Introduction
2099, seconds from New Years. Twenty years since that dreadful New Years morning. Where martial law is not enforced by the ever present threat that comes with this dreadful, futuristic technology, riots fill the streets and the battle between freedom and money rages war in the very places that were once filled with happy citizens. From taxes to houses to small businesses, everything is regulated by our new "government"; a communist ideal. No, a worldwide communist paradise.
We live in New York. All the subsections of this once great city are in a civil war, but a silenter one. Assassins, heroic bands, and brave souls fight a much quieter war than in what are called Red Towns. We could be anyone. We are freedom.
Where do you stand in this Last Civil War?
Groups:
Banks: They have become sort of a worldwide Mafia. You miss a deadline, and those empty threats become much more real. The source of corruption, they were often known for gambling with our money and charging us if they lost. (Gambling as in investments.)
Black Market: The only source of advanced technology available to common folk. Accepts either a normally un-acquirable amount of money (i.e. killing others for their share) or an assassination job. They aren't formal assassinations; usually just killing someone who owes them or the dealer simply has a grudge against.
Government: This includes the police. Powerful and threatening, they are not afraid to shoot.
Seekers: 'Collectors' for the government. They find people, particularly those that deal with the Black Market, and take them. Where they go can only be speculated, but they never come back. Something about them is different, however, from normal human beings.
Technology:
Digital Contacts: Displays information from multiple government and military sources based on brainwave patterns. In layman's terms, you want information on someone, you get it.
Force Aplicators: A circular structure located inside most modern guns. Air spins around and around until the pressure becomes lethal. Shattering and blunt bullets are used in conjunction with this so a target can be shot from further than point blank, since otherwise the lethal pressure would dissepate.
Smart Targeting: A computer located inside the weapon makes accurate notes of wind, distance, and recoil so the shooter doesn't have to adjust a scope or calculate these many variables.
Holonodes: Small lit-up nodes 'float' in the air to create a three-dimensional effect. This is used in almost everything, including day-to-day items such as watches and basic info boxes.
Projection Fingers: A computer or TV will have several small IR cameras installed at the top to locate specific gestures created by the Projection Fingers, which is a glove with IR lights on the finger tips.
(If I'm boring you with tech, simply put: There are holograms, TVs controlled by your fingers, and better weapons.)
Slang:
The Snatch: The Seekers
Red Towns: Towns filled with riots and anarchy.
Yellow Towns: Towns fighting a silenter war. New York is a Yellow Town.
Green Town: Towns scared from Martial Law.
Green Haven: Wall Street
Red Haven: D.C., which is all but destroyed now.
The Circle of the Damned (Or just The Circle): Silicon Valley
Them: The Government

I'll start the RP in a bit.
Say, Nogond, where exactly does your character live? Is he still on the street, or in an apartment somewhere?
Re: [OOC] The Last Civil War
Look forward to your return.
