"Thank you," Accepting the chocolate with that closed mouth smile, Zosimos stared deep into Mac's eyes. He had forgotten what curious creatures humans were. They were generous where his kind couldn't be.
"This way, to civilization," He gestured, turning his back to take a bite of the chocolate so his new acquaintance wouldn't see his subtle fangs and marching forth into the confused bramble maze of the grove.
It was true many had perished here in the Grove of Aurora; there were corpses every now and again in different circumstances that they passed along the way. None of them smelled like anything Zosimos would ever dip into, so he mostly ignored them. Dead bodies weren't a new sight to Zosimos-especially around here.
As they were disappearing into the shadows, Zosimos heard
footsteps behind them entering the grove.
Another poor soul, wandering into this thicket and becoming lost only to wander to their death, no doubt. Normally this would amuse the old vampire greatly. However, he had met with a human today and been shown something not seen in a very long time. A stroke of that contagious generosity struck Zosimos as he passed under the skeleton of a hanged man.
Snap! Zosimos reclaimed the foot, and placed it on the path in the direction of where they were going. He allowed himself a momentary chuckle at the morbid hint.
Zosimos was all too eager to see what exactly his kin had gotten up to in his absence- if anything at all. He headed straight for Castle Vankoryth, the old hub of activity for the beings he once knew.
