Kalandriel was raised by and apprentice to a wizard, learning the ways of magic since a young age. He was left alone however, at the age of 15 once the wizard died in combat. Realizing that magic is not always a means of defence he trained in combat with various weapons and techniques. One night in his travels he was drawn by and attractive woman out of the local tavern and into the street. Upon leaving the building he was attacked by her, left in the street with a bite on his neck and her blood pumping through him. Using his magic to escape he lived in the woods for a while, trying to control his thirst and new abilities before leaving for his new life...
