Rayn Henter was falling. Through the rain and the cold, heading straight for the ground and the ruins below. Her choppy hair hit her face and prevented her from seeing, making her rapid descent a definite reason for worry, but for some odd reason, there was a content smile etched on her face. The wings on her back spread at the last minute, preventing an early demise. "The rain is nice..." she mumbled to herself aloud, looking up curiously and letting the rain wash over her. Water always soothed her burns..."Too bad I'm lost."

Rayn Henter turned her gaze from above to the landscape around her. She found herself in what seemed to be the ruins of a grand building. As hail began to hit around her, she began to move with a purpose. She needed to find shelter, before she was injured in the storm. She wouldn't find her way to a city in this storm anyways. She ran quickly to what seemed to be the remnants of a roof, shaking off the clinging water that she was now drenched in. Chains...? Did she just hear that? A tingle went up her spin and something wasn't right...but how to proceed with such knowledge?

Rayn Henter 's eyes widened as she finally registered cries emanating from below. Pain and anger, two things familiar to her, and the cries made her wrists and ankles burn. She shook her head, spraying a bit of water around before deciding...She'd at least find what was causing such cries and perhaps the reasoning behind them. Her wings folded in and she moved like a blur, rushing down a staircase she found amongst the rumble. This was interesting, at least...

Rayn Henter stared, blinking repeatedly. It was as if her eyes were almost adjusting, almost giving her the chance to see something...Then it was gone. How strange..."Axuda?" she questioned curiously, not recognizing the language. "Hm...I don't understand you," she stated simply, running a hand through her hair. Her eyes settled on his, they seemed the easiest to catch. "Now why would you be chained up down here, hm?" she questioned, not expecting any intelligible answer.

Rayn Henter tilted her head as she listened, taking a few steps forward. She'd created a small puddle of the clinging water and almost tripped, but easily caught herself and propelled forward. She stepped a bit more forward, examining every detail she could catch as he strained against the chains. "Yes, yes. I hear you. 'Axudar.' I don't exactly know what you mean, though," she stated, her eyes staring at the deep brand for a moment. "Odd..." she stated before moving close enough to touch the chains. Everything her seemed cold... "I wonder if these come off. They're what you're protesting, yes?"

Rayn Henter raised a brow and studied what parts of the person she could see. "Right, right. You want them off...But how?" she stated, the last part barely a whisper, she was talking for her own benefit anyways, right? She laughed slightly after he began, though hers was almost nervous. "That makes you happy, I guess?" she questioned, examining the chains again and where they met his 'body'. She reached out to tug on them questioningly, trying to figure out exactly how she could free him...

Rayn Henter was paralyzed, right until his eyes met hers. She screamed out, terrified, and all but threw herself backwards and away from the flames. She breathed erratically and scooted backwards wildly, crawling away as fast as possible. Flames...flames...Her mind was in another place for a moment and she was trapped, eyes still seeing flames that had long since gone...But his voice. It was sad...She was snapped back to the task at hand. Get him free. "Sorry...Didn't...realize..." she gasped out before pushing herself to her feet and circling about him curiously. "How do I get these off, then?"

Rayn Henter smiled back slightly, and a bit tentatively. She was safe right now...No flames...Nothing could touch her. She rubbed her arm to comfort herself for a moment and blinked as he began to tug the chains again. She looked up at the ceiling attachments. She looked at him curiously. "There? Will it not hurt you if I touch there?" she questioned, her wings unfurling. She carefully flew up the short distance to the first hook and reached out a hand...She looked back at him, making sure she had it right...She didn't want anymore flames or pain...

Rayn Henter watched his actions carefully. He was preparing...That didn't bode well, it didn't seem. "You better be sure you want this..." she mumbled quietly before reaching out an unsteady hand. No, there wouldn't be flames...It would be okay. She had to free him right? Not be stuck in fear...She took a deep, steadying breath and quickly attempted to unhook the chains from the ceiling.

Rayn Henter nodded slightly and moved a bit quicker. "Yes, yes, I know...Get these off," she mumbled, a bit unsure. He had motioned above, but she was still unsure if that would bring about another bout of flames or not...She prayed not, but since when had her prayers been heard. "Here we go, I guess..." She moved quickly, unhooking the chains in succession as best she could.

Rayn Henter quickly landed next to the strange man and bit her lip hard, watching the agony. "Damn it, you better know what you wanted..." she mumbled quietly, crouching down and trying to check for breathing. Faint, but there. She shook her hand free of blood and tried to get a good grasp on him. "Come on...Let's see if fresh air does you any good..." She wasn't sure if the storm was still on, but anything had to be better than this 'dungeon.'

Rayn Henter carefully half-dragged the man to the stairs then hefted him up as best she could and spread her wings to take her above ground. Drizzling, now, with clouds still in the sky, but she could at least get her bearings. Maybe find where she had left her camp. She adjusted her grip as he moved slightly with...laughter? She wiped the tears away quickly and sighed. "You are crazy...Probably." And with that, she took flight, keeping a tight grip on him.

Rayn Henter was led to her camp by the familiar scent and quickly landed, glad to find the ground mostly dry and her stuff unruined. She laid down the man gently and furled her wings up. "Well...Now I don't know what I'm doing anymore," she stated resignedly.

Rayn Henter had watched the man with entertained curiosity as he seemed to be completely dazzled at his surroundings. She laughed slightly as he kissed her forehead and nodded, watching him again. "Yes, you're welcome. I like my choice in camping spot, too," she joked, mostly just to her a familiar language. "I'd ask how long you were down there, but I don't want you to ramble about 'axudar' again..." she mumbled with a small smile.

Rayn Henter tilted her head and winced a bit at the first odd noise. Her eyes widened, however, as suddenly he was speaking in somewhat broken English. "Well, you can talk...Or are you learning?" she mumbled quietly before looking him over. "I'm Rayn. Nice to meetcha, En. It's...some year? Not sure myself. I'm a Thangarian, not exactly from here." She wondered if all that would get through...Maybe she should speak brokenly, too. That sounded like a...horrible idea, actually.

Rayn Henter began to move around her camp, digging through a few bags. "Yes, fast was correct. A Thangarian...Well, I'm similar to a human, I suppose. I just have a few perks," she stated, pulling out a blanket and tossing it to him. "I don't have any clothes your size. You'll have to find a city for that." She carefully reached back and readjusted her wings. "So...Why were you down there in the first place?"

Rayn Henter tilted her head. "Right, right. I'll ask you later...When you've got a better grip on grammar and such," she stated with another slight smile. "Yes, of course you wish to be warm," she stated, sighing slightly and looking at his arms. "Is body heat your answer to the problem or do you want me to chuck more items at you?"

Rayn Henter nodded. "Right, right. You're only use to that dungeon place, right?" She smiled back a bit. "Henter. Rayn Henter," she responded with a laugh at his meeping. "Alright, alright. I'll take pity on you since I know how it is. My first goal should be to make sure you stay alive and healthy, right?" She moved carefully, gingerly removing the wings from her back and moving close, attempting to move behind his curled form and snuggle up.

Rayn Henter almost flinched back at how warm he was, her burns stinging for a moment before she merely tried to rub his arms to warm him up. "You're welcome. I don't have much to give so you better treasure what you get," she stated with a slight laugh. "Yes, it sort of is, but thanks for saying so. I like it."

Rayn Henter made a high-pitched whistling sound as she fell from the air. She swore she'd reached maximum velocity much too soon, but she didn't give much time to the thought. After falling from such a height, she needed to slow herself, the wings of nth metal moving at her mental command. She slowed her descent gradually, but not quickly, enjoying the wind blasting around her body. It was with an eccentric laugh that she finally flipped herself around and landed on her feet on the shore of a river.
