Into Gambit's bar for the third or fourth time came Farai. The youth wore a long black duster with unbuckled buckles at the neck and silver buttons all the way down. Around their ears was a large set of headphones, keeping down the black bangs that slid over their eyes.

They sat themself down onto a chair and kicked their feet, dressed with black sneakers that brushed the ground. They looked over at the amount of confusion happening in the place and scratched their chin.

"Lets see...I hear sirens. Cops, alright. And that chick," began Farai, looking toward Sarissa, "...looks pretty hurt. Those two..." Farai continued, looking toward the couple, Connor and Alyssa, "Alright. So they're a couple. That blonde chick is drinkin'. That guy's speakin'." The youth nodded.

"Oh, there's a cop unconscious on th' floor. Glorious."

Farai tilted their head at Sarissa, then rose a hand to beckon her over with a twitch of their fingers. "I'm sure Gambit's got somethin', with the amount of violence that happens here. I'm no medic, but bandagin' don't take no rocket science to do, right?"

Farai slid their belly over the counter, looking under it on the bartender's side. They spotted a stack of first-aid kits. "Well, lookit here! I was right!" they said, reaching out for one and lifting it. They sat back into their seat and opened it.

"It's your lucky day. Might want to do to the hospital after, though. Can help you get there, if ye need it."

As they opened the white and red first-aid kit, the youth placed it on the counter, then slid from their stool to help up Sarissa, reaching out to take her arm gently.

"Aye. That's a pretty nasty wound, there. Gunshot? Aii." they said, trying to get her on a stool. There was enough blood to make the youth cringe just a bit.

"Here, sit there...ah! They got a bunch of bandages. Good, eh? Lets see..." The youth took out a roll and some gauze, then tried to clear some of the blood away from the wound. "We'll get this cleaned up..."

"Alright...lets see..." Farai was not good with wounds. The one time they'd had to deal with it extensively was when they'd been beaten to a pulp and thrown into an alley, where a vulture had found them a day later and began to peck on them, thinking they were dead. Unpleasant experience, really.

Rolling out the bandages, Farai began to work on her arm, applying it firmly, but carefully onto the wound. "Whatcha do t'deserve this, eh?"

Farai pulled at the bandages a bit more and tightened them. "For bein' an annoyed drunk? Heh! I don' suppose any of 'em were Ass-chins, now, were they? The other day I nearly got gunned down with this one-armed, and unarmed-" Farai paused to laugh at their own joke, "-friend of mine who were targeted by a nation leader for callin' her a couple o' names. Really, she started it, though."

Farai finished the bandaging, smiling. "There y'go! Might be able to make it to the hospital without bleeding out, now!"

The youth smiled. "Farai!" they announced cheerily, "Farai Black at your service. Call me either name- m'group calls me Black! Look the part enough, eh? Not that I'm goth or nothing. Just your local punk." The youth reached out a hand to pat her on the shoulder tentatively.

"Nice t'meetcha, Sarissa. That's some nice hair you got there. Bleached it?"

Farai's brows rose. "Really? White hair since you were little? Weird." they said, scratching the back of their neck.

"Hey...you alright still, yeah? That wound, there. I'm a bit concerned. I don't know much, so I'm hoping you know whats good enough for you!"

"House of healing? Miss, it's a hospital. It's several blocks away from here. I can take you there, make sure you don't get lost. WHats your say to it?" Farai asked, giving them a smile. "You look like you're not from around here. Your speech says that. Maybe you're one of those oddities I keep hearing about...and seeing. Probably not odd to you, though."

Coming out of Gambit's, the youth pushed their hands into their pockets and put one side of their headphones up to their ear, turning up the music. It was hardstyle techno, which dominated the space on the youth's iPod.

"I saw that cop on the ground. I suspect you did that to 'im, right? That means you've got to be a good fighter." The youth smirked. "Maybe after you've healed up a bit we could have a spar of some sort? Though...I'm going to be honest...my style of fighting is a bit unorthodox, even for a place like Wing City."

"Strange. Different. Most people cast fireballs or kick and punch or something like that, right?" they said to her. "Well...I do something similar. A mix, you could say. I dance."

Dancing. Because that was the best type of fighting ever.

"Don't you dare laugh."

Farai would make an entrance. The youth was reasonably good looking, whether it be a handsomeness or a prettiness, one could not be sure, but the punk was certain okay within that department. With bangs that extended over their eyes, a pair of large headphones, and a black duster with buckles at the neck, Farai certainly looked the punk part. Playing on the youth's iPod was hardstyle techno. It was loud enough to be heard several seats over.

Looking up, Farai caught sight of the well-dressed, if tired, Rick. "Aye, uh...you don't seem to be doin' much, but...you the tender tonight? Or issit...robots again? They don't make the best drinks, I'll admit."

"Fi?" asked Farai, taking up one of the touch-screen menu's and scrolling through its holographic interface. The punk frowned. "Huge selection...ah! But there ain't no one to celebrate with! Hardly anything worth gettin' drunk tonight without a buddy."

With a shake of the head, Farai sighed, then looked up to Rick. "Issat all you mostly do? Is sit there and read? Sounds awful bland t'me. I've seen some things go down in here, but not so much on a daily scale. Every other day, maybe, but otherwise it's just dull." null

"Oh?" said Farai, lips spreading into a wide grin. "Got a girl, eh? Wished I could get someone of m'own." the youth commented. "Gonna get 'er a present? What might you be thinking of?"

The youth may have been trying to pass the time, but simple curiosity was not left out with the reason for the questions.

"Oh!" cried the punk, realizing their mistake. "Shouldn't pry when I haven't even told you my own name. "Farai's the name. Farai Black. Call me either. Doesn't matter much to me which." They held out a hand.

"And...you're Rick."

Farai shook the man's hand firmly. "Nice meetin' you, then." said the youth, smiling. Leaning back into their chair, the punk sighed, reaching out to take the jewelry catalog. They looked it over. "Hm. What kind of girl is she? Likes big gaudy jewelry, or real small ones?" they asked, flipping pages.

"I might be able to help, if only a bit. I know enough, I'd like to think."

"Well, if she's got a bracelet already, you're not gonna get her another one." said Farai, as if it were startlingly obvious. Which it was. "You know what? Safe bet: necklaces. Always necklaces. Something simple and small. Can match with anythin'."

Rick might have noticed that Farai, too, was wearing a necklace, but it was one of those you'd often see surfer folk wearing. The rope and the shark tooth deal, though whatever was hanging off of it was hidden beneath the trench coat.

"Plus, if the chick is half reasonable, she'd appreciate the thought."

"Aye, that's a nice one." came a voice beside Rick. Beside him he would see a young punk youth, with extended bangs that hung into their eyes, wearing that same black trench coat with the buckles on the neck and the silver buttons all the way down.

"That might just work for your girl. She Irish?" they asked, hands in their pockets. "I mean, that's either a ticket to a shag or a slap if she's sensitive like tha'. I don't see you going for a girl like that, but what do I know, right?"

"Doing well is a bit of an understatement." said Farai, quite pleased with themself for whatever reason. "So you've gone through quite a bit, yeah? And if you're still together, a feat. How long it been? This for an anniversary?" the youth asked, looking towards Rick.

Seemed like a genuine, honest guy. Didn't get much like those here. Why, Farai almost seemed disappointed.

"Think you'll be gettin' it, then? It's not so gaudy and large. Somethin' I'd get a girl, for sure."

Farai watched him go, waiting at the window. The lad grinned. "Aye, tha's the way relationships go about now, eh? Don't even know her for a year. S'pose they've gone through a bit, really." the youth said to themself.

As they waited, they turned the music up upon their headphones. After a few seconds, the youth got bored, and fairly easily.

Passing the time, they shuffled.

As the door opened, Farai froze in place, right as they were kicking to the side. Their leg went down. "Aw, leaving so soon? Thought I might've been able to interest you in a drink or somefin' at Gambit's." they said, biting their lips.

"Alright, then. P'haps another time. Maybe when you ain't got a ton on your plate." The youth saluted, then began to trot the other way, Gambit's.
