A veteran warrior, a man of honor, his soul is beginning to be stained by the evil within his weapon; while he is still a honorable man, his weapon has granted him immortality (immunity to aging) that is continued by the killing of others.
Solom is a veteran of countless conflicts across the stage of history; somehow, he has maintained his idealistic nature throughout this. He is a firm believer in fighting for the right causes; he does not fight for money and he will fight no matter the odds. He is a deep believer in the concept of honor, and very rarely strays from it. However, if the cause calls for it, he is willing to do dishonorable actions for what he believes is the greater good. He has a deep, deep, deep hatred for slavery in any shape and form; he does everything in his power to destroy those who own slaves. He believes deeply in liberty for the common man and various other noble ideals, and is quite willing to kill to advance his ideals. Besides slavery, he has a hatred for aristocracy, monarchy, and generally any form of government from the Middle ages and earlier; he is a deep follower of politics, and always attempts to keep in touch with the going-ons in the world. He also, notably and hypocritically, has a hatred for those of the other world, with a few exceptions; he hates Demons of lust, especially, believing they corrupt good men into wild animals, and greed, believing they cause the lion share of suffering in the world.
When dealing with individuals, he is cordial and kind, and somewhat reserved. When he makes a close friend, he is quite kind, showering hugs upon his closest brothers-in-arms. When in combat with others, he does his best to lead by example, hoping to provide inspiration to his troops through his actions on the battlefield. He is not afraid to speak out against things he view as wrong. He has no interest in a romantic relationship whatsoever.

Now, we turn to his great-sword, which he calls the Liberator.
The Liberator is a massive great sword; on its blade, there is an inscription of characters; the same unknown characters tattooed on his thigh, a Demon resides within the blade; the inscription is the Demon's name, unpronounceable by humans. We will turn to focus on the Demon.
The Demon is a Demon of battle, or at-least that was an accurate title when Solom first summoned her into the blade. She has a constant influence on the wielder of her blade; Solom refers to her as "Grace" when someone of great knowledge asks about the Demon. The Demon grants Solom immortality (Not aging), on the condition that the wielder of the blade must kill to maintain it; Solom had no wish to do so, but a constant assault of Grace's whispers into his mind quickly changed his decision. The Demon absorbs the soul of those the blade kills, absorbing it into her essence, making her stronger; and with each kill, the Demon furthers her control over Solom; in the modern times, she has all but complete control of his thoughts, actions, and even his physical form. For the most part, she forces Solom to sate her thirst for souls, but for the most part leaves him alone, talking to him in his head in a rather coridal manner. This brings up another manner; 'Grace', when summoned into the blade originally, was simply a manifestation of blood-lust; she wanted blood, and nothing more. But as the Demon shaped Solom's thoughts and actions, so too did Solom's ethics and ideas of morality affect her; she has never forced him to kill an innocent, and instead she came to agree with Solom's ideals, just making Solom far more willing to kill for them. The Demon can, if she wishes, take control of Solom's body, and even twist the form to whatever she desires; she usually, when some subtly is expected, takes the appearance of a dark haired woman; when in control, she is capable of putting some influence on those around her. When she does not wish for subtely, and instead wishes to put the fear of the underworld into those around her, she takes the form of a demon of generic appearance; goat hooves and all that. In all her influence over Solom, she has made sure to make him has a positive opinion of her; infact, Solom almost has affection for her, and she does indeed feel some back.
The blade itself does not weigh very much due to its magical properties. It has a tally of all those killed by it on the hilt; it is a strong blade, capable of cutting through most armor.
Solom was born to an unknown nation a long time ago. He was born a warrior slave, in a highly aristocratic society. He has forgotten many details of the period; the last thing he remembers is when he began to plan a slave revolt. He knew he was a veteran of many campaigns by then, and had decided that he, and his compatriots, would be slaves no longer. A shaman, feigning sympathy and hoping to destroy the Rebellion from within, told them of a way to succeed in this otherwise hopeless revolt. He told them of a great spirit of old, an angel who ruled over the afterlife of warriors; he told them of how to summon her, into Solom's great-sword. He lied to them of the spirit's nature; he hoped that Solom would be driven into blood rage, strike down many of his compatriots, and then be put down by his fellows; the commotion would almost certainly expose the Rebellion. Solom trusted the shaman, so he began the rites. He put the blood of an already fallen enemy over the blade, and attempted to chant the name of the demon as instructed; he was disturbed, as in his chanting, he began to pronounce an unpronounceable word, through no control of his own; he felt a great surge of power, and with a flash the Demon appeared before him. She appeared as a dark-haired woman, surging with rage and almost hauntingly beautiful. Solom shuddered as he made eye contact with the Demon; their willpower began to clash. Solom knew he would need to overpower the Demon to force her into the blade, and he tried his very hardest; he felt as if he had pushed the demon into the blade through sheer willpower... then she pushed back. Within a moment, Solom fell to his knees, and began to bow at the Demon's feet, continuing to chant her name as his eyes rolled back into his head, turning from mere chanting into full worship; for most, the next step would be complete thralldom to the Demon, but the Demon of Battle decided that Solom, as great a warrior as he is, should be allowed some amount of free will. She told him of the Shaman's treachery, lighting patting him on the head as he continued to worship her without any control. After telling him what he needed to know, she released him; Solom rose to his feet in an instant. He was alarmed at how good it felt to be overpowered, and he took this as his first lesson; Demons can and will use everything they can, even your own sensation, against you. The demon began to put her whispers into his head, and Solom found it impossible to distinguish his thoughts from her's; he knew it was too late to escape. With a flash, the Demon vanished into the blade, her true name engraved into it, and Solom shuddered as he blacked out. When he awoken, he awoke to find dozens of bodies at his feet; well over 50 tally marks had engraved itself to the hilt of the blade; he saw the body of shaman, the body of his master, and then realized with a mixture of horror and awe at what he had done; he had won! His compatriots stood to his side; they knew what had occurred. Solom, after seeing his victory, left without a word to anyone. He wasn't himself anymore. He went into the wild; it was a decade later he realized his immortality.
Solom, deciding a life of isolation was not for him, went to particapte in every war he could, fighting for what he believed to be right. He went around the world, learning countless languages and learning as much as he could from each culture; with the knowledge of the world at his fingertips, he developed his own code of ethics and honor; he wrote countless texts on his ideals. He learned everything he could; theology, literature, military and political texts all read and learned in the painful time between battles. His morals began to have an effect on his Demon, which he referred to now as a Patron, and the Demon became a bit more honorable through it, for as the Demon controls and influences Solom, so does Solom influence the Demon bonded to him. As Solom and the Demon reached a consensus, the Demon made Solom do another ritual; Solom created a mixture of blood and ink, and dipped his demon sword into it; this caused the ink to change, and the Demon guided Solom into tattooing something onto himself; the Demon's name. As soon as the ink dried, which it did instantly, any hope for Solom's salvation ended; with the mark of the blood-ink, Solom pledged his soul to the Demon for all entirety. He continued his life as well as he could after this, forever carrying 'Grace' with him, in life and death.
