Horse half is not pink, but is brown.
Personality
Esperanza is a wild, but adoreable child who finds it hard to trust people, having been badly treated by humans. But despite her fear, when she needs food, she will brave human kind to get what her tiny self needs. She has only been alone for a year, and can speak little english.
History
Esperanza was taken from her mother as a young foal babe, and sold to a farmer. She was abused, and not taught to speak for fear with intelligence would come rebellion. But being a brave little girl earned her her freedom, and on one night she escaped through the fence of her enclosure, running and running, as she always has been.
So begins...
Esperanza's Story
Esperanza was stuck deep in the dream, of the one place she never wanted to return to in reality, but seemed dragged to more often then not in her dreams. ¨Farmer stop, horsie friend! Not use boom stick, horsie get better, promise!¨ she pleaded, murmering whinnies feverishly..
Esperanza didn't need waking, as the gun went off in her mind, she jerked awake, looking around quickly, before reaching her pale little arms up to Illisius with a cry. ¨Daddy, daddy!¨ She said, not having Bun Bun to hold...
Esperanza kept Bun Bun safe from being squished as she was hugged, listening to all the soothing words, the music, and the feeling the warm cuddles and hug... ¨Bad bad...¨ she said, taking deep breathes, familiar scents were also calming for her... ¨Farmer bad...¨ she spoke quietly, looking up at Illisius while she pet Bun Bun. ¨Sleep sleep...¨ She pointed up, maybe the big soft bed would help her sleep, and maybe not dream for a night.
Esperanza always felt so safe in her Daddy's arms. He was so strong, she didn't worry about being dropped for a split second. ¨Bun bun. Sleep?¨ she asked, nose nuzzling the cute creature, eye lids already drooping again.
Esperanza cuddled into the matress, holding Bun Bun carefully as she fell asleep, warm and happy again, and peacefully this time.
Esperanza was making her way down the stairs as Illisius came in, and doing her best not to hurry and risk tuimbling down the steps, she held onto the banister tighter, trying just a little bit harder to get down the steps. "Daddy! Nap!" she called, spotting her friend there as well!
Esperanza held onto Illisius as he carried her, hooves curlig up under her as she was still unused to the action. She listened to Atraeus like he was telling her a story more then he was what had happened since she had fallen asleep. Didn't he sleep...? She was once again without any of her clothes, just a red blanket wrapped around her shoulders. "Day.... good." she said, reaching for one of Illisius' hands to feel her face, it wasn't hot anymore, she felt just fine!
Esperanza giggled, settling on the couch as best as she could as she reached for the clothes, beginning to look through all the shirts. She had never been allowed to touch so many clothes before! She finally settled on another blue sweater, this one wasn't so fuzzy, and it had a picture of an apple on it! "Daddy... drink?" she asked, she always looked hesitant, as if she till wasn't entirely sure that this would last.
Esperanza appeared in the bar once more, the little girl sitting there look dazed, and afraid. Someone could take her away from the bar so easily, on a whim like that...? The woman hadn't been entirely mean... she even gave her a pretty necklace too! But she was still scared, that she could be taken away like that. Timidly she trotted back over to her couch, climbed up, and laid down with a small whimper.
Esperanza looked over at him, the puffy sleeves of the white dress that had been put on her made her stop, and tug on them. She hated this thing, this 'dress'. How could girls wear this things! She reached out to Astraeus again, it was clear, she was afraid, and just wanted someone to be there for her, and thank goodness he was.
Esperanza grabbed ont, hugging him and almost instantly feeling comforted... and safe. ¨Scarrry... Lady. Take... Esperanza.¨ she tried to explain, starting to shiver as she was losing her recollection of the incident more and more, and the funny tasting drink she had made her drink before sending her back.
Esperanza shook her head, just holding on. ¨Lady... necklace.¨ she finally murmered, after a few moments, leaning back to show him the red crystal heart necklace. ¨Not... off.¨ she said. turning it round and round, there was no clasp in sight. And the woman had said 'it can't be taken off by anyone but me...'
Esperanza tried to remember what she said, and to repeat it, as best she could. ¨Thee own lee wa... way it c...caa... can bee taken offf, iz if... if myyy head iz c..cutt offf.¨ she said, struggling with the phrase completely, but getting it out nonetheless. ¨Esperanza... scaried.¨
Esperanza pouted when his ears dropped, and reached a tiny hand up to pet on. ¨No... sad, kay?¨ she said, trying not to fidget with the dress anymore. She then did what most little kids were good at, she cuddle him, giving him the biggest hug she could with her small arms. The centaur was good at that, and she didn't mind hugging, now that she had someone to hug.
Esperanza cuddled him a little more, before she leaned back again. ¨Oki~ Umm.. hungry.¨ she said, patting her belly, as she had seen others do before when they said that. She didn't fiddle with the dress anymore, though it was clear she was still uncomfortable when she slid off the couch, and the hem of the dress rubbed against the back of her horse half.
Esperanza perked up, she didn't reach out, she would only take food as it was offered to her. ¨Mhm!¨ Not that it was anything stereotypical, she just liked apples alot. ¨Pl... Pleeeease!¨
Esperanza immediately bit into one, but upon seeing him wiggle his ears she started to laugh, he moved them alot, just like she could move hers. She took a bite, and while she was chewing, she wiggled her pointed ears back at him. Her right front hoof pawed at the ground as she munched, she was more used to being on her feet then sitting or laying about...
Esperanza wanted to move, for she had been forced to sit still at that ladys place. If he looked closely in the better light he might even see a little bit of glitter and very light makeup applied to her face. She had been pampered completely, people often did dote on children.. ¨Always.¨ she replied, before looking up at him. ¨Want... run. Can?¨ she asked, not wanting to just run off around the bar, and leave him without asking.
Esperanza pouted slightly, she wanted to get some expercise, she felt... lazy! She fiddled with the red crystal heart necklace a little, before she felt something land on her back, and dropped it... ¨Huh...? Bun Bun!¨ she cried, reaching back for the rabbit with a smile on her face. The child looked healthy, and almost like she could belong in a higher class family for the value of the items on her, how her face was done up, even her hair seemed to be lightly curled.
Esperanza looked up as Illisius entered, blinking as Bun Bun started to do something that sounded weird. Clicks, but what from...? It was perhaps better she didn't see what the rabbit had... ¨Daddy!¨ she chimed, waving at him. She hoped he wasn't upset she had been gone, she hadn't been able to control it, really. ¨Lady... take.¨¨she said, to asnwer his question.
