Spirit stepped into the set, her newly-cleaned herbs in the basket. She heard T.C and rushed over, looking at the dead deer quickly "Hey!" She smiled "I think I have enough stuff for salad now to go with it." She smiled lightly and walked over to a log next to a small setup for a fire and grabbed flint and a small steel knife. Once she had some tender in place, she struck the flint, making a small fire. She added some wood into the fire until it could sustain itself and she looked back to T.C "You think we could make some blankets with that?" She asked lightly, running a hand though her light blonde hair

"Salad would be good, then the meat will last a bit longer. And yes we will be able to make a blanket or two. Once I'm done cleaning this I'll need some of those plants I showed you yesterday. Did you pick any?" T.C. Said hoping the girl had remembered and gotten the plants for dinner. While T.C. Waited for an answer she remembered to ask if Spirit had a knife. If she didn't T.C. Would make her one out of the antlers. She partly hoped she wouldn't have to teach her how to use it. Teaching wasn't her strong suit, well to be blunt she was no good what so ever at teaching.

"Oh, yes, I found some yesterday." Spirit said and lifted a few leaves out of the basket. She handed them to T.C and then picked up the knife she used to spark the flint and held it up "Yes, of course" she smiled lightly and looked around for others "Noose seems to be around. Wonder why. " she noted and returned Herr attention to the deer.

"Good. If you or anyone else needs one let me know, I'm saving the antlers just in case. Do we have thyme or rosemary? I want to add some flavor to this." T.C. Said without looking up except to get a quick look at the knife. It wasn't a bad one but she wasn't sure how long it would last being used so much. "Hmm."

"I do have some rosemary, but unless there is some in the cabinet, I do not know about thyme." Spirit smiled and turned back to the fire
"I brought the knife with me. You know, when I came here. It was my dads.... he deserved to have me take it though, so I don't feel bad about taking it." She said lightly and grabbed a discarded stick, poking at the fire with it

"Rosemary is good and we can do without thyme. As to your father I understand that but just know it's a good idea to cary at least two knives. T.C. Said handing Spirit a knife about an inch and a half to two inches bigger then her fathers knife. "Be careful with those okay?" T.C. Asked or really told Spirit. She didn't know why but somehow the little girl brought the best out of people. T.C. hadn't seen the best side of herself in a long time. She wouldn't admit it even on pain of death but she was starting to let the girl grow on her. Maybe it was because of whom Spirit reminded her of...

"Okay. Thank you" Spirit smile and put the gun to her side "Do you need me to help with the deer? The salad will not take long at all" She said lightly and looked over to the woods "Where is everyone, anyway?" She asked lightly.

"What I need for the deer is somewhere to store what we won't eat today, and I need a fire. But I'll do that. As to where everyone is, I don't know when I got here everyone was gone." T.C. Said finishing with the deer. She turned and put the deer on the spit over the fire place that was waiting to be lit. Then took the skin and put it on the tanner she had set up just after she first got here. "That should be ready in a few days." T.C. Said turning back to the girl.

"I can make a cure, for the deer. As for keeping it, that and possibly digging a hole and burying come cans that have the meat in it will work" Spirit smiled and got up, walking back into the infirmary. She went though her cabinet and got out few things and a bowl, mixing up some of the herbs in. She came back outside. "Smells good," she commented lightly "I think that the skin will make a great blanket or two"

"The herb mixture will help for sure, plus i don't think this will last long. We all should gain some weight before winter, so thanks medicine woman. As to the skin making two blankets it might make two small ones but it would make a good sized blanket and some good shoes for small to medium feet." T.C. Said pointedly looking at Spirit's feet.
"I like the term Medicine Woman. Makes me seem older" Spirit laughed lightly, then looked down at her feet "Oh... I don't need any shoes. It would be better if we had the extra blanket for winter..." She smiled, looking up. "It would be nice to gain some wight. That would be new. Deer meat is very good" She commented, picking up another bowl and pouring some of the salad in "Here!" She smiled and held out the bowl to T.C.

T.C. Had never known anyone who talked like this girl. "Well first, you are turning into a medicine woman so it suits you, as to your shoes we will see how your they hold up. If they do well then we can have two smaller blankets. You need to gain wight you little twig!" T.C. Joked with Spirit. It was almost alarming how much this girl reminded her of-no I will not go there. T.C. Thought. She didn't need anymore of that. "What's this?" T.C. Asked taking the bowl.

"Salad. It's good, try some" Spirit smiled, stirring the rest of the salad in the other bowl "I put some coriander in. Oh, and I was thinking" Spirit said, taking a leaf from th bowl and chewing on it "You know how we always have to hide when we go to the city?"

"Yes. What about it?" T.C. said taking a few leaves from the bowl. T.C. hoped she wouldn't have to tell Spirit some of the stories of what happens when kids on the run don't hide.

"What if we changed the appearance of people before they go? It would be easier. We would still have to hide, but not as much. I can make some chamomile tea, and that would help lighten hair, as well as some lemon juice and sun. Lemon gets rid of freckles, too" She smiled lightly, before continuing "So lighter hair and no freckles to show"

"But can you change someone's height? Or their skin tone? You have good ideas, but the people who look for us know our faces. They have people study pictures of us and they put cameras all over to scan faces. So if we walk boldly into a store cameras would be letting the people we are hiding from, know just where we are. So we can remove freckles and lighten our hair, and that will help, but only so much. Though I must say you're very smart for someone your age." T.C. said in a big sister tone.

"Well like I said, we would still have to hide. It would just be easier. Also, if we have some shoes, I think me and you could design an insert. Make slightly bigger shoes for someone, and then put in a small stilt inside the shoe. Make them a few inches taller. I don't know about skin tone though. Winter is also a good time. Boots and robes" She smiled, pulling a small scrap of paper from the table "I got bored. I was looking at healing properties of a certain tree, and I saw it was very strong, even with very little of the wood used. Ironwood. We could put the insert into the shoes and it would raise the height of the person"

"Good. I just want to help... I feel like I need to compensate for being so young" Spirit sighed, setting the paper down. "I should go try to find the others. It's almost dinner time, and we don't want everyone out!" She smiled, putting the bowl down quickly.
