hope they accept the fact that things are going to be quite different around here from now on. Oh, and I’m assuming you’ll be passing up this charming assembly?”

Bells grinned just a little as she noticed Ms.Wright look right into her eyes near the end “Well lets just say they will have a few choices to make while we are here. One, they are going to go through hell while we are here. Or two, they will join us and know what its like to have a good time” she smirked a bit then thought for a few minutes before she continued to answer Ms.Wright’s last question.

Ever since the first time she got sent to Ms.Wright’s office she knew that she could not lie to the teacher, but for some reason she really didn’t feel the need to lie. She was not a fan of most teachers just because they really thought she was a trouble maker, that she was lazy with her school work, and she can be really cruel. But for Ms.Wright’s class she actually did pay attention and did the work, she found Ms.Wright’s class interesting “Yup I am definitely not in the mood to spend my morning listening to someone that really dislikes me. I plan on doing something fun, not sure what that will be yet. Since there is no classes today I surely am going to take that to my advantage. I am not going to change my way of things just because we are staying in this school. I will be the same Bells everyone knows and loves or to most of the angel students here, hate. And maybe if I am lucky I will get sent you but most likely be sent to Mr. M because they did mention detention. I feel like that is going to be my new home while I am here” she let out a laugh then looked down to her phone to find out what time it was, knowing she would need to go meet Benz soon.

"Mmm, are we gonna record it on a door-frame?" she couldn't help but laugh. She always found herself laughing and having fun around Drake. Ever since they'd first met, they'd just seemed to click. And even now that they were older, that still hadn't changed. Lora had come to think that maybe it was Drake that was keeping her sane. Though she'd been coming to Arcana for a few years now, she still wasnt used to the whole...staying-in-one-place-for-long-periods-of-time thing.

Feeling him pull her closer against him, Lora had to stop the train of thoughts that were invading her mind. She was so screwed. Drake was a friend, and though he did things like this on occasion, and her body definitely reacted, he had to stay a friend. He was one of the people she was closest too, and she couldn't risk jeparodizing that.

"Erin? That's Cor's best friend..." Lora nodded with a role of her eyes. "...so you're probably going to have to get used to her presence soon." How fun/ She looked up at him, staring straight into his eyes. "I'll try my best." She gave him her best determinated look before smiling again. "She’s cool, though you probably shouldn’t piss her off. She’s a bit of a wild one." Lora shrugged with an almost innocent smile. "I'm a gypsy, Drake. We're not exactly known for being tame." As her smile changed into a smirk, she felt him release her from his grip. "I’m with the speedster in room 2." Turning around slightly, she moved to face him completely. "You're rooming with Colby? That shouldn't be too bad." She shrugged her shoulders with a nod.

"Well, you could always show me where room 2 is..." She looked up at him as, somewhere deep in the back of her mind, she almost wondered if he meant...no. Nevermind. "I’m getting sick of carrying this monster around." She smirked. "Lazy." She grabbed her bag from behind her, as she'd dropped it when she'd been assaulted by his hug, and slung it over her one shoulder. "Come on. We dont need you shrinking away to nothing before we get there. I dont have my magnifying glass and I wouldn't want to step on you."

When he made his crack about Leo not liking him, Lora chuckled. "Maybe he's just strict?" She couldnt help the laugh that erupted from her throat as she looked at him, slowly making her way up the stairs. Wait...they'd moved? When had that happened?

Image

A mischevious smirk passed her lips as her fingers closed around the small bag. Addi was like her other half. Literally. Sometimes, in her drug-induced haze, she'd actually ask herself if maybe she and Addi were sisters, seperated at birth. Addi was her sister, and Cain was like her weird sort of...pseudo-father. You couldn't have one without the other, and if you tried to seperate them...bad things happened.

"Fire, brimestone, the whole ordeal. This place is ours now, and if Mr. Stick-up-the-ass doesn't like it, he can go drop dead in an alleyway somwhere. Preferably beside a cross-dressing prostitute." Even Jade didn't know why she'd added the whole...prostitute bit. It had just been the first thing that had popped into her head, and as such, shot out her lips seconds later. Knowing that Addi knew her, Jade just shrugged it off.

Looking over at her mock innocent face, Jade almost burst into a fit of laughter. "Sweetie, your liver died a long time ago. And I dont think mine ever really existed to be honest. And you and I both know we barely ever think clearly." She raised her eyebrows in obvious sarcasm and the whole you-know-its-true sort of look.

"Sounds like a plan to me. That might very well turn out to be the best of my day, actually. A joint with you, and then an assembly I most likely wont remember a word of. Interesting won't even begin to cover it." She nodded, shrugging her shoulders and closing her grip around the little bag.

Before Jade could answer on whether or not they should go find the other girls of their little...group, a wild Scott appeared, and it took him all of about two seconds to sort of single out Addi a bit, not that Jade particularly cared. And, not that he wasn't hot and all, but....nevermind. That wasn't something Jade normally talked about. That, and scott wasn't the brightest spliff in the pack. But, over time, Jade had sort of become accustomed to it. Perhaps she could sort of consider him a friend. He seemed cool enough, and he had a nice enough power so...what was there not to like?

"We're just going to...have some fun before this assembly shit. Cor went...in that general direction, I think. I'm pretty sure I passed her when I was walking over here." She looked up to him. "And yes, I'm rooming with little miss McKenna. The bitch won't know what hit her. Or...she might, because it will definitely be something big and hard. Maybe a chair." There was a certain evil glint in her eyes that was usually, if not always present with Jade.

Ellie sat quietly in the corner of her bedroom, rubbing gently at her temples. She had become attuned to the voices of the Noctrem students and the Arcana ones individually, and with all of them in one small school, it was beginning to take a toll on her brain. Her head was hurting, unable to ignore some of the louder thoughts coming from downstairs; the protests of Corentine Quellen, Colby Haskin's excitement, the slight fear in Sky Byrnes. She wished that there was some way to stop the voices from entering her head against her will, but there really was no way to do it; she had tried many different ways, and researched for months, but to no prevail. She was just stuck in a vicious cycle of pain, and knowing every body's business. Rubbing her temples was one calming way that she had found oddly soothed the pain, however, that was it. That was all there was that she could do. "Stupid power." She grumbled to herself, her eyes closed as she concentrated on peace.

However, peace was not what she found. A few seconds later, there was a knocking on her door, and the girl's head was snapping up, a smile on her face. She didn't even have to hear the voice of the person outside to know who it was - she could hear his thoughts well enough. Izaiah Dorson was one of the people who's voices she could pick out of a crowd, an extremely difficult feat for a mind-reader. She slowly got up from her corner, her eyes opening as she moved. Izzy was one of her best friends, one of the only people in the entire school who wasn't afraid of her power, and didn't mind being around her despite of it. It was nice, not being treated like a freak and a leper for once, and it honestly made her smile. Izzy was such a lovely guy, and there were butterflies in her stomach as she moved towards the door, opening it with a bright smile on her face, one only for him.

"Good morning, sunshine." She smiled, leaning head throbbing head against the door frame, hiding her pain as she usually did. "How are you today?"

They had survived it; their first proper argument. Leo couldn't stop himself from smiling as he felt Amy relax a little into his arms after he had pulled her into his loving embrace, literally feeling the tension leave her body. He felt that something was wrong with her, by the way that she was taking in longer breaths than usual, and the strange way that her body was moving, but he just put it down to the fact that they had just finished arguing. It had to take a few minutes for the anger and the hurt to properly die down at least, and that's what he believed her to be doing. With a smile still on his face, the immortal male held her close to his body, never wanting to let her go. "I'm sorry." He whispered again as he pressed his lips into her hair, taking in the beautiful scent of his Amy.

However, the moment was soon taken away from him as Amy quickly pulled away, after his little joke. "Wha--" he began asking her what he had done to upset her or something, his eyes changing from calm and serene to worried and a little frightened. But, she hadn't just moved away from him. No, the woman that he loved had dashed over to the toilet seat, and she had began to throw up the contents of the wonderful dinner that she had cooked last night, despite how little of it the two of them had actually eaten. Leo moved over to her and pulled her head back gently, brushing it around her ears, moving it off of her face. The man held her brunette locks back with one hand, the other he used to gently rub her back. He had always found that helped when being ill, the soothing motion of a hand rubbing your back, and so, he was trying to pass that on to his beloved.

His eyes were filled with worry, his body tense as he looked down at her. She hadn't been ill the day before - she had been perfectly fine. He had no idea what could have caused this - it definitely wouldn't have been food poisoning, as he had eaten the exact same thing and felt fine. Once Amy had stopped throwing up, the male quickly moved from his position, grabbing his water glass from the bathroom side, filling it up with fresh, cool water. "Here you are, baby." He spoke softly, soothingly, holding it out to her for her to take.

The male then heard a knock at the door, so he put the glass down next to Amy, popping his head around the bathroom door. Vince's voice floated through to his ears after a short burst from Keirol, causing the male to grown inwardly. He called out through the doors, obviously not wanted to leave Amy alone in this state, and... well, his manhood was only being covered by a towel. "Vince, kinda' busy right now. Can it wait?" He then moved his head back inside the bathroom, smiling at Amy. "Sorry baby."

Erin didn't pay much attention as Cor dragged her up to Jay's room, her eyes still scanning the crowds of people, looking for her beloved Keirol. She pouted ever so softly when she couldn't see him, ignoring the stupid wink that Drake had shot her way, before following Cor up to the elevator shaft. However, soon, she was listening to her best friend speak, nodding along to what she was saying. "Yeah, I can't see him around. Jay's probably the next best idea." She smiled softly, dragging her suitcase behind her, pulling it by the handle along the linoleum floor. Her heels clicked as she walked, mimicking the noise of Cor's, echoing around the halls of the school.

"It wasn't just sex? My god, Cor, you're going soft!" Erin nudged her best friend, a playful smile on her face as the two of them made their way towards Jay's room. The room that he was going to have to share with Sky. Oh, that was going to be hilarious. Erin thought that there was probably going to be a lot of late night noise coming from that room, from Cor, from Jay and from Sky. The girl inwardly shook her head, thinking of how she was mostly going to be spending her nights. She wouldn't be in the room with Loralei, the gypsy girl for much of the time that they were here. Oh no, she was going to be sleeping in the arms of her beau, of her Keirol. A stupid smile came onto the girl's face as she walked, thinking about her boyfriend. Her free hand came up to gently touch the pendant moving around her neck, before bumping into someone. "Shit." She muttered as she bumped into Cor, who had stopped in front of Jay's room.

The blonde hadn't realized that the door had been opened, that Killian person standing there. She let her hand move once in a short wave as Cor introduced her to the male, the one that she had seen around a couple of times. He was friendly with Jay? Eesh, bad move, Elastic man. Soon, Jay was entering the scene, wrapping his arms around Cor, enveloping her in kisses and what not. The girl faked being sick, poking her tongue out as she did so. "Do you guys have to? Honestly?" She grumbled, before a deep voice made her turn around quickly. The feigned sicky expression on her face was replaced instead by a bright smile, one she only had for Keirol. The girl leaned her bags against the nearest wall, before moving closer to her boyfriend. She wrapped her arms around his waist, holding him close to her. Well, if Cor was going to flaunt her relationship, why couldn't Erin. "Hi." She murmured softly into his shirt, before craning her head, looking up at him. "It was fine. I think Cor drooled on my shoulder as she snoozed, but other than that..." She smiled, pressing her lips to his in a short, sweet kiss. Then, she noticed the look on his face, a glare being shot at Killian. She was going to ask him why, but it was then that she felt the male's eyes on her body, and felt herself chuckle quietly. Erin wrapped her arms tighter around his waist, continuing to look up at him through her eye lashed, a grin on her face. "Down, boy."

Miss Amalthea Roerig

Amy hated throwing up. It was the most disgusting, repulsive thing ever, and she couldn’t even breathe as the little bit she’d had to eat the day before kept forcing its way up and into the toilet she was bent over, blocking out airways. Soon, she could feel Leo’s hand gently gathering her hair, his other hand caressing her back and she felt herself growing thankful once more that this man loved her, even as she sat there, fighting to breathe while the lumpy, yellow substance forced its way up. Maybe this was a delayed allergic reaction to the red wine from last night? She was grasping at straws though, because she knew her body would’ve reacted sooner if that had been the case. The thing was, however, that others possibilities didn’t fit with this random pattern either. Tears began streaming from her eyes in frustration at her inability to breathe. When it finally stopped, Amy fell down onto her bum, heaving for air as she took some toilet paper and wiped her mouth, throwing it into the toilet afterwards.

Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed Leo moving from her, filling a glass with water and she closed her eyes, trying to calm her body from the shock it had just experienced. Normally if a student had come to her with similar issues, she would’ve asked about sex, protection and the likes, because it would be one of the first signs of pregnancy. But with her, that simply couldn’t be the case. She’d only had sex last night, and before that, she hadn’t had sex in something like half a year or so. Besides, she was on the pill, not that it was a certain guarantee of anything, but still. The mere fact that she sexually couldn’t be suffering from morning sickness already, completely erased that possibility, so what was it? Then she heard Leo’s voice and her eyes fluttered open to see him. She smiled weakly at him as she took the glass, shaking a little. She would calm down in a bit, but right now her body was still adjusting. “Thanks,” she said hoarsely before taking a big gulp of the water, closing her eyes as it soothed her aching throat and made her breathing much smoother.

Her eyes followed him as he poked his head out the bathroom door and she wondered who was knocking. Probably either Vince or Keirol. If it was important, Leo would merely take care of it. She wasn’t helpless after all. She could handle herself and she didn’t want him forsaking his Academy merely because she couldn’t keep her dinner down for some odd reason. Her ears perked when she heard Vince’s voice, wondering what he wanted. She frowned slightly as she thought it over. He’d probably felt the emotional explosion between her and Leo. She sighed, shaking her head a little. She’d have to talk to him about that. What if they’d still been arguing? All in all, she didn’t want Vince coming by every time Leo and she had a blow-out, because she knew there would be more to come. Fine that he hadn’t tuned it out; he couldn’t help his powers any more than she or Leo could theirs, but he didn’t have to act on it. She knew he’d be understanding enough and respect her wishes on this. She couldn’t remember Vince ever being difficult in that department, which was why she loved him. As a friend, of course. Never more.

She smiled softly when Leo returned to her and she took another sip of the water, looking up at him through a veil of dark, thick eye lashes. “It’s fine,” she said, still smiling that soft smile of hers, “I’m fine. Really
I don’t know what just happened.” Truthfully, she did feel much better already, even though she had a terrible taste in her mouth, and probably even worse breath. Yuck. “Just need to brush my teeth.” She struggled to her feet again, quickly regaining her balance as she stood and went to the sink. She felt weak. Not only tired, but weak. Was she coming down with something? That was weird. She was literally never ill. Ever. Her magic provided some kind of shield, she supposed, supporting her immune defenses. She shook her head a little, trying to calm it as she took her toothbrush, adding toothpaste before she began brushing her teeth, getting rid of the vile remnants of her dinner. She’d actually puked in front of Leo. That when it hit her. This was downright embarrassing. What came next? Peeing with the door open? Gods. She shivered at the thought. What was he thinking? She glanced at him with toothbrush in her mouth, gauging his reaction for the first time since her ghastly display.

Drake Quellen

Drake laughed at Lor’s comment. Ah, this girl. He loved how she always played right along with his bullshitting. Not a lot of people had the wits to. Granted, he was good so it was understandable, but he always like a good game with an opponent who actually proved a challenge. “We could,” he said thoughtfully, grinning down at her. “But I think it would qualify as damaging school property so Scary Marinos might give us a talking to.” He wiggled his eyebrows at her and chuckled. He knew how close Lora felt to Leonardo Marinos, which was funny because the guy hated Drake. In truth, maybe that made Lora all the more appealing. It was just entertaining. In reality, Marinos had a stick lodged up his ass and Drake couldn’t help wonder what would happen if someone pulled it out. Ah hell, he had so many tongues up there it probably wouldn’t make much of a difference. Thinking of that, wasn’t Colby one of them? The thought made Drake smile. Maybe rooming with Colbs might end up pretty entertaining after all. As it was, however, he was considering how they’d swing things because the way he saw it, they were both pretty sexual guys. In different ways. Very different ways, thank you.

Drake snorted in amusement at Lora comparing gypsies to Erin, “no, I mean
that’s her power. Erin goes all Hulk when she’s pissed, and she’s got a bit of a temper.” He smiled secretively at how much that benefited him in reality. Then he laughed a little. “So yeah, I don’t think you can quite compare it, sweetheart.” Soon, she was commenting on his roommate and Drake smiled casually. “Nah, I’m good, really. It’s fine.” He didn’t mention how he was starting to consider the entertaining aspects of rooming with Colby. Honestly Drake rarely voiced his actual thoughts. He never lied either; he just withheld certain information he didn’t see fit to share. Not that people noticed. They were too caught up in his smiles and the fact that he always seemed so carefree and casual in everything he did. So they didn’t even notice. The same way they very rarely noticed that he didn’t actually give a shit about them.

He could easily narrow down the people he himself considered friends to one degree or another; Cor, Lora, Lulu, Jackson. Now, why was his sister on the list? Well, he sometimes disliked his sister to an extreme degree, but he knew she cared about him, just like he did her. They never showed it, but they did. Jackson had a stick up his ass, but Drake considered him a friend nonetheless. Maybe because Jackson was the kind of guy Drake knew he would be able to count on in a sticky situation and honestly they’d grown to become pretty good friends this last month. Lulu spoke for herself; she was Lulu, and the same could be said for Lora who he’d known for years. So yeah, considering how many people thought themselves his friends, he didn’t really return the feeling a lot. Of course, Jaysin would’ve probably been on the list years back, but then he’d fucked Cor completely up by leaving and ignoring her existence, and now things were just fucking bungled. Theo’s ex, Scott would’ve been included too, but he was dead, so
 yeah.

When Lora commented on him being Lazy, Drake merely smirked at her. “You say that like it’s something new,” he countered. Of course, Drake wasn’t usually lazy. Not really. He was the kind of guy who’d get up at 5 am in the morning just to get a good work-out before school, and he wasn’t being lazy right now either. He just frankly wanted to get the whole room-introduction thing over with so he could move on with his life. With her next comment, Drake laughed, ruffling up her hair just to show how easily he could reach. “What kind of gypsy are you, forgetting your magnifying glass? Really, Lor. What would your mother say?” He said playfully, feigning outrage at the fact, before grinning down at her. “Besides, I thought we’d already settled that you need to stop dreaming about being taller than me.”

“Strict?” Drake repeated her words about Leo thoughtfully, almost tasting the word before laughing. “That’s an understatement. He’s such a rule-rider, it’s almost embarrassing. He’s going to have his work cut out for him now that all these idiots from Noctrem are moving in, though. My sister and her bitches are going to be hell to deal with while they get settled in, for instance. Now, they’ll need to establish their little social order for real, and it’s going to cause trouble because those chicks want to be on top.” He shook his head, smiling wryly before giving her a half-concerned look, “better stay out of their way for the next couple of weeks, love.” It was a rare show of affection from Drake. Mostly because it was genuine; not faked in any way. He actually was worried about Lor now that she was staying with Erin, and he knew Cor didn’t like his little gypsy friend. Never had. He didn’t want her getting hit in the crossfire, so to speak. Not that he didn’t know she could handle herself, but compared to some of these girls, Lora’s control of her magic was shady at best.

Izzy Dorson

Izzy was leaning against the wall, lost in thought when Ellie opened the door. It made him jump, half of him went into the wall. He quickly straightened himself, stepping a few feet from the wall and smiled to Ellie when he heard her say”Good morning, sunshine. How are today?”. He stood up straight “I am doing quite well today Ellie, got all my work done for classes and got to play some music before I got ready. Always a nice way to start my day at least.” He looked at her for a few minutes, he figured with more students that it must harder for Ellie because of her power “Now how is Ellie doing this morning?” he looked at Ellie with a concerned look.

Just then he heard the announcement from Mr.Marinos over the speaker, he could tell there was some sort of strain in his voice, that got Izzy wondering what has gotten to Mr.Marinos so early in the morning. Izzy let the thought go as he began talking again “Would you like to join me to get something to eat before the assembly? Maybe we can grab something and go somewhere less
crowded to eat”. He sometimes wondered how Ellie could stand hearing all the thoughts in her head, he knew it would probably drive him crazy.

Izzy looked around him as he waited for Ellie, he wondered where Elijah was this morning and wondered if he would be interested in having breakfast with him and Ellie. He shifted his feet a little and looked to his watch. “Maybe later on I can get my guitar, we could take a walk, and I could play a bit if you would like to listen? Maybe Elijah would like to join us. I still have yet to see him this morning. I also need to see who my roommate is, I hope they aren’t too bad and I also hope they know how to clean up after themselves.” Izzy has been going over in his head on who he wished he could have as a roommate, he really wished it could be Elijah or even Zac but would just have to wait to see who it was.

He hoped for at least today he would not run into his cousin or her friends, he couldn’t stand those five and always felt very uncomfortable around them and sometimes even went thru things because of his nerves. Then he wouldn’t hear the last of it and it drove him nuts. He just really couldn’t understand how people could be so cruel and nasty to others. They sometimes made him mad when they would pick on some of the other girls such as Lily, who he tries to look after her when it comes to the Noctrem students. He has stood up to a few of them which usually doesn’t end well but he can say he at least tried. Izzy let his train of thoughts go and focused on Ellie once more.

Lulu's tensing upon his arrival made the male chuckle slightly, and soon, she was relaxing once again, knowing it was him. Jackson let her touch his chin, something he was very strange about - he didn't like people touching him, especially people he wasn't close to in any way, shape, or form, but Lulu... well, she was his best friend. His very best friend. Yes, he had Drake, and Jules, and Scott, but there was no-one that he was closer to than Lulu. She had been there throughout the two hardest times in his life, the deaths that had changed his entire life forever. He hadn't spoken to her much after that, had ignored her phone calls, texts and surprise visits, but she had always kept in contact with him, one way or another. She hadn't let him slip away, much to his own gratitude. She was a rock to him. A sturdy, beautiful rock. "You're not allowed to be an insomniac, missy." He smiled, taking her hand as it came down from his chin, squeezing it lightly.

"But, I suppose that reasons are reasons. Who knows, maybe I'll join you on one of your midnight rendevouz with Drake." Jack winked playfully at her, before the head teacher's voice took over the intercom. He listened to the message, frowning a little at the male's tone of voice. He wasn't insanely close to the male, like some of the girls around the school, or Keirol, but he was curious as to what could have made the usually calm and collected teacher act out a little like that. He just nodded when Lulu spoke, voicing his own thoughts almost exactly. "Maybe you should talk to him later about it." The male spoke, remembering in that moment that Lulu herself liked to spend time with the head-master, and that the two of them were quite close. Then again, if he wanted to find out something, Amber Romano was probably the person that he would ask. But, he wasn't the most curious and nosy person around; he wasn't one for gossiping.

However, Jackson was quickly brought back to the moment at hand, catching his best friend, his hands clasping at her waist to steady her. His eyes were filled with a momentary flash of worry, before she soon explained her falling over. "Caffeine?" He repeated, before nodding. "Right, the cafe is this way." He smiled softly, wrapping his arm around her waist, keeping a hold of her. He was a little worried now, and on her journey to the cafeteria, he didn't want her falling over again.

When they got there, he sat her down slowly in the chair, a smile on his face. "You, sit there." Jack's playful smile was on his face, obviously going to buy both coffees himself. He then walked over to the till, buying two cups of coffee, before then heading over to the table once more. "Here you go. What is it with you Noctrem kids and your drinking?" He asked her, a playful smirk coming onto his face as he took a sip of his hot drink.

Ben saw Elijah turn around after he gave him a small pat on the back. Apparently Ben's smile was addictive and Elijah also gave him a smile. Maybe we will get along quite nicely thought Ben, after all he didn't really have anything against the guy. Maybe because Elijah was from Arcana Ben was a bit wary, but that's no reason to judge the poor guy before he actually got to know him. Ben, as everyone pretty much everyone knew, was one of the more pro-Noctrem, anti-Arcana students, although he did have many friends in Arcana so he tried not to judge people automatically, although most of the time he did. This wasn't any different with Elijah. Ben has him tagged as a nature-loving activist, but he thinks that something has made him that way, because from a glance Elijah looks even Noctrem material, until he starts to talk about nature and animals and stuff. Ben loves one kind of animal, cats. Hopefully he'll be able to bring Lucifer to the dorms, although he will have to ask for permission from Leo and Elijah, and of course teach him to stay hidden. After all, he didn't want him to meet Koa, Addi's cat. Ben truly hoped that they could get along, without changing the other or being a bother. In Ben's opinion that would be the best relationship they could have. If they were too good of friends and then got into a horrible fight, they still have to live with each other, and that won't be pretty.

“Hello Ben. Welcome to Arcana,” Elijah said. Ben gave him a grin. It was actually the first time someone welcomed him to Arcana and truthfully it felt pretty damn good. It weird, he's been learning here for a month and yet this was the first time they said welcome. Actually now he did feel welcome. To him, it felt like all the Noctrem students were just unwelcome guests that they have to help because if they didn't they "wouldn't be any better than they are". ”Just give me a second and I’m just going to look for the key," Elijah continued without giving Ben a chance to say anything such as, "Thanks man. while shaking his hand. Ben watched as Elijah rummaged through his pockets to find the spare key. Ben hoped that Elijah was a bit of a messy guy like him. Well not entirely messy that you could just call him a slob, just a bit disorganized. Those people that happened to be really neat were also a bit uptight. Although not always. “Here it is, Ben. You can keep this one, I already have my copy.”, Elijah told him as he handed Ben his own set of keys to the room. Ben was truly grateful for that key and it was very clear to see that, just from his reaction. There had been one too many nights were he was locked out of his room because he roommate had the key. Ben took the key and from it pocket took out one of those key covers. It was orange, of course, and the hole on the top had a chain through it. Ben quickly explained, "This is the only way I don't loose the key." Then he put the chain around his neck and gave another one of his famous grins. Do you need help with your things? Let’s go upstairs and I’ll show you our room.” Elijah said as Ben saw him glance around looking for his things. "Nope I'm fine man, Ben said as he kicked his duffel bag. Suddenly Ben recieved a text, "Sorry, just a minute he said as he took out his phone.

fuck the assembly. I don’t want to listen to Marinos voice if I don’t need too. I will meet you in the cafeteria, I have yet to get my morning coffee >< but I am talking to Ms.Wright at the moment. C ya soon

Ben quickly wrote back. After all, he didn't want Bells to get to the cafeteria and not find him there.

Bells, I met Elijah, my new roomie. I'm going to go crash in the room. get ur coffee cause u know I don't love you when ur cranky and come to my room.. room 8. :P

Ben wanted to text Ashy, but it was kinda rude to keep Elijah waiting. He'll text her when he gets to the room. Ben grabbed him bag and started off towards his room, in the opposite direction. Only after walking about ten steps did he realize that it was the wrong way. Quickly, he did a full 180 and walked towards Elijah. "You know what? Lead the way my good man" Ben said in a perfect British accent. After all it is his homeland, just because he didn't speak it daily doesn't mean that his accent wasn't perfect and from what Ben could tell, Elijah was Irish. Maybe this roommate setting wouldn't be so bad after all.

Jack always had the ability to make her feel better. Lulu smiled at his reply. "You're not allowed to be an insomniac, missy," he teased. She rolled her eyes at him immediately and sighed, trying to stifle her desire to yawn. “If I had any choice, I wouldn’t be. But something happened to my AC unit in my motel room. The heat has been killing me on top of
well. Yeah. I’m an insomniac,” she rambled, shaking her head and shrugging. She couldn’t very well change the way things had been but she could do all she could to make things run smoothly by laying low for awhile.

"But, I suppose that reasons are reasons. Who knows, maybe I'll join you on one of your midnight rendevouz with Drake," Jack countered, winking at her while she tucked her chin and looked at him with a coy smile. Lulu held her tongue between her teeth and felt the heat rise in her cheeks before she could stop it. The blush was powerful and she turned away from her best friend while she recuperated. Then of course, she found herself stumbling right in front of him, the heaviness of her migraine catching up on her. Leo’s announcement came of course and she heard it overhead, commented and Jack replied.

When she suggested coffee, he seemed more than content to help her. Lulu nodded at his repetition, swallowing back dry mouth and her desire to heave into the nearest bin. Though she had spent a month at Arcana, some areas of the school were still beyond her. The walls could begin to look the same and she’d never really ate much on campus as the motel had free room service. "Right, the cafe is this way,” he acknowledged, taking the lead. Lulu was incredibly grateful. If she’d wandered off on her own, in this state, she didn’t doubt that she’d either end up lost or find trouble – likely both. It wasn’t that she wanted to be at the center of distaste at Noctrem. She just attracted it and rubbed all the students the wrong way it seemed. But she never wanted to compromise on what she liked to do, or who she was.

Jack’s hold on her waist made her smile lighten. She held a hand over his initially, a tickle rippling through her waist. Initially she wiggled out of his grasp but she felt her left knee shake and nearly buckle. Fortunately Jack was there to hold her up again. It suddenly seemed daunting to walk around without his assistance so when he helped her along, she didn’t swat him away again.

The cafeteria smelt sweet and of all the good things – pancakes, coffee, eggs, bacon and more. She settled herself into a chair that Jack pulled out for her. When she sat it was more of a collapse but she shuffled herself closer to the table at hand to cover that fact. "You, sit there," he instructed. Lulu cradled her head in her hands and moaned her content response.

The power hangover was brutal. Lulu couldn’t remember it being this bad for a number of years. Cain pushed her, sure, but lately she’d also wanted herself to do better. As a result, she’d given into his taunts and pestering to give more. Unfortunately now she was paying for it and it felt like a rubber mallet continued to tap on the back of her skull. The dull ache was aggravating and nearly had her seeing double while her body tried to compensate for it’s lack of sleep. Her eyes were slightly irritated, which of course didn’t help to how she appeared. Anyone who didn’t know her better would think she was drunk when she really wasn’t.

"Here you go,” Jack said upon his return. Lulu startled, sitting upright in her seat as she came to from her thoughts. She sat upright and reached out, her hand stopping inches short of his arm defensively before she smiled weakly. “You’re heaven on legs,” she thanked, taking the cup he offered with two hands and setting it before her like she would a priceless trinket.

“What is it with you Noctrem kids and your drinking?" he asked, smirking with his tease before he sipped. Lulu popped back the tap on her cup and sipped, finding it milky and sweet just the way she liked. Only Jack would ever get her coffee order right. He didn’t seem aghast at how much sugar she liked.

“I have not been drinking,” Lulu countered, nursing her paper cup between her hands and leaning her weight into her elbows which were propped up against the table. “Yesterday I worked with Cain. We’ve been working on good luck charms, bad luck omens etc. That and I was trying to test the degrees of fortune I can bestow on people. We’ll see how that turned out. He bought a lottery ticket yesterday after my efforts. If he won the five grand I promised him, then we’ll know that this was worth it.”

Lulu felt comfortable telling Jack all of this. Few people, aside from Leo himself, knew how much she worked with Cain on her own. Classroom work didn’t offer her much by way of skill building. Cain enjoyed it, and of course she wasn’t against giving the man a few thousand dollars – or more helping him win it – since his school had burnt down. That and Lulu knew that Jack wouldn’t immediately ask for her to help him win money. He knew how much she hated that given how much her parents had milked her powers in the initial years.

"What do you think the assembly is about? We rarely had them at Noctrem," she asked him, looking at him with sleepy eyes and a near loopy grin. There was some relief from the coffee but not much. She needed rest more than anything.

With Vince not replying to him, Leo turned his attention back on the beautiful brunette who needed him most. He felt bad for snapping at her moments ago, when she had been feeling sick like this. Amy hadn't told him that she had been feeling sick, and he wished he hadn't acted that way towards her. At least she was drinking the glass of water that he had given it - it was something, at least to have back in her stomach, something to line it once again. Keeping a stomach completely empty after throwing up was one of the worst things, he had found, and water was one of the most refreshing things. His eyes were still filled with worry as he crouched down on the floor next to her, brushing a stray piece of hair back off of her clammy forehead. What had caused this illness of hers? She had been fine...

"No, I don't either." He repeated, his voice soft, mirroring the smile that Amy was putting onto her face. It did make him smile, knowing that even after being sick, she would do her best to look happy and smile in front of him. Leo practically jumped up from his position as Amy struggled to stand up, his arm coming to wrap around her waist, being careful not to put any pressure on her stomach. He didn't want her falling over, and would be by her side for as long as it took for her to regain stability once more. However, it didn't take her very long, and soon, the immortal male was letting her go, allowing her to move over to the sink. He followed her closely however, keeping a watchful eye on her. His worries still hadn't left his body, and his expression was a mixture of confusion and care. His Amy was never ill, and if she was, she would just heal herself upon learning about it, wouldn't she? There had to be something that had upset her stomach - something out of the ordinary.

The only thing out of the ordinary that had happened, was that the two of them had slept together for the first time the night before, but that couldn't have anything to do with it? Unless it was the strange sensation of it, put together with the lack of sleep? Yes, that had to have something to do with it - the lack of sleep! Leo soon realized that he was standing there like a gormless idiot, pondering over the reason why his girlfriend had been ill, with the stupidest look on his face. He stood up properly, moving to once again place his hand on her side.

"Do you think it could have been the lack of sleep? A disruption to your usual sleep pattern?" He asked her, his head cocking to the side like a puppy-dog. "Shit, I need to get ready... I'm sorry to rush you baby, I really am. But... we need to get ready for the assembly." He spoke softly, pressing his lips to her cheek, his eyes changing from serene worry, to alarming panic. "Do you want me to leave so you can shower? I'd rather not leave you on your own though."

Miss Amy Roerig

Amy loved how Leo was there to support her wobbly body, like she was a fragile porcelain doll. No one had ever treated her like that
maybe because she didn’t usually accept it. In fact, Amy tended to find it a little degrading that people assumed her to be so brittle merely because her power wasn’t destructive, or because she was a fundamentally good person
or the worst one; because she was a woman. But with Leo, she found herself loving it. She liked being ‘the maiden in distress’ with him, and only him. It made her happy because it only showed her how much he loved and cared about her, even though he had yet to say the words.

Then again, she hadn’t told him that she loved him either. She would, though. Soon. She was just
waiting for the right moment. Maybe later today, maybe in two days, maybe in a week. She didn’t know, but she wanted it to be perfect. A moment to be savored and remembered. Well
if he said it back, of course, but she had a feeling he would. So she leaned on him, using his firm form to gain proper balance for herself, knowing he was there for exactly that purpose.

Soon, she was brushing her teeth, glancing at Leo with her toothbrush in her mouth, worried about him being grossed out by her. He didn’t look disgusted at all though. In fact, Leo looked like he was currently trying to solve the most complicated of riddles, his eyes sort of staring off into the distance, the way they usually would when her Leo was deep in thought. She smiled a little, despite the toothbrush in her mouth. She had been thinking silly thoughts again. Leo didn’t care about this stuff; he was only worried about her. He would never scrunch up his nose in disgust at a little vomit. What on earth had been funding those thoughts? Gods, how she loved him. Even the silly look he sported right now.

She shook her head a little, happiness lighting up her eyes against as she turned to the sink to finish brushing her teeth. Just as she turned the faucet on, spitting out the toothpaste remnants to mix with the clear substance, Leo spoke again, his hand on her side. The feeling of his large, callused hand on her, calmed her insides. How that worked, she didn’t know, despite her fairly significant knowledge of the human body and its functions. She just didn’t have a proper explanation for the healing effect Leo had on her. Maybe her powers were given a sort of kick. That actually made sense since they were tied to her emotions.

She smiled up at him after his suggested explanation. “I don’t think so,” she said, mulling it over all the while, washing off the toothbrush before putting it back in its place, “it’s only one night. The body is able to handle that without much trouble. It shouldn’t affect me like that. But
it was brief. It’s passed now.” With her last sentence, wonder entered her tone. She truly was curious. Then again, she supposed there was no sense in pondering it too much right now. After all, it had only been this one time. She watched as his eyes transformed, suddenly taken over my panic. Was it that late already? She frowned a little as he began speaking of them having to hurry, her head cocking to the side a tad. “I know, I know,” she said calmly, turning a little to look at him fully, her one hand coming up to cup his cheek. Man, was she glad she’d brushed her teeth. “Don’t worry. We’ll make it.” Her smile grew a little, her eyes fluttering closed when his lips touched her cheek, that familiar spark flowing through her. Even now, after a full night of lovemaking and then throwing up, Leo’s touch on her skin was still enigmatically amazing.

Then he talked about leaving her to shower and she opened her eyes to slits, peering up at him before another smile touched her lips. A wonderful, blissful and loving smile. She ran the thumb of the hand on his cheek, over his cheekbone, her violet eyes finally opening fully. “No, don’t leave. You need a shower too, right? Though I feel fine. It’s completely gone. I’m all healthy already.” She said, reassuring him. “So, no need to worry.” She removed her hand from his face only to use both hands to untie her robe, easily shrugging it off. Amy had always felt comfortable with her body, and with Leo, that only increased. He made her feel like the most beautiful woman in the world.

“Shower with me?” She asked him while reaching down to remove the towel around his waist, letting it drop to the floor with her robe, a slightly mischievous smile coming onto her lips, “it might even save us some time.” She then let her hands dance up his chiseled torso, kneading the firm muscle under the perfect skin. “We should probably save playtime in the shower for later, though. I think we need more time.” Besides; she still felt weak. Not that she felt a need to worry him with that information. At those last words, Amy grinned, a playful glint in her eyes, taking Leo’s hand as she guided him to the shower with her, then switched on the water, gracefully moving out of the way of the stream to avoid the cool temperature. It’d be a little while till it was heated properly, she knew.

Leo's face contorted into an expression of confusion when Amy shot down his suggestion of her sickness coming from a lack of sleep, but he didn't doubt her. She was, of course, the school nurse, and had a extended knowledge of health, illness and healing, due to her own gifts, and probably research. So, he just nodded, keeping his arm wrapped around her side, still not putting much pressure on it, in case he hurt her. "Well, at least it's gone now. We can hope it stays away." He smiled softly, before then, his face was changing, and the alarm and panic took over his body. Was he going to be late? Was anyone going to actually turn up? What was he really going to talk about to keep everyone interested? It was going to be an assembly about the houses and schedules - something obviously incredibly important, but something he was sure that the Noctrem students wouldn't be too happy about being forced to sit down and listen to.

"You sure you're healthy?" Leo asked her with a mischievous tone, a soft smile replacing the scowl on his face for a few brief moments, mirroring her own beautiful smile. The hand on his cheekbone obviously calmed him down ever so slight, any sort of touch from her soothing any sort of worries that he had. How she could do it, he had no idea, but he loved the feeling of it. then, her robe was being shrugged off, falling to the floor, followed closely by Leo's jaw. Her body never failed to cause him awe; Amy was just so beautiful, so confident, and so... his. Then, his own towel was being dropped onto the floor, revealing his own private area to the room once again. Both of the male's arms came to wrap around her waist, pulling her naked body further towards his own, skin touching skin.

"Really? We have to put it off?" The immortal male pouted childishly, before he was being pulled into the water, his body being the one to be covered in the cool water, his girlfriend being smarter, moving out of the way. The male practically yelped as the freezing water hit his skin, trying to move quickly out of the way of the water, but having nowhere to go, seeing as Amy was there. By the time the water grew hotter, Leo's expression had changed into one of a playful smile, turning to face his girlfriend with a mischievous, crooked grin. "You're going to pay for that."

"All students to the Great Hall please, assembly beings in five minutes. A reminder than any absentees will result in punishment."
Leo placed the tannoy phone back down on it's holder, this one not in his room however - it was just underneath the podium stand in the hall, the one that he was currently standing behind. The headmaster was wearing a classic outfit of his, a smart shirt, tie and jeans, disliking the feel of suit pants again his legs. There were chairs set up throughout the hall to accommodate for all of the students, a few already being seated, and chairs behind him for all of the teachers. Now, he just had to wait for the rest of the students to arrive; if they hadn't in five minutes, he was going to start anyway, punishing those who didn't turn up.

"Ellie is doing okay, thank you." The petite brunette girl smiled to her friend, nodding her head softly. "She has a little bit of a headache due to everyone moaning, but other than that, she's doing well." Ellie smiled to Izzy, before the headmaster's voice was being projected all around the room. She hadn't realized that there was going to be some sort of assembly that day, and she was curious as to what Mr. Marinos could be wanting to talk to everyone about. She was sure it had something to do with the arrival of the Noctrem students, but that couldn't be all - they had been studying there for about a month now. The girl could have focused in solely on her headmaster's voice, however, decided again it. Having to sit in a sea of students would be hard enough for her to get through, without already having the added pressure of a previous headache on top of that.

She was quickly snapped back to the conversation at hand however when Izzy spoke again, asking about going to get something to eat first before the assembly, and if she wanted to hear him play some of his music. The girl eagerly nodded at the second suggestion, smiling at the idea of hearing him play guitar once again. "Oh, I'd like that." She spoke, her grin stupidly spread over her face. "I love hearing you play." The girl's face grew a little red as she spoke, realizing how stupid she had sounded just then. She sounded like a love-sick puppy pining over the man of her dreams, and she quickly laughed it off, changing the subject as rapidly as possible.

"Roommates? Oh yes, I forgot about that." She spoke, her eyes drifing off for a moment as she thought about who she would like her roommate to be. With her constant need to keep things tidy, she hoped that her new roommate would be accommodating to that, keeping their things tidy and what not. If not, she didn't know how she was going to survive. However, before she could dwindle on the subject any more, Leo's voice was coming over the tannoy again, saying that there was now five minutes until the start of the assembly. "Five minutes? How long have we been talking?" Ellie's voice was filled with concern as she slipped on the nearest shoes to the door of her room, not pausing to check what she looked like. "Come on, Izzy." She squealed, taking her friend's hand and pulling him in the direction of the Great Hall. "We can have a quick look at our roommates on the way! Let's go!"

Jackson just grinned as Lulu complimented him, calling him heaven on legs. "Oh, I know." He playfully said back, the Irish accent in his voice coming through thicker and thicker with every passing moment. The coffee was a delight, the male having had a late night before due to his nightmares returning, the high caffeine drink pulling him up out of his slightly tired state. He watched the blonde in front of him carefully, watching her reaction to the coffee that he had gotten her. He wasn't sure if her tastes had changed since the last time that the two of them had been together, but seeing the smile on her face only reassured him that it hadn't - she still liked her coffee the same way as always, and he had gotten it right.

After asking her about drinking too much alcohol, Jack leaned back in his chair, nodding slowly at her reply. Oh, so she hadn't been drinking? It had been a power hangover. "I hope it all works out." He spoke quietly, taking another sip of the hot drink in his hands. He knew that Lulu had the potential to be one of the best students that she could be, her power being extremely dangerous in the wrong hands - but she wasn't one for using it for evil doings. He knew how much she also disliked her power, due to the way that she was exploited as a child, but he couldn't see any harm in her helping Cain Montgomery out - the man had just lost his school. "I reckon it'll work." He smiled softly, putting his cup back down on the table in front of him - it had been beginning to burn his hands.

"Do you know, I have no idea. This is the first that we've heard of it either, so it's all news for us too. We don't have many assemblies either - but it can't be due to just the arrival of you Noctremers." Jackson shrugged his shoulders as he spoke, being as confused as the girl in front of him about why there was going to be an assembly. However, his mind was quickly moved on from that as an idea popped into his head, something that made the male's eyes sparkle with joy. He liked helping people, especially those who were close to him, and Lulu was one of the dearest people in the word to him. "Give me your hand, for a moment." He smiled, holding his palm out on the table for her to take. Once he had her hand in his, Jack closed his eyes, and took in a deep breath. It was a rare sight when the male used his powers, as he didn't like taking in other people's emotions - but with Lulu, he could make an exception. As he focused on the pain that was in her hair, and the tiredness in her body, Jackson felt it moving. He felt the pain slowly being dulled in her mind, and being replaced in hers, as well as the sleepiness that she was feeling.

Within two minutes, Jackson had transferred her pain over to himself, wincing slightly as it came to full fruition in his head. "Jesus, Lu. Maybe you shouldn't push yourself this far again." He groaned, instantly picking up his coffee again. He hadn't noticed that Alli had walked past as he had been transferring Lulu's pain over to himself, being in the "zone" he used his powers, and he felt extremely groggy and too tired to even ask what the note in front of her was. The male's head felt like it was going to explode as the loud voice of Leo took over the tannoys again, and his expression turned into a grimace until the voice had stopped. "Come on, let's get this over with." He forced a smile onto his face, opening his eyes up once more, looking at her. "Allow me to escort you?"

Elijah watched in amusement when he saw how Ben kept his copy of the key. He had attached it into a key cover and a chain, and wound the said chain around his neck. He smiled as he noticed how laid back and somewhat a little funny his roommate was. He was not the most organized person around but Elijah never had the trouble of losing his possessions such as a key or any other items that he had. It had something to do with his slightly... organized personality and so seeing his roommate's plans to keep the key had rather interested him

Maybe he did prejudged this guy more than he thought he had not. After all, while Ben seemed like those typical Noctem stereotypes, he was still accommodating and friendly to him. He was aware of how some of the students from the other academy disliked him. He didn’t know what was the reason but it was most likely was because they see him as one of those persons that would never dare hurt a fly. Not that he actually cared a lot about others opinion, but Elijah had grown used to other’s treatment of him that people like Ben would sometimes never fail to astonish him.

When he learned that Ben only had a duffle bag for his things, he was surprised. He actually expected him to have at least a suitcase for his clothes and other supplies. After all, they were supposed to stay at the school quarters for the whole semester. Aside for some odd visits outside or the usual holidays, it was most likely understandable for him to presume that others would be more 'prepared' with their stay. He could even remember his mother packing a suitable amount of clothes for him when he first got here. Though Elijah he didn’t have a truckload of belongings, ever since he started living at Arcana Academy, he had collected a few numbers of clothes and other things such as books. Most of these books were either contemporary fictions or children's books. Those that he would normally donate to the orphanage or use as story telling material for the children. He had only recently bought these books and he would sometimes read the stories to the little kids.

He wanted to ask Benjamin why he had such a few belongings but the boy had excused himself to check on his phone. Elijah nodded in understanding and waited until his new roommate had finished texting. He opted to search for his own phone when he remembered that it had been hours ago since he last checked his messages. He was still looking forward to meeting Elle and Izzy and he hoped that they would meet before going to the assembly. He took his phone out of his pocket and looked through his recent list of messages. He smiled fondly when he found one from his sister. She had asked him if he has already eaten breakfast like she did and he replied that he would take one later. Aside for another text from his mother, there was nothing else in his Inbox and he promptly locked his phone. It was the typical scenario for Elijah. He was not actually fond of mobile phones or texting. He used it as practically as he could but he was never the type who would waste a day or so, texting someone else. Those who would usually contact him were either his family, some of his classmates or someone from the orphanage. He kept his phone back and turned to Ben in confusion when noticed him do the same. He had thought he would take longer than that.

He then stood perplexed when Benjamin promptly grabbed his bag and evidently walked towards the wrong direction, opposite from their room. 'I thought he wanted to see the room?' He then almost laughed out loud when he immediately walked back soon after. "You know what? Lead the way my good man" His new roommate stated with a perfect British accent. He could actually see things getting livelier and funnier around this guy. He nodded and cast him a small smile. He walked towards the rooms and lead the way, occasionally looking around for any signs of Elle or Izzy. It might be possible that both of them had already gone to the cafeteria. It was time for breakfast and he could actually feel the hunger. It would be rude to leave his roommate alone though, and so he continued walking and accompanied Benjamin all the way to room eight. He was fine with the relative silence between them and he supposed that his companion wouldn’t be bothered with the stillness.

“Do you want to get something from the
” Elijah started asking once they passed the stairs. He trailed off once he noticed a familiar figure standing on the wall next to the door of their room. ‘Isabella Dorson. Bells as what she liked to be called’, the thought quickly crossed his mind when their eyes met. He nodded in acknowledgement, his words dying in this throat, and he abruptly stopped in his tracks. She was actually more known as Izzy’s estranged cousin. Izzy had once told something about her in passing but Elijah actually don’t know a lot about her. Aside from seeing her occasionally at the school grounds, accompanied by her group of friends, he never had the chance to talk to her. Whenever he would find himself near her presence, he would usually get stiff and somewhat conscious... Much more too conscious of his actions, in fact. He didn’t like the strange ideas floating in his mind whenever he was near her.

“Uh
Morning, Bells”, he finally uttered. He decided it would be quite rude of him to disregard her presence. No matter how conflicted he was about her, he would still try to be nice to her and to any other person around. He continued towards the door of their room and fished his own key from his pocket. He opened the lock and stepped to the side. It was during this moment that he heard Mr. Marinos’ voice announcing the start of the assembly. He looked towards Ben and Bells and in his apprehension, stupidly stated the obvious, “I think the assembly’s about to start.”

Eriol was pissed. Beyond without a doubt utterly pissed. It took him several minutes to look for their room and he was half-expecting to see his roommate on the way. He did found their room alright, located not surprisingly in between the rooms eight and twelve but there was no one around. That was just the icing on the cake though. Another thing was that he never remembered who the hell was Landon Hirst among the many students of the idiotic Arcana Academy. It was because of this that he had dared take the chance to find his said roommate in their room and look at how wasted that effort was. 'Where the heck is he?' He thought in irritation and he tried to think of possible places a male student of Arcana would stay so early in this morning. That was considering if Landon was a boy himself, Eriol thought. He was really not sure and he had not one single clue about this guy. With the way how twisted the minds of the human beings worked nowadays, he could not be sure if this Landon was a boy. 'For all I knew, maybe this Landon was a girl who got a such an unlucky manly name', Eriol thought exasperated and a little more than put out by the way he had to drag his bag all around the Academy. Well boy or not, his new roommate was currently missing in action and he was irritated beyond belief. Amidst all of this, Eriol fervently wished that he would not get more annoyed than he was right now.

He let out a sigh and walked back towards the reception. He needed the key as soon as possible. It would be a foolish move for him to go into someplace he was not sure of. Also, uptight Leo had just announced the assembly meeting later in 10. While he was not the golden model student, Eri would rather not get on the bad side of the older headmaster so early in the game. His behaved record for the past month was proof of that. Ben and he agreed, or rather he had asserted and suggested to his best buddy about how they should act like the good student for their initial stay at this academy. He was not afraid of Marinos but he figured that he was still basically a greenhorn here. Being new and all that jazz, he might as well try to create a nice image. After all, what fun would it be, if Leo and his lackeys would treat him as a troublemaker only for their first few months of stay at this shitty academy? Landing himself into a detention was not worth a while and he would rather use this time to plan for greater pranks in the nearest future.

Upon reaching the reception, he looked around and waited until one of the staff on the front desk approach him. He put on his best worried expression while he watched one of those nameless women turn to him. “Good morning! Welcome to Arcana Academy! How can I help you?” She smiled and greeted him in that customary helpful expression. Eriol nodded and looked around, as if seemingly searching for something before he warily smiled back at her. “Hello Ma’am”, he stated with his tone full of respect and kept on his troubled look.

He placed his hands above the counter and looked down. He then slightly raised his head, bit his lower lip and lowered his head back again. He let several minutes pass before he looked up and stared at her for another time. “I.. I need help.” He quietly said, lowering his head. He was certain that the woman needed to move closer in order to hear him but he didn’t care. “Yes, how may I help you?” She impatiently said and gave him a strained smile.

“It’s just that my roommate
. Landon Hirst? Do you know him? He was one of the Arcana students, and I was supposed to be his new roommate
“ the sixteen year old boy trailed off, purposely leaving his words (and his involvement with Noctrem) hanging as he waited for the woman to ask him. The receptionist didn’t fail him and she nodded to let him continue. “This is really embarrassing but he told me that he lost his key.” He looked at her with worried eyes before adding, “He was so afraid of the consequences so he forced me to come here and get a new copy of the key for him. He wanted me to tell you that I lost the key and I had no choice. He had threatened me and since I am still new here, I decided to follow his words. I don’t want to get a blemish on my clean record you see. He was so scary and he told me that if I won’t get a copy of the key here, he would never let me get into the room.” His eyes widened and he dished out word after word. His tone was hurried as if he was uncovering a secret, and his face was a mix of innocence and weariness when he waited for the girl’s response.

He was truly emanating a terrified expression and he succeeded in appearing nervous. He didn’t know if she would believe it but it was this acting that he had used to win over his typical victims. His usual victims of those stupid and narcissistic matrons who looked at everyone down that they deemed lower than they were. The woman was immediately on alert mode and she fully faced him. “What do you mean? Is he harassing you? Do you want me to report him to the headmaster?” Eriol’s eyes widened. “Oh! Oh no! I don’t! Just getting me a key would do”, Eriol piped up, the panic and alarm could be clearly heard in his voice. “Don’t tell Mr. Marinos! I don’t want to be kicked out of my room so early!”

It took him several more minutes of explanation and he let out a relieved sigh when he finally got a copy of the key from the overreacting woman. Honestly, if he only knew how tiresome talking to her would be, he should have gone with his Plan B and stopped time to just grab a key from her drawers. ‘Oh, the things he’d suffer just to execute a prank.’ The only good thing that he got from this exercise was that he was quite sure that whatever record his roommate had, would be tainted by his recent actions. Word was bound to travel all round the campus and he was quite certain that if he could not have the room for himself, he would rather make sure to take necessary steps to drive his roommate out. This was only his first small step to freedom after all.

When he got inside Room ten, he promptly placed his bag towards the empty bed and he took his mobile phone and its charger out. He looked for an empty socket and plugged it in. Another one reason that had caused him irritation was when his phone battery died on him when he was about to make a call. It seemed that he had been too excited last night that he forgot to recharge it. He plopped on the bed and stared at the ceiling. He had to contact Yvette soon. He did not know where she was and while he normally didn’t care what she did, he figured that they should attend the assembly together. It was bound to start soon and he wanted to find her before then.

He didn’t know how long he had fallen asleep but he was awakened to the sound of the old Arcana’s headmaster's voice going over the usual announcements. He cursed, stood up and nursed his head as he tried to comprehend what the old geezer wanted to say. Apparently the assembly was starting in five minutes and they were all required to go into the hall else they risk free periods and detention. He shook his head and chase off all remnants of sleepiness. He went into the bathroom and tried to freshen up. After spending a good two minutes of prepping himself, he unplugged his cell phone and concentrated to activate his ability so that he could reach the great hall within the time allotted.

When he was done, he looked for an empty chair near the exit and opened his phone. Eriol dialed his girlfriend’s number and heard it ring. He waited until the line connected before he spoke. “Hello, Yvette. Where are you?”

“I have to walk to the auditorium. Somehow. Dear lord how,” Lulu thought to herself. The blond nursed her coffee cup between her hands, sliding her thumb along the card collar that prevented her fingers from burning. Feel the texture of it kept her mind momentarily pre-occupied from the nausea and dizziness that plagued her. When Jack spoke, his words felt sharp. She held back the desire to wince as the thudding in her ears escalated.

"Do you know, I have no idea. This is the first that we've heard of it either, so it's all news for us too. We don't have many assemblies either - but it can't be due to just the arrival of you Noctremers," Jackson replied. Lulu snorted at her friend’s sarcasm. The blond knew their new headmaster had put the needs of gifted students alike above all residual grudges held between schools. She had thanked him for that the first day they’d arrived. That said, there was going to be nothing functional or smooth about this transition. With the likes of Cor and her friends in the halls, there would be more bullying, more fights and undoubtedly more drama. Lulu knew that it was no secret that Noctrem harbored students who were both cruel and promiscuous, more the latter than the former. She didn’t doubt that Marinos was concerned about both, if only because lust and relationships often brewed the blowouts and battles that leveled buildings.

Lulu felt her chin tuck and her eyes flutter as her thoughts receded and her head began to spin again. She inhaled sharply, curling her fingers around her cup and in her boots as she fought off the wave of disorientation. Jack, of course, was watching her like a hawk with concern. “I’m fine,” she murmured. “If only this room would stop moving and there weren’t two of Jack in front of me,” Lulu thought but kept quiet.

"Give me your hand, for a moment," He asked her, extending his palm out to her gingerly. Lulu bit on her tongue, knowing full well what he wanted to do. It wasn’t often that he offered and she sure as hell didn’t like the idea of putting Jack through what she was feeling. For her it made sense and was normal, for any stranger it was something else entirely.

Hesitantly she slid her hand out to his palm, watching as her fingers tucked over the back of his hand. She was paler than he was and the whites of her nails were very prominent. Mentally she kicked herself. This was the result of poor diet and sleep of course. This has to change. Starting now.

Lulu exhaled deeply and focused on Jackson’s face as he closed his eyes and began to work his magic. Within a minute the dull ache in her temples had subsided. Her ears popped and she could feel her heart die down and calm. For the first time in close to twelve hours she could pay attention to the noises and people around her without feeling dizzy from trying to follow so much movement. Her shoulders slackened and she felt more aware, if anything awake and rested for the first time in a month.

At two minutes he pulled back and Lulu watched him, feeling but better though concerned. Anyone who didn’t know better would think that Jack had willed away the sick feelings but she knew him well enough to know that he was feeling what she had been just seconds before. "Jesus, Lu. Maybe you shouldn't push yourself this far again," He groaned. “I know,” she replied, watching him sip his coffee with as much need as she had. Her tone was in no way promising either. She'd likely get a lecture when they had more time to speak later. Regardless Lulu mirrored his action and sipped her own coffee, her eyes watching a familiar face walk up behind Jack and close to their table. Lulu watched as Alli deposited a small napkin on their table before taking off into the throngs of Arcana students seeking breakfast. Her eyes slid over it, picking it up in her hand to read it.

Hey. I'm Alli Jackson, your new roommate. I would come over and talk to you, but I can see you're busy. Room Fifteen is beside Rooms Fourteen and Sixteen down the hall and on the right. Maybe see you there after assembly?

Lulu pursed her lips. She had met Alli before in a few classes. The girl was very nice and agreeable, the type of person that she could be friends with. She was far from disappointed with the news of who she would be rooming with, it was more that she feared what Cor might do to the girl or what Alli might face due to associating with her. She could easily get caught in the rift that had opened in the past year between herself and Corentine Quellen and Lulu was not about to see collateral damage happen.

With a sigh, she folded the napkin and slid it into her duffel bag at her feet. Lulu looked back at her friend. He didn’t seem to be handling her power hangover very well, the pallor of his skin having lost two shades in the span of minutes. Startling both of them, Leo’s voice over the school’s PA system prevented Lulu from asking that Jack do himself the favor and give her back the ill feelings. “"All students to the Great Hall please, assembly beings in five minutes. A reminder than any absentees will result in punishment."

He really did sound irritated. Lulu wrinkled her nose and sipped the last bit of her coffee. "Come on, let's get this over with," Jack said. His interruption was welcome as Lulu slid her chair out from their table. A handful of students began exiting the cafeteria, moving in throngs towards the Great Hall. Lulu walked around the table, sliding her duffel over her shoulder. “I doubt he’ll be pulling teeth. And hey, no class just yet in return for sitting and listening and doing nothing? I’m game,” she smiled. Jack smiled back but she could see the difference between now and their greeting.

"Allow me to escort you?" Jack offered. Lulu held her arm out to him, lacing her elbow through his and helping him walk as he had her. “I’ll escort, you direct. You always were an excellent navigator,” she countered.

Getting to the great hall was simple enough, especially with so many students making their way there. Lulu didn’t care that she still had her bag with her. Many people still did and their luggage appeared quite a bit bigger than hers. In many ways, her bag was her backpack. She kept it slung over her shoulder, gripping the strap with her free hand while her other continued to support Jack.

“You really shouldn’t have done what you did,” Lulu commented. A cup of coffee would take the edge off, she didn’t doubt, but it was no cure for six weeks of poor sleep and a power hangover so severe she couldn’t recall the last time it had been this bad.

When they entered the Great Hall, Lulu was struck by the sheer size of it. She allowed Jack to direct where they sat of course and once seated she remained close to her friend, if only to give him an extra shoulder to lean on.

Miss Amy Roerig

"You sure you're healthy?" Leo said, making Amy laugh softly, shaking her head at him. “Don’t even start, Leonardo Marinos.” She scolded good-humoredly, smiling a playful little smile. Honestly she was just happy that she’d lessened his worries a tad. This man was going to end up stressed out by the time these Noctrem kids moved out again, if he didn’t learn not to worry so much. Fortunately, Amy wasn’t the kind of woman who was easily stressed out. Really, she was quite calm most of the time and it had a tendency to affect people, and she was going to do her best to help Leo through this situation, in whichever way she was able. Soon, Amy was removing her silk robe, not able to stop herself from grinning happily at the way Leo was staring in awe and surprise at her now naked form. She wasn’t entirely sure if he was staring because of her action being so new to him, or because he liked what he saw, but she had a feeling that it was a mixture of both. The way his eyes had widened, his lips falling apart
well, she loved it. She’d hoped it’d have such an effect.

When Leo drew Amy into his arms, her entire body melted on the inside, magma replacing every organ as heat welled up inside her, and she looked up at him, her eyes glowing with her body’s reaction to his and she snaked her arms up his neck, laughing when he then commented, the cutest, yet sexiest pout on his face. She was tempted to just give in to the heat in her body and the electricity drawing them closer to each other. Besides, playtime in the shower with her Leo did sound incredibly tempting. But that’s what he was; pure temptation. He drew her with his every word, every movement, every touch, but they truly didn’t have the time for this. She didn’t want Leo to be stressed once they stepped out of the shower because they couldn’t control themselves. He, of all people, simply could not be late for the assembly and he’d absolutely hate it if he was. Rules, discipline and order were things Leo valued quite a bit, and even the fact that he was breaking his own rules to be with her, was a testament to his love for her. So smirking at him, she said, “I’m afraid so, my love,” before taking him with her into the shower.

The young nurse couldn’t stop herself from laughing joyously when Leo got a cold shower for a few seconds there. His expression paired with the yelp was just too hilarious. He looked like a soaked puppy-dog, for god’s sake! The two and a half millenniums old, Spartan warrior, looked like a drenched puppy. It was just too priceless, so Amy, standing there, safely temperate and dry, kept right on laughing. Oh, wasn’t that just typical Leo? Okay, so technically it was her fault, but that only made it more hilarious. “I think you need a bigger shower,” she laughingly choked out. With Leo’s expression changing and the water heating, Amy’s laughter slowly died down to the rare chuckle and she wiped off the odd tear from laughter as he smiled that mischievous smile of his, finally saying something. She flashed an innocent smile his way before stepping into the water with him, her arms moving to wrap around his neck once more, “am I?” she said playfully in feigned thoughtfulness before her smile grew into a grin and she pushed him up against the wall. “Bring it, baby.” She said, her voice full of playful dare. Then her lips finally met his.

After showering, Amy took her time dressing in this, knowing that she and Leo would have to keep up pretenses of not practically living together, as much as that was killing her. As a slight punishment she let Leo watch her put on a quite daring set of lingerie. Maybe that was cruel of her; causing him distractions today of all days, but to be fair, he distracted her all the time, so it wasn’t all that terrible. Besides, Leo could handle it. She hoped. It wasn’t like she’d ever tried this before, considering how they’d only just made love for the first time last night, so she was just going on instinct. She let Leo leave before her, brushing and drying her hair, adding make up then before heading down to the Grand Hall, her heals clicking rhythmically with her steady pace. On her way, Amy heard Leo’s second announcement of the day and smiled to herself, imagining him by his trusty podium stand, worrying over nothing, probably also steeling himself for the amount of detentions he’d be issuing.

She easily slid through the main doors, noting that a couple of students were already seated, and the young teacher smiled up at Leo, knowing he’d notice her, and walked easily up to the chairs arranged for the teachers right behind Leo. She stopped by him to softly add a little, “relax, Leo. Breathe. There’s nothing to worry about.” Then she gave him a soft, caring smile before walking past him to seat herself in one of the teacher-seats. It was hard sometimes, acting the way they had when they’d been ‘just friends’ a week ago, because they were so much closer now, but she dealt. Sort of.

S
Amber Romano

Amber slightly raised an eyebrow as she watched Theo react to her new form. There was a look in his eyes that she was used to seeing. They were filled with panic and fright. Amber could practically see the wheels turning in the young man's head. 'Strange' she thought. 'What would he have to fear?' He didn't have much of a reputation to uphold, so what could Amber do to him? He seemed like a man who liked his privacy, but Amber hadn't picked him out to be one to have secrets.

The fear in his eyes passed, the emotion being replaced by anger. But anger at who? Had Amber said something? Did something? What was going on in his head? The curiousity started to claw at Amber's stomach, but she just sat there in Landon's form, watching Theo silently. Amber's thoughts were racing as she started to think of all the possible secrets the boy in front of her could have. Had he and Landon been secretly dating? Had they shared a bed? Did Landon know something about Theo? Did Theo know something about Landon?

She listened to him speak, a pleasant smile coming to her lips. Amber had spent her whole childhood being trained to improvise lies on a moments notice. She could spot bad acting from a mile away. The feigned embarrassment, the sham puppy eyes.'What an amateur.' There was something going on with Theo and Landon and she had the urge to find out what. 'Calm down Amber.' she thought to herself. 'If you're going to try and work with this boy, you're going to have to earn his trust. Leave it alone. Let the man have his secrets.'

Amber obeyed his request and gave up Landon's guise, shifting back into her original form. Her jaw slighly clenched as his other request hit her. In all her thoughts, she hadn't thought about his suggestion of a dream meeting at first. The thought of the boy having complete control wasn't very appealing to the shapeshifter, but it'd have to do. If she had to prove her trustworthiness to Theo, so be it.

Amber nodded and gave him a polite smile, slightly tilting her head. "Alright. I look forward to meeting with you tonight, Mr. McCaffrey." She slightly chuckled at the use of his last name. It fit him, but at the same time, it didn't, if that made any sense. "I'll be in bed by 9:00." she informed him before taking another bite of her bacon strip. She heard Leo's voice over the intercom and she let out a frustrated sigh, looking at her tray of food. "What a waste." she said simply, slinging her purse over her shoulder and standing up. She took out her phone from her purse, bringing up the picture of the list of rooms and tapping the screen to zoom in.

"Just in case I need to reach you in the waking world." she explained as she read looked for the boy's name. "Room Eighteen." She looked down to Theo, smiling at him. "Oh, you're with Zac. He's just a doll isn't he?" Amber picked up her knife and dropped it into her bag and picked up her food tray. She winked at the boy. "See you tonight." She said sweetly, before strutting off to a trashcan, dumping her untouched food into the garbage.

She smiled as she walked to the Great Hall. She had high expectations for this school. Very high indeed.

Eden Haven

Eden chewed on his lip, trying to put a face to Kali's roommate. "Uhh...Sorry Kali. I have no clue." Adina danced behind him and Mary as they began to follow Kali. "Oh yeah, I'll sit next to you Kali." He took a few steps to follow her and Mckenna. He playfully put his arm around Kali as he walked by her side. Of course, if it was anyone else, Eden wouldn't have dared done anything like that, but it wasn't anyone else. It was Kali, one of his dearest friends.

The two angels smiled as they looked at the two, romantic thoughts obviously running through their heads. Mary walked towards Mckenna with a warm (As warm as a statue could be) smile. "Hello dear." She greeted, her stone features creating a sweet image. She bent over, picking up the picture that fell to her feet. She didn't look at it as she handed it back to the girl. "You dropped this." She stated, smiling as Adina was heard singing to herself in the backround.

"You don't know you're beautiful!" She sang, dancing behind the group. "That's what makes you beautiful!"

(Sorry it's so short! :O)

Sky Byrnes

A soft smile came to Sky's face when he heard Colby say that he'd be sad if he lost either him or Landon. It made Sky think alittle bit and for a moment, he compared their situation to that movie Savages that he'd seen the other day. The main characters had some weird love triangle-sort thing going on. Colby was Blake Lively and Sky and Landon were those two sexy guys that shared her. It was practically the same thing. Well, except that they were all guys. And that it was less serious between all of them. And that him and Landon weren't best friends. And that they weren't being chased by the Mexican Cartel. That reminded Sky that he had to call his aunt later.

Scott walked by the trio and Sky's thoughts went out the window as he looked the hunky teen up and down. He put his lips together and did a cat call for Sky, biting his lower lip and letting out a laugh as Scott grabbed a condom out of the Party Box. He cocked a brow when he heard Colby's strange comment about Scott needing an extra small condom. Was that part of Colby's plan to get Scott to switch teams?

He switched attention back to Scott when he mentioned Sky rooming with Jay. He smiled and nodded to Scott. Sky appreciated that Scott had his back and honestly, he had his too. And if he wanted Sky to cover any other part of his body, the pyro would be willing to make that sacrifice.

Sky wet his lips and yelled after Scott. "If you need anyone to test the flavor of that rubber, I'm your man!" He started laughing again and made his way over to his room's door. "Alright, let's get settled in." He thought aloud, turning the doorknob. Well, he tried to turn the doorknob, but it was locked. "Shit. Fucking Jay." Sky cursed. He resisted the temptation to kick the door down as he turned to the other two boys.

"Well, I guess we can go eat some-" He was cut off by Mr. Marino's voice over the intercom, announcing the assemble was happening in 5 minutes. "Or I guess we can't." He let out a frusturated sigh. "Sorry." He apoligized. His first day at Arcana wasn't off to a great start. He was locked out of his room, his roommate was an asshole, and he was hungry.

He dropped his bag and walked over to Colby, opening the Party Box again and pulling out one of the bottles of tequila. He opened the bottle and took a fast sip, tossing his head back and not even giving the liquid the chance to touch his tougue on it's way down his throat. He wiped his mouth and shook his head. He felt a little more relaxed, but- "Just one more." He said, repeating the process.

He smiled, closing the bottle and putting it pack into the box. "I feeeeel great. Let's got to that assembly gentlemen." The pyro's lips curled into a relaxed smile as he felt the alchohol working it's magic.

Kali shrugged when Eden said “Uhh..Sorry Kali. I have no clue.” “Well I guess I will meet her soon enough, I wonder if she likes to do any reckless things” she smiled when Eden said he would sit next to her. As Eden’s arm went around she smiled, it felt like just a natural thing to Kali and she usually didn’t allow anyone else to do this but Eden was her closes guy friend she had at Arcana, Eden know almost everything about her
except for a lot of her past. No one knew about that though maybe someday she would tell Eden.

She looked behind her to see Mary and Adina, she gave them a smile especially when Adina started singing. Then saw Mary talking to Kenna, she smiled to Kenna then looked forward as she walked on. As they finally made it into the school she heard the announcement from Mr. Marino "All students to the Great Hall please, assembly beings in five minutes. A reminder than any absentees will result in punishment." She looked to Eden “well good timing for us, I wonder why this assembly is so important. I guess it could be about the Noctrem students, most likely because of them but they have been here like a month already and we have not had an assembly since they been here. Now thinking about it we haven’t had an assembly in a long time” she said as they walked to the great hall where the assembly was being held. She looked down at the clothes she was wearing, it was her running outfit and she didn’t have time to change before hand but she really didn’t care. She knew probably all the Noctrem students where dressed nicely in one way or another but it didn’t matter to her.

As she walked with Eden into the hall she tried to look for L but didn’t see her “I wonder where L is hiding
” she said as she looked around to see who else was there. She saw Izzy and Ellie over to the side and wave to the two of them “hey guys” she then moved her way down the walkway and moved in to one of the rows of seats now taking Eden’s hands in hers to pull him along the seats. Once she was in the middle of the row she sat down and looked up to Eden and smiled. She then looked to the front and saw Mr. Marinos and Ms. Roerig. She hasn’t had to go to Ms. Roerig in like a week, which is a record for her, she just hasn’t gotten into anything that would get herself ‘extremely’ hurt. She leaned back against the seat comfortably and started randomly playing with some of her hair as she sat there.

Lora couldn't help the goofy grin that had painted itself to her lips. She was always so carefree when she was around Drake. Maybe it was because she always felt so...free. She could be sarcastic and snarky, and he would just shoot it all right back at her. He was a challenge, and, well, Lora had always had a competitive side. He made her laugh harder than most people and...maybe it was because he was the one familiar thing she had here. He was sort of a piece of her past and a part of her was holding on to that. "Oh I'm sure you'd survive. Besides, I'd be the one he'd make repaint the 'damages' anyways." With a casual roll of her eyes, she walked along with him, nudging him with her shoulder. "You're a big boy. You'll be fine."

"And here I thought I was special." She put on a pout, but it didnt last long because she couldnt help but just smile. "Dont worry...I'll try my very best to be a good girl. I promise." She spoke with an innocent look in her eyes, though, it wasn't hard to see that Lora was far from innocent. It was obvious just in the way she held herself, the look in her eyes...she was no child.

When Drake made the crack about her magnifying glass, she almost giggled, but it came out as a mere laugh. "I know. I've brought shame to myself and my family." She hung her head for a moment before peering up at him through her dark lashes. "Forgive me?"

"Oh you just watch. One day I will be taller than you. It'll happen. You'll see." She looked determined as she stood up on her toes. Even Lora knew that there was no way on earth that she would ever surpass Drake's height. She was just...small. Not small enough to be considered short, but she was still small. Not that the view was particularly bad from where she was standing.

"Well, the place will certainly liven up with all the new students living here, that's for sure. Leo will definitely have his hands full." She nodded with a simple shrug of her shoulders. Now Lora didn't doubt that there would be trouble, and lots of it, but she'd be lying if she said she wasn't almost looking forward to it. Who knows? It might turn out to be fun. Looking up at Drake, Lora could swear she saw care, and worry, flash in his eyes, but happened too quickly to be certain. Giving him a hopefully reassuring smile, she sighed. "Fine. If it makes you happy, I'll keep my distance."

Writing for Jade soon. Promise. And, really sorry this one's a bit short. I've got a lot to do.

Bells was leaning against the wall waiting very impatiently when finally she saw Ben and
ugh Elijah. She saw Elijah nod to her and saw that he stopped a little ways from her. She couldn’t help but smirk, she noticed him watching her and finally the boy stammered out some words “Uh..Morning, Bells” . She stood up more straightly and walked over to him “Morning Elijah” was all she said to him then looked to Benz. “You said you would be up here and I have been waiting
.” she then saw Benz walk over to her and put his arm around her shoulder. She was annoyed a little bit but she would let it slide because she was in a good mood from being able to talk to Ms. Wright this morning.

“Hey Bells, sorry for making you wait. I guess you just miss me too much,” Bells rolled her eyes at what Benz said “your lucky I like you..or I would have left by now” she then heard the Mr.Marino’s announcement over the intercom "All students to the Great Hall please, assembly beings in five minutes. A reminder than any absentees will result in punishment." “Oh so scared a punishment
so scared” she sort of mocked the announcement then looked to Benz, she first heard Elijah say something but sort of ignored it. “I guess we should go” she nodded “yes lets go get this over with, I hope it won’t be too long” she then got lost in thoughts about her conversation with Ms. Wright earlier when she got snapped out of it from Benz say “You coming or not slowpokes” she sighed and walked up to Benz “of course I am coming, lets go” she said as she started walking off “oh the reason why we aren’t skipping is because well I got talking to Ms. Wright
and yea..” She hasn’t told anyone about her feelings for Ms. Wright and wasn’t sure if she was going to tell anyone
just yet. She especially didn’t want Amber to find out, the girl already knew one of her secrets that she really didn’t want anyone to find out so Bells made and agreement with Amber and they have been good since.

As she was walking downstairs she wasn’t even sure if Benz or Elijah was with her, she knew Benz would catch up and she really didn’t care for Elijah especially since he was best friends with Izzy, yes he might be cute but Elijah’s personality just wasn’t her type. As she did make it to the great hall, she didn’t understand why it was called a great hall. What so great about a room that is pretty much for assemblys? She walked through the doors and right off she saw Izzy and Ellie. She didn’t say anything to them, she found a seat in the back row and sat down putting her feet up on the seat in front over her and leaned her head back, maybe she could fall asleep during the assembly. She did tell Ms. Wright she be there but she didn’t say anything about being coherent.

As the Mr Marino's voice rang through the halls of the school, basically telling the students they five minutes until the assembly or else, Jess gave a small smile. Like anyone from her school was going to be at all phased if he slapped them with a detention, or punishment of any kind; there would probably be a group of them that would have a party in the detention room or something. As she watched the corridor slowly fill up with students, the brunette rolled her eyes. She couldn't believe that Mickey was late, if she wasn't careful, she was sure that they were all going to miss the assembly. No matter, detention parties were fun.

Suddenly, Jess found herself being attacked by a random pair of arms, causing her to squeal loudly. She turned to see her best friend grinning at her like a Cheshire Cat. 'Jesus Christ woman, I thought I was being taken away!' She cried, a smile etching her face. 'I've missed you too' She gushed, hugging Mickey tightly. She gave a small smile to the small huddle of people that Mickey had dragged with her. Jess suspected this had been the case, Mickey was never one to take no for answer.

'I'm actually in a pretty good today actually, rooming with Morgan, she's slightly less insane than you.. but only very slightly.' Jess told Mickey, giving a small smile as she remembered Mo basically jumping down her throat about her crushes. Poor girl, Jess was never one to disclose much, particularly those she didn't really know. The brunette wasn't even sure if Mickey knew about her crushes and they had become close extremely quickly. Truth be told, it did scare Jess how close the girl had become in so little a time. Mickey had seen how bad her mood swings could get, but she just...didn't want to hurt Mickey. She'd done enough of that for a life time.'How are you, my dear?' She asked the brunette next to her as they walked in the assembly hall.

Mickey had dragged the entire group to one of the middle rows in the great hall. Jess noticed Mr Marino's standing at the front, preparing to address both sets of students. Poor man. He looked smart and professional as always, but Jess couldn't thinking he was a little naive. Did he honestly think this would work? What's more he'd mixed the room. This wasn't a problem as far as she was concerned, she didn't mind Mo, not in the slightest. It was the others she was concerned about. She'd noticed that Jay and Skye were put in the same room when she'd looked down the list. There was defiantly going to blood when it came to that room pairing, Jess could tell that from the start. Jess looked back at Mr Marino's, she felt a small sense of pity. This man really did not know what had hit him.

She turned her attention back to Mickey, who was putting something into her bag. She nearly asked her best friend what it was until she noticed that the girl had gone very quiet and was tapping her leg on the ground. Jess had known Mickey long enough to know that this was one of her nervous gestures. 'Hey, it's going to be alright, they won't hurt you. As long as you stick with me.' She told her best friend, taking the girls hand in hers and giving her a small smile. She knew she couldn't do much, but she would protect her friends, above all else.
