Redhurst Pines, Nevada 1911

Faust sat quietly at his desk, staring out into the streets. A small gust of wind collected a handful of dust and scattered it into the air. It seemed like any other day in Riddle, but he knew change was right around the corner. Gold fever was quickly spreading across the frontier, calling out to hundreds of people looking to get rich quick. He sighed and scratched his eye, then examined his pocket watch. It was high noon, and as he placed the watch back into his vest pocket, he realized his cushy job governing Riddle's four inhabitants was coming to a sudden end.

The sound of horse hooves echoed outside, causing Faust to lean forward and peer out his window. The newest resident of Riddle had arrived.
