FULL NAME
      Chun Li
      Spring - Plum Tree

AGE
      Twenty

GENDER
      Female

CLASS
Knight - Polearm, specifically the Naginata
Although it differs from the traditional Naginata, as it has blades on both ends of the polearm. It can disconnect just below each of the blades, and remains attached to the middle of the polearm by chains. When disconnected, it operates similar to that of nunchucks, though anyone who doesn't know what they're doing can easily hurt themselves using it.

SEXUALITY
      Homosexual

NATIONALITY
      Chinese

HEIGHT
      5'7

WEIGHT
      127lbs

HAIR COLOR
Ink Black with blue and purple undertones. Her real hair color has been questioned many times because of the undertones, but it truly is black.

EYE COLOR
A light purple, so light that it appears to be blue in certain forms of lighting. In barely lit areas, her eyes appear to be a much darker shade of purple. Her eyes are filled with a bright gleam in them, like she's always alert and knowing of everything that happens around her.

SKIN TONE
Ivory, even then her skin tone would still be considered rather light in color. She doesn't care for going outside much, and the few times that she does it's not for a long period of time. Her skin only knows the softest grazes of sun.

GENERAL APPEARANCE
Although she personally wouldn't consider herself a sight for sore eyes, it wouldn't be just to say that she isn't an interesting sight. Chun has ink black, almost shoulder length hair, which is almost never tied up. With a possible above average face, the only thing to truly note about it is the little beauty mark below her mouth slightly to the left.

As a knight, her body is incredibly lean, though not as muscular as one would expect her to be. This is probably because she doesn't work out as often as she should, and usually prefers to lazy around her dorm room rather than any form of physical activity. But when she needs to work, she does, and some would say that she would overdo it in most cases. She is incredibly nimble and flexible, and that allows her to fight at a efficient and fast pace, it also allows her to be able to avoid attacks from enemies quickly.

Her clothing of choice is rather loose, as she likes to have the freedom to move whichever way she wants if a demon decides to show itself at the wrong time. She dislikes wearing anything that's skin tight, and she despises any form of formal clothing. Though if she has no other choice but to wear them, she will, with much dismay.

"If this world is ever going to end in flames, then allow me the honor to light the first blaze."

PERSONALITY
      ✦ Enthralling ✧ Aloof ✦ Charming ✧ Authoritative ✦ Witty ✧ Aware ✦ Lethargic ✧ Quick-Tempered ✦

Initially, she comes off as a charming, and elegant young lady. While that is true, she's also the type of person to slap you in the face with a sarcastic comment and still have a polite smile on her face. Though you wouldn't know that from first glance, you'd have to be around for a while to realize just how sarcastic she is towards specific people.

Even for someone who has worked hard to get where they are now, there are times where she just sits around doing nothing for the whole entire day. No exercising, not practicing with her Naginata, not even practicing reciting the most basic of exorcisms, she just does nothing for the rest of the day.

This has lead to people assuming that she's lazy, she's anything but. If she has a good enough reason to do something, and it'll probably benefit her in some form or fashion, she'll most likely do it. But if it's something that someone wants her to do something for the hell of it, you'll be lucky if she ever responds to you.

Under normal circumstances, if someone would try to irritate her, she'd probably hit them with a snide comic, insult their name, and walk away. But, there's a select few people who really get on her nerves, these would be the people who could make her irritable. It doesn't take long for her to explode around these people, and it'll often be a catastrophic explosion at that. It'd be best to just keep her away from these people.

While even though she doesn't speak much (rather because she doesn't have much to say, not because she's shy), Chun Li is very social with her peers, although there's no denying that there's this off putting aloofness to her. Even though she doesn't avoid social interactions, it's as though she keeps everyone at arms length, never fully letting them know what may be going on her life.

On the field with her teammates, she often tries to seem as optimistic as she possibly can. Although on the inside she's pessimistic and doubtful, she doesn't want this effecting the moral of her teammates. When she's on solo missions, this is extremely different however. She lets this side of her show, and it's plainly obvious by the way she takes greater risks than what she would normally do if she was with her team. She also has the bad habit of barking orders to her team, even when she shouldn't.

Even with how little Chun Li speaks, she's always watching the actions and movements of those around her. From simple hand gestures to the slight twitch your eye makes when you're nervous, she sees everything.

ImageImageLIKES
Sleep - She isn't a fan of working hard unless she has too, so when she's not doing anything you'll often find her asleep in the oddest of places. Most of the time, it'll be on high-up ledges, so she's not bothered by anyone. She takes at least three naps a day during the afternoon.
Fighting - For someone who gets bored rather easily, fighting is something that always keeps her mind focused and in full-gear. Though she mostly just spars with someone when training, not an actual, no holds barred fight.
Puzzles/Mysteries - It's as easy for Chun Li to be interested in something, and it's just as easy for her to lose interest in it. Although puzzles and mysteries have a way of keeping her attention for quite a while.
Coffee/Expresso/Ect. - It keeps her awake during her all nighters. It's probably her favorite drink - ever. Her favorite would be French Vanilla Cappuccino.
Pancakes - Specifically with syrup and whip cream on top, it's pretty much all she eats every day for breakfast. She never prepares anything else, it's always just pancakes. And the pancakes are always plain buttermilk.

ImageImageDISLIKES
Bordem - It's something that she's constantly plagued by, so much that she'll do anything to at least keep her mind focused on something. Ironically, this doesn't affect her as much in class as it does outside of class.
Losing Her Cool - Not something that happens every day, but when she does she really loses it. It can be difficult to calm her down afterwards, but eventually she will, not after griping about it for a while.
Soda - Especially diet soda, since it turns into formaldehyde in the human body, which is a chemical used to preserve dead bodies. Chun Li just finds it really gross and there for she just avoids all sodas completely. She'll probably drink it like, once a month, but nothing over that amount.
Water - It's a weird thing to dislike, of course, but she just can't stand drinking it. Mainly because it doesn't have a distinct taste to it, it's just...bland. She'll always add some type of flavoring to it, whether it's lemon juice, sugar, SOMETHING to make it taste differently.
Dogs - It's not the small ones that bother it, rather the big ones. She just thinks they're disgusting.

TALENTS
Acrobatics - It's something that she's been practicing for quite a while, so naturally she'd be good at it. She started practicing it for the sole reason of it advancing her combat capabilities.
Sword/Polarm/Ect. Wielding - Although Chun Li can wield various types of swords and use them effectively in battle, she prefers to always use the Naginata. Because of its relatively balanced center of mass, spinning and turning it allows for a large radius of reach. The curved blade makes for an effective tool for cutting due to the increased length of cutting surface.
Exceptional Memory - Although she doesn't have the ability to take mental snapshots and recall them with perfect fidelity (which isn't scientificly possible anyway), she is still able to remember most things that she has seen in her lifetime.
Reading People - Since she's an observer in many other ways then one, she's developed the skill of being able to read people well. Though this doesn't work very well against people who don't show much emotion, even then she could possibly read their physical movements instead.
Strength - Even though she mainly wields a sword, Chun Li isn't weak in the brute strength department. Being a knight has strengthened many of her other muscles as well, so she can last pretty long in a regular fist fight, although not as long as someone who regularly trains with their fists.

FLAWS
Directionless - Many of the things in her life have been pretty much decided for her, and she's never spoken up or disagreed about them, because she had no problem about the decisions that were being made for her. This has made her lack a real purpose in her life, and she's unsure of what to do now that she's an exorcist. The logical thing would be to aim for being Paladin, although she's not sure she wants to be.
Easily Irritated - When around those that she can't stand, it's very easy for her to be irritated by them. Basically anything that the person says will irritate her in some way, and it's easy for her to explode in rage around them.
Indecipherable - It's definitely not easy to understand Chun Li and her decisions. This is how she keeps herself always an arms length away from people, although she doesn't always do it on purpose. It's really just the way she is, and someone would have to be around her for quite some time to truly know her.
Easily Offends People - With some of the sarcastic and witty comments that she makes, she can easily offend just about anyone around her. She doesn't do it on purpose, if she did, it'll pretty much be obvious as her comments can be quite brutal depending on who they're directed to.
Unforgiving - Once you cross over to her bad side, you're pretty much going to stay there for the rest of your life. You can try to apologize as many times as you want, but once she hates you, she will always hate you.

FEARS
There are very few things that Chun Li would deem worthy of fearing, even though her own are less than logical. She fears ever becoming dependent on someone. To need them every single day of her life, or else she clearly couldn't function. And she simply becomes addicted to them, like a drug. She knows she'll eventually have to will them away, keep herself from self-destruction. But the addiction never goes away, it's simply something you shove in the deepest part of your closet and have the will to never touch it again. She knows she'll never have the strength to do that. That would be the only thing she truly fears.

That and spiders. Not the small spiders that you could probably kill with the tip of your pinky, no. The big spiders that look like the motherf'in grievers from the movie/book The Maze Runner. Of course, that's an exaggeration, point still stands.

"If you're not even a little scared fighting demons, then either you're not doing it right, or you're one of them."

BIO

FAMILY
Chun Li was born into a prestigious family of Exorcists, like many of the other exorcist who also attend True Cross Academy. She was destined to be the oldest out of three children who would soon be born, although none of them would ever remember their birth mother or know who their father was. While Chun Li's mother did nurse her as a baby, even with her exceptional memory she doesn't remember her mom.

Once she no longer needed to be nursed, the raising of Chun Li was pretty much handed over to her caretakers. From an extremely young age, she was being taught the necessary things that an exorcist needs to know, on top of learning the basic abilities of a human child.

This would continue for the first three years of her life, and then came the birth of her younger brother, Yun Li. Besides there being time for the two to interact with each other, they were pretty much given the same treatment. It would be only one more year before her younger sister, Hui Li, also joined the growing family.

Their father was still nonexistent in their life, though that was a thought they rarely occurred to them. The years passed by pretty much going the same for all three of them, going to school every morning, get back early afternoon, and then the rest of the day was spent training. Early on when her daily training first started, it was noticed that Chun Li had a remarkable aptitude for dealing with bladed weapons, and it was decided that she would be a Knight.

Her training never went further than practicing basic exorcisms, as her caretakers wanted the most crucial parts of her training to be taught at the Academy rather than at home.

It's necessary that an exorcist receives a mashō or spirit wound, so that they'd be able to see demons, and most of them usually receive them during training. Though Chun Li was an exception to this. Whenever she was fifteen, her household was attacked by Naberiasu ghouls. Though clear that these were hurriedly stitched together, they were still able to do a great amount of damage, and were easily able to subdue most of the exorcist who lived in the household.

Chun Li was defenseless against them, her eleven year old sister and twelve year old brother more so than her. Even with her best attempts to protect them her siblings, then were in vain. The two of them were overwhelmed by the Naberiasu and eventually killed. Chun Li had obtained severe injuries caused by the demons, which were treated a bit later by the exorcist when they arrive.

After that she was of course able to see demons, and it was also during this year as well. During her earlier years at the academy, she was barely able to function, and it was pretty much impossible to think about her ever fighting a demon, still traumatized by the events that occurred when she was fifteen. Though she healed over time, and is able to face demons with ease now.

Any and all discussion of her siblings is still considered off limits to her, and it always will be. She isn't afraid to discuss what exactly happened the day they died or what they died from, but trying to discuss their personalities, interest, and anything else of the like with her is off limits.

She still blames herself for what happened, thinking that she could've done something even with the basic knowledge that she had at the time.

Her training as an exorcist continued for five years after that accident, and even know when she's still learning new things. Because of her unique choice of weaponry and fighting technique (using simple chants to summon shields and barriers while still in combat), she's known pretty well around campus because of it, though she's still far from being "renowned" exorcist and she knows it.

She still has a long way to go, but she's eventually aiming to become a Paladin, though she may not want to.

Important Note; Chun Li isn't necessarily Aloof because of the event. Her aloofness was something that she always has been, even towards her siblings in some forms.

True Cross is no longer as safe as it once was before. After the incidents of demons cutting loose and attacking students and teachers, security has been strengthened, yet daily classes still go on. Not too much has changed except for the slightly altered subjects and number of fully-fledged exorcists who watch each and every student with absolute caution. Anyone of them could be a demon in disguise, whether they be good or bad. It's not a situation where anyone can let their guards down. Even the teachers are being suspected. Teams have been created to ensure safety and to superiors can watch over students and observe them. Each team is separated into a different activity for the day to put their exorcist skills to the test, even though they just might not realize it just yet...

"What?" Kardos looked away from the textbook about the anatomy of standards demons. It was an interesting ready yet he responded to the message he recieved. A mission? It's about time we get to breath some fresh air, and the team will finish it in no time.
The upper classman tamer rises out of his bed barely adjusting his hair, though he brought his dagger and summoning materials. "Things at truecross have been very tense lately, hopefully we can find the source of this evil." Kardossaid thinking aloud, he knew this mission could be dangerous, so he would be sure to bring his game. Kardos took an hour summoning a few smaller pets for protection. "Well perhaps I should go find mom."

Kardos stashed his books in his school bag and headed out of his dorm. He saw many cameras and guardsmen give him looks several times requiring him to state his buisness. Kardos was sick of how things were, but there isn't much he could have done. He usually wasn't someone to go search for his team but today he didn't want to wait around he hadn't been outside for months. Who knows maybe finding this boy will be easy after all. Anyway I need to find Akiba she usually knows where the rest of the team is or Haru better as mom #2. He enjoyed how close the group had become, they had two family figures, two strong yet silent folk, and a loud mouth to balance it all out. While Kardos doesn't really enjoy how loud Chikanori is he is still family and a good person. "Whithout one member we are not nearly as strong, we use each others strength in coordination, she might be modest about but Akiba is the leader." He then gently bumped into someone dropping the book he had started reading in the middle of his little walk. He looked up and a small smile found it way on his face. "Hello Akiba."

──────────────────────────────────

The sun shined brightly through the window, only to be dimmed by the purple window curtains, giving the room a slight purple tint to it. This only barely illuminated the well made room, and the girl sleeping in the bed pushed to the right of the room.

Sleep. More sleep was always welcomed, and Chun Li had no problem taking advantage of the extra time that she had. She was never one to wake up early in the morning, even if she had to train or if she had a mission. She pretty much slept in every morning if she had the chance to. And that was exactly what she did this morning.

To be more precise, she hit the snooze button on her alarm exactly ten times, almost did it the eleventh time, but decided that she should actually get out of bed. Out of everything that was in her room, her bed was probably the most disorganized.

Chun Li never saw the point in making her bed after she slept in it, as it would probably end up the same way, or possibly worse after she slept in it for the night. And that wasn't something that she would change today. She left it exactly the way it was whenever she woke up.

She threw on her usual clothes, which was pretty much a loose, gray dress shirt and a black skirt that went down about past mid thigh. She never wore anything that was too restricting, as she always liked the freedom of movement whenever she was fighting demons.

After that it was pretty much her regular morning routine before she left her dorm room, breakfast (which consisted plain buttermilk pancakes with syrup and whip cream on top, also coffee), going back to sleep for about twenty minutes, more breakfast, and afterwards more sleep. Only then does she leave her dorm room. 'Ahh..that's right..we had a mission that we'd gotten a while back..today was the day we were to actually start it...' If she had recalled it correctly, they were supposed to find a kid that was messing around in an old building out behind the academy. Perhaps it wasn't a good idea to sleep in today, as there was always the possibility that her team was already there and waiting for her, though this didn't make her rush herself in any way.

She pretty much took her sweet time making it to the building behind True Cross Academy. It was surrounded by towering trees, and covered by vines and shrubbery that had claimed the building after it was no longer needed for training. It pretty much looked like any other old building would, abandoned and devoid of any life around it with the exclusion of plant life. "What kind of kid would what want to mess around in here? she inquired to herself.

Surprisingly, none of her other teammates showed up yet, she was the only one. She decided it was best to survey the area, rather then going inside of the building. If she was lucky, she'd probably spot the kid that was messing around in there in the first place and then she wouldn't even have to go on this mission. Then she could've just gone back to her room and probably sleep until the afternoon. She would've absolutely loved for that to happen, although sadly, today would not be her day. Even after circling the entire area twice, she didn't find any sign of a child being there. If anything, they were probably still inside of the old building.

"Man..and here I was thinking that this could've been easy for all of us.."One thing that she did notice about the building was that the two floors above ground level didn't look very stable at all. If anything, they looked like even a single pebble could probably make them come crashing down in a instance. It probably wouldn't be safe for them to enter, and it especially wouldn't be safe for a kid to enter alone either. They'd have to be careful once they finally went inside the building.

Gosh! Kids these days, they didn't seem to understand to not go messing around in places like that, did they? They loved to worry everyone and touch everything, it was an amazement most of them lived passed nine... But then again, it was all in the parents and how they raised them.

When Ashitaka had officially gotten word of the mission, it was from Chikanori's text message split seconds after she had finished her own dosage of studying. While she might of not been a Knight, Tamer, or a Dragoon and didn't know how to exactly fight like a champ, she had always made sure to be that of a capable Doctor. Even if it required nights without any sleep, Ash always tried her hardest to stay at the top of her game. It was just... the matter of how she eventually went about it on the field.

She stayed in the back most days, observing and watching the demon's movements, jumping in when absolutely needed. After all, it was more or less technology that helped her defend herself, much less anyone else. Her choice of weapon did have it's perks though. At least that was one of the things her father had managed to do right at the time of creation, it even worked better then she originally thought it would. Consider it like a bug zapper, just made for beings of larger, demonic nature.

Letting out a sigh, Ash stretched as she raised from her chair, shutting her medical book and gently putting it back into her bag. Besides some... intense medical supplies, she had the basics. Band-aids, bandages, sprays, creams, needle and thread, and a few more cases just in case of exceptionally terrifying scenarios. If anyone had even allergies, somehow Ash had it covered. She just... hated being under prepared, especially when the certain loud-mouth albino had a tendency to be a bit reckless.

Slinging the bag back around her shoulders, Ashitaka had made her way to the building's general location, not even taking more then two steps outside when she felt herself bumped into. Turning around, Ashitaka flashed a brief smile as she nodded towards Kardos, bending down and scooping up the book for him. "Hey, I was just heading to the building. How are you?" Ashitaka asked as she began handing back her comrade's book, all while Ash nudged her head as if to signal they better get moving.

If they weren't quick, chances were that child could get hurt, and it wasn't a scene she'd be pleased finding. Especially when it came to old buildings. Hopefully Haru and Chun-Li were already there ahead of time with Chikanori, just so they would be able to jump into action if the kid started calling for help.

Haru was up early in the morning as usual. It was a habit from when he lived on the country side, and as much as he wished he got the extra sleep, it was simply impossible to do with the schedule being hardwired in his head. So he woke up around four in the morning, when it was still completely dark, and got ready for the school day.

Despite having cook meals for his siblings a few years ago, he wasn't the best chef. In fact, he was lucky to have no burned anything back then. For his breakfast, he attempted to fry his fish, but it ended up being burnt. Still, he was used to the rule of not wasting anything and ate it anyways, as horrible as it tasted... Afters, he left his siblings a phone call. They were never awake until around six in the morning, and by then, it was already five, so he left message before pulling out his books. It wasn't very often that he'd be able to visit them anymore, so he had to make do with phone calls.

Being a member of Minerva, he had that thirst for knowledge, even if he wasn't going insane over it. He loved to learn, but he wasn't going to spend all his free time just studying. Occasionally, if he felt he needed to be a better asset to his team, he's spend hours pouring over scriptures and texts from the bible, memorizing them. He was capable of doing that much with his photographic memory, which made him a capable aria, though if he never acknowledged it. Studying daily was apart of his morning routine - if he had extra time, he'd spend it memorizing more passages, short and long, and then reciting them off of the top of his head. He'd need it if his team got into any pinch where he'd have to think fast.

Once it was around school time, he changed into that... ungodly uniform they had to wear. Haru was always one for tradition wear like yukatas and kimonos. They were soft and more comfortable than the tight shirts and pants the guys had to wear at True Cross. He tried wearing his clothes from home, but was called off after his first week of breaking the rules. Eventually though, the feeling became more natural, not that he enjoyed it still, but to stay at the academy, he'd have to deal with it a few hours a day.

After getting changed, he headed straight for the building where him and his team would be doing their mission. Haru wasn't sure how he'd react to a dark old building. Specifically the dark part. Haru didn't like the dark. It was childish, but still an actual phobia of his. Demons were scary, true, but the darkness was much worse in his opinion.

Just thinking about it made him shiver.

In his hands was a large book with various bookmarks and folded pages, more than could count at first glance. He didn't really need any of it since most as by memory, but one could never be too cautious. He was reading the pages, flipping to the next page after briefly reading through the passages. He wasn't watching where he was moving though, and it was only when he heard a voice that he lifted his eyes from the pages.

"Man..and here I was thinking that this could've been easy for all of us.."

Haru looked up to find Chun Li, Minerva's knight, observing the building ahead of the two. Before saying his greetings, Haru looked up at it too, and felt no better about the task given to them. 'W-What kid would want to play in here?' He thought and finally walked up towards Chun Li and said, "Good morning..." He gave her his usual, respectful nod of his head, as if it were a casual bow. "How long have you been here? It's still a bit early, and where's everyone else?" Haru asked, looking left and right for any other of their team members, but found no one. Just that lonely, unstable building in front of the two.

'Breathe, sweetie, it'll all be over soon...' A needle stabbed into his arm, tired vermilion eyes snapping to full awareness as he began to thrash. Silhouettes surrounded him, holding him down on some sort of cold, metal table as he was injected, hooked up, and shocked... and repeatedly, at that. It hurt, it burned... But he still couldn't remember what was next. To anticipation if his body would reject whatever they injected, whatever they were doing to him. As if he wondered if they poisoned him more then they already poisoned his soul.

Cliche, maybe, but it was when he felt the table collapse from under him, and the people and blinding lights of some sort of hospital lamp faded into the darkness. He was falling, drowning in the darkness that had become so warm and accustomed to him.
When he finally found himself suddenly being grabbed though, tugged up by God knows how many hands, he was wide awake, panting and sitting up quicker then they did in the movies.

It was another one of those dreams, and that was why he dreaded when the night actually came. Sleep might of been a source of salvation to some, but those dreams seemed horrible familiar, as if he had lived through them once with his very own eyes... It wasn't a thought he seemed to enjoy granting the freedom to roam wild in his head, in fear that it would cause more problems then it was worth. People hated him enough, and if he was to suddenly turn out to be some weak bastard? How ridiculous.

Like that would ever happen.

He found himself already going though his daily routine quicker then normal- maybe because he overslept by his standards. Teach brushed, guns at his side, and neck bandaged tightly to aid in concealing the unfortunate scar tissue and bulge that lurked beneath it. It wasn't that much longer he found out he had a mission, and with a quick sigh he shot out a text to Ash, the Doctor of his team. Chances were, she hadn't gotten the noises just yet.

Whatever.

It shouldn't of been such a pain, to do these things, but each time he had to go out, it was with two people he... mildly detested. The other two? They were funny, a constant entertainment for such a child-like attention span. That, and at least one of them was accepting for the few penis jokes he throw out there every now and again. The other, Haru, was typically the one he teased to no end when it was just the three of them. After this, he'd probably go and find Niko, or just end up tailing around Ashitaka like some sort of lost puppy until she found more pressing matters to attend too.

But... something didn't seem right. Why would a kid go mess around in a building like that? He had taken his fair share of walks when he could, even went inside the building out of curiosity before high-tailing it out of there like most. The building was basically a hazard to begin with. Blinking, he processed the scene before him as he finally showed up at the sight... Only Haru and Chun-Li?

Maybe his strides were just a bit too quick, but he didn't doubt for a minute Ashitaka and Kardos wouldn't be that far from showing up for long. "...Shit. It's too early for this sort of thing..." Nope. No greeting, no 'how are you', just... shit. The quicker the team got this done, the more of the day they'd end up having to themselves... And he supposed there was less of a chance the kid would get hurt. "Sorry it took so long. Overslept, but... Morning."

It wasn't too long after Chun Li had finished her examination of the area in hopes she'd find the missing child that another person from her team had arrived at the site as well. Specifically speaking, that person was Haru, Minerva's Aria, although he had saw (or heard rather) her before she saw him.

"Good morning..." To be completely honest, it wasn't a good morning, for her at least. Sleeping in for half of the day, now that would be a very good morning. "How long have you been here? It's still a bit early, and where's everyone else?" That was a good question, how long had she been there? She had pretty much lost track of time trying to find the kid that had yet to show.

"I quite honestly don't know how long I've been here...ten minutes at the least? As for where everyone else is, I have no idea. As far as I know I was the first one here...maybe the others are making their way here? One thing that I do know is that there was pretty much no sign of the kid around here, they're probably still inside the building."

As she finished speaking, she turned around and glanced at her polearm which was leaning against the more stable part of the building. If she was lucky, she wouldn't have to use it today when brining the kid out, but she had the overwhelming feeling that wouldn't be the case.

Most would probably say that it was rather lazy of her, although that wasn't necessarily the case. If she had the option to forgo something without any major consequences—like training eighty percent of the time—that's exactly what she would do.

"Lazy" just wouldn't be the right word, as she does do things that would be considered "mandatory", but pretty much avoids doing anything else that she doesn't have to do. Which pretty much explains why she was so bothered about having to drag some kid out of a dilapidated building. This whole situation could've been avoided if the kid didn't go around nosing in places they shouldn't be, or if the parents actually watched the kid.

Soon after Haru had arrived that Minerva's Dragoon, Chikanori, had also decided to show up as well, although rudely not saying to her nor Haru. "...Shit. It's too early for this sort of thing...". Now that was probably one of the few things that ever came out of Chikanori's mouth that Chun Li could actually agree with for once. She would've much preferred to stay inside her dorm and sleep for half the day, although she was never one to complain out loud about those types of things. "Sorry it took so long. Overslept, but... Morning." The apology wasn't really warranted, given two of the members of their team have yet to have shown up. They wouldn't be able to start the mission without them, especially given that one of their missing members was the Docter...
I'm actually quite angry right now, I had written about 654 words for this post, but as soon as I tried to post it the site had logged me out and I couldn't find the post again in my history. This has happened several times before and at this point it's just infuriating tbh.

"Words are wind yet cut deeper than a knife, so treat your friends with kind actions and save your tongue for your enemies."

Kardos eyes fluttered from his book on the ground to Ash then back to the book, that was now in her hands. He nodded his small grin reforming, always taking care of the team. "Doing good. Ready to go to this building? Got your bag I see." Kardos attempted to make small talk while walking beside his teams doctor, he motioned to her bag. Then Kardos decided he was done talking, he would only ramble like an idiot if he continued. "I think everyone else will be there, we should hurry don't want to be late."

Kardos began to read through the mission again, he vaguely heard talking that probably was Ash but gee was already focused in. Boy playing in an abandoned building, he could be in danger, or he could be the danger. As a tamer of his level Kardos has learned to expect anything and to be ready for it. Though the safety of the boy was the goal if he hurt one of the team he would feed the boy to his pets whiteout hesitation.
Speaking of his pets he whistled a sharp whistle looking up from his work and accidentally cutting off whatever As was saying. A large Raven with a wing span of about 10 feet then descended from the sky to land on a nearby tree branch "Report." He snappily ordered the bird that had blood red eyes revealing it as a demon. After some squaking Kardos dismissed the bird and turned to Ash. "Sorry about not listening to you but my scout says that there is some demon laying whithin the building, the others are there so we must be careful in how we conduct this mission as always." Kardos nodded towards Ash, then continued walking no longer super serious but still on guard.
Soon they were there, with a few glances around he identified the positions of the entire team. He had a calm looks on his face he began to recite his words under his breath. "I haven a bad feeling about this, just calling reinforcements." his body began to glow a light purple hue, he felt his blood leaving him as the purple glow left him. It stopped a few feet away from him and began to take shape until the glow faded. Then there stood one of his familiars. Kardos winced This being a strong humanoid demon it took him more energy and blood than he was ready to lose. He plopped on his butt, he gave the others a wave of his hand as to say. "Go ahead I'm fine."

"I quite honestly don't know how long I've been here...ten minutes at the least? As for where everyone else is, I have no idea. As far as I know I was the first one here...maybe the others are making their way here? One thing that I do know is that there was pretty much no sign of the kid around here, they're probably still inside the building," Haru heard Chun Li say in response to his previous question.

"I see... They're probably on their way here. As for that kid," Haru looked up at the old building, "they're probably still making trouble in there. Lord... does he even know what could be living in there?"

The building looked so old and unstable... which wasn't surprising since it really was. There wasn't much to look at besides boarded up windows and doors, and when one wasn't covered, it was pitch black inside. It probably was dark....

Just the thought of darkness made Haru shiver. He absolutely hated the dark. Yeah, it was a childish fear, but he still had yet to get over it. 'How can a kid go in a place like this?' he thought while his hands clutched a bit tighter onto the large book he held. 'Now he's causing trouble for the rest of us... And we have to go in there to find him. Do the teachers even know if this is safe?'

By instinct, a few lines from the bible popped up into his head, as if he was practicing them silently to himself as he observed the building. Did he had anything that would create light? No... no... that would only work if there was a demon to exorcise, and few tamers had any demon able to bright light. Damn the dark. It always got in his way and there wasn't anything he could do about it half the time. 'Just... think of this as an opportunity to, ah... get used to it... or something...' Haru tried to optimistically think to himself, but it only made him more uncomfortable.

His thoughts were interrupted by a familiar voice belonging to Chikanori. "...Shit. It's too early for this sort of thing..."

Haru turned around and found their dragoon approaching the two from behind. "And a good morning you too, Chika..." He sighed. As expected from the gun-wielding albino, although Haru did had to admit that he was also feeling the same way, except he was keeping his thoughts quiet.

"Sorry it took so long. Overslept, but... Morning."

"At least you're here and ready," Haru acknowledged, shifting the book in his hands to a more comfortable position. The thing was heavy, incredibly heavy. He'd hoped it wouldn't slow them down in combat, if it came to that... "Now we're just waiting on Ash and Kardos to arrive and-" Haru paused when he heard footsteps approaching and saw the rest of their group join them. "Glad to see you guys showed up," he greeted while watching Kardos as he began to draw circles onto the ground.

"I have a bad feeling about this, just calling reinforcements."

"Good idea," Haru nodded, approaching the locked up and boarded door. Well, it was supposed to be, except that the boards had been torn off and the lock laid on the floor. "The kid's definitely in here, that's for sure. There might be more though..." His free hand reached out to open the door and when he did, the group was greeted with a wall of complete darkness. A malicious feeling radiated out of the opening of the building that sent shivers down Haru's spine as he turned around and sheepishly asked, "A-Anyone want to go in first?"

Was small talk always this hard? It didn't matter, but it was clearly a bit stale. Maybe it was just because they hadn't spent enough time together yet. Letting out a small sigh, Ash tried to push the idea aside for now, a mild concern seeping into her mind. The one thing she didn't exactly like being the Doctor was watching her teammates hurt themselves. Especially Kardos. Those blood summonings just made her so.. uncomfortable. Almost as uncomfortable as Chikanori's blood coughing.

In the end though, she supposed there was nothing she could exactly do. They were the rulers of their own bodies, and she could only patch them up when the time called for it. It wasn't as if it would kill them... right?

No, no definitely not. She'd never let them do something so reckless, and neither would Haru. Chun-Li seemed to be the only one they didn't have to worry about quite so badly, so that was always a plus. She more or less just rambled about things she knew Kardos probably wouldn't hear, nor listen too as if to fill the awkward void.

"Sorry about not listening to you but my scout says that there is some demon laying whithin the building, the others are there so we must be careful in how we conduct this mission as always." When did they ever have an easy mission? Then again, a kid running inside a poor building? Typically even a six year-old child knew better then that.

"Well, that's no good." Ash replied swiftly, her pace picking up until her eyes locked on to the shape of their fellow teammates. Well, they... were a bit late. It wasn't until they approached closer to the building Ash took careful notice of everyone's condition. Haru looked fine, Chun-Li looked okay... and Chikanori looked like Chikanori, whatever that meant was up to general assumption. Ears picking up, just a tad, a soft smile spread across her face as she nodded towards Haru.

"Glad to see you guys showed up," It wasn't exactly like any of their teammates to leave each other in the dirt, or to just not show up in general. Deciding against a general, sassy joke, Ash just laughed it partially off with a wave.

"Sorry about that, guys." Drawing her attention to their Tamer, Ash felt that little smile go into a flat line.

"I haven a bad feeling about this, just calling reinforcements." The moment he summoned that humanoid creature however, that flat line expression had turned into a full-forced frown. Did they really need something that strong? Did he really need to waste that much energy? Spinning quickly to face him and walk over, the doctor held out her hand towards Kardos, offering to pull him up. Ashitaka could swear she could hear Haru saying something, and maybe she should of paid a bit more attention, but she was quick to turn her ears towards him before he was done speaking.

"The kid's definitely in here, that's for sure. There might be more though..." Ah, you'd got to be kidding her. Judging by the way everyone was saying it, there were officially jinxed. If she could reach that wooden board though, she would of knocked on it for every time she heard the word 'demon'. She was going to speak up when Haru continued after opening the door. "A-Anyone want to go in first?"

Aha, the way he stuttered was just purely adorable, though it could of just been Ash's inner crush speaking up. While she might of offered up to go in first, Ashitaka always had felt... a bit uncomfortable with being either first or last. It left openings to being attacked, surprise-wise, or head on. While she knew she was more then capable with holding her own, she just wasn't one to fight unless the situation actually called for it. Kardos, Chun-Li, and Chikanori were all more then capable of defending the team. And to be honest? So was Haru, he just... lacked a certain amount of confidence sometimes.

Nothing they couldn't help or work on, but she was more then glad that Chika had decided to step up to bat and take one for the team. "Haru, you're so adorable sometimes." Ash commented, looking back at Kardos before finally giving into her instincts. "Hey, you're okay, right?"

"At least you're here and ready," Chikanori scoffed. Here? Yeah. Ready? Not exactly. He still felt so heavy, so tired. It wasn't like he couldn't work under these conditions, all things considering though. He had done it before, and he'd just do it again. Sleep and him weren't the best of friends as fair as anyone else knew. Last night? It was a fluke he didn't intend let happen so easily... But didn't the human body need like, eight hours of sleep? That had got to be the most stupidest rule they could of ever made up. Or discovered. Whichever it was, it was stupid. What was stupider was that Ashitaka seemed pretty firm on him getting it.

Mom and Mom number two were always a bunch of nagging, worrying Nancies, Kardos seemed to be always be sacrificing his fair share of blood for a bunch of useless abominations, and Chun-Li was that of the perfect knight from as far as he could tell. Strong and silent. And him? Well, he was just a weird-ass albino he played with guns.

Meh. No use crying over nonexistent milk. Needless to say, he wasn't exactly paying attention to them when the rest of the team began to show up. Just the surroundings, and the broken lock that lingered at the floor. Either someone had broken into the building before, or the kid had bolt cutters. But the boards were ripped off too... What was in there that the brat wanted so much?

Or had that always been there to begin with? Fuck, if it was a demon chances are they were getting smarter by not ripping the doors off the hinges. When Haru open the door though, with that stupid, stuttery stutter that just made Chikanori actually proud to be his friend for some reason. "A-Anyone want to go in first?"

"Move. I'll go first, dork." Chikanori scoffed, pushing his way into the bleak darkness as he glanced back before digging into his pocket and pulling out a flip-top lighter. "Stay close though, and watch your damn steps. I'm looking at you, Haru." It might of been soft, but the tone of voice definitely low, almost a bit like a dog on guard with people getting ready to trespass.

The arrival of the two missing people from their team pretty much went unnoticed by Chun Li until one of them had spoken up. "I have a bad feeling about this, just calling reinforcements.". Ashitaka—or Ash, Minerva's Docter and Kardos, their team's Tamer, had shown up. 'Good, we can get this done and over with much sooner'. While the others were busy conversing, she grabbed her polearm. It wasn't anything out of the ordinary, she usually didn't speak much anyways.

She simply stood in the background, waiting for the team to be ready to go inside of the building and drag whatever kid that decided it was a good idea to hide in there. Personally, she didn't think they really needed 'reinforcements', but backup never hurt anyone. If anything, it stopped someone from getting hurt. "The kid's definitely in here, that's for sure. There might be more though..." Of course, there was always something else.

"A-Anyone want to go in first?" Haru stuttered as he held the door open that led into the ruined building. Chikanori stepped up first, "Move. I'll go first, dork." He took out a lighter before he continued, "Stay close though, and watch your damn steps. I'm looking at you, Haru." Kardos' demon lead Chikanori inside, and Chun Li followed suite. The building was barely lit by the lighter Chikanori held, but she supposed it was better than walking into absolute darkness.

Immediately, she noticed something that closely resembled a child sitting in a lone corner behind empty wooden crates. She slowed down her pace and kept her polearm behind her while she approached the child. "Hey, you okay there kid?", she said as she attempted to touch his shoulder, which seemed to be nonexistent as it felt as though nothing was there. Though the 'child' immediately stood up from its spot and ran away from Chun Li, up the stairs that lead to the unstable upper floor, and further into the ruined building. 'Perhaps it was just the shadow of the child?', she thought to herself as she glanced at where the child headed, although the thought itself wasn't logically sound. "We're going to have to head further into the building I suppose. This place isn't completely stable, so much sure you don't end up falling through the floorboards, okay?" she addressed to her team. She'd wait for Chikanori to head upstairs, as he was currently the only one with a source of light. Even though it wasn't very reliable, it was pretty much the only thing they had.

"I'll set a perimeter around the building nothing gets in or out without me knowing first." Haru heard Kardos speak. His words were actually pretty reassuring, especially seeing how Haru wasn't exactly the most comfortable with darkness and demons and fighting, despite being an exorcist. Who'd have to fight. Demons. In the dark.

"Aha... That'd be nice, and comforting, and reassuring..." Haru let out a deep sigh of relief. Well, it'd be a bit more 'nice, and comforting, and reassuring,' because while that'd protect them from any intruders that didn't happen to be human... The real threat was inside, and this 'real threat' was supposed to be just a kid, yet there he was, an eighteen-year-old adult, standing outside an old-looking building, clutching his book like it was a pillow with arms and legs that shook faster than could be.

Haru watched as everyone went in before him, thankfully, since he was an absolute chicken and coward that wasn't afraid to admit it. As Ash passed by, he heard her say to him, "Haru, you're so adorable sometimes." Instantly, Haru's face went red. He felt even weaker before. 'A-Adorable?!' He thought with a dumb look on his face. 'W-What?!' A small, quiet shrieking noise left his tiny body that ended when Chika shoved right on past him.

That was the typical behavior from the team's dragoon, so it didn't surprise the aria, but it did get him out of his trance. "Move. I'll go first, dork. Stay close though, and watch your damn steps. I'm looking at you, Haru."

"I'll try... I-I'll try..." He whimpered and waited until everyone was in the building before taking his first step. He could sense the odd auras, hear the echoing from far down the broken hallways, seeing nothing but darkness around the small circle of light that Chika held through the form of a tiny lighter. 'W-What's something as small as that going to do for us!?' He thought, wishing he had brought a flashlight or something, at least something that could actually light the place up. His eyes were looking left and right cautiously, not so he'd be ready for something to come out so he could kill it, but instead just to be ready so not to let out a high pitched scream, which was definitely possible. He wasn't liking the vibes of the place, and it was freaking him out more than he thought.

"Hey, you okay there kid?"

Haru let out a terrified squeak when Chun Li spoke and he backed up at least five feet within the one second he had. He saw the child move and run away, and he wanted to scream and shout again, but by the time he felt the fear hit him a second time, the kid was gone. He calmed down, but the 'calm' that he felt was more like 'I want to scream at the top of my lungs like a twelve-year-old girl and go running away like a stereotypical anime girl.' Thankfully, he didn't do that.

"We're going to have to head further into the building I suppose. This place isn't completely stable, so much sure you don't end up falling through the floorboards, okay?" Chun Li advised to the ground. Haru gulped down the uncomfortable knot in his throat, feeling his heart pounding out of his chest. Out of all the places... all the missions they could have been assigned, they were given the one in the dark?! Which just happened to be one of Haru's greatest fears. The whole time he walked with the group, his legs were shaking and he was holding onto his book so tightly like a child. He could have just held someone's hand while they walked through, he was just that afraid.

"S-Should I start saying my lines? F-From the bible of something? Oh god if we run into that kid again..." Haru shook. "Ahh... I wish I was sick today... This is the worst mission..." He whimpered, his voice echoing faintly through the pure silence and darkness.

xxxxxxxxxxAnother bell rings, another morning starts at True Cross Academy, the school for students training to hunt demons. Today, our group of twelve will be starting the day off with John Smith's class - the study of demons. Their teacher has a few things in store for his students today, mainly revolving around them summoning their own demons, studying them, before he gets his chance to show off his two companions for the class to observe and take note of. Although... things may get a little messy, considering it is the infamous John Smith, but then again, it's John Smith we're talking about. He usually has his class under control. Usually.

The man was sitting in his chair, behind the desk his two, dark boots settled to rest on while he reclined back comfortably. Students began to file through the open door, taking a seat wherever, seeing how John didn't care much for seating as long as everyone behaved well enough. The classroom might have vaguely smelled of smoke since he was smoking only a few minutes before another teacher walked by. Now, he was 'reading' a book that was placed right over his face. Was he... sleeping?

Well, after a few students peered at the giant stacks of paper on his desk, they passed it off as the one-eyed man simply catching up on lost rest from the night before. In reality, he was awake, but their notions were right- god was paperwork a pain...

The only reason she was there was because of the class subject and who was teaching the class. Mr. Smith was generally a friendly guy, and very lenient and casual with his students. Plus, he taught things about demons, which she knew she'd have to learn about one day or the other. It'd probably be important, seeing how she had no interest in being killed this year or the next.

She sat basically in the center of the class, pretty much occupying herself with checking her nails and yawning. Why did the class have to start so early in the morning...? Maybe if school started in the evening, she wouldn't mind as much, but this was...

Rhea sighed and hung her head. "Maybe I should just go back and get some sleep like he is..." she murmured to herself upon seeing their own teacher looking like he had a hangover and made an attempt at coming to teach. She sighed again at her own thoughts, letting her head rest on the desk as she continued to debate with herself if she should leave, glancing over at the door every once and a while. Once the class started, it'd be impossible to get out unnoticed.

▕▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▏Haru was sitting towards the back corner

He knew he could still gain some knowledge out of it, learning about the types of demons, what each was capable of, any weak points, and so on. Even if he didn't learn anything new, he knew he wouldn't have the guts to skip out on class like the a few others could.

What use would that book of his be in such a class? None. It'd be of no help, but for some reason, as long as he held it, he felt a bit safer. Those rumors of demons suddenly popping up out of no where creeped him out... he didn't want to be useless if that were to happen in their class (though even if it did, Haru's memorized all of his lines but always feels too unconfident in his amount of skill).

He didn't even seem to be able to make eye contact with any of the other students walked in the door. He didn't care much if anyone didn't sit next to him or did - he was feeling far to fidgety as usual. Did he bring everything he needed? Did he forget anything back at the dorms? Of course not, he was just overthinking things, as usual.

▕▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▏come off as a surprise to anyone who knew that he was a mute. Because he was so silent, he didn't feel the need or want to take any seats towards the front. What use would that be for a kid who could'd communicate with the teacher? It didn't really matter though, Niko had hardly any questions whenever a class was over anyways.

For a long while, he just stared at their teacher. 'How did a goofy guy like him even get this job...?' he thought to himself, and then lowered his eyes beneath his desk where his hands were, covered by those black gloves, as usual. His thumb stroked the palm of his hand, feeling the giant scar beneath the thin fabric. For a second, it almost brought the boy back to those times where there was blood and and pain and-

...He snapped out of it, frowning and cringing uncomfortably. 'I have to focus on class...' Now, he was a doctor for a team of twelve, and class would be starting soon. He didn't want to miss out on learning anything important, and missing out meant knowing less. Knowing less meant probable failure on his part, and he couldn't have that.

Still... when was their teacher going to wake up exactly?

Kardos walked into the class not at all late but not early at the same time. He could tell this would be hell, 'I didn't even want to be a primary! And especially with this class they'll totally turn their attention to me. Hell knows that lazy ass will probably have me teach half of his class!' He knew that due to his constant studying and training Kardos had become kind of like a tamer prodigy. Though to be honest he just wanted to blend in, though being the son of Shura a very skilled Knight famous at True Cross he had his work cut out for him. Kardos walked down the hall he adjusted his robes, he's felt the shifting of his tiny demon friends, mainly hellcats or imps that fit there and could scout or run errands. Many people would squirm and scream though Kardos felt content they would never hurt him.
Kardos walked in and saw a few eyes dart to him, not all the students were here but he still made an effort to not blush in embarrassment. Though he stayed calm and then before moving to his seat looked over to see John passed the fuck out, no, he knew John better. He knew John well, he'll the guy was like his uncle as Shura and Him were good friends. John was definently tired or just being his lazy self. Kardos suddenly whispered a quick word before opening his robe a bit. Out flew a small skull that floated around the room, eliciting shouts of excitement, then it hovered by John's ear. "John wake up lazy head." It rattled off in Kardos voice yet in a near shout instead of a whisper. Kardos didn't wait for his reaction smiled a small grin then strides over to his seat. As he sat he hid his face in a book. The skull then returned to his robe and it was done. Kardos didn't listen to Mr. smith at this point the old man has taught him hell of a lot and this class covered mainly basics. Kardos had himself lost in thought, 'We could summon an old favorite or something new. What are you feeling Blurry?'
'I care little of what you do boy, this is your domain. I am no summoner of demons.' Kardos shook his head the rather talkative and demanding Patron seemed distant and quiet lately. 'Whatever you say big guy' Kardos finally pressed his finger against a page in the bestiary. "Here we are, you will do nicely." He whispered to himself.

Punctuality was, without a doubt, something that a hero should never fail to withhold. Yet, Kyo, one aspiring to be such, found himself moving through the halls of True Cross at a brisk jog, one hand swinging by his side and the other holding in place a blade sheathed on his back. As he proceeded to the classroom to which he was assigned, he made sure that he had all of his necessary equipment with him. Two knives, one in a sheathe on his leg and the other in his arm bracer, the sword sheathed on his back, lightweight armor, all was present and accounted for. The reason for his lack of punctuality on this very day would be due to the time he had spent on the school's training field. It was a daily routine for him to wake up early and go train, but today he was caught up in the practice, more so than usual.

Nearing the room that would now be his class, Kyo slowed his pace down to a walk and stopped short of the door. He slowly inched it open and walked in, prepared to give his excuse alongside an apology. Those mental preparations proved unnecessary upon the realization that most students had yet to arrive and the teacher himself appeared to be taking a nap. From the looks of things, most of the people present had a preference to the middle-rear ends of the classroom. Kyo, on the other hand, chose to sit towards the front of the classroom, specifically the seat closest to the door. He had two main reasons for doing so, being near to the front in the event of an emergency will allow him to do his job as a knight better, as well as being near to the exit so he may leave as soon as the class had concluded.

Upon taking his seat, Kyo let out a rather long sigh and laid his head against the desk with his arms stretched out before him. "Ah... I'm just a secondary fighter, aren't I?" He mumbled, referring to the setting of this, so-called, large group team, "I don't understand that. I put in enough training, right? Should I double those efforts? Maybe if I beat the knight currently on the main force, they'll see that I deserve to be on it." With another sigh, Kyo felt his body tension relax. That's easier said than done though. She's got that wicked polearm. Her reach with that thing far outclasses the reach of my weapons.
