Her actual family history is unknown to her, so her last name and what her real first name may have been is a mystery. She was dumped when she was just a newborn but a forty year old woman took her in and called her the Winter Child as it was a freezing Winter with heavy snow when she was found and the woman found it quite amazing that she was still alive in that weather. Winter doesn't exactly like the fact that her name was given to her because she was found abandoned on a Winter's night, having a name that links to something horrible puts a sour taste in her mouth but she is very grateful that she was saved and keeps herself known as the Winter Child.

Personality
Winter can be quite shy around people who she's not used to being around. Sometimes she might find it hard to speak to someone because she simply has no idea what she should say to them. This depends on the person though, if politely approached and asked how she is doing, she'll have no trouble replying. If she were approached in a more energetic way or asked something like 'why is your hair so white?' or 'are you a ghost?' she'll feel a bit awkward and find it more troublesome to reply even though she might know what to say. Winter looks approachable but she tends to not be the type to talk to others. She wishes for the courage to actually talk to someone since she loves people but she's always afraid, as she knows that not everyone is what they seem and she would very much not like to be fooled again.
When Winter does open up to someone she can actually be quite blunt and sarcastic, she's very honest and this isn't really a good thing. If you ask her if you look fat in those jeans, be warned she will answer truthfully. When she is annoyed or angry with someone she will tell them straight if she's comfortable around them, if it were a stranger she would just give them icy glares and pretend they're not there even if they approach her. If she was annoyed about something in general that may have happened, she would just be frowning and pouting and sighing all day like a baby.
