Description

Image

You're rather talented, aren't you? Give it your best, I'll push you to your limits.

At the age of sixteen, Vexion appears far more mature than his actual age lets on. Deep obsidian locks frame either side of his somewhat tanned visage whilst a minuscule portion of his bangs appear to be a deep violet in nature, a hereditary trait passed down from his father. His figure stands at 188 cm, whilst his weight comes in to be around 82 kg.

A tight long sleeved, netted, upper spandex shirt of sorts. Over the netted undershirt appears an old heirloom top of his fathers, with clothe wrapped around his waist as a wrapping. Holding that in place is an intricate violet sash. In times of storm or bitter cold, a dark shaded over cloak can be seen draped over his figure to protect him from the elements.

A single blade; sheathed, rests upon his right side, A single cloth-like pouch is tied to the sheath, holding his current form of currency, usually a conglomeration of silver, gold, and platinum coins.

His body is seemingly well-toned, and athletic, though, is slender. His skin also appears to act as a canvas for a various assortment of inked designs, each holding a specific meaning to him in some shape, or form.

Do an event that cost him two natural limbs, his left arm and left leg, from thigh down, have been replaced with prosthetic, augmented, limbs. The upper appendage known as an ARM, Appendage Replacement Mechanism, and the lower known as a LEG, Limb Enhancement Gear.

Personality

Many inquire as to the extents of my mind. Many never do understand what I explain to them afterword, thusly, their question forever remains without answer, the truth eluding them.

Vexion's personality is that of silent, stoic, and though in good spirits. His intellect carries forth his conversation; showing his great wisdom for his strikingly young age. He will, and does, engage in conversation, though remains rather distant with each word, until having grown comfortable, and trusting, of the other individual. His compassion is very easily noted in his treatment of close friends, and those he deems trustworthy.

Not one to idly sit by during calamitous events, he acts quickly. If others are around capable of offering assistance, he'll quickly bark out orders; one to be a leader rather than a follower.

Equipment

I am more than you bargained for. What you assumed to be a typical human, is far more than you could ever fathom. I'll crush you into dust within the seconds it takes you to understand the gravity of your dilemma.

Vexion possesses a legendary blade, known as Shissaiga II. Handed down from his father, the blade represents the Chusshin Deity of the shade, otherwise considered death. The blade in itself is sleek, much like a Katana, but within Vexion's possession has acquired the manifestation of serrated teeth within it's edge near the tip of the blade. From the last tooth down the rest of the edge is simply smooth, and exponentially sharp.

Aside from this; Vexion is a Kumogakure Shinobi; possessing vast knowledges of Jutsu's; though he relies solely upon Taijutsu, Kenjutsu, and three Chakra Natures; Raiton, Suiton, and Fuuton. He also utilizes an advanced nature form known as Thunder Release

Image

His Doujutsu, Shinseigan, is a powerful Kekkai Genkai, and once activated allows him to use techniques; One such known as Konki Sekiryoku, or Energy Repulsion. Various other techniques follow that similar ability. Other notable abilities with this Doujutsu include the ability to follow any and all movement of his opponents, nearly seeing steps ahead of them, and identifying area's that can bring an opponent into submission, via Chakura points. But it's most powerful aspect, which in turn pulls a vast amount of chakura to do so, is the ability to foretell coming actions in three different stages. The first stage allows up to five seconds ahead of the present time to be witnessed. The second, ten, and the third, fifteen. Seeing ahead of time allows actual prediction purposes, allowing to foil attempts at attacking him. The downside is that, once the flow of time is changed, any movements beyond the first are null, and time adjusts as would the opponent.

Image

Because of an incident that cost him his limbs, Vexion also happened to lose an eye that day at the hands of a cruel figment of Vexion's family past. Replaced with a new eye carrying mutated genetics, an array of cellular changes enacted on the molecular level, Vexion's secondary Doujutsu is known as the Renkingan. It gives him the capability to take natural elements and form them into new, unique, constructs. Used via seal, Vexion places a seal upon an object and through his eye manipulates the necessary material into a new object. A secondary seal also allows him to break down objects, even so far as to destroy the chakra circulatory system on an enemy foe.

Secondarily, Vexion possesses a quarter of Saiyan blood-lineage; thus he is faintly able to utilize few Saiyan skills, such as Instantaneous movement; and their strength and speed. But nothing else. His Youkai lineage only grants him further increased speed, as well as a youthful appearance, and condensed muscle mass; leaving his body to look sharp, and flawless .

Beyond that, he typically has other equipment at his disposal.

-Kunai
-Razor Wire

History

Leave my past out of this...

Vexion's past is plagued with family blood-feuds. It is saturated with tragedy, and mishaps.

Ultimately; Vexion's journey began the moment his father left him in his uncles care. His mother was brutally murdered by a rogue Saiyan claiming his father to be a worthless half-breed. In the moment said Saiyan murdered his mother; Vegeshin, Vexion's father, claimed revenge. But upon that moment; the despair to heavy, he was unable to properly care for his son, and thus chose to leave him with Rizukumei; Vegeshin's brother. Rizukumei raised Vexion to be a great warrior; and upon the age of ten, Vegeshin returned, only to state that his other brother, Kazura, had become maniacally insane; wishing to destroy the Kanahashi family; whilst plunging the world into utter chaos.

Thus Vexion's father retreated once more; only to succumb to Kazura's wrath years later. Vexion was then sent away by urging of Rizukumei, due to the fact that Kazura would then come for him and Vexion next. It was within that moment that Vexion promised to resurrect his father, and avenge not only Rizukumei's death, but his fathers as well.

Upon arriving in Kumogakure, he was discovered to be the son of Maielle Shikumori, a prodigious Jonin that had went missing years prior. Taken under the guardianship of two other Jonin within the village, Vexion was put through the Academy and learned alongside the rest of the young students. He became a genin, and then soon achieved chunin before a mission was laid upon him. Though it originally wound up simple, it was a tedious mission, and soon took a turn for the worst. Still completing it, it was upon his return that the Raikage appointed him to Jonin status by way of his actions and bravery.

It was not long after that he came into contact with a young, ashen tressed, female and soon became infatuated with her. Various other missions cropped up, and in his off time he chose to spend time with her, getting to know her.

But always curious about his past, and where he'd come from, he searched out for remnants of his history, starting with the decrepit old abode his uncle lived within as he was a child. Searching all he could for information regarding Ianua Aeternitatis, the gateway that both his uncles, and father, used to arrive here, he finally discovered the location. Rather than passing back into his originating realm, though, he was delivered into The Multiverse. Unsure of his return, he remains her to this day.

So begins...

Her movements were slow and stiff as she seemed to freeze up, body turning towards her bag on the ground and scooping it up in both arms. It was pink, with pictures of some white anime cat on the side which she thought was SO CUTE, but she didn't know what he would think. The zipper pulled open as she shuffled around with some papers inside and then finally handed him a page, somewhat crumpled (especially around the edges) from being stuffed into a small bag for so long and with an obvious fold-line down the middle.

"I-it's not mine," came her meek voice from a face aghast.

The picture was... A flattering interpretation of how his father looked, Vegeshin in a relaxed position in a bathrobe on a bed, one shoulder bared leaving much of his upper pectorals exposed. His expression could possibly described as 'demure' were one to interpret it in that way, with a soft blush of red on his cheeks. He certainly looked a lot more stylized than his actual appearance, a little more slanted at the jaw, and more effeminate for certain. He was also obviously drawn on a notebook, judging by the blue lines on the page where ever the drawing was not. It had been drawn primarily in pen and coloured with pencil.

Eyes never left her at that point, watching her tense in that instant. Slowly, the followed as she turned to grab at her flamboyant back, the image depicted on the side bringing a strange look of bewildered amusement to his face. Girls found interest in such strange things here. As she unzipped it and ruffled around within it, his arms gingerly crossed over his chest in waiting fashion before she finally retrieved a single paper. As she handed it to him, he slowly reached out to accept it with a few dexterous fingers before glancing upon her the instant she resigned claim to such a thing. Quirking a brow, his head came to tilt before he held it before him, slowly going to unfold it.

"Not yours? Oh. Well. Huh. I was expecting to see something of yours. But, I suppose if this is done by a friend of yours, it doesn't matter. You all probably have a knack for..." He began before unfolding it and falling silent at what was depicted. Taken aback, momentarily, his head slightly shifted backward, almost away from the picture in that instant. His head then slowly tilted itself askew as to look at it from somewhat of an interesting angle. Not long thereafter, his face screwed itself up into a perplexed, and possibly disturbed, amalgamation of shock, and horror. Was this the father figure who shared surname only? But, why? What in Kami happened to cross their mind when drawing him? Why would they even draw him in such a fashion. Thoroughly disturbed, his eyes widened momentarily before they fell shut and he slowly folded it back up. A heavy exhale left him before he gingerly held it back out to her for her to take.

"I-I see...That...is certainly interesting. I'm...not quite sure what to say..." He began, stumbling over his words and choking on them as if he had swallowed down water in the wrong pipe. Clearing his throat, his hand suddenly quivered, hand shaking some, as if for her to take it quickly. "Though, the artistry is certainly...different than I'd expected. I think that's probably the first, and last, piece I need to see, though. Whoever drew it...isn't too bad of an artist..." He finished, still stammering some in abhorrent lament, though cleverly disguised as false appreciation. He certainly didn't need to see anymore of that. It wasn't simple art, and these girls surely, at this point he'd realized, weren't simply fans, but more than fans.

It was honestly the most agonizing few seconds of her life, watching every single crease of his face, every single expression twist and dance over his features, every single moment that ticked. She all but snatched it from his hands when it was finally offered, then stuffed it into her bag, not even bothering to fold it. Who cared anyway? She didn't talk to the person who drew it anymore.

"So just dumb stuff like that," she tried to cover, throwing her bag over her shoulders as quickly as she could once she tugged the zips closed. She came face to face with him for another moment, looking somewhere near traumatized at having to share with that, and not even for a moment thinking about how he might feel. "I can go home now," she suddenly blurted, "It's getting late and my parents are probably wondering where I am. I live down the street that way!"

Her hand jerked out to the side, pointing in the rough direction. Her head then turned for the side as she dumbly spouted, "Look, the sun is setting," as if requiring validation for her excuse to leave this embarrassing encounter and go cry about it, then maybe later blog about it. No one on Tumblr was going to believe this!

Spying her hurried reaction, at that moment, he found a sudden displeased frown cross his lips. Was he that readable? Certainly. That was the most painfully, agonizingly, traumatizing thing he'd ever seen. He probably wouldn't be able to look the Militiaman in the eyes from this point on without glancing away, or stifling a chuckle. Either or, he certainly hoped he could forget it. Dumb stuff didn't really even fit the crime. It was horrible. Girls that age shouldn't be drawing a fifty some year old man in such a fashion. It was...criminal. But, he wouldn't dare say such a thing. Instead, he'd pass it off with ease. She already knew he apparently held disdain for it. Nothing else need be said.

"I...well, I wouldn't call it dumb. Outlandish, perhaps." He murmured, before rising to his feet. Catching her facial expression, his softened some before he listened to her coming words. Finally. He could take her home. And, at this hour, he wouldn't doubt her parents would worry about her whereabouts. If he were the father, he'd damn well have had a heart attack if his daughter was off roaming around Wing City, even an hour before now. Nodding in her direction, he, again, took step to the ledge, noting the drop off as being a rather reasonable distance down. "Alright, then. Take my hand, and rather than climbing down, I can offer to hold on to you whilst I jump down. It's quicker that way. We can possibly beat the setting sun." He explained, then offering his other hand.

Certainly he didn't really want to be in such a position as to let her hold onto him in such a manner, but, she certainly had a point. And with all the things that had already come to pass, such contact was trivial in the wake of such awkward revelations.

Not even hesitating for a split second she reached to take his hand in hers the moment he spoke 'Take my hand'. She couldn't help it, it was fangirl instinct! He was practically throwing himself at her! She wanted to shout, "Yes! Take me!" without a full comprehension on the meaning behind the words. It just seemed like the most dramatic and appropriate thing to shout when a man asked you to take his hand so you could go...

Flying!

"I-ahaha," she giggled in an attempt to bury the keenness of her act in nervousness, which was certainly starting to take over. Her earlier tears were all but forgotten in the slow progression of emotions from self-pity, to shame, to horror and now... Admiration. The blush made her cheeks an almost rosey red as her ears stood upright but hearing nothing. "Just took your hand," she finally finished her sentence after leaving it to hang incomplete for several seconds, followed by a slow exhalation that could be comparable to a sigh.

Or a swoon.

Waiting for her to take hold of his hand, he studied her countenance for a period of time. It was as if he could systematically understand everything running through her mind, try as hard as she could to hide such a thing. A girl who was thoroughly enthralled by another was easy to decipher, and she was certainly no different. His brow rising in a dangerous manner, a sudden suspicious, somewhat perplexed, look plastering itself upon his face, he slowly shook his head as a slight grin overcame his lips. She was certainly an amusing thing.

As she giggled, his grin only grew. It was...cute, nonetheless. The poor girl was flustered, it appeared. But as her cheeks became draped in a crimson hue, his hand managed to flit some, fingers wiggling just around the time she took it. Taking hold, he pulled her into his arms before lifting to scoop her into them. The strange eminence of her exhaled sigh brought him to glance down at her, his brow still perked whilst he offered a silly grin. Perhaps he could get used to her, all strangeness aside. This was Terra, and Wing City. There was no shortness of awkward, outlandish, figures. And what was strange to him was normal to another. Slowly shaking his head, he took a swift step forward before falling the short two stories. As they fell, his outfit whipping up around him as did his hair, he kept his eyes trained on her.

"Yes, yes you did. And now we're falling. Hold tight..." He mentioned, before as soon as it had begun, it had come to an end. Landing delicately upon his feet, he crouched a slight degree to lessen the impact. Rising upward, he slowly let loose of her to set her upon her feet again. Retrieving his hand, his own rose to direct a thumb to the direction she'd previously mentioned she lived in. "So, over yonder, right? I did say I was going to make sure you returned home safely." He explained, before suddenly closing a single eye. "This entire time, though, you've yet to tell me your name. You know mine. Perhaps you can properly introduce me to yourself?" He inquired.

It had been an all but magical moment from her dreams as she was in the air. In his arms. Vexi-Chans. She curled into him, nuzzling her face against his torso with ears twitching and a soft murr noise escaping her throat, almost akin to the purr of a cat. Until they hit the ground of course. There was a momentary awkwardness from the girl as she realized his hand was leaving hers and her fingers were yet to relent, arms rising with his motions.

With a mixture of reluctance and utter embarrassment she jerked her head from his chest and thrust her hands down by her sides. Well, the embarrassment she wanted him to think she felt as her head tilted downwards in fake-shame. Of course, her tell-tale ears were a give away, still perked upwards, and her downed head was only to hide a huge smile on her face that just wouldn't go away. Hopefully with their difference in height he wouldn't notice.

Until he asked her name, then she jerked back upwards, face beaming with life and energy as she happily blurted out, "Yuki Nikka!" she answered, "But you can call me Yuki-Chan~!" As if from instinct, one hand rose up to her cheek and bent over and an excited, "Nyaah~" escaped from her throat.

So much had happened since the last time she'd visited this Multiverse, so much she wish she could forget. Sure there had been happy moments: her mother finding peace in stepping down from her position and her father finally was relieved of all the guilt he'd built up over his former life. Still, the images of Kadeo and Vauron both being killed was still vivid in her imagination and seemed to blot out much of what else had occurred. She knew that it wasn't her fault, she had to move on with her life and sort things out as she sought out her own independent path.

That's what brought her back here. While her mother had decided to live on Arccus for the time being, Skye wasn't able to be content in that unindustrialized world. She also wanted nothing to do with the politics of the gods, having turned down that invitation on her way back here. Skye knew that she'd be able to visit her mother whenever she wanted, but besides her there was nothing truly left for her in Arccus. The only times she could truly remember being happy was her times here with him, so here she was trying to find him once more.

Unfortunately Gambit's Bar had been closed, and without any knowledge of where to go from there she started to wander the streets. Fighting off the thoughts that perhaps he had vanished, or returned to his home she sought out any familiar faces to see if anyone could point her in the right direction. The direction she'd neglected to look in was up, and when a blur landed before her the blonde immediately reached for her blade as she took a few steps back and spread her legs into position for battle. Then her blue eyes fell across his pale violet, and his unmistakable voice met her ears... This was too good to be true.

"V-Vexion..?!" She stammered, hardly believing her luck.Releasing her sword's handle she fought back the urge to lunge herself at him as her cheeks flushed, her breath escaping her in relief and her hand reaching out for him. He was alright, he was here! "I'm sorry it's taken me so long to come back I..." Her voice trailed off as the presence of the other female became clear to her now. The blushing female was fangirling over him, bringing a sudden feeling of dread within her heart.

"...Can explain," she finished quietly, immediately making her emotions much like her father had taught her. Cool eyes wandered over the Neko, then back to Vexion before averting from the two of them. Crossing her arms, she stared at the ground as she continued.

"Forgive me for interrupting, I can come back later," she said quietly, beginning to turn from the pair though she wasn't able to bring herself to leave just yet. She didn't want to assume and ruin this reunion before it could even begin.

Every reaction from the girl was well taken into consideration; from the sound that escaped her to the way she curled into him, almost as if a damsel in the arms of her savior. It was somewhat awkward, to say the least, as he landed. And as it took her a few moments to leave his arms, a sudden sweat drop rose to the side of his face as did his face contort some into perplexed, awkward, fashion. Studying her sudden reactions that appeared to be a collective of humiliated embarrassment and bashfulness, his own hand rose to ruffle his hair some, rather speechless at the moment. Luckily, he'd asked the right question as her face rose upward, a beaming countenance well noted. She seemed to be cheery once again.

"Yuki Nikka, eh? That's a nice name. Rather fitting, even. Alright, Yuki-chan. I'll be sure to remember that." He spoke, smiling as he stood there. Of course, he following action brought him to shake his head some in a stupefied manner. That sound. It was almost too cute to tolerate. Borderline disturbing, even. But he took it all with a grain of salt as he forced as mile again. Opening his mouth again, he began to speak.

"Alright, well. I suppose it's time to get you..." He began, before suddenly finding himself cut off. He'd hardly noticed the person who'd been behind him until they managed to speak. Hearing his name, though, was enough to bring him to tilt his head over his shoulder, his pale eyes catching sight of those long unseen cool blue's. Studying her face for a moment, his brow rose in interest. Had he been dreaming? Was this all one wild vision? It certainly had managed to cross the threshold from ridiculous to heinous.

Listening to her spill through her words, he glanced down at Yuki before shifting to stand beside the girl and face Skye. She certainly had a lot to say, and she was stammering over all of it. It had been quite some time, but she hadn't seemed to change at all. Strange, almost, as he felt nothing akin to what he'd once been.

"S-skye? So long to come back? I thought you had business to attend to in Arccus, though? If that's the case, there's no need to explain anything. If I remember correctly, your mother was a very busy lady. And Vegeshin, though my father in name only, was as well a busy man. Things obviously didn't go as they'd anticipated. Vegeshin works for the Terran Militia as of now, and is well aware, now, that he's not my father, biologically. That man has long since been dead." He explained, offering a mild shrug. "Things happen. And, you're certainly not interrupting anything. This is Yuki Nikka. I just ran across her and felt it a bit dangerous for her to be out here alone. This is Wing City." He finished, glancing down at Yuki. "Threats lay around every corner."

A little something seemed to snap inside of Yuki as the conversation drifted between two the two adults, mostly likely the full happiness of her mood. And finally, when speech drifted back around towards Yuki and mentions of not interrupting anything, her ears dropped and folded flat, eyes locked onto Skye with a silent stare. Who the hecking hell was this?!

She was so distracted that she completely missed the invaluably important information about the Kanahashi family relations; specifically the nature of Vegeshin. However Yuki was not a girl of temper, even if she was one of jealousy (and the obvious familiar nature between these two definitely made her jealous). So her mouth opened into a small 'o' shape to let one small squeak of a sound escape her lips.

"Hi."

And that was all she could manage. Her mind was still reeling with ideas of who this girl could be. Could it be some long-lost sister? Aunt? Mother? Daughter?! Oh please let it be any of those just so long as it wasn't a girlfriend.

Part of her relief returned as Vexion called out to her, apparently just as startled as she had been. She turned her head to match his gaze once more, nodding a little as he seemingly brushed all the time they’d spent apart aside. He understood the turmoil of war, he was a shinobi after all, and that when serving your life and time are hardly your own. This brought her eyes to soften just a little, though as a whole her face remained as emotionless as she could keep it. His words did bring a small note of caution to the forefront of her though however, that despite his recognition of her things may not exactly be as they seem. This was a Multiverse after all, she had to proceed with caution.

“Mhm,” she responded quietly, at least they were somewhat on their way of clearing up just who was who and from what timeline. Her gaze followed his to the girl as he introduced her, the blonde narrowing her eyes just a little to assert her dominance over the young Neko.

“Indeed, the unprepared don’t last long here,” she said in agreement with Vexion, her voice cold and monotone as she made her way to his side. “If you don’t mind I’ll help you take her home, we can catch up in a safer place once she’s there.”

It was now that she finally turned to fully face the girl, and introduced herself.

“Hi to you too, I’m Skye Coston,” she told Yuki, making sure she was close enough to Vexion to give off the hint that they had at least once had something between them without seeming too overbearing to Vexion... At least she hoped. “Forgive the intrusion, I was just looking for Vexion because we just have a lot of catching up to do.”

With that out of the way Skye looked back at Vexion now, refusing to let her instincts take charge and take charge to eliminate the ‘threat’ before her. Instead she’d let Vexion take control of the situation, letting things play out as they must. After all it wasn't like they were ever truly together, besides she was sure that regardless of what happened he'd aid her in her quest to find her place among the worlds as he sorted out his own path.

His eyes wandered back upon Skye for the moment, apparently trying to wrap his mind around everything that happened to be transpiring before him. As if things could have grown anymore complicated. How long had it been? Far too long, apparently. Time spent with Skye was all but a fleeting memory; instead replaced with copious amounts of cataclysm and fighting and searching. Though not as vigilant as Vegeshin, Vexion had spent a time here in Wing City catering to the innocent in the wake of crime and discord. A vast amount of time had also been spent at a local library of sorts. When in a Multiverse, knowledge was limitless. But he'd never yet come across a book that explained the anomaly that had been Ianua Aeternitatis. The Gateway To Eternity, so it had been dubbed by his father. To return to Kumogakure was but a fleeting hope these days. And with Vegeshin tied up in Militia work, and rather against disclosing information regarding the Gateway, Vexion had been hard pressed to attain any sort of information on it he could.

Snapped from his thoughtful musing, his eyes fixated themselves upon Skye's momentarily as she took up took up position beside him. His brow delicately rose in perplexed fashion as he listened to her words, his eyes flitting over to Yuki for a moment. "I...well, I wouldn't be that brash about..." He began, before falling silent as Skye then introduced herself. With a lull of his eyes, the rolling motion heavily exaggerated, he remained as he were for a short moment. Catching up to do. Wonderful. Well, if all else failed, he could possibly have her join him in searching for information on the Gateway. He remembered the time they spent together well, but he also made note of how ill at ease his heart was at that time. And how his lacking his intellectual reserve was compared to the overwhelming emotions he felt. He was certainly far more sound now than he was then. His focus was certainly upon returning home. Returning to Takara.

"Mm. Indeed. We do need to focus on getting Yuki home. It's nearing dark, now. I'm certain her parents are wondering where she is, and as far as I know, the local authorities here are about as useful as a sword in the face of...what are they called again? Those petty Aschen folk have them. The big cities in the sky. They float, and shoot out searing beams that can apparently knock Kazura on his hind quarters..." He mumbled, tapping his chin in thought. "But. Yes. We do have some catching up to do, I suspect." He explained, offering Skye a smile before suddenly catching the leer she gave the young girl before gazing upon him again.

In that very instant, Vexion's head craned somewhat, tilting as he gave Skye a glance, and then shifted to give Yuki a glance. Of course, he repeated this gesture once again before, somehow, an air of tenseness overcame him. A sudden, sheepish, chuckle escaped him as he nodded some and took a step forward to escape the sense of being 'in the middle'. A sixteen year old boy didn't need to deal with such things. Sixteen. It was beyond him. Beneath him even!

"Right. Uhm. Well. Yuki gave me the general direction prior to your arrival. She mentioned it being in that direction." He explained, jutting out a thumb as his gaze fell upon the two of them. A general, rather habitual, flutter of his other wrist straightened out the tattered ends of his late fathers attire that he wore, the ends flitting about some before falling still. "I suggest we head out, right? Are you ready, Yuki?" He inquired, offering the young girl a nice smile before his glance shifted to Skye. "I don't think you have any qualms with heading out either?"

After that... Introduction Yuki's head had turned sideways and upwards to Vexion, almost in a cat-like gesture of uncertain observation, with her ears drooping backwards from the angle. Not for a moment would she let her confidence and faith in Vexion to waver now that she had him this close! And so she stared, watching his face with eyes wide waiting for any verbal or physical cues that might give away just the matter of the situation. As conversation drew back to taking her home... She knew.

She was just an inconvenience to brush out of the way, with Skye intruding on her Vexi-time no less! This wasn't just a friend catching up! This was war! But unfortunately... Yuki was far too meek a girl to offer up any real opposition, all but folding before the words of Vexion with her mouth falling shut once more and her head turning to look down the street towards the direction of his thumb.

Oh this wouldn't do at all! Attention was barely on her for a moment even when talking about taking her home. This Skye girl had to go. She just had to! "It's that way," she mumbled, voice faltering slightly more than she wished it did. Confidence buckling she surrendered to standing distant from Vexion and started walking. But she wasn't going to cry this time, oh no she did all her crying earlier, now she was all out of self-pity. This time it was self-loathing.

She wanted to say 'Vexion just carried me down from the roof in his arms' or something, anything to shut this other girl up. Something to really thrust how kind he had been to her right up in her nose, but she wouldn't. It set her jaw to silently grind.

Though outwardly having seemingly ignored Vexion's comment about being brash, after all she'd inherited her bluntness from her father, she did feel a little bad for how she had acted. She was being rather possessive and she knew it, but who could blame her? The only man who'd paid any attention to her was being fawned over by someone else, she wasn't about to let that go unchallenged. The only competition she felt she could step aside for was his home, and whatever awaited him there. Even then, whether or not they were together, at least if he returned home he could possibly help her build a life there. Regardless now was not the time to get lost in thought, they needed to bring this girl home before they could even talk about anything. She was getting ahead of herself, letting emotion control her, she needed to calm down and focus.

Letting out a small sigh, she did manage a smirk as she playfully elbowed his side for his exaggerated eye roll, but left it at that. He was right, the sun was sinking ever closer to the horizon and when it set there would be those that needed to prey on others for various reasons... Just like her brother. Her eyes winced just a bit at that thought, but she pushed it aside so she could smile back at Vexion. It was then his gaze began to dart between her and the girl, earning a cocked eyebrow from the blonde. Had he truly noticed? His stepping away seemed to seal that into fact, earning a small blush from Skye as her gaze followed him. She reached up to brush her bangs in front of his eyes, making her failure to fully control hiding her emotions less apparent to the others. Spying him through the spikes she nodded in response to his question, bringing her arms to cross over her chest once more.

The girl quietly responded to Vexion, bringing Skye’s gaze back to her once more. She visually looked defeated, like she was trying to sort out her own emotions. Skye felt pity for her, for it was obvious her actions had really hurt this girl and for what? To show that she had ‘first dibs’ on someone that she may not even have? She sighed a little, realizing how stupid she’d been. She was letting her emotions get the best of her during this time of uncertainty, and needed to set this right. She didn’t want to seem too obvious about this though, so she made sure her next comment wouldn’t seem out of place for a guardian.

“...You shouldn’t walk too far away from him, the further away you are the more likely something can happen,” Skye said bluntly, struggling to keep the sound of jealousy out of her trained monotone voice. Maybe this would patch things up a little...

Maybe.

The lingering silence left much to be contemplated over. Skye had no qualms in driving an elbow into his side before he took place a somber some steps away from the two of them. What had begun as awkward, and somewhat silly, had descended into a bitter tasting scenario. The sooner he could bring it to its conclusion, the better. So as he stood there, and allowed his fixated gaze to remain, he swiftly ran through the calculations that hung around in his head. Had they left now, perhaps they could make it back to Yuki's home before things became too hectic regarding her parents. He certainly didn't need to linger and explain himself to her guardians if he could avoid it.

Cut from his thoughts, though, by Yuki's voice, his eyes trailed over onto her. The mundane tone that left her gave way that she, obviously, was no longer enjoying herself. That couldn't be helped. He hadn't counted on Skye dropping out of the blue either. It left him baffled. They'd have some discussing to do regarding that, certainly. It only became further awkward in his head, though, as the scene played itself out. Her initial reaction had left him rather taken aback. Rather than a simple warm greeting, he'd seen it written all over the blonde girls face. He'd seen that rekindled flame of sorts. And as he thought about that, he slowly shook his head to disregard such a thing. He hoped he could nonchalantly play things off. Perhaps if he made no effort to show such an interest, the topic would arise.

And as Yuki took off before him, already starting stride, Skye's voice caught his attention, thusly shifting his thoughts to the young girl. He couldn't seem to fathom her sudden shift in attitude. Was all this really happening, now? Was it more than just a fangirlish reaction? The more he thought about it, the more he solidified the theory she had some sort of fondness for him. She didn't appear far from his age. She didn't honestly think he had any sort of returned feelings for her, did she? This fanclub. This whole ordeal was rather ridiculous. I mean, it was obvious when he saw that picture of Vegeshin. All of it was outlandish. And yet, she was obviously very troubled at the moment. It was enough to bring him to shake his head again, slowly turning to follow her.

"It's fine, Skye. If she wants some space, by all means I won't deny her that. It's enough to be a few steps behind her. She is, of course, somewhat old enough not to need someone to hold her hand, at least." He explained, a step or two behind the young girl as he followed. "Yuki-Chan, I assume your parents won't be too displeased, will they? I mean, I would like to avoid a run in with them. If anything, tell them a good friend made sure you got home safe and sound." He continued. Of course, the topic of taking her home certainly happened to be bothering her, but he wasn't aware of the fact. And he wasn't sure what else to speak about. Not with Skye around. His mind was already scattered enough as it were.

Yuki tried to keep herself distracted with her own thoughts as she stared at the ground, tried to block out the presence of the other two by cataloging what homework she had and what other things she needed to do for school. But they wouldn't shut up! Gawd, it was annoying! Skye's words did little to appease the girl as she continued her almost direct march down the street, not waiting up for the pair if they wanted to go at a casual pace, and Vexion hardly helped.

Oh yeah, didn't need to hold her hand, just needed to escort her home, like she hadn't lived in the city all her life. Didn't need to hold her in his arms, just take her to bottom of the building. That last thought she immediately quashed with guilt, reminding herself that Vexion was just taking care of her and that he really liked her. Momentarily in a daze her ears perked up again as her head raised just in time to see the pole she was about to walk into. Two palms thrust out to catch the street lamp, grasping onto the cool metal and suddenly swinging to the side. She stumbled when she let go, but tried to play it off as intentional.

And then he mentioned her parents.

Her back stiffened upright as her movement suddenly became awkward and mechanical. "Uhm..." she answered with her eyes drifting upwards. What could she say? 'Oh I was out with a boy my age'? That would go down real well. "Well... They shouldn't mind too much. I usually don't come home immediately after school." She swallowed heavily, but with her head forward it was a little hard to tell. "Don't you worry about me, Vexi-Chan~," she all but sung, happy to have a chance to dig back at Skye for before, "I can take care of myself. I don't need a boy to look after me." Pivoting on the spot she winked towards him and started walking backwards, only to stumble on the gutter and quickly spin back in the right direction.

Reign it in, Yuki! You could do this! You could be a confident, adorable, everything-he-wants girl!

Vexion's response was swift, responding that Yuki deserved to have some space to herself if that was what she truly wanted. The way he spoke of her being 'somewhat' old enough did help quell the blonde's jealousy though, and she let out a small sigh as her eyes traced the figure of the Neko. She cocked an eyebrow at her antics of twirling around the poll, then listened as Vexion added that he didn't want to run into her parents. This told the blonde that Vexion was merely trying to do the right thing, and that there was nothing she had to worry about. The young girl was just fangirling as young girls tend to do, there was nothing to be upset about. After all, he was quite the sight to see. With the mentioning of her parents though, the stiffening reaction by Yuki seemed to tell the story that her parents would want an explanation, and the awkwardness of her response solidified this fact for Skye.

Skye could only roll her eyes at Yuki's attempts to show off, her voice becoming sing songy and her twirl almost ended on her crashing down. The girl was certainly not nearly as mature or experienced as the two of them, and Skye started to feel embarrassed that she'd even been jealous of this teenager. Still, she wanted to leave a good impression on Vexion, as well as make up to Yuki for her actions earlier on. So, with another sigh she turned her gaze towards the sky as she quietly spoke.

"I can take her home, me being a female will make it not as awkward as you taking her home. Besides I can take the blame, say I promised to take her home but I lost track of time," Skye offered to Vexion, though loud enough for Yuki to object if she wanted to. She was sure the girl would in her attempts to impress Vexion, but at least this way she was covering her bases by showing that she was trying to be nice and take care of the young girl as well. Still, as the wind played with her bangs Skye closed her eyes and tried to imagine what the talk was going to be like once this small side quest was over.

Skye just hoped that the catching up would be somewhat enjoyable and that she'd have a chance with him still... Though if this wasn't possible at least she had hope that he'd do what he could to help her. She just had to wait and see, while hoping that her being mostly quiet wasn't going to set off any alarms in that violet head of his.

Despite being lost in thought, words amiss upon his tongue as he strove for conversation material, he'd all but missed Yuki's antics. Thought at first glance in seeing her nearly collide with a pole, he kept his eyes fixated on her, a brow arisen in the wake of her silly gestures and the like. What was possibly running through that head of hers. Her coy behavior was hardly inadmissible. And if he could ascertain what she'd been trying to do, Skye could as well. The silly girl didn't really understand things, obviously. A fanclub and all was one thing to deal with, certainly. Surely he found some interest in the fact that there happened to be those out there interested in his family. As if he could come to fathom the idea that, somehow, in some way, there was a following behind him and his last name; almost a fame of sorts. It wasn't quite something he could wrap his mind around. But when it came down to it. There was nothing beyond fascination for such a thing. Her flirtatious gestures were brushed away rather easily.

Watching her spin, and somewhat stumble, a hand raised some in a forewarning gesture before she managed to catch herself, that very arm all but falling back to his side again as he shook his head. Clumsy thing. For what she appeared to be; feline attributes in nature, she was surely clumsy enough. Listening to her words, a single eye fell shut. Again with the flirtatious, coy, tone. The wink thrown his way was returned with a simple grin and a roll of his eyes. As she spun around again to continue, his eyes danced from side to side to take in the coming houses he began to see in the near distance. Hopefully it had been one of these?

"If you say so, Yuki-Chan. I'm not here to take care of you. Merely keep an eye out for you." He explained in a soft, warm, tone. He couldn't be completely cold to the girl. Just direct enough to not lead her on, if that's what she believed him to be doing.

As Skye offered a few words, Vexion's eyes gently cast themselves upon her. Again, taking in sight of her was akin to seeing a ghost. Something he hadn't seen in a long, long, time. And unlike he, she appeared to be changeless in a sense. Though sixteen, he'd surely appeared more rough, and mature; upper torso draped in an old heirloom of his true fathers, even. She appeared as she had the day she vanished.

"Oh? I don't want it to be a burden on you. It's not a burden on me at all, so I'd feel terrible to put such a thing on you. Besides. She apparently has knowledge of me. I'm not a complete stranger, I guess. It's not a problem." He explained, before smiling. "But, thank you for the generous offer. I'm sure it's not too far, now, anyway." He finished, before glancing back upon the young girl. "And, even if I have to speak with her father, I'm sure it won't be too awkward if it comes down to who I am. To her, I guess I'm someone famous. I assume her parents will react in understanding, if it comes down to it." He tacked on, suddenly thinking about it. Perhaps Vegeshin had such unfortunate luck as to meet the parents, too? Who knew, really.

"The real question is, where to wander off after? I'm sure you have questions, as do I." He spoke out, eyes slowly moving to linger on Skye.

Unfortunately, certain factors could not be drawn out any longer. Home was not as far from where Yuki had been as she would like to pretend. Her footsteps slowed as she found her oversized ears drooping once more. Not just her ears, either. Her entire body seemed to sag ever so slightly as she drew closer to the door. Time to put on a brave face, Yuki.

"Here we are," she announced, forcing a smile to her face and fishing a key from her cat-covered backpack. She muttered something under her breath that didn't sound all that happy before her eyes shifted up to stare at the two, smile gone and replaced with a flat-lipped glance. "You don't need to escort me in, I'm fine," she added hastily, waving her hand with the key in it as if to shoo the pair off before she added (somewhat insincerely), "Oh and Skye it was nice meeting you."

Her tail twitched noticeably behind her as those words left her lips.

And without even giving a pause for them to say goodbye (or rushing to get the hug from Vexi-Chan that she wanted) she headed up the three steps leading to the door, fumbled with her key and slipped forwards, pausing only when half way through to glance back as if she wanted to say something, but then hurrying inside and shoving the door closed behind her.

Stupid stupid stupid day.

After leaving Yuki behind, Skye had suggested they make their way towards the Gardens to have a safer place to catch up. This way they wouldn't be interrupted, at least that was what she was thinking. She still felt bad for the way she'd treated the girl, but there was nothing she could do about it now. She'd tried to make it up to her but Yuki had rejected her help, so the best course of action was just to put it behind her and focus on what to do next.

Despite the wide array of flowers and beautiful plants around them as they entered the park, Skye couldn't help but continually glance at Vexion. It was as if his appearance just drew her eyes beyond her control, to take in the rough and mature appearance he'd gained in the time since she'd seen him last. Had so much time really passed in this realm compared to Arccus? She was almost afraid to ask how many years it had been now, and a sinking feeling in her chest told her it was folly to try and believe that there was still room for her in his heart. She didn't want to give up hope, but she was prepared for the worst. All she could do was begin the conversation, and see what happened from there.

When she finally tore her eyes away from his she looked at the stars above, which struggled to shine through the bright lights of the city around them. It was a pity really, she so loved the way the night sky looked out in the desolate wastes she'd spent most of her life. Still, even that couldn't compare to the wide selection of flora around them. Despite that she couldn't focus on the beauty, all she could do was think of all the uncertainty that awaited her.

"Well, we're here..." She said quietly, reaching up to tuck some of her long hair behind an ear before crossing her arms over her chest. She slowed her pace and sighed, looking towards the ground now as bowing her head brought her bangs in front of her eyes once more. Where could she even begin? Would he even care? She was starting to question everything about this situation now, the uneasy fear swelling in her chest leaving her so uncomfortable she couldn't even hide it from her face. Still the managed to fight her way through it, and started the story which she promised she'd tell.

"I'll keep it short I guess, to not bore you, but... like I said a lot has happened, and that's why I was gone for so long. After father was able to eliminate his guilt like the reincarnation was meant to do, and he saved the world from disaster the gods broke into a bloody civil war in their realm. In the destruction that followed there, Vauron was killed... As well..." She closed her eyes to keep him from seeing the hurt she undoubtedly could hear in her voice, "...Kadeo. In the end the rebellion was defeated, but besides a punishment they remained gods of the realm. That's the main reason Vegetra and I left, we felt as if we fought in vain and that our brother's deaths were for nothing..." She shook her head, letting out a saddened sigh.

"We were offered the chance to be gods, but an immortal empty life isn't one to live. I also didn't want to live on that world after what had happened either, which is why I chose to come back here... Even though I have no idea what I'm going to do now... That's why I wanted to find you, to figure out what you were planning to do and... To see if there was any way that you'd be able to help me find my path..." Even if it's by your side as a friend or a lover. She just couldn't bring herself to say that though, she was too scared to ask him directly. She could only hope he understood how confused and lost she was, and would remember the connection they had...

Maybe the combination of those things would drive him to give her the help she so desperately needed.
