Adam Rain's Story

Adam sat completely still as he was strapped into the chair, and had the helmet placed on his head. As the guards and warden set up for the execution Adam's mind cleared. "Do you have any final words before the sentence is carried out by the state?" The warden said in an almost sympathetic tone. Adam was completely quiet almost in a trance but with his eyes closed. The warden waited a moment before sighing hoping to hear one final brave statement from the boy. Adam, despite being innocent, was always a brave knowing he was meant to die. The warden looked at the executioner who was dawning the black hood then back to Adam and said "May god have mercy on your soul." Then looked at the executioner and nodded as he flipped the switch.

Adam began to shake almost as if gritting his teeth. "Must...hold on..." Adam thought to himself. After about a minute of sitting in the chair Adam fell limp and the warden signaled for the executioner to stop. A doctor then began to walk over to Adam wearing a stethoscope to listen for any sign that he was still alive. Just before he reached Adam, his head shot up eyes glowing bright red and Adam said calmly "Now it's my turn." Adam suddenly was set ablaze almost instantly melting his metal restraints as he got up. The guards scrambled to draw their weapons all 5 of them aimed them at him as one screamed "GET ON THE GROUND NOW". Adam smiled and began to walk towards them. Taking this as a threat they all began to fire on him but to no avail. The bullets melted before they could even touch him. They all got out of his way for fear of being burned as they reloaded and continued trying to shoot him. Adam then stopped and raised his hand. A ball of bright fire began to form. "EVERYONE OUT" a guard stormed into the witness room to get them to evacuate for their safety. Once the ball of fire was big enough Adam pointed it at the huge metal door and fired it almost completely vaporizing it. Just then an alarm could be heard all over the facility and a voice on the pa system said "Death row inmate is escaping all guards prepare to take him down" Adam smiled as he heard this knowing they could do nothing to stop him.

As Adam arrived in the main room that housed all the other inmates cells About 4 dozen guards on all levels had m4 assault rifles pointed at him all in full riot gear. Adam laughed softly then looked around for the door. Once he saw it he began to walk faster towards it. After 3 steps every single guard began to fire on him but to no avail. The most the bullets would do is barely touch his skin before they melted. Adam walked past every single guard some as close as 3 feet away but their bullets only melted. Once he made it to the door he melted it too and continued down a long hallway towards the exit. Just before he reached the door a guard burst out of the office that was at the entrance holding a fire extinguisher. He pointed it right at Adam and sprayed. Adam coughed and fell to his knees holding his hands up to block the spray. Once the fire extinguisher was empty the guard just stared at him unsure of what to do. Adams head shot up his eyes glowing red with anger. He quickly got up and charged the officer igniting himself in the process. Adam punched rammed into the guard so hard (but not enough to kill him) that he flew into the doors and flew out the doors a good 10 feet doing nothing but utterly shocking the waiting armed guards outside. As Adam walked outside meeting even more resistance but this time there was a police chopper in the air. As the guards raised their weapons to him, Adam looked up at the chopper because next to the light that was pointing at him he noticed something shiny...it was moving. He squinted a bit and then noticed it was the barrel of a mini gun beginning to rotate. His eyes widened a bit. "Shit...that could be a problem" He said to himself. He quickly looked around to see if there was a place he could hide or a vehicle he could use to escape...which there was. To his right a small distance away behind some chain link fences he could see civilian dressed people rushing into a parking lot area. He paid little attention to the people but he could see a black crotch rocket motorcycle practically begging to hijacked. Adam looked back at the mini gun who's barrel was rotating faster now. He took a deep breath as his fire fully engulfed his body then took off towards the bike. Just then the mini gun began to fire at him but thankfully he was out running it...barely.

He ran through each set of fence easily melting the metal. Thankfully once he reached the bike the chopper was both trying to catch up to him and reload. Adam quickly extinguished his fire and jumped onto the bike. "I sure hope I remember how to hot-wire" He said to himself ignoring the shocked onlookers

Finally the bike came to life. A huge smile grew on Adams face but it was short lived. The Chopper circled around and he could see the barrel of the mini gun beginning to rotate again. "Oh shit. time to go" He said himself. Adam quickly revved the engine, did a quick U-turn and took off just as the minigun began to fire. As Adam drove towards the gate he could see the huge gate beginning to close. He revved the engine again and sped up as much as he could. "Come on... Come on..." He said to himself getting nervous. But he made it just in time and sped off. Unfortunately for him the helicopter was hot on his tail.

Adam began drifting off to sleep but then heard police sirens blaring in the distance. He smiled softly while panting. A cut on his left eye kept it from opening without getting blood in his eye. Normally he had heightened senses of the world around him, but after taking a beating like he just did he didn't notice the approaching footsteps nearby. He just focused on the sirens and he began to chuckle very softly.

Adam got to his feet holding his bad arm again. He didn't need any more attention from law enforcement so couldn't let the girl know who he was or where he came from or even why he was so banged up. "Is there something I can help you with?" Adam said sternly but calmly

Adam grunted and sat back down. He was used to letting time heal his wounds. He was fully prepared to sleep the night away between the dumpsters if he had to. But unfortunately it looked like he would have to. He never was really able to trust people in his life which is why he didn't want the girls help.
