~---~---~Personality~---~---~
Personality:
Melody is a thinker. She likes spending time learning, and is always up for new facts, regardless of what they are. She's relatively reserved, she prefers her own company of the company of a few close friends. She values intelligence, and as such she enjoys intellectual conversation over small talk or gossip, and will usually remove herself from conversations she isn't interested in. Sometimes she can be a little blunt, only because she doesn't think much of how other people emote differently than her. She is very self assured, which sometimes gets her into trouble when she ends up over her head, especially in more social situations. She can sometimes he awkward, especially if something unexpected happens and she doesn't know how to proceed. She is very analytical, and isn't afraid to point out problems, sometimes at the cost of other people's feelings. It frustrates her when something is not perfect, and she works very hard for success and perfection. People who don't seem to value perfection or intellectual success confuse her. Overall, Melody is rather quiet, interested in learning and talking to like minded peers, but she can be blunt and appear heartless when she's just trying to help.

~---~---~History~---~---~
Melody comes from a family of four, her mother is a nurse and her father was in the military, discharged on disability when she was seven. Her younger sister by four years was a bit of a free spirit, and Melody believed that, since her mother wasn't home often and, before he was wounded in action her father wasn't home at all, it was her job to keep things in line when the babysitters weren't capable of doing more than sitting on the couch and watch tv or talk to their boyfriends. Melody decided that justice had to be done, so she would purposely case trouble to have the sitter fired. After her father was wounded, he spent all of his time at home. He was relatively strict, and expected both of his children to have good grades in school. Melody was more than happy to rise to the occasion. She worked hard, and was rewarded with her father's pride. They often talked, their topics ranging from science to history to art, until Melody could answer her own questions through research. She pushed herself hard through school, taking only the most advanced classes. She only had two friends, but she was perfectly happy, since those two understood her and weren't mad when she didn't feel like talking, and sometimes pushed her to try new things. Her younger sister, however, was a pain in Melody's eyes. She barely scraped through school, and since graduating (She was valedictorian of her class) , Melody decided that her sister needed all the help she could get if she wanted to go to college, which meant that Melody needed to go out on her own and find her own money, which meant working for a few years before going to college. That's why she moved to NYC, in hopes of getting a job that wasn't in retail or food services.
