"How long does she normally take?!" Natasha called from up the beach much closer to the city than the water. She did not like water. Not one bit. And even if it was recruiting allies she had no desire to go near it!

Of course Luna was lazily paddling down the shore at her own pace. It was nobodies business how or when she arrived. She would get to it in her own time. But of course she wouldn't keep Bic waiting! Oh not at all. When she saw him she let out a happy croon and kept her pace smooth.

Staring across the water Bic waits, the surf lapping around his ankles from where he was standing, not really bothered by the water he makes sure to keep his tail flame hovering above the surf at all times, it hisses and spits whenever a drop of water touches it. Bic grunts, not really having a frame for the question, his voice is somewhat hesitant as he replies. "She takes as long as she takes." Shrugging he goes back to staring across the water.

Hearing Luna's call Bic perks up, turning he waves happily, looking to Natasha he calls, "Here she comes now," before turning back to the water, moving a bit deeper to meet her, he admires the smooth way she moves through the water, he wasn't afraid of it, but she made it look like an extension of herself. "Luna." Is his simple, but happy greeting.

Luna raised a flipper to wave at Natasha, who gave a toss of her mane in acknowledgement from the distance, then her head tilted down to Bic. "Hello again~. I didn't expect you to whistle so soon, but at the same time I wish it had been sooner. It must only have been a week but it feels like it had been longer than a month! Time is funny like that, isn't it?" She leaned her head down closer to him, almost like she was examining him.

"Are you eating well? Do you need me to catch you some fish?"

Bic smiles up at her as she talks, letting himself relax slightly as he talks to someone he found himself strangely close to, despite them having spent very little time together.

"I wish I could have whistled sooner," He admits, thinking of all that had happened in the short time since he'd last seen her. "Things have been, so," Unsure of what to say, he continues on, the words oddly thick in the usually undauntable pokemons throat.

"There's just so much that's happened I don't even know where to start." He finally says with a weary sigh, his shoulders sagging slightly as he drops his claws to his sides, the tips playing through the water as he looks down, then up again as Luna leans down to look at him, he butts his head slightly against hers, "I barely know what to do anymore, Luna, I eat well enough, eating seems to be the only constant in my life these days." He looks away in thought for a moment as she asks if he would like fish, before turning back to her with a grin, "I think I would like that."

He didn't even need to ask twice. Luna retched and with a churn of her stomach she deposited a splatter of fish-bits all over the sand, some half chewed and some partly digested, but beggars couldn't be choosers and like he would even know once it was all cooked! "I can tell," Luna said patiently, lifting her head up to stare at Natasha in the distance, "She wants you to ask me to help, yes? I can't." She tilted her head slightly to the side, as if curious but it was another examining look, like she expected disappointment.

"I'm ocean-bound without a trainer to transport me. I can't storm buildings or rescue pokemon. I will still be around to talk to if you need someone, but I can't join in. Maybe some of Grace's softness got on me!" She let out a light, heart-warming laugh. While she didn't stop smiling, some seriousness returned to her voice.

"You should do what you think you want to do. If you want to climb on my back and sail over the ocean with me, I'd be happy for that. It's not space but we could visit far off lands you've never seen or imagined before! But... I don't think you want that right now."

He nods in answer to her question and as she tells him what he'd already expected, not surprised but - Disappointed, it wasn't her fault he knew, she was a creature of the sea, of deep waters and stormy waves, out there she was a queen, on land though, on land she would be a hindrance, it was not something he would ever want for her.

He smiles wryly as she mentions Grace, his guts twisting up at the thought of the human, as they were wont to do, his mood lightens slightly as she laughs and he grins at her, letting his worries fly away in the wind along with the light laughter, all humor leaves his person as she speaks though, her voice turning serious, though she still smiled, and he is tempted. Oh so tempted to simply leave, but that wasn't him. His eyes narrow losing any semblance of kindness, only just hinting at the fury buried deep beneath a veneer of civility as he thinks of the cause, of the way Pokemon kind is enslaved and used, of the way humans think they can simply treat them like pawns. Hands clenched so hard he draws his own blood he looks at Luna resolutely, the fury tempered by raw determination and drive.

"If only I could," He starts, in reference to her offer to leave. His voice strong, but wispy with emotions before he firms up, his next words echoing with authority. "but there are people relying on me, and I might not know much, but I know you don't abandon those counting on you."

"I wonder... How easy would it have been for Verse to run from you when you both first met?" she asked, raising her head in thought and staring at the sky, "He could have burrowed into the ground or curled into a ball and rolled away, but he stayed. Maybe he saw something in you. Maybe we all do."

Her head leaned down again and gave one big lick of his cheek before she said softly, "Goodbye Bic. I have a feeling we're going to talk again soon." And with that her head lifted up and she paddled around on the spot then started to wade away.

"How easy indeed," He replies, thinking back on that first meeting, when he'd just drug himself from the fiery pit that was his home. Before he had any worries, back when the world was his for the taking and he didn't even know what a human was, what would have happened had he never grouped up with Verse, he didn't know, he'd probably have eaten a human by now. A grin works it's way onto his face, a lot of humans, but look at him now. Fighting for the rights of an entire species, that wasn't something he could have ever foreseen all those weeks ago. He is stunned silent as he feels her tongue snake out and slide over his cheek, and he doesn't think to say anything until she is gone, sailed away to wherever she goes when she wasn't pulling his tail out of a funk. And as a single tear slides down his cheek, his first tear ever he replies softly.

"I hope so, I won't let you down."

Luna drifted down the shore with a happy song in her throat, fins splashing the water to send her gracefully sailing forward. It was difficult not to be happy when the weather was sunny. It always seemed to be sunny in Ridgecrest. Then she spied a familiar figure, a fisherman she had played with the day before. She carried her way onto him, tilting her head curiously. "Where is your friend?" she asked curiously, then looked up towards the city, "Busy busy I suppose! You boys are always so busy. Have you caught much yet?" Of course her voice would just sound like pleased wailing, but it was the thought that counted really.

The sound of familiar splashing makes Cu grin, he doesn't look as she comes closer though, afraid he might scare the friendly creature off, simply sitting back further into his chair, his feet reclined on a small wooden crate, the sun is warm on his skin as he tamps out his cigarette, idly flicking his line away from one of the large orange fish vying for it with a light chuckle, the animals on this planet were amazing! And faster than they had any right being, the first time he'd hooked one, and it had shot pressurized water at him he'd fallen over laughing at the absurdity of it all. Then he was hooked, even going so far as considering getting some of those 'pokeball' things, but had changed his mind at the last moment, not wanting to more or less enslave something that was intelligent. Even if he didn't speak their language... yet. He waves friendly like as the majestic animal(called a Lapras, he'd learned.) finally swims up to him, wailing happily. The noise just as beautiful to him as it had been before, he wished he knew what she was saying.

"Good to see you again, pretty girl. Fish?" He greets, then asks, raising a small tray with filleted bits of fish on it for her to peruse.

Luna had no illusions about the language barrier between them, but was going to have a world of fun with the conversation she would pretend they were having. She stared at his platter of fish then looked up at him. "Why, a boy like you could surely catch something much greater to eat, unless this fish was all in the hopes that I would return?" Delighted noises left her throat as her front flippers began slapping into the water, splashing about.

"Oh that's so sweet of you! You're so considerate!" she chirped and sang. Then her head tilted down to take one of the fish and gobble it down her throat. "Well there's no use of you staying on land is there?" she asked, wading on the spot until she swung so her back was to him and she looked over her shoulder with a demure look. "I'll give you a ride out to a special place."

Cu laughs, pleased at her reaction to the fish, he leans forward conspiratorially stage whispering. "You know, usually I don't even try to catch anything, but I was really curious to see how the orange ones taste." He laughs again, as he is wont to do. Listening to the noises she makes, a small smile on his face, that turns to practically splitting his face as she turns about, clearly wanting to take him out to sea. Now, some people might have hesitated at letting a strange creature ferry them out to god knows where. It should be noted that Cu is not most people. He barely stops long enough to grab up his pole before he's settling onto her shell, grinning like a loon.

"You, me, the sun and the sea." He sings, laughing before he can get to the next verse.

Luna was far from the largest laptop. While she could sport many children atop her back it was a little bit of a tight fit for two adults stand on her back and there was definitely only enough room for one human to sit. But it would be a pleasant ride for that one human. She drifted further down the coast away from the beach and near the rocky shore. However, as she drifted further out and the ground dipped, it gave way to a reef, sprawling for a great distance. Only the shallowness of Luna's body managed to skim above it, but many unfortunate boats had scraped over the tough material. Fish darted about in all directions, skittering off to hide from the much larger shape swimming past.

"Here we are," Luna announced as her pace slowed and she began to sing a soft surfing song, letting the current carry her buoyancy about.

In a word it was beautiful. The reef as far as he could see was magnificent, not that he hadn't seen them before, but it seemed this planets inhabitants were cleaner than those back home as the water was unbelievably clean, so clear he felt he could snatch fish straight from the water without much effort. They came to a stop among it all, and all he could do was sit, taking it all in, breathing slowly to scent the air.

"It's beautiful," he concludes, standing to get a better look, a hand on her neck for stability.

Luna continued to sing, paying no mind to the man atop her back. But a sharp eye might spot a blue shadow, longer than Luna with her neck stretched out and slim-bodied, darting along the edge of the reef, finding it too shallow to enter but full of the food they want. The swiftness of its many fins launched it through the body like a monster, appearing then fading into deeper waters, but swirling back around like it wished to make prey out of the Lapras, or possibly Cu himself.

Cu's eyes were sharper than most, watching a line sixty feet away close enough to see when a fish comes near it will do that to a person, he quickly picks up on their shadow, though he thinks nothing of it, fish were strange creature. These intelligent ones even more so, he kept an eye on it out of the corner of his eye, but other than that he simply enjoyed the view, as he hummed along with the Lapras's singing, content to wait and see.

From the edge of the water the shadow suddenly rose, head rising smoothly from the water like some sort of frightening serpent, jaw hanging open in a permanent snarl with fins flicking away some of the moisture. Luna had finally noticed, and when she spotted the Garydos lurking on the edge of the reef, she spun quickly on the spot and started to paddling away. "Oh dear," she said, speed rapidly building, "Sorry to cut this short, but if he chose to follow us I honestly wouldn't be able to run."

Cu's hand darts to a cobalt blue capsule separate from the others as the beast rears it's head. A fierce grin comes to his face, and exhilaration races through his body. Still standing he braces himself, hands no longer holding onto anything as the creature he is riding upon swims away from the fierce monster, surfing on a living animal he stares back at the great monster and smiles, an idle thought making its way through his head. 'I'm going to need a bigger rod.'

"You want to catch that thing? Ha, boys these days," she cooed wistfully as they sailed on back for the shore. When they arrived she slowed and brought him over to the rocky outcrop she had picked him up from and finally stopped.

"That was wild!" He crows in excitement as he smoothly leaps to the shore, whirling about to give the Lapras a big grin, stabbing his pole firmly into the sand. "I'm going to need my ship for something like that!" His thoughts whirl as he remember the huge thing and is amazed that they come from the pathetic orange carp. "Thank you," he says as he calms down and moves to rub the creatures snout.
