Personality: Arrietty is possibly one of the friendliest and sunshine-ist girls you'll ever meet. Her childish-like attitude and optimistic views on life, coupled with beaming smiles, makes her a likable character by almost everyone. Situations, as well as in people, she tries to find good in everything, and believes everyone deserves a second chance. Because of this attitude, Aria is easily forgiving, and will always gives the benefit of the doubt in any conflict. She is not a very outgoing and confident individual, however. She tends to have very low self-esteem, always thinking that everyone is looking down on her. This conflict within her has led to her excessive daydreaming and her urge to escape reality, no matter what. Even though she has this war raging within her, Aria has learned to be a sweet, kind, gentle and caring being through her books and will basically greet everyone with open arms unless they've proven they don't deserve it and loves to make people smile.
On the note of her intelligence, Aria is very capable of great things and though. Because of this capability she has learned, Aria tends to speak her mind freely, and not really realize if she has offended someone with her thoughts. She also despises being pushed about or bossed around leading her to be very stand-offish when this occurs (this came from her royal upbringing) and if someone does, she will often resort to heavy doses of sarcasm. Don't be fooled by her usual sweet self: her words can cut like a jagged knife. From the novels and daydreams, Ari is also very imaginative, creative, and extremely crafty. She loves to think out of the box and will display her ideas through her words or through her head no matter how ridiculous they are. Because of her mindset, she especially hates being told how to do anything, when she should do it, or that she is wrong or having to follow the stereotypical ideas society has set forth. A rather negative trait that Aria (thats not really suited for a lady, mind you) possesses is an uncanny skill to be lie and being painfully stubborn. She's definitely the type of girl who stands up for what she believes in, doesn't let others push her around, and does what she wants. She's headstrong, but she is also loving and caring and just happy.
History: Aria was born on December 3 as Arrietty Evelyn Fiamatta Cordelia de Lamperouge the daughter of the King of Casta Luna, Charles de Lamperouge, and the late Imperial Consort, Marianne Lamperouge, making Aria the next in line for the throne of Casta Luna. However, there was controversy about Aria's mother not being of royal blood and thus, many people wanted her dead. At the age of 6, Aria lost her mother to an assassination. At ten years old, Aria begun her training to be the next ruler for her beloved country. But honestly, she never wanted it. Soon, Aria grew into a depression at her lack of freedom and her mothers death which resorted her into escaping from reality into her own mind. Even after all this time, Aria deep down, blames her father for the death of her mother.
