Dasaliz Rauta's Story

Ariston would find that the flat item he was given had several thin lines within it, and a place that was perfectly the shape for a human thumb to rest. Had he placed his thumb upon it, a pillar of sapphire light would shoot upward from the surface, around the thumb, and stop at the ceiling. A static-filled, but powerful woman's voice would filter through the device, distorting the light with every word spoken.

"Ah, you must be Ariston. Is there a title that you go by in your language?"

Ariston watched eagerly as the device came to life in his hand. He looked up at the pillar of light as the woman spoke. Every moment was being recorded by the Magus' for later review.
"I am." Said the man plainly. "My designation is Magus, or Commander. And to whom am I speaking with?"

Ariston felt genuine interest rise up in him for the first time since landing planet side. What could be the purpose of this clandestine meeting? He listened intently for the woman's response.

"Very well, Magus. For now, you can simply regard me as the messenger with no name. I trust you have learned about our civil war. The very reason that Zanzaria's mayor was wary about letting you roam freely?" There was a small pause, a creak, then, "I say this on behalf of the Nazuan Rebellion: if you do decide to take hostile actions against any Supremacists, we will give you our support. Fully. If we win this war your access to the planet will be nearly unlimited. I believe that is favorable to your interests, is it not?"

Neither do I. I could say what brought me here but a strange feeling. Did something lead you here as well?
