backstory: yukino always had a knack for machinery he would often invent things for day to day life, a robot to help with homework or chores or something to assist in repairs.
his parents were working full time so yukino, his younger sister aki, who was 10 rarely saw their parents. but.. then men in white lab coats came and took them away to a secret facility where they injected them both with that the scientists called "type 10 dusk serum", an experimental, dna altering chemical which would allow them to manipulate shadows at will... his sister was too young to handle the alteration and she died soon after, right in front of yuiknos eyes. yukino was able to survive, but at a price. a second personality who's name is malith; this alternate personality came out during one of the tests, he slaughtered all of the active staff, leaving entrails and an occasional finger behind him, this allowed yukino to be free.. but he need a way home, so he developed nano, an ai capable of thinking for itself. who reffers to yukino as big brother and implanted her into death messenger, an experimental space fighter which could transform into a humanoid robot he left that planet which the scientists took him to and began his journey to find his family and become the best gun for hire in the universe.
