Personality: Rayl can be quite serious, often times ruining others good mood with his constant scowl, but he makes up for a sour personality with sheer fighting ability, making him an asset to any order of Knights. He is often times quiet, only speaking when he feels the need, and never with a smile, though he tries his best not to come off as cruel or harsh. He has a soft spot for people that sacrifice everything for dreams, and has many a time helped people behind the scenes to get one step closer to accomplishing them, even if it was merely leaving a wooden sword at the house of a boy with dreams of knighthood, or even giving twenty gold pieces to a singer on the streets when they weren't looking. He has no tolerance for cruelty or the persecution of others, and would rather lay down his life than let such evil go unpunished.
Bio/History: Rayl grew up living the life of a peasant, tending the fields with his family and taking whatever odd job he could find to help make ends meet. He had little time for play, which has caused him to be overly serious and strict in his later years. Life was simple but good for Rayl, until one day King Drakken made his way through their village after a battle with a neighboring land, and Rayl saw the knights in their gleaming armor and swords that could slice through stone, and saw in their reflection his destiny. From that day forward, he took every spare moment to train and would occasionally pick fights with other children to test his strength, until the day he turned 12 and bid his home farewell to venture off towards Castle Sinclair to hopefully become a page to a knight and begin the hard journey to living his dreams.
After making it to the castle, he soon found himself on the wrong end of a mugging, due to ignorantly wandering the streets alone after dark, but was saved by a knight by the name of Oron, who, after hearing Rayl's tale, took him on as his page. Rayl worked diligently under Ser Oron, becoming a squire after only five years of training, and becoming a knight on his twenty first birthday, pledging his loyalty to King Drakken.
Shortly after realizing his dream, King Drakken declared war upon a neighboring land, and Rayl was forced into combat, and after his first few battles became a nightmare on the battlefield, sending more than his fair share of enemy knights to the depths, and earning the nickname of "Demon of Drakken" by the time the war was over. The war had lasted eleven years, and ended when a spy poisened the King and his only heir, which Rayl learned of from a fleeing squire on his way back to the castle. Rayl has since wandered the land, searching for a King to take up arms for, or a cause to fight for, anything to give himself a purpose again.
