Marigold is of rather average height for a woman has a well toned body while remaining slim and muscular, yet curvaceous. Her skin has a rich tan color to it, like some light brown sugar. She has silver tinted hair that is always kept curly and short. Her eyes are a brown so light that it might make someone think of honey. Her clothing style is generally a neutral-colored tank top, thin baggy pants that blow around in the wind, and sandals. She feels self-conscious about her bust size, as well as believing her ears are a little bit too big.

Abilities

Gin-Gin Fruit: She has eaten the Gin-Gin fruit. She has the power to create silver from her body. She generally takes from her breast mass, feeling that they get in the way. She uses this to create a blade on the bladeless handle she carries, and also to make silver bullets for her pistol. With the blades, she can create anything from a tiny dagger to a giant buster sword. If either weapon breaks, or she wills it, she must return the silver to her body. She is exceptionally decent with her blade skill, but is an even better marksman. She can also create silver shields, temporary silver armor, and things of the sort. Even little silver trinkets!

Equipment: She will generally have a carpenter's hammer and nails on a tool belt that is constantly wrapped around her hips. Some other construction tools linger around in there, but those are generally what she uses. She also keeps a tiny bottle of rum stored in that belt of hers for occasional sipping. As far as weaponry goes, she carries a sword's handle, the grip being rather long, and a silver flintlock pistol that is never loaded.

Inner Soul

⌈Habits Quirks⌋
✩Thumb Biting || When bored or nervous, she'll press her thumb to her lips and give it little bites.
✩Blinking || She just blinks a lot. Like, a lot.
✩Blushing || It isn't hard to get her to blush. When she does, her face turns silver rather than red.

⌈Likes⌋
♄Meats and Sweets || Because what's better than coming home to some fresh meat for supper after a long day at work? She's also particularly fond of tarts, cakes, candies, etc. Icing on the metaphorical, and sometimes literal, cake.
♄Booze || Strawberry Brandy is her favorite. Sweeter alcohols tickle her fancy.
♄Adventure || When she was with the Marines, she enjoyed being out on the sea and going places, seeing new cities and people. The world is absolutely filled with incredible marvels and she'd love to see all of them.

⌈Dislikes⌋
✖Her Breasts || While she's a fan of breasts in general, hers just feel like they get in the way of everything. Fighting, construction, conversations... It's just a hassle she hates dealing with.
✖Marines || As time went on, she decided that she didn't like the Marine life very much. They were all so self-righteous and feeling that their way was the best for everyone. She wasn't a fan of that and decided after deserting that it was probably for the best.
✖The Cold || Cold weather, snow especially, remind her of home far too much. She's trying to move on from her days of loneliness after all, so thinking about her first home is counter-productive. Also the warmth just feels so much better.

⌈Fears⌋
✖Drowning || Even before consuming a Devils Fruit, she feared drowning. She never went swimming out past her waist due to this fear.
✖Death || A natural fear, she doesn't want to die without experiencing more in life. There's still a lot she never got to see or do or have, and until she has done everything, death is not welcome with her.
✖Devils Fruits Fights || Combat between Devils Fruits users sounds incredibly frightening to her. She's never witnessed one, but the Devils Fruits hold a lot of power. Crossing abilities like that could seriously wreck some stuff, and even cost lives.

⌈Flaws⌋
✖Gin-Gin Drawbacks || Drawbacks to the Gin-Gin Fruit's powers include exhaustion/fatigue, heavier than normal body weight, and that the silver is in fact created from her own body. She must transform some of her mass into the silver produced. If she does not recover the silver, it could leave her feeling ill until she can eat enough to recover her body mass. Silver is also not the strongest metal, her weapons rarely lasting more than a few hits. Of course, because it is a Devils Fruit, she also cannot swim.
✖Motivation || Sometimes she just doesn't want to do things. She can generally be "convinced" to do things with promises of booze and/or foods.
✖Music || Despite her understanding music and wanting to become a musician, she actually sucks when it comes to playing instruments. One might prefer to listen to nails on a chalkboard.

⌈Secrets⌋
⌛While she loves a life of adventure and wonder, she wouldn't mind settling down and starting a family sometime. Of course, she never openly states that... unless she's drunk so far under the table she thinks she's on the ceiling.
⌛Her current identity is not the one given at birth. If the Marines were to find her true identity, she could be prosecuted.

⌈Personality⌋
Marigold is incredibly laid-back. She's never really lazy, but she doesn't like working too much either. She loves to go drinking, and holds her liquor better than most men. She also loves music and, as such, has begun to take up the accordion. She's loyal to those she cares about to a fault, ready to lay down her life in defense of another. She treats everyone the same, and that treatment is extremely casual. She could meet the king of kings and her greeting would be her normal, "Hey. What's up?" And if she offers to buy someone a drink, that is her showing either her utmost respect or sympathy for someone.

Memoirs

⌈Romantic Interest⌋
None as of yet

⌈History⌋
Hailing from a small frozen village in the Ice Continent that she absolutely refuses to disclose, she lived the first twelve years of her life in the blistering colds. She mostly lived alone with her mother and dog, only seeing her father on brief visits back from his time at sea. Being a man of the Marines, he was often out for months at a time, sometimes even years, away from his family. The young girl, always restless as a child and impulsive in the worst kind of ways, decided that she wanted to see her dad at any cost. So she left for the Marines when she was twelve. A young and tender age to join, especially for a young woman, she put in the extra efforts to make it in. With time and effort, she was made an honorary Marine at 14.

One of her first missions was to combat a small-time pirate crew who were stirring up some trouble. So she and her shipmates set out to sea, ready for combat. She was pretty excited to be with the Marines, but she'd had no word from her father since joining, nevermind seeing him. It was all seeming like a lost cause. That was how she felt until it came to the thrill of the battle. The sound of cannons blasting and ships smashing to board was thrilling! The Marines didn't seem to be having much fun with it, though the pirates were having a blast. If it weren't for the fact that the pirates got wiped out, she'd have wished she was with them instead.

The men were ordered to search the ship and seize any cargo they could. Luck would have it that the ship's real treasure was hidden away where she was sent to search. The child discovered a lone chest in a dusty room. The chest had to have been recently hid there, perhaps before the attack, as it was practically spotless. With a big grin, she smashed open the top and reached inside expecting gold. Instead of gold, however, she discovered something far more valuable. She hadn't understood it at the time, but these pirates had just encountered a Devils Fruit. To her, she just saw lunch. A sweet-looking, juicy piece of giant tropical fruit. After checking to make sure no one else was around, she bit into it excitedly. Right off the bat, it was horrible. It tasted like iron and salt. But taught never to waste food, she downed the whole damn fruit. Almost instantly, her skin and clothes all became glossed in a silver coating before seeming to soak into her flesh.

After that, she realized what she had done. In hindsight, she recalled that the Marines were out to destroy the Devils Fruits again, and she had just consumed one. If they ever found out, that'd be it for her. When they returned to shore, she slipped away as soon as possible and hid from the Marines. she'd have to desert. For her own safety, she fled the Marines and went AWOL.

Three years had passed as she trained with her Devils Fruit powers, finding many interesting and practical uses for them. At the age of seventeen, she finally found a place to settle down. Much unlike her hometown, the port town of Nanohana was practically in desert territory. Finding a love for the heat and ocean in one spot, she decided to stay. Assuming a new name, Marigold Sterling, she started a new life. A kind shipwright and his musician of a wife took her in. It was only supposed to be for a few days at first, but as she took an interest in both ships and music, they wanted to keep her around like the daughter they never had. It was as if someone had blessed them with the perfect child. The woman taught her to play music, to vocalize and even gave her her favorite accordion. The man taught her all about ships. How they work, the best ships as examples, how to build and repair... All of that jazz. And in her next nine years there, she learned the shipwrighting trade from him and was named a shipwright herself. Now, at age twenty-six, she can feel life calling her to adventure. After all, she won't be young forever. With a hug and a kiss goodbye to her foster parents, she set off on her own. [[More to be added on how she joined the Void Pirates after discussion with GM.]]

Oh, what an interesting day this was turning out to be. Through the events of the bar sat a spectator that probably would have stood out, had there not been a much more interesting fight going on to draw eyes from this figure. Being of dark skin and silver hair, she wasn't your average-looking bar patron. Though in this world, it did take all sorts. For now, she played the role of a guest in the play hall of this bar, watching with an amused smile at everything that happened. She was ready to see a Marine get his ass kicked by this vagabond, knowing full well from her time with them that the Marines were generally not as tough as they seemed. But what she saw was far more interesting than a beating. "Devils Fruits..." She whispered as her grin widened. The bullet entered some kind of... portal? Like a magic door, almost. The entrance at his face, the exit at his feet. She'd be lying if she said it didn't look badass. He just stood there and let it happen. It was this that would lead this man to forever be in the presence of the Silver Star.

The very instant they ran out of the bar, their observer threw up her hood to cover her face from immediate view and followed suit. Using his portals as a staircase, hm? His Devils Fruit had many uses, it seemed. There was a certain sparkle of interest and fascination in her light caramel eyes as she headed towards the docks. If he was a pirate like she thought he might be, he'd have a ship. Probably some puny thing since there was no one with him, but a ship nonetheless. A man with a fruit power like him had to have a good ship. As a master shipwright, such a thing was just as interesting as his power. The two ran past the direction to the docks, perhaps to avoid any Marines along the way. Fortunately for her, she looked like a... somewhat ordinary citizen. She was clearly not from here, but she certainly didn't match anything on any wanted poster. At least not anything that wasn't twelve years old. She was perfectly in the clear as she made her way to the docks, making sure to keep her hood on and back covered the whole way there.

The only non-Naval ship there that wasn't the trade ships she passed on her way into town two days ago was a rather large ship. It couldn't be sailed by one man alone... or maybe it could, given that portal power she saw. But the master shipwright's eyes lit up as she stared at the glorious vessel, nearly salivating at the sight. "B-Beautiful... I've never seen anything like it..." Getting up close to the ship, just enough to be at the edge of the dock, she reached out to try and touch the ship. Managing a reach that only grazed her fingertips, the wood was smooth. It was definitely special, something she couldn't quite identify right off the bat. Reaching to her utility belt, she pulled out a small bottle and took a tiny swig, corking it and pocketing it back as she tried to find a way on board. "'Take your grappling hook' Ma said. 'You'll need it' she said. Why didn't I listen?" She sighed at herself and checked to make sure she was out of view. Once she was positive that she was, she reeled back her hand and threw a chain link that shone with a brilliant silver as her chest mass decreased a noticable amount. The makeshift grappling hook from her own Devils Fruit power served as a rope to climb up onto the ship, this work of art. Once she was on board, she recalled the silver chain to her body, disappearing into her sleeve as her chest grew heavier once more.

Before she could even begin looking around, portals spawned around the ship and the vessel began preparing itself for sail. It started leaving the dock on its own, leaving the girl with an expression that spoke both fear and excitement. It wouldn't be good if she were to be caught sneaking aboard a pirate ship... But wouldn't it be worth it to investigate such a strangely-made ship that could operate off of a Devil Fruit user's power? With a shrug, she muttered "Eh, fuck it" and got to examining the ship. It all seemed to be in tip-top condition, nothing to really mend or repair. Whoever made this ship was a high-caliber wright. Definitely at least on her level, if not higher. Meeting this wright was definitely on her list of interests now, right after this pirate. Truth be told, from her time in the Navy, she'd always admired pirates. She'd even had her curiosities and musings about becoming one. As a creature of whim, she was half-tempted to force her way onto this crew. But for the time being, she'd inspect the mast and other ship parts until she was discovered and confronted. She meant no harm and was clearly just looking, after all.

-Shiroa Nuosa-

Today had been rather boring at first for Shiroa, waking up, getting ready, and heading to work at a local bar. She wasn't terribly fond of having to resort to such a mundane life style after everything she'd seen as a pirate, but unfortunately without a crew to take her in, and with her funds quite low as it was, she didn't have much choice. On the bright side the job paid quite well so she'd managed to save up a fair bit of money so far.

The day went by uneventfully, making dish after dish for the customers here and there, everything went fine, that is, until around lunch time. It was business as usual, even when the bartender slipped her a note a certain marine had shown up again. That particular marine was a well known bastard who tried to abuse his authority frequently, but otherwise wasn't much trouble unless provoked. But, judging by a gunshot moments later, some idiot did just that. What's worse, the gun shot startled Shiroa, as she was carrying two plates of freshly cooked food up to the counter for the waiters to deliver she dropped both plates on the floor.

Balling her fists in anger at wasting two perfectly good meals, she immediately stormed out of the kitchen and searched for the one responsible, she wasn't surprised to hear the marine had already rushed out, and apparently the man who'd provoked him had (wisely) hightailed it as well. It wasn't terribly difficult for her to take a wild guess what he'd do, after all he'd technically picked a fight with a marine, abuse of authority or not he'd committed a crime now, they'd be after him to save face if nothing else.

She made her way as quickly as she could towards the docks, it was obvious which ship would be the pirate's. She rushed right up to the pair of marines standing guard, and wasted no time on them, taking one out with a solid uppercut to the jaw and the other with a roundhouse to the head, leaving both unconscious and groaning, "Hmph, and i thought i was the one with a glass jaw" she quipped with a grin as she went right up onto the ship.

Rather than mess around on deck, she went below and found the kitchen, and began a proper inspection, the food stores were decent, but the entire kitchen clearly didn't get much real use and wasn't even clean, at least not by her standards. So she decided to be a bit generous for now while waiting on the man she was after and went about cleaning things up.

Just as Jarren thought, they sent out a couple ships to take out Jarren's. "This should be fun," Jarren said to himself as the set the ship on a steady path away from the island. He went to the stern of the ship and looked at the enemy that was coming his way. Two Marine vessels made for capturing, if not killing, pirates and their ships. "Not bad, not bad," Jarren said with a smile, anxious for the battle to come.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The sound of 3 cannons' fire could clearly be heard.

Splash! Splash!

Only two shot hitting the water, the third shot nowhere to be heard. Anyone inside the ship would have no idea what happened unless they were looking out a window towards Jarren. In which case they would have seen that Jarren caught the cannonball barehanded. He didn't even use his portals to catch the massive hunk of metal. "Thanks for the ammo! I was starting to run low!" Jarren mockingly yelled out at the Marines, not that he was really lying though. He only had two cannonballs left; not including the one he just caught.

Jarren formed a blade with his hand and swiped it sideways. Just as he did this the main masts of both the other ships fell over into the water. They were basically dead in the water now. The other Marine vessels in the harbor either wouldn't stand a chance against Jarren's ship or wouldn't be fast enough to catch him. So for now they were safely out of rage.

With safety assured Jarren went below deck and started towards the room he had given Jezebel. He figured he would see if everything was okay for her and check if there was anything she needed while she stayed on his ship. On his way he figured he better check the ship to make sure no one came on while he was gone. To do this he sent out a wave, so to speak, of his portal through the entire interior of the ship. Being about an inch thick it would be easy to see. Although since it covered the entire volume of each room it would be impossible to avoid. Other than detect objects these portals didn't really do anything. During this sweep he found there was two others besides Jezebel and himself. For now Jarren decided it would be best to make sure Jezebel was okay.

Jarren blinked a couple times at the sudden outburst from the girl that came from inside his ship. It was an odd turn of events but it didn't bother Jarren really. "Welcome aboard. You're welcome to join the crew though it is officially just you and me then. We have Jezebel, who I am taking to a new island and some other intruder checking out the ship." Either Jarren was very confident or he didn't take the intruder seriously. Either way he didn't seem too bothered by having someone on his ship that shouldn't be. "And I don't advise to damage my ship," Jarren walked through a portal and came out behind the girl. "She is from the Death Isles and is not to be taken lightly. By the way, the name is Jarren, captain of the Void Pirates and this ship."

As he introduced himself a bullet came flying in and hit Jarren's head. The bullet crunched up as if it had hit a steel wall and then fell to the ground. Jarren rubbed his head and looked to where the bullet came from, looking a bit annoyed rather than in pain. "Geeze, I just can't get away from these blasted Marines can I?" Jarren asked himself as he looked out to the incoming vessel. It was a battleship class and easily outmatched Jarren's ship. This time it was clear this wouldn't be so easy to win. Jarren opened portals around Jezebel and the other intruder on the ship and spoke into them. "If you are willing to fight to keep this ship afloat get topside and be ready to fight." Jarren then looked to the girl that had come about earlier, "You better be ready to fight, and this looks like a decently ranked Marine's ship this time. Won't be as easy as fighting off the last group." Jarren set his ship's course towards the Marine vessel and got it ready for avoiding hits to take the fight directly to the enemy ship itself.

"There they are, the Void Pirates. Now it is time to take them out before they get any further!" The Marine captain yelled out as his men got ready for battle.
