Personality

Silva is generally a rough natured kind of guy who has a strong sense of refinement around him. He knows what he wants/needs, and is prepared to take whatever actions are necessary to get it/achieve his goals. He believes actions talk louder than words, although when he needs to, he can hold himself back. He always took his missions seriously back in the day, but because of emotional scars and betrayals, he has a negative view of the world and others. He trusts no one but Reno (to a degree), and while he doesn't act hostile towards others (mostly), his past has destroyed his social life. He mostly ignores everyone unless they pertain to his goal or are in his way, but can hold a decent enough conversation with those who he respects. Silva sometimes will show a small piece of his original personality. When teaming up wit others, it's a short termed alliance. And if the ally(s) get in his way, slows him down, show a hint of betrayal, if he thinks they'll bee a hindrance to him later, he'll kill them. To relax, he usually either finds a place to sleep or goes to a bar.

Equipment

Silva carries the ROSETTA set; a pair of advanced guns in the form of regular guns. They actually are just modified guns with special ammunition. They use high - impact, explosive rounds with higher penetration. He carries a limited amount of bullets in pouches of his belt. He has a thin piece of body armor under his red coat, and holds his needle and 3 vials serums in a leg band. He also carries 2 frags/semtexs (depends, but for now he'll be using just frags), 4 stuns & stuns, and 1 smoke in different pouches on his belt.

History

Darren Mason AKA Silva, was a member of a generally low ranked squadron in the army, " Squadron - B(eta)". They were a newly formed group that was in its testing phase. The whole purpose of the group was to see how long a group of low standard soldiers were able to stand extreme combat situations. Darren and 3 others were almost ready to break after a short period of time of long, rigorous noises, simulations, sparring, and courses. Darren was the weakest one, and so he was the one most affected by the soldier (who was also their unofficial leader), James Defoux. He was the strongest out of all of them, and got them through the bad, worse, and plain hell of the whole experience. And even when they were deemed failures and were sent on suicide missions (they were allowed to call for help, and help would come if possible), they all followed him and he made bonds with them. He became like a big brother to Darren, and and both were pleased when they got the name "Brothers of Anarchy - Silva and Rebel" for surviving the missions in one piece (named after 2 famous fighters in this worlds history). Respect came from all around eventually, and Darren seemingly made friends with the head honcho of the program, Alaster Jones. That would all change however, on the mission to Cosmopolitan City during the Third World War. They were to infiltrate the city undetected, get into a hidden facility, and find blueprints for a mass weapon of some sort, and liberate them. Little did they know however, that he suicide part of this mission was that it was already too late to stop the weapon from self destructing. Darren and the other 2 didn't suspect anything, but Defoux did. However, he didn't act on that suspicion, and that was what mutated him. When they were close to their objective, Darren finally figured it out and ordered them to leave the facility. Outside, the squadron ran for the nearest transportation, but the "Blue Rinse" had already detonated.
It was 3 months before Darren awoke from his coma inside the base of his employers. When informed of the situation, he was devastated when he heard Barret and Joey were KIA, and Defoux was MIA. He was assigned quickly to another squadron, Squadron - E(lite), and went through a 2nd hell of training and missions. After 3 years, Darren caught wind of a rising threat who went by "Xeno", and he was attacking the hidden bases of the underground army he was in. The death count was hefty, and so finally, Squadron - E was sent in to handle the problem. Unfortunately, the problem came to them in a ambush, and it killed all his comrades. Darren was shocked to find out it was Defoux, who now had mutated powers. At first he was confused, but Darren replaced that with rage, and he fought Defoux. Defoux tried to explain the situation, saying he was getting revenge for all that happened to them that time. He revealed the intention of his employers and when Darren wouldn't listen, said he would kill him if he stood in his way. Defoux then fought seriously, and easily beat Darren. When he taunted Darren on the ground, Darren quickly used his last ounce of strength to pull the pin of a frag and throw it weakly at Defoux, who laughed and easily dodged it. Only it was then did he realize that the damaged Jeep with smoke was Darrens real target. The explosion killed Defoux, and infected Darren with some of Defouxs mutated blood. This caused hidden mutated cells to activate and react violently to the new mutant cells. Back at base, Darren was given a explanation of how his body was slowly degenerating due to loss in matter (his disease), and that he would need to be treated quick. During that time, Darren experienced frequent flashes of pain and vertigo, along with shortness of breath and hallucinations. It was then that the employers decided that he was a lost cause and needed to be dealt with immediately. So, Darren was called to Alasters office and explained he was to be court martialed for the murder of their squad leader, James Defoux. It was then that Darren realized what Defoux said was true. Also, that Alaster was behind the whole thing, and that he would probably be killed in the next few hours. So, he did the only thing he could do; run. he survived for a few weeks on the run, leaving no trail for Alaster to follow. Finally, he succumbed to his disease and fainted, where a woman in disguise was the last thing in his memory. He woke up in a secret underground base and met a group of scientests run by Reno, the woman who saved him. She heard about his predicament and made him a deal; she would help deal with his disease if he did some work for them. He agreed, and for the next 2 years that was what he did. In return for his services, Reno supplied him with serum that would slow down the process down and stop his attacks for a while. After that, he went back on the run, now finding out he had one of the worlds highest bounties on his head and people were calling him. After a couple of years, he caught wind of New Cosmopolitan City, a place for refugees and rebels. He decided to go there and see what would happen...
