She's very amiable and finds it easy to approach others, though because she is a Hybrid, she is wary around most humans. She's your typical sweetheart, often throwing people off because her type of sweet is a rare thing these days. She would offer a total stranger her jacket if they were cold or perhaps a slice of pie if they seemed sad. Once a person has earned the right to be called her friend, they aren't just a witness to her outgoing and whimsical mannerisms, but they become involved and she's more open. She's a great leader and is quick to take charge when things get hectic, able to keep a level head when shit gets real. Her likable personality and amount of training makes it easier to give commands because people are less liable to argue with her.

She is an apex predator, a Hybrid. She is the crocodile in murky waters and her prey is the unsuspecting deer trying to cross. She's smart – She and has been trained to leave no traces of her presence and Rose has very well in that. She will often compare herself to Dexter -- a favorite show of hers and a bit of inspiration. History
Life was a bit more than just hard for Rosetta as she grew up. It was clear from the moment she was born that it would take a long while before things would get easier for her. She was taken from her mother by her father before she could even remember her, both of them young. Her mother was a New Orleans native and her father was just passing through town for a while. When she was still a baby, she accidentally bumped into a dresser. A candle fell and the house was set ablaze. Her father was able to rescue her, but unable to save the nanny inside. Gregorio didn't think that it would count as Rosetta's first kill, but he found out how wrong he was when he returned from his full moon run to find his one year old daughter naked, covered in blood, and her new nanny torn to shreds.
He feared how hard life would be for her, unable to teach this infant how to transition. Because she was so young, the mindlessness that came with Transition was far worse than anything anyone had ever seen. Her father and other members of the Catalonia Wolf Clan strained to control her as she aged, the years seeming to drag by so slowly. But because she was so young, they were unsure of how developed her healing abilities were and were extremely reluctant to physically punish her, knowing that it would likely do zero good at all and might hurt her more than they truly mean to. She really did give true meaning to the phrase “it takes a village”.
Unfortunately for her and her father, they would soon no longer have that village.
Unable to control herself, she had nearly exposed the Pack at least a dozen times or more by the time she was eight years old. She had begun to be able to understand what she was and how to deal with it by the time she was four, but she was still young and not completely in control. Seeing her as a danger to the Pack, many banded together and forced Gregorio out. He retreated to Tossa de Mar. He grew stricter with her, stressing how much she needed to be able to control herself or else she'd put the entire Werewolf community in danger. He yielded results much better than he had hoped for and she was soon the first known Werewolf to be able to control herself. Post-Transformation. Unlike other Werewolves, she was not mindless during her transformation. She kept her own mind and was not forced to succumb to the mind of the Wolf, though her anger was still there. She just did her best to keep it in check. Unfortunately, her father didn't live long to fully enjoy the fruits of his labor. Out one night with some old friends, he got into a fight and found himself left dead in an alley after getting drunk and saying all the wrong things.
When her father never came home, she went out to investigate. The police found her on the side of the road and took her to her grandmother's house, sitting her down and explaining what happened, though they assumed that his heart had been carved out for a local satanic cult. The cult was more than happy to take credit to boost their reputation as “hardcore”. Her grandmother gained custody of her and she moved back into Barcelona, now able to control herself. The Pack welcomed her and some even apologized for sending her and her father away, though the ten year old understood very well why they did and held no grudge against them. Her time with the Pack was short-lived, as they found themselves on the wrong side of Elijah Mikaelson soon enough when they began hunting Barcelona Vampires for sport. However, unlike the others, Rosetta was spared. She still remembers to this day the look of confusion in his eyes when he found her injured and shifted back into a human after he had broken her arm. He hadn't known she was a child, assuming that she was just the runt of the litter. Refusing to kill a child, and believing her when she said that she didn't bother Vampires, he knew he couldn't leave her alone.
He seemed intrigued by the mark on her hip but she wouldn't tell him much about it, never really thinking of it as anything but a cool birthmark. He left it at that and allowed the girl to live, her grandmother as well. After healing them, he assured them that he'd be keeping tabs on them before leaving. The twelve year old took care of her grandmother as best as she could while the two assimilated into human culture. Her grandmother hired private tutors and enrolled her in a number of classes to ensure that she was well educated before the young girl set off with dreams of traveling. She learned several languages and embraced a variety of cultures before attending Downing College Cambridge at the age of sixteen where she majored in Education. At the age of twenty, she left Barcelona and Cambridge behind and explored the world to meet new Werewolves and discover what could be offered, left a very hefty sum of money from her father and grandmother's wills. She had a son amidst her travels after a one night stand during a trip to Hawaii to hang with the Kamehameha Wolf Clan, not bothering to get to know the father because she could tell already that she wouldn't like him while she was sober.
She had seen Elijah from time to time when he would come to see about her, though she didn't really know why. As far as she was concerned, it was weird that he would continually check up on her now that she was an educated adult and a mother. She found out soon enough when he invited her to dinner in New Orleans eighteen years ago. When she arrived, he asked her if she knew who the Crescent Wolf Clan was and she said she knew only that her father said her mother's surname name was Labonair and that her mother was was already married when they had their tryst. The name of the Wolf Clan wasn't something Gregorio often spoke of. She didn't know what her mother looked like, only that her name was Charlotte-Marie Labonair. She knew who the Originals were so she did her very best not to piss them off when she was welcomed into their home. However, she did manage to lose her temper when Klaus made the mistake of treating her like some prized poodle when they discovered her ability to nearly completely control herself in her wolf form. Eventually, they sat her down and told her about her heritage after they had found out themselves exactly who her mother was. Charlotte-Marie Labonair was the mother of Andrea Labonair, more commonly known as Hayley Marshall. Hayley was delighted to find out that she had an older sister and a nephew.
It just so happened that while Gregorio was exploring New Orleans, he was just like his daughter: Out to explore the world and meet new Werewolves. He happened across Charlotte and they ended up having sex a few times. When he found out that she was pregnant, he was excited but she was scared. She considered having an abortion to avoid her husband's ire but Gregorio wouldn't allow it. Instead, he went to Charlotte's husband behind her back and explained that he didn't know she was spoken for. He promised that he would leave New Orleans and never come back so long as she would have the baby and give the child to him to take back to Barcelona, giving him his word as Alpha of the Barcelona Pack. The two men agreed and Charlotte begrudgingly had the child. Gregorio kept his word, taking his child and disappearing, never to return again.
Hayley and Rosetta clicked immediately and it was almost as though they'd known each other their entire lives. Hayley caught Rose up to speed on her current situation and asked her to stay. Klaus was against it at first, in a deep state of paranoia -- especially since the recent events -- but Elijah and Hayley vouched for her. She and her son lived at the compound, helping Hayley work through her anger and depression by doing their best to give her some semblance of a normal life. Hope finally returned at the age of six months and Rose was delighted to meet her young niece. By this time she had proved herself and grown quite close to Klaus. The moment she held Hope in her arms, the older sister swore on her oath as a Wolf that she'd protect her niece. Klaus approved, though he insisted that Rosetta become a Hybrid just to “boost your strength and increase your odds, Bitty love” as he wanted to spare no expense in the protection of his child. Though Hayley advised against it, Rosetta accepted Klaus' offer after Hayley made her swear that she'd work to break the Sire Bond right after. Rosetta wanted to no longer be a slave to the moon, figuring that it'd come in handy when dealing with the rest of her life. Besides – Immortality and everything else that the Hybrid package came with was just too much to pass up. After Hope sired her she lied about breaking the bond. Since Hope could give no orders, there was nothing that could give her away and they assumed she hadn't lied. However, they found out the truth eventually and Rose learned the hard way how dangerous the bond could be.
She constantly did some humiliating things and spoiled her niece. It was assumed that it was just because she was being a doting and silly aunt willing to do anything to make her niece happy. Hope was eight when a friend was having a birthday sleepover and had invited her to join them. Unfortunately, people wanted Hope dead – As usual – and she was under lockdown. Knowing she could get her way with her aunt, she told Rose to sneak her out and take her to the slumber party. Rose complied and lied, saying that she was taking Hope to a secret cabin in the bayou. Later, at the party, Witches arrived and began to kill everyone there. Were it not for Elijah having suspected that Rose was lying from her Sire Bond, arriving with Werewolves, Rose is unsure if she and Hope would have made it out alive. Afterward, the grief she felt and the threats from Klaus made her spend three days in isolation to break the Sire Bond.
During that time and up until now, she and her son have always been very close to her sister and niece as well as the Mikaelson family, though she was always jealous of Hayley's relationship with Elijah. But because she was so young, they were unsure of how developed her healing abilities were and were extremely reluctant to physically punish her, knowing that it would likely do zero good at all and might hurt her more than they truly mean to. She really did give true meaning to the phrase “it takes a village”.
Unfortunately for her and her father, they would soon no longer have that village.
Unable to control herself, she had nearly exposed the Pack at least a dozen times or more by the time she was eight years old. She had begun to be able to understand what she was and how to deal with it by the time she was four, but she was still young and not completely in control. Seeing her as a danger to the Pack, many banded together and forced Gregorio out. He retreated to Tossa de Mar. He grew stricter with her, stressing how much she needed to be able to control herself or else she'd put the entire Werewolf community in danger. He yielded results much better than he had hoped for and she was soon the first known Werewolf to be able to control herself. Post-Transformation. Unlike other Werewolves, she was not mindless during her transformation. She kept her own mind and was not forced to succumb to the mind of the Wolf, though her anger was still there. She just did her best to keep it in check. Unfortunately, her father didn't live long to fully enjoy the fruits of his labor. Out one night with some old friends, he got into a fight and found himself left dead in an alley after getting drunk and saying all the wrong things.
When her father never came home, she went out to investigate. The police found her on the side of the road and took her to her grandmother's house, sitting her down and explaining what happened, though they assumed that his heart had been carved out for a local satanic cult. The cult was more than happy to take credit to boost their reputation as “hardcore”. Her grandmother gained custody of her and she moved back into Barcelona, now able to control herself. The Pack welcomed her and some even apologized for sending her and her father away, though the ten year old understood very well why they did and held no grudge against them. Her time with the Pack was short-lived, as they found themselves on the wrong side of Elijah Mikaelson soon enough when they began hunting Barcelona Vampires for sport. However, unlike the others, Rosetta was spared. She still remembers to this day the look of confusion in his eyes when he found her injured and shifted back into a human after he had broken her arm. He hadn't known she was a child, assuming that she was just the runt of the litter. Refusing to kill a child, and believing her when she said that she didn't bother Vampires, he knew he couldn't leave her alone.
He seemed intrigued by the mark on her hip but she wouldn't tell him much about it, never really thinking of it as anything but a cool birthmark. He left it at that and allowed the girl to live, her grandmother as well. After healing them, he assured them that he'd be keeping tabs on them before leaving. The twelve year old took care of her grandmother as best as she could while the two assimilated into human culture. Her grandmother hired private tutors and enrolled her in a number of classes to ensure that she was well educated before the young girl set off with dreams of traveling. She learned several languages and embraced a variety of cultures before attending Downing College Cambridge at the age of sixteen where she majored in Education. At the age of twenty, she left Barcelona and Cambridge behind and explored the world to meet new Werewolves and discover what could be offered, left a very hefty sum of money from her father and grandmother's wills. She had a son amidst her travels after a one night stand during a trip to Hawaii to hang with the Kamehameha Wolf Clan, not bothering to get to know the father because she could tell already that she wouldn't like him while she was sober.
She had seen Elijah from time to time when he would come to see about her, though she didn't really know why. As far as she was concerned, it was weird that he would continually check up on her now that she was an educated adult and a mother. She found out soon enough when he invited her to dinner in New Orleans eighteen years ago. When she arrived, he asked her if she knew who the Crescent Wolf Clan was and she said she knew only that her father said her mother's surname name was Labonair and that her mother was was already married when they had their tryst. The name of the Wolf Clan wasn't something Gregorio often spoke of. She didn't know what her mother looked like, only that her name was Charlotte-Marie Labonair. She knew who the Originals were so she did her very best not to piss them off when she was welcomed into their home. However, she did manage to lose her temper when Klaus made the mistake of treating her like some prized poodle when they discovered her ability to nearly completely control herself in her wolf form. Eventually, they sat her down and told her about her heritage after they had found out themselves exactly who her mother was. He happened across Charlotte and they ended up having sex a few times. When he found out that she was pregnant, he was excited but she was scared. She considered having an abortion to avoid her husband's ire but Gregorio wouldn't allow it. Instead, he went to Charlotte's husband behind her back and explained that he didn't know she was spoken for. He promised that he would leave New Orleans and never come back so long as she would have the baby and give the child to him to take back to Barcelona, giving him his word as Alpha of the Barcelona Pack. The two men agreed and Charlotte begrudgingly had the child. Gregorio kept his word, taking his child and disappearing, never to return again.
Hayley and Rosetta clicked immediately and it was almost as though they'd known each other their entire lives. Hayley caught Rose up to speed on her current situation and asked her to stay. Klaus was against it at first, in a deep state of paranoia -- especially since the recent events -- but Elijah and Hayley vouched for her. She and her son lived at the compound, helping Hayley work through her anger and depression by doing their best to give her some semblance of a normal life. Hope finally returned at the age of six months and Rose was delighted to meet her young niece. By this time she had proved herself and grown quite close to Klaus. The moment she held Hope in her arms, the older sister swore on her oath as a Wolf that she'd protect her niece. Klaus approved, though he insisted that Rosetta become a Hybrid just to “boost your strength and increase your odds, Bitty love” as he wanted to spare no expense in the protection of his child. Though Hayley advised against it, Rosetta accepted Klaus' offer after Hayley made her swear that she'd work to break the Sire Bond right after. Rosetta wanted to no longer be a slave to the moon, figuring that it'd come in handy when dealing with the rest of her life. Besides – Immortality and everything else that the Hybrid package came with was just too much to pass up. After Hope sired her she lied about breaking the bond. Since Hope could give no orders, there was nothing that could give her away and they assumed she hadn't lied. However, they found out the truth eventually and Rose learned the hard way how dangerous the bond could be.
She constantly did some humiliating things and spoiled her niece. It was assumed that it was just because she was being a doting and silly aunt willing to do anything to make her niece happy. Hope was eight when a friend was having a birthday sleepover and had invited her to join them. Unfortunately, people wanted Hope dead – As usual – and she was under lockdown. Knowing she could get her way with her aunt, she told Rose to sneak her out and take her to the slumber party. Rose complied and lied, saying that she was taking Hope to a secret cabin in the bayou. Later, at the party, Witches arrived and began to kill everyone there. Were it not for Elijah having suspected that Rose was lying from her Sire Bond, arriving with Werewolves, Rose is unsure if she and Hope would have made it out alive. Afterward, the grief she felt and the threats from Klaus made her spend three days in isolation to break the Sire Bond.
