Jonathan

"I've got my values...so you can keep yours."

a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by HitoriRaven

Description

Name: Jonathan, Jon.
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Number of Project: 9
Looks:
Jon has dark blue hair as a result of the project he was in. His eyes are also blue, but have taken a gray tint. He's 17, about 5'9 and decently built. He always wears his trademark green coat unless it's really hot. He likes it mostly because it has lots of hidden pockets.

Personality:
Jon is a calm and collected person. Despite everything that has happened, he is also quite cheerful. However, he doesn't say much otherwise, preferring to listen rather than speak. He tries to helpful and understanding of others. Jon tries not to impose his own ideals on anyone else, but will do so unless they believe something he completely disagrees with. He believes in peace, and thinks that all the projects should get along - not only with each other but with other people as well. As such, he is mostly a pacifist, but will passionately fight for something he believes in or to protect his friends. As far as the test - being the last Project - goes, he hopes to find a better solution.

Powers:
Jon can teleport. The more scientific explanation would have to do with molecular deconstruction and reassembling, but in essence, it's teleportation. By default, he brings whatever he's wearing, and whatever he's holding if he concentrates. (this includes up to one person and weapons). He's pretty glad that he got a non-lethal power. Besides that, he has bionic eye which gives him clearer sight and infrared/night vision. He's also a bit stronger and faster than a normal person, but this may be because he works out to stay in shape.

Equipment:
Jon carries a collapsible steel staff that he carries out; it's strapped to his left wrist most of the time. This follows with his non-lethal ideals, preferring to knock out or at most break a bone if he needs to fight. He does carry a .44 Remington Magnum - an old family heirloom - though, having been trained to use it, however, he rarely wants to or needs to use it. It is, however, always loaded in case of emergencies and Jon carries extra ammunition in one of his pockets. Finally, he carries a virtually indestructible music player with matching headphones. It is charged through motion so he never needs to worry about batteries.

History:
He was taken away from his family fairly early on in life and doesn't remember them well. He was raised at a secret facility, but did not despise any of the scientists due to his nature. Aside from that, he was given his magnum before leaving ABSO, the company.

He is currently employed at Taylor's Bar, as security personnel. He can usually be found there, or wandering around.

So begins...

Jonathan approached the doors of Taylor's Bar. He noticed a person standing in front of the doors. He squeezed past, while giving the person a look over. "Excuse me." With a look over, he realized that it was a teenager. "You sure you're old enough to be going in there, kid?" However, he simply winked. "I won't bust you unless my boss tells me to."

With that, he walked through the doors, right as Duncan gestured at them. Jonathan grinned at his wonderful timing as he teleported right into an open chair on Duncan's table. "Hey boss. You called?" He gave a small nod to Sonya.

Jonathan gave a two-fingered salute. "Gotcha, boss." He wasn't worried about tonight, but figured he wouldn't be lazy. After all, he had a finite amount of teleports, and it would be a bad idea to waste one on about 20 yards of walking. He walked over and plopped himself down in the seat, flagging down the bartender. "Just a beer for me, tonight. Nothing strong. Doesn't matter what."

He took a quick sweep of his patrol area, checking out the floor and VIP lounge. It seemed like there weren't as many people on security tonight, so he planned on staying vigilant. While he hoped he wouldn't need it, he patted one of the many pockets on his green coat to check for his revolver. Again, there would hopefully be no need for it.

Jonathan quietly opened the doors to the bar. He glanced around to see if Duncan was around. Not finding, him, Jon took his a seat where he had a good view of the majority of the bar. Right as he was sitting, a noise caused him to jump, before he grinned, and shook his head. "Titania?" However, not only a few minutes after that, a barrage of shots were heard. Jon jumped back up, and looked for the assailant. He barely noticed a man trying to get away, and would teleport in front of him, whipping out his revolver and aiming down the sights. "Don't move."

Jon lowered his gun slightly as he heard Vlad's voice. "Vlad, you watch this guy. He might be lying, but he might not. I'm going to see if anyone else was involved. And you on lights, hit those!" Adding his comment to Vlad's, the lights would come on to reveal the bar. Jon glanced towards the woman who had been shot, hoping that someone would help her. In the meantime, he had a job to do. He quickly ran through all the exits, until he came across Phinx and a mysterious man. He raised his gun again, and used a second teleport. "How did this guy get past with all those weapons? Someone's getting fired." With that, he also shot, hoping to take out the man first.

As the second assailant was dropped, Jonathan ran over to Phinx, while still aiming his gun at the fallen man. He spared a glance at her. "You okay there? Looks like you got a nasty shot to the shoulder. Everything had gone to hell real fast after he walked in. However, had barely noticed that there was a bigger commotion than what had already happened. It seemed that someone important had also been shot. But from this distance, Jon couldn't quite tell who....

Jonathan pulled out a roll of gauze as he tried to help hold her up. It seemed the man was dead, and thus would not require his attention. "You're obviously not okay, and we don't need any more people dying. Besides, the people in there can handle them. I'll go when you're wrapped, at least we'll slow the blood loss. Worry about the bullet later. So hold still." With that, he would attempt to bandage Phinx's shoulder.

Despite the situation, Jon grinned at her. "Died? I think you shot him before I did, and more accurately too. And tell me about it. Some people get all the bad luck, eh?" He finished his crude wrap, grimacing a bit. It wasn't pretty, but it'd do. He gave her two-fingered salute, and began to run back towards the commotion. "We'll get someone to get that bullet out later. Don't move too much, Miss." As Jon returned, he was met with the sight of Vlad...firing at the first assailant's foot. He cautiously stepped towards the pair, speaking quietly. "What...happened?"

Jonathan guessed he was intruding. While he felt a small urge to stop what was happening before him, it also seemed that Vlad had his own reasons. He backed away silently, and was left a bit confused. It seemed he had no job, as everyone who was hurt was already gone...until he heard screaming from the upstairs room. Jon used his third teleport, and with a small 'fwoosh', appeared inside the room with Taylor, Liz and Andrea. He was surprised at the scene, but did not make a noise, aside from the his entrance. The man was dead, and he would be far from it to interrupt Taylor's grieving. Especially if he wanted to keep his job.

And Jonathan had to interject. "Boss, I caught and killed the real assailant. Or the other one. Either or. He was trying to get away, and was about to shoot someone." He jerked his head in the general direction. "The man's body's over there. He was carrying a machine gun and rifle, which is why I believe he's the real killer." He chose not to comment on Leon. "And as for how they got in...sorry, boss. I got here right as everything went to hell."

Jonathan's face twisted into a half-grimace. "I said that it's unlikely, boss. While I'm not saying we trust this guy, he said all he did was shoot up a few glasses. The dead man over there was the guy carrying the heavy weapons." He nodded to Taylor. "I'll leave you to your decision." With that, he made his way to Vlad, sitting down next to the man, and leaning back into the counter. "Hey. Crazy night, huh?" With his right hand, he flagged down a bartender and ordered a beer.

"Perhaps unfortunate night would be a better description, then." Jon took a swig from his mug as he stared through the mess in the bar. "I didn't know the man, but it seems almost like a low blow to hit him right here. I wonder what the boss is going to decide for the other attacker, though." It wasn't even a question, more of a thought. He sighed. "First few weeks on the job, and something happens."

"You're right, no doubt. Tis the life of security, no? Indeed, I agree with you. There is no honour in attacking a man in his home; however, I suppose that the truly do not care for honour. Especially the assassin. A man willing to kill for money would probably not care. However, he cannot be held responsible for what he was hired to do. Only punished." The unsaid statement was that Jon himself had likely become the judge and executioner for the probably assassin. "I would be happy to play checkers with you, though I am definitely not as good as Mr. Andrea." Jon sipped from his beer.

Jonathan burst in through the doors of the bar. He was a bit late, but hopefully with the double security, Duncan wouldn't be too mad. He looked around for the man, his boss. He noticed him sitting nearby, and casually strolled over. As he did so, he took off his headphones. "Hey boss. Where do you want me?" It seemed like a lazy night, but since the assassination, you could never be too sure if that was a good thing or bad thing.

Jonathan teleported into the bar. Hell, he was on break. Who cared if he used one. The walk totally wasn't worth it. Jon looked around. He had only been in there once, but he noticed Titania nearby, helping what looked like a mother and her child. He strolled over, commenting wryly, "Hey 'Tania. Helping someone, as usual?"

Jon shrugged, nodding at the pair. "They look okay. Besides, aiding people in need, is good, no?" He cut his own question off, making it rhetorical. "Anyway, you want to get a drink, now?" He glanced around for a nice empty space, glancing over Duncan, before whipping his eyes back to the man. "Boss? That you?" He waved slightly.

Jon walked through the doors of the bar. He was on break, but it wouldn't hurt to have an extra man, and Gambit's was too full for his liking. He slipped in, spotting Benito. However, the man was pretty intimidating. Jon took a seat nearby, and simply watched. He figured saying something would be a bit dangerous...to his job, if not his life.

Jonathan was thankful to be admitted for the video. Rather, they probably didn't care enough to kick him out. But he had seen it now. He just didn't know what to do. He was only security, after all. Jonathan sighed, and followed Vlad out of the bar. He probably had more on his mind though.

A blue haired man in a long green coat walked past the streets, giving a small laugh as a car cut off another. "Glad I don't have to deal with that." He adjusted his headphones, and checked his newly modified iPod. "Damn, low battery. Sun's not out, either." He was referring to the solar panels on the music player, which obviously would have been charging the thing in the morning. However, he was so distracted that he failed to notice the various passerby, who bumped him towards the tall woman. The initial bump would cause him to drop his iPod and stumble directly in front of her.
