Lock wasted no time in taking her hand and yet he did not place a kiss on it but instead pulled her into him to embrace the woman that was to be his mate. The Dark held her tightly for a moment, having missed her every second they were apart. Not that he would admit to such things but it was the truth about how he felt.

Releasing her only slightly from his arms, Lock took up her chin and tilted her lovely face so that they would meet gazes with each other. His smile became a little more noticeable.

"How have you been, Grape," he smooth voice said before he leaned in and pressed a kiss to her temple softly. There was another form coming up behind them and it was definitely female; Key.

"Graaaaaaaaape!"

It left Dusk and Dawn in bewilderment at what was going on. Dusk just stood there silently watching and Dawn was reveling in the romance of the moment with big eyes and clasped hands.

The Light poked her head out from behind a tree and then gave her new, curly, hair a good shake. Dawn had shifted her appearance to fit even more with the denizens of Wing City. It was so difficult to adjust to all their intricacies and diversity. One moment the Light would reflect some ditzy looking girl and then, now, she was a blond bombshell of a “Terran”.

The woman dug into her purse and pulled out pink lipstick and a mirror. Dawn applied the soft colored makeup on her lips, pressed her lips together, and then tucked it all away. Now that she was perfect it was time to act like a true Terran woman!

She began to stroll away from the gardens but stopped after seeing a lone, beautiful, flower. Delight riddled along the woman’s face and Dawn crouched low to look at it more closely. She reached a hand back and tried to lift up her slacks to cover the minor amount of her rear that had fallen out.

“I love flowers,” Dawn said with a smile while looking over at Bamboo. She wasn’t alarmed that another person had just showed up or spoke to her randomly on the streets. She too noticed the familiar scent of their people and wasn’t frightened.

“And I would love to go see where they sell them. They are very pretty flowers but I don’t want to pick them or they will just die. I rather them be here so that everyone can enjoy them,” Dawn said with a little laugh and a shake of her curly hair.

Standing, the Erutin reached behind herself and pulled her pants back up. It was getting a little breezy back there and this form didn’t have hair to keep it warm. Human forms were such a hassle but a necessity.

“You are most welcome,” the Light said pleasantly,” My name is Dawn. What’s yours?” This female must have been a Dark. They were always drawn to Dawn and flocked around her all attempting to court her.

“And I am excited to meet the florist. I love magicians,” Dawn said brightly and with her excitement showing radiantly. She almost forgot that her body reflected an older woman in her late twenties. It was very difficult for Dawn to act the way that she looked.

“A family name? Browne. Dusty and Dawn Browne. He’s my dark, Dusk. But he usually announces himself as Dusty so that the name isn’t too odd for humans,” Dawn said, proud that her name was a common human name too.

“So if you live near all the politicians, you must be someone that was important to the Empire, huh,” Dawn asked while folding her hands together, walking next to Bamboo with an easy stride.

“I was a duchess before it crumbled, along with my littermate Key. We are related to Wing and she’s our aunt. We’ve never gotten to meet her though which is sad. I bet she was a nice lady.”

"Oh, I see!" Dawn giggled at the thought of the Empress raging around in a tantrum over silly things. It must have been an amusing sight.

"So, liaison for the Erutin Empire here on Terra. That's a nice job to have. And Leaf, I like that name just like I adore Bamboo. Those are very good names," the light complimented with a bright smile. Dawn liked this dark. She was very nice and very polite. Not to mention Bamboo was also very pretty in her chosen form. Her natural form must have been striking!

Dawn found herself blushing slightly and she fiddled with her hands for a moment while turning her face away to hide the pink on her cheeks. "Th-thank you, Bamboo. I appreciate the compliment." Ducking into the shop, Dawn's eyes went wide with pleasure. So many beautiful flowers! She gasped and then clasped her hands at her chest while bouncing on the balls of her heels slightly, making her blond hair bounce around her face.

"We're looking for flowers!"

There came a small gasp as the man placed the exact same flower in front of Dawn and there was more than one! Her eyes lit up brilliantly and the Light was more than pleased. "Yes! That is the exact one. You're really good at your job," Dawn complimented while picking up the potted plant and holding it against her chest.

A woman walked into the bar with a small smile on her face. She had gotten away from her twin which wasn’t easy to do after coming home with a plant bought from another dark. Her golden curls bounced with each step that she took while Dawn rummaged through her purse.

Her foot caught the edge of the bar counter and Dawn went stumbling a fair distance with a small, girlish, yelp. After she caught her balance, there was a faint snap and Dawn looked down.

“Oh no,” she whined while removing her high heel. It had broken.
