A Scavenger

Description

Alex has short, greased black hair and since his is nearing his mid 40's some slicks of gray along the sides. He has a full, gruff moustache and beard that encircles his mouth and has gray hairs beginning to form everywhere. He has pale blue eyes that dart frantically at any unexpected sound. He stinks of oil and grease. Alex has a heavy bearskin coat worn over a brown wool shirt. He wears gray sweatpants that are obviously layered and tough leather boots that go up to his shins. There are stains from countless materials on his shirt and pants, also he has various oddly colored patches on his pants that have been doused in grease to attempt to change the coloring but has obviosly failed. Alex's hands have thousands of nicks and scratches and he has a pink scar from his left eye to his left nostril.

Personality

Alex has a morbid personality and a very dark sense of humor; frequently he is the only one laughing after he tells a "joke". He has a loud, bellowing laugh which makes people turn away because of his terrible breath. Alex stinks (oil) and has food inbetween his few teeth. He has a gummy smile, for he is missing six teeth. He has few friends and no wife or kids, and would prefer to travel alone, but Alex is no fool so he often tags along with other traveling parties. He tends to keep to himself.... most of the time.

Equipment

Alex has a big heavy backpack with a flint and tinder, 2 sleeping bags, some rations, a rusty cooking pan, a gas mask, a sack for shells, and a small faded picture of a young woman and an infant with a note on the back which has obviously been outlined several times in an attempt to preserve it. But when anyone attempts to look at the note or picture, Alex turns away fast and scolds them. He uses an AK-47 with several ticks on the wooden grip of the gun, if you could call it wooden, it has so many grease stains it hardly looks like wood anymore. Alex also has a long, extremely sharp hunting knife which he keeps in a pocket in his right boot.

No one knows, and he keeps it to himself.
