An officer who frequents the cafe.
Likes: Working on his house as well as working his job, seeing and spending time with Hannah (his daughter), His guitar, Elaine's Cafe, Idle conversations at the department, Autumn, The scent of rain.
Dislikes: Having nothing to do, Fighting with Kayla (His ex-wife), Tension at the department, Unable to finish things on time, Messes, Lack of sleep, Procrastinating, Dating.
Quirks: Scratching the back of his neck in an awkward conversation isn't one of the only things. As a single man, and one unwilling to find anyone else, Orland has many quirks that no one knows of, but perhaps his mother. Orland paces, and not just when talking on the phone, it's especially when he's thinking or talking, of course the situation has to allow him to pace without being a weirdo. He drums his fingers, and wipes his mouth with his hand along as if to rid of the words about to come out of his mouth. Quirking the brow is probably one of the most noticeable aspects of his character.
Other would say that Orland is a shy individual, and yet he smiles a lot and talks enough to rebuff those kind of observations. Maybe it was the fact that he flirts no longer, doesn't attempt to find someone, and could care less about the blind dates his friends set him on. There was once a woman, and being the kind of person he is, Orland refuses to taint the image of her. He's a workaholic to a point that it could be an illness. It was the reason why his wife left him, and probably the reason why she claims she's never loved him. Imagine the pain he's been through, and yet he smiles and is a friendly individual, and a successful cop. However, after his wife left, he's become more engrossed in work than was natural.
'
Occupation: The local Police Department.
Your Usual Order: If it's morning, Orland goes for pancakes with gravy and a black coffee. Any other time, he'll chew on an order of fries with BBQ sauce, again with black coffee.
