Book Keeper
Odin has a special supernatural ability that allows him to take advantage of certain text. He refers to it as "Book keeper". Book Keeper allows him to tap into these supernatural powers, depending on the text that Odin chooses to manipulate. As of yet, Odin has only figured out how to control and use his powers in three instances:

  • Physics- Grants Odin two abilities. The first is the power to control and manipulate the speed and velocity of targeted objects (Up to 3 max at one time). The second is the ability to manipulate and control the gravitational effect on either a single target, or a small area.

  • Chemistry- Grants Odin the ability to utilize and manipulate abundant elements in his present immediate surroundings.

  • History- Grants Odin the ability to summon historically significant individuals or icons for a limited amount of time.

Odin Apollo continued to read, muttering the words aloud as his eyes traced the lines of text on the pages of the physics textbook. This was his hobby, his entertainment. He'd already finished much of his coursework, any exams those professors back at the university intended to give him would be handled quite easily.

One of the benefits of starting you're education as early as three, and knowing Algebra at three and a half.

Odin was everything his name symbolized, wise infinitely beyond his years. But he still enjoyed reviewing information. Information was uniform, absolute. It would never lie to him, provide him with false hope. Information was easy to understand, much easier than other people.

Odin had his books, and that's all he needed.

Is the lie he told himself in bed every night.

The young woman watching him went unnoticed. She presented no annoyance that caught his attention, or any curiosity that would attract his interest and as such, she had yet to exist as an entity separate from the background.

"Yes, Physics." Odin said as he slowly marked the page he was currently reading before closing the heavy book.

She now registered as an annoyance.

"Is there something wrong with reviewing physics?" He turned his head ever so slightly to look at the girl with his peripherals. As he did this, one hand slipped inside of his pinstriped jacket to retrieve the pack of mock cigarettes Odin like to keep on him at all times. They contained no tobacco or chemicals, but rather it was the latest achievement in cultural science. Fake cigarettes, the only chemicals being dihydrogen monoxide.

Odin sighed as he watched the girl quite literally trip over her own feet. He popped the cigarette into his mouth, lips pressing together on the filter. As she tumbled into the fountain, he shook his head slightly as he began to turn to walk away. However something caught his eye that stopped him.

A book.

This registered as a curiosity.

In today's modern age, and with the way Wing City's culture was, Books weren't exactly common. Especially for pleasure reading.

And especially not a classic like Alice in wonderland.

Because of this, it was his hand that reached the book first. He lifted it up and held it out for her to take.

"You're pretty clumsy, you should work on that before you wind up hurting yourself seriously."

"Well, uh..." Odin tilted his head slightly at the wet foot. "Good luck with that."

The young man paused for a second to light the fake cigarette, take a short drag, and look at the girl for a few silent seconds more.

"Well, Nice meeting you I guess." He fianlly said when his instincts told him it was time to go. "Maybe I'll see you around some other time."

He wasn't exactly hoping for anything, she wasn't anything special. But there was no reaosn to be impolite.

Odin paused and turned his head slightly to regard her.

"Why do you want to know?"

He would wait seven seconds, if she did not provide him with a suitable answer he would depart. Some people in Wing City loved to brag about their...."traits". Not him though. There was no reason for him to. It made him no more special than anyone else that could do something beyond the human scope.

And perhaps, maybe he didn't want to be special.

Not a suitable answer.

"Didn't anyone ever tell you?" Odin said in a flat tone. "Curiosity killed the cat."

He turned to begin walking away once more. Still, he couldn't blame her for being curious, it wasn't a bad trait. He himself used to be infinitely curious. Back when he was little especially. And he had to admit, he kind of, sort of, didn't dislike people who showed their curiosity, even in subjects that had nothing to do with him.

So that's why her book began to float into the air, pulling at her arms to get free and rise further.

"A good magician, never revels his tricks, right?"

That's something a cool guy would say right?

The book fell back into her hands and a slight smile crept onto his face.

That was a clever retort.

"I will not tell my secrets to someone I don't know who I've just met." Odin stopped walking and looked over his shoulder. "So if you really want to know, then you have to make sure that I know you."

"Odin." The man said, turning his body slightly towards her.

"But exchanging names is only the beginning you know. I'm not the type to release precious information so easily. So why don't we do this appropriately." He brought his fingers to his mouth to pull the fake cigarette free and toss it away.

"I know a quaint book shop with a nice little cafe."

"Well. Come on then."

Odin had to admit, he was pushing the boundaries of his comfort zone. Previous attempts at social interactions usually resulted in awkward silence, or a situation where he felt like a third wheel. He'd never openly complain about it, but it did bother him to some degree, albeit minimal. Still, it was the one subject he was not educated in, and he wanted to learn.
