EYES | Tanith's eyes are a rather shocking shade of brown, so much so that - under certain lights - they can appear amber or even red.

HAIR | Having been allowed to grow down to her rear, Tanith's hair is often tucked away inside of her hooded jacket. When not wearing the jumper, it is commonly tied back in a pony tail (with a fringe to cover her entire forehead and right eye, and to frame her face). With regards to colour, it most resembles a pale olive green, but - much like her eyes - can change in shade depending on the lighting.

COMPLEXION | Pale.

BODY BUILD | It is hard to judge Tanith's figure because, more often than not, she's wearing clothes that don't flatter it at all. However, it is quite obvious that she's quite skinny based on the occasional visibility of her arms and leg(s). In truth, behind all the layers, Tanith has a toned body and she takes pride in it, but is too self-conscious to display it confidently.

DISTINCT MARKINGS | She's not permitted to tattoo her body, though she wants to. As for scars, she doesn't have many, but for the occasional deep cat scratch.

PIERCINGS/ACCESSORIES | She doesn't really have any skin that shows enough for her to feel the need to accessorise. Her jacket pulls up to her chin (concealing her neck), her baggy sleeves cover her wrists, and she has her hood pulled up more often than not so there's no need for her to wear a hat. With regards to piercings, she had one in her right eyebrow, but she took it out and - thank the heavens - her fringe hides the holes.

CLOTHING | Tanith has a rather peculiar taste in clothing. She wears a red jacket with a high-neck collar and a zip running from bottom to top; over the top of this is a purple-grey hoody with an iPod design on the front. This is her usual attire and the one she's seen in the most. She practically lives in it. The only thing she'll change regularly are her jeans, which are black and baggy. The left leg is often rolled up to just below the knee (though sometimes both will be rolled up). She only owns one pair of trainers; a pair of light green Converse. She's not allowed to wear them to school, although she would if she could. She's not a rebel by nature so it is not in her desire to bring any out-of-school clothing aspects into her usual/assigned uniform.

UNIFORM | Tanith wears her uniform exactly how she is told to, as dictated by the school rules. The only rule she does not follow is the difference between regular and winter uniforms. During the warmer seasons, students are told not to bring their jackets and blazers; if they do, it must be the assigned brown-grey button-ups which are given to each student at the beginning of the year (or as they need them), but Tanith is instead seen wearing her red jacket. In some cases, she'll even wear her purple-grey hoodie over the top. She gives the excuse that - due to her lack of muscle and weight - she gets cold easily and needs the extra layers.

________Reserved | Passive | Quiet | Socially Inept
▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂
More often than not, Tanith keeps to herself. It's one of the sole reasons why she's labelled as a 'loner', as she prefers silence over the company of others. This is down to a general intolerance towards her peers; she considers herself more mature than them, and so she is unwilling to direct her focus to someone else unless they're truly deserving of her time. This was not always so, as she once craved to share the company of other students, but after being rejected too many times she has come to the realisation that she's better off without them all.

Constantly walking around with a blank stare and an uninterested attitude, it is incredibly rare that you'll gain anything other than passivity when approaching the lonely teen. She looks like she's always bored, and has the overall image of someone who is either heavily fatigued or sick to death of everything around them. It's almost unheard of that someone could elicit reaction other than silence and staring; she does not get excited, she does not get angry, and while you would think she does not get upset, it's quiet the opposite. She just hides it unimaginably well.

When approached, Tanith will more often than not just stay quiet. She's not shy at all, and certainly not lacking in confidence. She's the sort of person who finds it such a bother to actually form sentences and keep up with conversations that she rarely ever makes the attempt. So it's really not difficult to believe that nobody bothers to strike a conversation with her; she probably won't respond outright, and if on the rare occasion that she has the urge to speak, she does so in short, blunt sentences.

All of these trait combined give Tanith the general outward image of someone who is socially inept, but there is a whole other reason as to why she has gained said image. The other reason is that, behind all the coldness and passivity, Tanith has a whole bunch of weird crap circling around her mind. She's a bit of a kook, truth be told, and this is the main reason she settled into her loner status. Not many people understood her, if any. She was highly imaginative, and this combined with her strange behaviour, abnormal thought processes and bizarre speech patterns meant she simply didn't fit in. So she put up a wall, and wandered off on her own.

LIKES
▷ Technology.
▷ Internet.
▷ Music.

DISLIKES
▷ Outside.
▷ Bullies.
▷ Shyness.

HABITS
▷ Chewing dead skin off her lip.
▷ Walking away mid-conversation.
▷ Refusing to look at or speak to people.

HOBBIES
▷ Climbing on... pretty much anything/everything (and free-running).
▷ Observing people from a distance.
▷ Collecting her thoughts/actions into a diary.

STRENGTHS
▷ Climbing and free-running requires a lot of strength; she also needs to be able to move quickly and trust her body to know what to do.
▷ Surprisingly enough, despite her inability to actually speak clearly and fluently, she writes incredibly well.
▷ She's a pretty decent artist, often accompanying diary entries with small doodles of some description.

FLAWS
▷ Social ineptitude. It's pretty self-explanatory.
▷ Her naturally blunt manner of speaking and her unpleasant demeanour mean that she ends up making more enemies than friends.
▷ She has misophonia (look it up), and becomes enraged as a result.

Despite everything, Tanith was a decently happy child. Her parents weren't the wealthiest, but they did well enough that Tanith could live a comfy lifestyle. Being as strangely mature as she was at that time, she grew to appreciate their efforts, regardless of the fact that they never really understood her in the first place. She was at the age where nothing about people's opinions seemed to phase her; she laughed when she wanted to, and tried to find entertainment wherever possible. She was aware that, in some way, she was always different from the other children (even if it was subtle to begin with), but this only really became a problem when she got a little older and the children around her stopped finding her anecdotes and silly behaviour all that interesting. They became more judgemental, while she hadn't changed a bit. Not truly. That was until she reached the time when she should have gone to Middle school, but she was pulled out by her parents.

Instead of being in Middle school for four years like her peers, Tanith's parents decided she would get along better in a more controlled environment, where she wouldn't be mocked constantly by her peers for many reasons. She pressed the issue on and on, until one day her father snapped at her, saying she wasn't right in the head and didn't fit in with normal people. Her mother tried to calm the situation, but no words could describe how hard it hit her to hear that from her own father, and after a while of doubting whether or not he truly meant it, she stopped caring. She was beginning to believe that her parents were right to pull her out of school, and that's when she settled into her quiet, uncaring persona. Seeing this, her parents made the assumption that she was fit for school again.

Tanith re-joined her peers in high school, much to their surprise. By this point there were rumours that maybe she'd been sent away because she was crazy, and though they circled her on a daily basis, Tanith didn't pay them much mind. If they wanted to believe such things, she'd leave them to their ignorance. She didn't think she had to explain herself to them, and it was at this point that she began to develop something of a dislike towards them, though she never acted on it. She rarely acted on anything, but in high school the students around were a little more open-minded. They didn't accept her regardless, but they weren't cruel. Not at all of them, anyway.

The recent events, with the death of a student in the year below her, have peaked her interest in a lot of ways, but not quite enough to bring her out of hiding. She still thinks the clique leaders and their followers are beyond ridiculous.

T E S S__O ' C A L L A G H A N

It had been seven days since the funeral. Fourteen days since the incident. Another page ripped from the tear-away calendar indicated this.

Despite the fact that he lived on school property, Tess had neglected to attend classes for the duration of that entire fortnight period. The school weren't as persistent as they should've been, with his loss having a major affect on his concentration and overall health. They were content to just leave him to it, until Sunday morning, when a notice was posted through his door. It stated that if he didn't attend his classes soon, he risked lowering his attendance below the requirements for free accommodation. Tess - in his current state - would've given anything not to have to move back in with his family, who held little love for himself or his brother. Most of them had refused to attend the funeral, others probably weren't even aware of what happened. The thought in itself made him sick, whenever his mind wandered to such things.

As he pulled the tie tighter around his neck, Tess gave an exasperated sigh, almost as if he would have given anything in that moment to just... deflate. His eyes, hollow as they were, settled on the pair staring back at them, before shifting downwards to allow him to check his uniform. It was perfectly dishevelled, as per usual, and strangely comforting. It was almost like a sense of familiarity had washed over him, and - despite everything - he found himself smiling. It faded as quickly as it had appeared, and soon enough he was walking towards the door.

He hadn't bothered to tell anyone that he'd be returning that day. In fact, it would be the first time he'd seen anybody since the day he found out. He had instinctively shut himself away in his apartment, and over the course of two weeks, he'd refused any and all visitors. Part of him was looking forward to seeing everyone again, namely his two closest friends, but another decidedly overwhelming part was worried half to death that he'd lost the respect of his clique. He was their leader, yet he had opted to abandon them in their time of loss. It had affected him the most, there was no doubt about it, but Theo was close to everyone, and everyone had lost him. As Tess thought about this, he began absentmindedly cracking his knuckles, his eyes focused more on the path ahead. He was not the only one leaving the accommodations so early, and he'd prefer not to bump into anyone and everyone ahead of him.

The building for housing was directly beside the school, so much so that you could see in people's bedrooms from the classrooms, but there was a long path up from the gate to the doors, and so it took him a fair few minutes to make it all the way there. He stalled for a moment outside of the building, silently debating whether to wait there for one of his own or to head straight to the second floor, where his classroom was. He opted for the latter, considering he didn't trust himself not to lunge at the nearest clique leader, of which there were few. So he continued walking, keeping his head down. A few of his own Outcasts had approached him, but Tess kept the conversation brief and - strangely enough - polite, before moving on. It took him a total of twenty minutes to reach the classroom door, where he was the first to have arrived.

Running his hand through his hair, Tess gave a huff and leaned against the opposite wall.
