History

Halo grew up in a loving family, full of truly extraordinary people. But it all came crashing to a halt, when they were killed for their hereditary talents, when Halo was just a teen, leaving him and his twin a s the only survivors. The man found a living afterwards selling himself, and soon ended up hooked to drugs.

Once an aspiring musician, the talented guitarist decided he refused to end up refuse, and instead began to deal drugs, rather than be just another user. This being his sole income, the 20 year old, remained addicted, and though he was good, and his market wide, he didn't spend the extra money he made, choosing to live in the slums still, despite his increase in financial situation.

What was the point of leaving after all? His philosophy had changed from a happy innocent, to that of life sucks and then you die.

So begins...

Halo Zhang snorted at Cashmere's actions. Lovely. Suits and suit business. "Hey, Lady. This isn't a suit social club. Let the man drink." Yeah, he didn't care whether he lived or died, and it showed.

"And nah, Mr. Suit. I doubt you know her. She looks like a suit chaser to me." Suits, suit chasers...They were all the same in the end. The man drank some more, leaving more in his bottle than Durrani had in his glass, if only just.

Halo Zhang flipped Cashmere off for ignoring him and shrugged at Durrani. "Yeah Mr. Suit. Whatever you say." Durrani huh? Interesting last name. Not a familiar one though. Halo hardly kept up with more than who the current president was. If that even. Nothing got in the way of his line of business. As long as he kept current with the offerings on the street, he was good.

"And I'm Zhang, if we're going by our last names here." He dug into his pockets and pulled out a needle with a full syringe. "If you stab Ms. Suit Chaser there with this, she'll have hallucinations and leave you alone. Last person I hit up with that was seeing talking unicorns and rainbows out the wazoo." For about a week actually. Halo sold strong stuff.

"I won't even charge for it. I don't mind suits too much, but suit chasers. Man."

Halo Zhang rolled his eyes. Now see, that was just being blatantly ignored. He had met less rude druggies. Far less rude druggies. That was saying something, considering how most of his customer base tended to act.

He pocketed the needles, double checking the security of its cap and nodded. "Eh, your choice Durrani." He shrugged. "She needs to loosen up anyway, and I doubt that's why she came to the bar." Suit chasers always had quadruple reasons for everything. "Hey Ms. Suit chaser? Wanna buy some paradise?" Or temporary insanity. He never mentioned who would be in paradise, now did he?

Halo Zhang shrugged and stood up, finishing off his beer in one swallow. "Eh. The guy I was hoping for never showed. I'm outta here Mr. Suit. See you another time." With that Halo took his exit, clearly bored. As he got to the door once more, he began to shake. soon he'd need another needle. Another hit. Ah well.

Such was life.

Halo Zhang stumbled into the bar shivering from the cold, despite his heavy winter coat. This was ridiculous. Christmas and no family or friends to spend it with. Between that and the sheer force of longing he felt for the sweet Bliss he was used to, he hated the holidays.

The man shook himself, dislodging some flakes of snow and sat under a heating vent pulling a chair from a table to do so. He didn't care how odd it looked. He was too thin to survive the cold.

Halo Zhang decided he was warm enough, made to remove his heavy coat then pulled it back on before he even gets the sleeves past his shoulder. Cold! It was cold! He hated the cold so much.

Surely he was meant for the southern hemisphere, right around the equator. He heard equators were warm places.

Halo Zhang sighed and moved to the counter, feeling warmed enough to actually order coherently now. "Rum and coke." Her mumbled, not quite that warm yet. He wanted to go back to sitting under the heater.

Halo Zhang looked to Romeo and raised an eyebrow. "Spanish? What are you doing on Terra, of all places?" Odd that, but he wasn't that surprised. It took all types, and this was a spaceport town. That meant any and everyoen showed up here.

"'m Halo." He tried to think of something else to say. "It's cold."

Halo Zhang shrugged, and smiled weakly. "I don't hear much spanish here. Lots of common, not much spanish." He shivered slightly and rubbed his hands together. Maybe he should have just ordered hot chocolate or another warm drink.

"Just tryign to make conversation."

Halo Zhang shrugged. "Guess I don't see your cousin then. I don't get out much, especially not in winter. Get cold too easily." Mexico. That was supposed to be a nice warm country, full of potential for-

No.

He was done with that lifestyle. Agitatedly, the former dealer began to play with a napkin, shredding it into small pieces without paying any attention.

Halo Zhang smiled slightly. "That's excuse enough. Go where the work is. I need a new job myself. Living off of some funds I managed to save up, so I'm good for awhile, but that won't last forever."

It would last a good long while, considering Halo's inexpensive living habits and the amount he ad saved, but he still preferred some sort of income. "Where you work? They hiring?"

Halo Zhang shooks his head. "I might try. May pass, may not. What do you do, anyway?" Better to know if he was going to apply. If it was another merc job, he'd have to turn the idea down. Too many years of abuse had nearly destroyed Halo's body completely. He was lucky it still worked.

Though he need more insulation. How the heck did all those people get fat. He need fat lessons. Then he would be warm.

Halo Zhang laughed. "Ah.. A church. I'm not one for that, thanks." He had never been inside the doors of any sort of church a day in his life. Church wasn't for people like Halo. He didn't have the nice clothes, or the looks to get in. He'd be glared out.

Or so he guessed. he had no experience, but he knew what church types were like.

Halo Zhang snorted and shook his head. "God wouldn't want to deal with me, even in service." He snorted, amused. "Let me guess. It involves a lot of fighting?" He sighed.

"Couldn't do that anyway. Not fit enough."

Halo Zhang raises an eyebrow. "Bullets do plenty of damage to anyone." He poitned out, unamused. "And it not that I mind legalitys, and trust me, I don't, considering my last job, it's just..." He pulled back his sleeve to show the tinness of his wrist, his bone visible, outlined against his skin.

Which was why he wore logn sleeves and pants. His bones were too visible to be healthy, and he knew it.

Halo Zhang looked amused. "I think firign a gun might break my arms." He made certain his wrists were entirely covered. "But information? I was a dealer. I can provide that. You'd be surprised who does drugs." He shrugged.

"Or what a high person would say, unthinking."

Halo Zhang shrugged. "Former dealer. They still talk to me though. Try to talk me back into it." He smiled weakly. "Maybe once I'm a little less addicted." He shuddered and sighed. "I miss Bliss." He did too. Bliss was soem of the ebst stuff out there.

Halo Zhang raised an eyebrow. "Church then drinking?" He shrugged. "But mass is a catholic thing. I shouldn't be too surprised." He wasn't either, not really. But Halo had an extraordinarily low view of the church. It just bothered him for some reason.

Halo Zhang shook his head. "Irish. Those are the crazy gun toting fighting constantly fightign types, aren't they?" He wasn't one hundred percent sure.

Halo Zhang slipped in the bar, large wool coat bundling him up tightly against the winter chill. He hated the cold, all cold, everywhere. It was an evil thing in his mind.

The thickness of the coat almost made him look like he was a healthy size, instead of far too skinny for his own good. He was tryign though. Putting on weight was hard.
