Julian Dai's Story

Julian Dai stepped onto the docks, luggage at his side. He wore a suit, the only one he wore. His mother had always told him to dress well for special occasions. He smirked at this. What a special occasion this was.
Julian looked up from his luggage and turned his attention to the man who had spoken. His dark eyebrows knitted together. After scanning the small group of people standing near the dock's edge, he cleared his throat.
"Obviously, I'm waiting for the same boat as all of you," he remarked.

Julian's black eyes watched the cigarette fall at his feet. He slowly looked back up at the man, his eyes holding many different colors of fire.
"I don't believe that is any of your concern." His eyes found the woman smoking. She was pretty, but there was something hidden beneath that. The other woman in the lab coat looked as if something were troubling her. Obviously, the other man had something up his ass.

Julian took a few steps towards the group, his eyes locking with the woman with the cigarette. "surprise, surprise. On another note, my name is Julian."
Julian was silent for a moment, as if contemplating if he should tell her. Finally, after a long sigh, he spoke up.
"I am an artist. I sell my paintings in galleries across the world. Of course, this is almost impossible with government regulations." For a moment he got lost in his thoughts. "And.... you?"

Julian nodded, a smile stretching across his face.
"A dancer?" He asked again. "You could say we express feelings in two different ways; I through art and you through dancing."

Julian kept his eyes on Angel for a few more moments before turning to look at the new comer.
"My name is Julian."

"We've been here for about a half hour. The ship should be here within the next 15 minutes," Julian responded, shaking his head slightly at Ace's response. He caught a gimps of Ace's shaking hand, but said nothing.
"Ugh.... everything I see. My father was an architect. He used to have me draw out landscaping for him." Julian smiled at the memory. "But, I also like drawing living things; plants, animals, people," his eyes moved to Angel and back.
Julian nodded, a smile coming onto his face. "Is that right? I'm mainly a fan of traditional. I like to capture beauty in my work."
Julian smiled and nodded towards Gabby. "Sounds good to me."
He picked up his luggage and squinted his eyes towards the ship. "Here goes nothing," he murmured. He turned to Angel and Gabby. "Shall we, ladies?"

Julian jumped in surprise when the man had fallen. He jumped to Angel's side.\
"Are you alright?" He asked her.

Julian followed Angel up the ramp. The ship was beautiful. He wanted to paint it.
"Such beauty...." he trailed off as he looked out at the water.

"Sure thing, Gabby. I have to rest now though. Maybe tomorrow."
Julian searched for his cabin and once he had found it, he was happy to take the load of luggage off his arms.

Julian woke up to the sound of seagulls squawking overhead. He sat up in bed and stepped out of his cabin, running for the deck. He could just see the rising sun and its beauty. He reached for the drawing book tucked under his arm and began sketching.

Julian looked up from his sketching, his eyes finding Angel. He smiled, lifting up his hand and signaling her to come forth. Did she know how much the sun complimented her features?
"Good morning. And I thought I was the only early bird"
