He is also light hearted and kind when the situation allows. However, he loses this cool demeanor at the mere mention of PKing

Appearance out of combat:

Gear: A suit of armor consisting of plate greaves, gauntlets, pauldrons and gorget, chain mail, a scale mail cuirass and a white tabard.

Weapons: A sturdy sword and shield to defend other players by absorbing a majority of the damage.

History: Remains a complete mystery. While he spends almost every waking minute on the front line defending other players, they know next to nothing about him. There are rumors though, that someone very close to him was once PK'd and disappeared from this world, and that he has dedicated himself to ensure no one else dies in this crazy deadly game.

The heavy clang of demonic wolf fangs clashing against the heavy shield of the armored paladin rung across the empty field as the demon wolf threw itself at Alphonse. Its companion circled around his shield and leapt for his neck, but only be sent flying as Alphonse swung his shield into the wolf's face, turning with the same smooth motion, and bringing his sword down onto the first wolf, his sword leaving a blue vapor trail as it cut through the air. The wolf howled as it died, then vanished in a flurry of pixels, leaving only an item drop behind. Alphonse wasted no time in dispatching the final wolf, as it was still dazed from his shield blow.

Finally, Alphonse inspected the area around him. About 15 items were laying about, dropped by the dying wolves. He sighed as he sheathed his blade and inspected his status as he collected the scattered items. About half way to level 24, so he'd gotten 27% further in about 30 minutes. Not to shabby. He opened his inventory and withdrew a small notebook which allowed him to jot notes. He wrote "Bring lvl20 training groups to deathplains to lvl against wolves. Quick exp and good training against mobs."
He deposited the note book and headed further into the plains, with another 7 wolf claws and 8 fangs in his bag. He needed to get stronger, to better help the other players, and so they could all finally go home.

After having gained an additional two levels from a very long day of leveling in the Death plains, Alphonse finally made it back into town, weary and battered. His shield and armor durability were in poor shape, but that was to be expected of a defender such as himself. That being said, he was at yellow health, all out of potions and had no crystals. In other words, he needed a hot meal and a warm bed somewhere he wasn't liable to being killed in his sleep, so inns were out of the question. The only real alternative would be a guild HQ.

After a bit of wandering, Alphonse stumbled into the door of a nearby guild, which conveniently opened as one of its members left, allowing Alphonse to fall onto the floor of said guild with rather cacophonous clang.

"I-I'd like to borrow a room, if t-that would be accept-table... A meal would also be n-nice."

Alphonse was happy to be allowed to stay, but was a little concerned as well, seeing as there now seemed to be no one in the building except himself and one other woman. He managed to push himself to his feet and stumbled into the kitchen where, to his immense joy, a large pot of stew sat waiting. He hastily poured himself a bowl and sat down at a table in the main room, eating ravenously. It's hard to find a good cook in SAO since most people focused more on combat skills. Before he knew it, he'd finished the bowl and was please to find his health gauge back up at full. As for his gear, he'd have to have it repaired tomorrow when he got up. He put his bowl back in the little kitchen and returned to his seat after unequiping his armor, leaving him in his usual attire. He managed an awkward wave at the woman who, as far as he could tell, was wearing nothing more than a bath robe.

"Er, hello. I'm Alphonse."

Morgaina smiles radiantly and greets Alphonse. "Hello, handsome. My name's Morgaina Saphira." To Klein, she says, "I shall be down in a moment, I must go put some clothes on. I do not wish to alarm anyone by wearing just a bathrobe..." She laughs with a light chuckle and returns upstairs. To her own amusement her garments had already transformed into a midnight black color. She sheds her robe and changes into the spandex pants and midriff top, leaving the jacket as she did not plan on leveling up on this nighttime prowl through the streets. Morgaina however does bring one of her weapon arsenals for protection just in case and walks swiftly back downstairs.
