Eris Becker

Once a serial killer, now "reborn", but old habits die hard.

0 · 433 views · located in Exodar, Earth

a character in “The Greater Good?”, as played by echored

Description

Age: 22
Height: 5'11"

Like the picture below, she has a dark brown hair color, almost black. Before the disease hit, her eyes were a chocolate auburn color, that have now turned an eerie dark red. Eris herself is bothered by the new color of her eyes, seeing as how it makes her look more obviously dangerous than she already looks. She is tall, and very toned, most of her weight due to muscle mass. Favorite clothing? Jeans and a t-shirt. Sometimes accessorizing in scarves and gloves.

Personality

Before the infamous disease? To put it simply, she was a recluse. Maybe a bit crazy, as well. Eris never really believed she chose the path of murder, but that it rather chose her. She relished in the pain she brought to others, and got off to the fear she could cause. She was dark, quiet, and introverted beyond belief. One would think that someone as attractive as Eris was would be more outgoing and happier, but she found her looks nothing more than a near nuisance. It brought her more attention than she ever liked. And those that tried to get too close to her, even for mere friendly intent, found themselves either killed or injured severely.

After the disease took place? Read history to find out!

Equipment

Not carried on her, but stored in her cabin: Rope, ammo, a wide variety of knives, one katana sword she bought while in Japan, and several guns.

Main weapon, usually strapped to her back: Colt SE 6920 M4LE 5.56mm, similar to the one in the picture. Easy to say, she isn’t one to mess with.

History

Early life:
Born and raised in Texas, one of the most cocky states in America. Father was an alcoholic cowboy who abused her mother as well as herself. The sad thing was that her mother never did anything about it, just let it continue for what seemed like forever. By the time Eris reached thirteen, something snapped in her mind. She couldn’t take the abuse, the swearing, the stench of alcohol in the air any longer. If her mother wasn’t going to do anything about it, she was. One hot, summer night, while her father was out putting the horses in their stables for the day, Eris grabbed her fathers rifle that was hung over the fireplace. It was loaded, like every other gun her father owned. The young girl didn’t think twice as she gripped the rifle tightly in her hand, and took off to where she knew her father was, the barn. Eris didn’t flinch a bit when her father stood motionless, glaring down the rifle that his daughter was pointing straight at him. Bang, and her father collapsed, a bullet right between the eyes. She had an amazing shot for someone her age, and it seemed so effortless. Like she was born to kill. As the blood ran down her fathers face, she smiled devilishly. Victim one, her father. Next would be her mother, for she couldn’t have anyone turning her in.

Now parentless (aka, no family) she set off on her own. And the murderous streak only grew, the ways in which she killed grew more and more sickening. By the age of 21, almost 22, Eris Becker had managed to kill around 30 people, and to her pleasant surprise, has never once been trailed by the cops. She found refuge in the Rocky Mountains, in an old abandoned cabin that she would call home. Here she kept all the collected weapons and miniscule other belongings.

The day the disease struck, Eris had been clueless of what was going on. And even though she was high up, away from civilization, whatever it was still managed to hit her, and hard.
For days Eris convulsed in bed, unsure of what was happening to her. Any moment she felt death would creep on to her. She believed, without a doubt, that it was God spiting her for all the wrong she had caused in the world. She had never been religious. In fact, the last time she had been inside a church was the weekend before she had killed both her parents on the farm property in Texas. Yet, as she lay shaking in seizures on her bed, sweat dripping from every pore, she believed. “I swear I will change my ways, never kill again, Lord!” or “Almighty God, please forgive me. I have wronged, I repent, I AM SORRY,” she would plead out loud as she gripped her bed sheets so tightly that it drew blood in her palms. After a week of this, amazingly, the pain had subsided. She was alive. And more so than that, she was different. She could hear things so much clearer, and from farther distances, and her eyes. Oh, her eyes... Those were what intrigued her the most, for they were a deep red, the color of blood, a color she was more than familiar with. God had saved her, and brought her back to better than ever before. It was as if she was somehow superhuman, if that was even possible.

“If this is a second chance at a new me, Oh Powerful God, then I will do your will. I will no longer kill, like I promised. It is why you saved me, isn’t it?” she prayed as she knelt next to her bed, going a tad more crazier than she was before the disease. After all, she was speaking aloud alone, waving her hands in the air, as if the all powerful God was in the room with her.

Long story cut short, Eris soon found out that nearly the whole worlds population was wiped out by a strange airborne/waterborne disease that struck everyone, leaving only a few million as survivors. And they all were focused in the general area of Exodus, so the news anchor called it. If there was ever a scene to witness, it would be when Eris jumped from the ground with joy, shouting, “God, you really did protect me, I am chosen!” With that, Eris gathered all her weapons, threw them in her car, and headed to the local airport. It was abandoned, except for a select few that had her same idea. Of course, no one checked her bag, no one seemed to even care. They just wanted to make it to Exodus, to be around others that had survived like them. Luckily a pilot was on scene, who flew those who were there to this place. How he knew where he was going, Eris was mildly confused, but wouldn’t question it.

She spent the rest of the time on the plane looking around at others. She could hear the slightest of breaths, and when she looked out the window, what was so far below even seemed clearer. The buildings that were normally tiny, as if like ants, now were easy to see. There was more to find out about her abilities, but for now, she wanted sleep. When she would wake, she would promise to be a new Eris. A better, more civil Eris... that would no longer kill for pleasure.... but then again, old habits die hard.

Powers: Enhanced senses, like the many. Her eyesight was the most improved, allowing her to see even in the darkest of spaces, like a nocturnal animal. She will soon find out about her extremely improved strength. As well, her sense of touch had changed. If she were to touch something, she was able to feel their emotions, whether it be fear, or happiness. (This might develop over time into further strengths)
