Name:
Iyen
Age:
17
Grade:
Senior year
Role:
The Creeper
Gender:
Male

Fear:
1. Being alone: Not that it really matters much to Iyen in the shadow world, and since he’s almost accompanied by his two elder brothers.
2. Being stuck in the shadow world: Iyen definitely loves the shadow world; especially since he can create almost anything he wants or thinks of. But this is exactly what scares him; he still remembers the one time he caught himself in a never-ending nightmare. From then, Iyen had to accept that his powers had a crutch, and that he didn’t have the best power over it at all compared to his eldest brother.
3. Arachnophobia: His brothers have sworn that they’ve heard Iyen actually scream out loud at the sight of spiders. Iyen’s hatred towards spiders is very much real.

Oddity: Iyen is all over, extremely odd. Whenever he speaks, he will occasionally flinch without any reason at all, a trait that he keeps even in the shadow world. Iyen has tried to practice to stop himself from flinching randomly, but nothing has helped at all. He has accepted this side of himself, and sometimes tries to translate the flinches- as best as possible- into casual shrugs.

Sexuality:
Pansexual.

Romantic Interest:
Not determined yet

Nationality:
The Shadow Realm

Job:
Iyen does not have a job at all; he’s sort of like the leech in the family.

Height:
6”0
Weight:
157llbs

Eyes:
Electric blue
Hair Color/Length:
Iyen has brown hair that reaches his neck.

Scars:
None.
Tattoos:
Iyen got two tattoos when he was in his rebellious stage (that some say he’s still in). The tattoo is mainly on his right on, though it does extend a bit to his back. Many have claimed that his tattoo is too feminine, to which Iyen responds with a punch.

Birthmarks:
Iyen has no birthmarks.
Piercings:
Does have one ear piercing, but he has since let it grow and fill up again, as he didn’t feel like wearing earrings afterwards.

Talents:
1. Writing: Iyen loves writing, and tends to write wherever and whenever he can. He has received a few in-school prizes for some of his poems and short stories, but Iyen’s never tried to go for larger prizes nor has he ever made the attempt to write a novel.
2. Photography: Since young, Iyen has constantly held an undying curiosity towards his surroundings and the beauty of almost everything and anything. After he had saved enough of his allowance up, Iyen went straight and bought a camera. Since then, he’s gotten a lot better at taking photographs, and takes pride in many of his pictures
3. Whistling: Iyen sometimes wishes that there were some kind of award for how close someone could imitate the calls of birds. He has been able to fool many people with his whistling, much to his mirth.
4. Long distance jogging: Lean and tall, Iyen seemed to be built for sports. But he wasn’t mentally; the only sport that really caught his attention was long distance jogging, and he has participated in multiple marathons.
5. Drawing: More developed in the artistic sense, it was not much of a surprise when Iyen started dabbling seriously into drawing and painting. He instantly fell in love and developed his own dark- or in his eyes, rather humorous- style. Many times, he draws characters that look just like youkai out of Japanese fairytales. Though, if he puts his mind to it, Iyen can draw rather realistic pictures of both people and sceneries alike.

Dislikes:
1. Chickens: Iyen dislikes anything that is made out of chicken, thank you very much. He’d rather eat ceasar salad without the chicken and just the greens rather than with chicken. He can’t stand the smell of cooked or cooking chicken and constantly feels nauseated when the thought of eating a piece of chicken crosses his mind.
2. Television shows: He doesn’t know why; over the past 17 years of his life, Iyen has never really found television shows any fun (besides cartoons and animes). It felt as if they were extremely dull compared to what he himself could think up.
3. Swearing: Iyen just dislikes swearing in general, and has never sworn before except once. It happened when he had gotten into a huge fight with someone at school- someone who had pushed him on the exact wrong button- and had caused him to swear. This occurance literally stopped all talking and movement in the room that they had been in, as everyone couldn’t believe that the usually sweet and kind Iyen was acting in such a way.
4. Spiders: If Iyen could, he’d lead a campaign throughout the world to burn spiders to death.
5. Being alone: at home, Iyen tends to just move around in the livingroom, or wherever his brothers and their foster grandmother are at. He rarely ever moves on his own, and tends to have a group of friends (imaginary or real) around him at all times.

Likes:
1. Sweets: Iyen can be bought over with sweets for almost anything. Wherever he goes, Iyen has a piece of candy or a pastry in his hand.
2. Setting things on fire: This is one of the few hints of a more twisted character within Iyen. He loves to set things on fire, from pieces of paper to butterflies. The burning figures always bring out a dark giggle from Iyen, and his foster grandmother hates this side of him.
3. Running: Iyen is an advid runner; he participates in the track and field club in his school and has gone to competitions, though he has never won an award before. Though Iyen is good, never has he ever been able to find enough motivation to win.
4. Nature: Nothing gets Iyen’s imagination flowing besides when he brings his drawing book outside, to sit through all seasons, and just take in everything around him and blending it into something else entirely
5. Painting/drawing: Iyen almost thinks- quite literally- that the whole world acts as his canvas. He has doodles almost everywhere, from on his own body, to on his friends, on walls at his school, all over his own room, and in the shadow world.
7. Napping: Iyen takes a lot of naps, during class or back at home, if he has the chance, Iyen will nap.

Weaknesses/Flaws:
1. Innocence: Though some say Iyen is innocent, it’s more like he’s naïve. Iyen tends to shield himself from the pain and agony of the real world, retreating either behind his brothers or into his dreams to assure himself that nothing is wrong at all.
2. Trust: Iyen trusts almost everyone for whatever they say. If someone says one thing in front of Iyen, he trusts them, and takes whatever anyone says as fact.
3. Inability to lie: The people around Iyen have also learned that whatever he says tends to be true- and if he lies, there are obvious behavioral reactions that people can pick up to know that he is.
4. Insecurity: Iyen almost doesn’t dare to do anything in real life. Most of his life is planned and structured by his two brothers, as Iyen himself does whatever he wants to do. His insecurity has left Iyen sort of like a young child in the body of a young adult.
5. His past: He doesn’t want to know his past. Iyen has had many hints, from within his dreams, about a dark past that his brothers and him have since forgotten, and the hints only frighten Iyen.

Hobbies:
1. Writing poems and short stories: as stated, this is one of the main things Iyen does when he has the time to.
2. Bake: Many like to joke that Iyen is like the girl in the family, who constantly helps out their foster grandmother. Iyen takes pride in this, and loves to help around the house to make sure to repay the woman who had saved them.
3. Writing down his dreams: Though Iyen now knows that he can control and remember his dreams, he still keeps the habit of writing them down which he developed since he was a young child.

Personality:
Iyen is, most of the time, extremely out-going and loves to mingle with others. If he isn’t bursting out with laughter, Iyen is talking with a large amount of enthusiasm, his eyes glinting with glee. With this side of his personality, it is hard to see the reason why Iyen is popular and has many friends, though his looks also suffice as a good enough reason by itself.

However, underneath this cheerful- and to an extent, childish- appearance that Iyen almost constantly has on, he is extremely insecure. His childhood has been laced with nightmares and loss, he himself constantly wondering where his parents had gone. For no reason at all, Iyen has this constant idea that he was abandoned because he did something wrong when he was younger; this insecurity has built to the point that it can cripple Iyen with whatever he does. It stops him from trying in most things new, and forces him to do things in ways he believes is ‘right’.

Iyen is hardly ever seen angry, though it is easy to see him sad. His emotions scale between two different poles: extremely happy and extremely sad. He is almost never seen in between, and it is easy to trigger sudden emotional changes in Iyen. These shifts occur so frequently that many have questioned Iyen if he is bipolar or not.

As the baby of the family, Iyen rarely plans forward and usually doesn’t show any form of responsibility whatsoever. He joined his eldest brother’s plans because he thought it seemed fun, and because- to an extent- he fears the powers that his brothers wield.

But, there seems to be another side of Iyen. One that isn’t as pure and kind that many think he is.
Bio/History:

Other:
Even Iyen’s brothers tend to avoid the dreams that Iyen manipulates. This is because the dreams tend to be nightmare-ish for others, a tickling of the senses in the worst ways possible.
