~Personality~
Ashlyn was always an intelligent and independent person. Utterly lacking in the charm and guile section, she was rather awful when it comes to sugar-coating things or even just lying. She could be very decisive, and really stubborn about things going her way when she does make a decision. She always does what she believes to be right, an ideal her parents had long since instilled in her. Ash also can have a bit of a temper, although she tends to bottle it up, and then explode. Typically though, she just tends to be cheerful, optimistic, and at the same time sarcastic. Quips are her forte and she'll just as soon tease you as she will compliment you.

~History~
Ashlyn was never the most popular girl in Sleeping Willow. But she was happy. Her parents loved her, and her childhood was full of love, cheer and honestly, not a lot of sadness. Her parents were the intelligent sort, and from a young age she was holding long philosophical or scientific or just plain theoretical discussions- just for fun. She didn't have a ton of friends, but she did have a few, and she was incredibly close to the ones she had. Things changed though, right after she turned sixteen. The witch who, for whatever, had a grudge against the town, cursed them.
And her worst nightmares came true.
See, she'd always been afraid of losing her memories as her grandfather had had Alzheimer's disease. The witch placed a curse on her that was a sort of variation of that. Every night when she goes to sleep, she forgets the events of the day. She wakes up, bright and fresh, feeling as though it's merely the day after the witch's curse. Her mind has somehow made it known to her that she is years older than she'd been then, she can't seem to fathom that years have gone by. Major events seem to stick; she remembered to get a license at eighteen, and keeps using it, though she'd never be able to remember when she got it. But if, say, she spent a day writing an essay, the next day she'd have no recollection of it, and would, perhaps, start again.
Her life, essentially, resets each morning. The relationships she can recall are the ones she formed before the curse. The achievements, stories, and overall experiences she's had after the curse cease to exist for her each day when she goes to bed.
