Alfred followed Jaeda into the bar. His eyes bouncing from one person to another. They stopped on Sanina. That was who they were coming to meet? Alfred had been told about his transfer from the werewolf sector to the vampire side of things. He was interested to see what the evening would have in store.

He wore his usual, with the addition of a metal ring on the collar of his shirt. He guessed it may help defend against vampire neck bites. Vampires always went for the neck-bite, right? He came to the table behind Jaeda, but didn't say anything. He'd let her do the talking for now.

Alfred took a seat next to Jaeda, and sat straight against his seat. He had never had a problem separating his fighting instincts and his manners. No one had ever seen him fight, and no one knew to call him a barbarian or any other name. He placed his hands on his lap after he sat.

"I suppose so." He chuckled lightly, smiling. He crossed a leg, and folded his hands together. It seemed like all they would do is talk for now. He hoped things wouldn't turn sour.

Alfred sat and listened. He had been taking in all of Sanina's words, and gestures. He'd also been paying plenty of attention to what Jaeda had been saying. Werewolves were more of a heated argument, some shouting, and then a fight. Vampires were obviously a different deal.

Sanina seemed calculating, and always ready to strike. He felt like she'd cut their heads off and eat them at any chance she got. Vampires did that, right? Jaeda had told him the basic differences, but not everything had been revealed.

Alfred had kept his hands in his lap the whole time, and it would be barely noticeable if he moved his right hand to the hilt of his katana. It would look as if his arm was relaxing, even. He remembered chuckling when she told him what the signal would be. He had compared it to footsie in the face of danger.

Alfred had remained silent the whole time. He had asked Jaeda to do all of the talking when they were outside. He had only tangled with a vampire once or twice when they went after his werewolf targets.

He'd been spending his days in a small village out in the woods, and had only seen vampire atrocities on the lesser scale. It was rather un-nerving to see the photos that Jaeda had shown him. It would take a little while to get used to this kind of stuff.

Alfred stepped out of the shadows, "Greetings, leech." He chuckled, standing beneath the light of an overhead light. His katana hung at his side, and the daggers on his chest holster glimmered in the light. "I am Alfred Bentley, vampire hunter." He bowed lightly. He wasn't too sure how exactly to go about this whole thing. Vampires were radically different than werewolves. At least that's what his partner, who was out on a mission of her own, had told him.

He placed a hand on the hilt of his katana, and raised an eyebrow. What was she going to do? Run? Attack him? Scream? He'd rush her and chop of her head if she did any of those. Alfred had obviously never fought a vampire, and was unaware of their speed. Werewolves tended to under-estimate Alfred's speed, but Vampires always ran fast. Really fast.

Alfred gripped the katana when she moved her arms. He loosened it when she had just crossed her arms. She didn't get his leech comment right away. Wasn't that an insult to them? She didn't appear very insulted.

"Is it not?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. He was honestly confused by that comment. He had though all vampires were blood thirsty monsters that kidnapped children and ate virgins. That was obviously a hyperbole, but he knew they were pretty bad. She called him darling. Was that endearment, or was she secretly weeding her way into his brain.

He had heard that vampires could control people's brains.

Alfred's katana was named Yasuo. It had been forged for him a by an old friend taken by a werewolf. She didn't really seem all to dangerous. Her file didn't say she'd done much, but the files for the other vampires were rather blank also. Most of the blank files were the mass murderers that killed all of the witnesses.

"No, I'm here to, uh, kill you." He wasn't even entirely sure how to kill a vampire. Jaeda had neglected to tell him that. He was just going to cut her head off it came down to it. That normally did it for supernaturals. He kept his hand on his katan, and the other hung loosely at his side. He could reach up quickly though, and send a knife into her leg if he needed to slow her down.

Alfred knelt down and picked up some of the sand in his hand. The sun had just set a moment ago, and the sands were cooling down.

"These vampires go a long way to get away from us, huh?" He asked, standing back up. He glanced back at her, and then off into the desert, "Where are they even going to run? It's pretty much flat desert."

Alfred closed his eyes, and he could almost still see the brightness through his eye-lids. When he opened them, he still had to blink a few times to fully see. He turned back to her, "So, I'm going to go find them, and you're going to shoot them?" He asked, seeing the rifle in her hands.

Alfred had a little trouble finding a footing on the smaller dune, but when he got over it he could see the small group of vampires having fallen in the sands. "Well, look what we have here, some bed-robbers trying to dump their meal." He said, placing his hand on his knife-belt that hung around his arm.

If they started to move more, he'd send the knives at them. Hopefully that'd do some good. If not, he always had his sword.

Alfred nodded, "Yeah, down there." He said, pointing at them. After years of chasing werewolves in the dark and the forest, he'd grown accustomed to seeing even the slightest movements. Why they'd transferred him to vampires was unknown to him. He much preferred his old job.

When the two women hissed, he quickly snatched tow knives from his belt and hurled them at their faces. He reached up and threw a third one at the man. His knife throwing skills were almost dead on, but vampires were normally fast enough to dodge if they had their wits about them.

Alfred grabbed another two knives, and hurled them at the remaining duo. He guessed that the women were no more than followers, and the blessed knives would dispatch them easily if they hit. At least that's what the manual had said. The manual had been wrong before though. He'd chop of the girl's head for insurance after he'd finished with the remaining two.

"How cute, saving your girlfriend." He said, under his breath.

Alfred drew his katana, and the blade shimmered in the moonlight. His father had once told him the legend of this sword. He couldn't remember it off the top of his head, but he had it written down somewhere.

He took a step towards the two, and then slid a little down the dune, "Because you're no better than a leech, and I'm here to put a stop to your parasitic joy-ride." He said, grinning a little. Alfred never showed much facial expression unless he was taunting someone or threatening them.

Alfred let himself slide the rest of the way down the dune, and brandished his sword. "Sure, my people may use the things on the earth for resources, but I have chosen a different path. I'm not with them." He said, turning the blade to reflect moonlight on his face. It illuminated it in a rather intimidating way.

"Honestly though, I don't care what you have to say, I don't need to justify myself to you. You're the one about to be dead." With that, he took several quick steps forward towards the two vampires, ready to attack.

Alfred tuned out everything that was said, and narrowed his eyes at the vampire. He breathed in slowly, and then let out a very quiet breath. His brows furrowed, and he charged forward. He put on the facade of a senseless charge, but really he was prepared to dodge or put his sword up for anything at the moment.

His partner/mentor, Jaeda, had mentioned vampires being fast. Werewolves were sometimes even faster than vampires, and he'd been fighting them his whole life. He could probably keep up with this one.

Alfred went for the girl, killing her as he sliced her head clean off of her body. He seemed to pause, and then he turned to send three knives at Lucian's face. He knew that the vampire would mist up again to dodge them, and he quickly pushed off of the ground and sent himself at the vampire. Assuming the vampire had to dissolve his head, he would possibly have no power of sight momentarily and therefore may be unable to block the quick slice to the midsection. Of course, that was all in theory.

Alfred rolled to a safe distance, and turned back around. He turned the katana slightly, and watched the vampire. "How am I doing?" He called up to Jaeda. He'd never been in a real fight with a vampire. Well, he had once a while back, but that one hadn't turned out so well.

He rose to a standing position and held the katana at his side. He hadn't let his guard down though, he had just put on another facade of un-readiness. Werewolves were suckers for those kinds of tricks, and he knew that a fighter's natural instincts would prompt them to jump at an easy attack.

Alfred easily leaped to avoid it, and stumbled a little on the dune. It was hard to keep his footing on the dunes. He caught himself a little, and rolled down to a safer spot. He had looked a little stupid while doing it, but kept his guard up the whole time.

"It's not that I'm looking for praise, I'm a student and I need to know where I mess up so that when I'm done with you I can do better on someone else." He said, grinning a little.

Alfred watched him, and held the sword in a ready position. He didn't say anything, just kept his eyes on Lucian. He took a quick step forward, and then drew his weapon and fired. Hopefully it looked like he was about to slice at the vampire and then instead of a sword to the midsection, it would be a bullet to the face.

His bullets were blessed, and dipped in holy water. Pretty much the whole nine yards.
