Delw Night

Hello My name is Dlew Night and I am a series 500 Android at your service.

0 · 1,024 views · located in The Nightwing

a character in “The Nightwing's Voyage”, as played by zeno3111

Description

Name: Dlew Night
Age: appears 25
Gender:Male
Hair color: dark blue
eye color: dark green

Dlew's main job was to navigate, and keep MAK from going rogue. He would also be needed to communicate with other species that did not know the "mother" language. And of course, help with engineering if Bond ever need's assistance.

Dlew wears a pirate raider outfit that he got when he was put into a infamous pirate crew (The Night's Blade) and always seems to be devoid of emotion (even when he spends his time drawing/sketching). Dlew has a Bar code on his wrist and right under it is a number that says 500 (this states that he is a 500 series android and the bar code is so you know it isn't a person pretending to be a android so they can get a better job). Dlew uniform has a gold trim down the front were it gets buttoned and its black with black shoes and pants with a dark blue collar and cuffs and a belt that is on the outside across his waist and he has a small brown satchel that slings from his right sholder to the left side of his waist.

Personality

My character Is an android that lacks emotion and usally sits around and draws what he see's, but when he his given any type of order he drops what he is doing and obeys it without hesitation. Delw is always In his uniform and never seems to wear anything else. Dlew also walks with a small limp that no one would notice if they weren't looking or didn't know about and he seems to like seeing new places. There is a rare time when you see Dlew with emotion on his face but if you see it it usally dosen't last long.

Note:The creators of the androids made it so they don't feel or have emotion but some times some androids get the ability to have some basic emotions. This has stumped the Scientists for as long as they can remember wondering how it happens, that is why the 700's were made but the scientists didn't do it right and ended up with billions of people dead.

Equipment

A sketch book and pen, and a small brown satchle which he keeps them in. a silver ring that he wears when he draws, has gears imprinded on the sides. Dlew also has a portable chart for viewing the ships current path and destination.

History

My character is a series 500 android that was majorly used as navigators, interspecies translation, Communications Systems Technicians, and engineers (they can learn more skills but not anything that kills a person) Since the 500 series androids were made to be emotionless many people abused that and many were killed, so only a few remain and many are shunned by people because they are artificially made and different. The series 700 androids were made to have a little more emotion but a year after their creation almost all of them went insaine and sluagtered everything in their paths and so all androind manufacturing plants were shut down and all series 700 androids were destroyed.

Dlew was found in ruins of a old civilized planet that was where the most of the series 700 androids were being made, but that is where most of the chaos went down when the 700's went mad and slugtered everything. Dlew was found by pirates/raiders and was put into there crew as a navigator but they got attacked by a very violent group of pirates that came abored and and when things got rough Rina (some one he could consider a friend) told him to hide. Then when everything calmed down he peeked out of his hiding spot (a cabinat in the kitchen) he was spotted and captured bye them and when they got the treasure from the valt, they threw all of the dead bodys in the air lock and jetisoned them in to space.

Dlew noticed that a number of the crew escaped. When he was "a part of their crew" they would torture him and abuse him. They would put stuff on his head and shoot it off because they knew he would have no reaction. They would also have him get their food for them and when he brought it they would say he got it wrong and beat him. They also feed him poorly giving him a small amount of water in a small glass and a small pice of bread. Then they tossed him like trash when they got bored of him on a major docking planet and left.

He then stumbled around looking for a crew that would take him but no one wanted a beat up android after stumbling around enough he collapsed on a platform that had a rather nice ship (the nightwing) on it but he felt like he had used up the rest of his energy like he couldn't move another muscle, so he fell unconsis and hoped his friend Rina was alright because he knew she was still alive.

Note: when he got tossed off the ship he was wandering around for a few days with no food.
Note: the series 400, 500, and 700 androids have to eat like normal humans and they age but even slower than humans and can feel pain if it is severe enough.
Note: the series 700's are like humans they have blood, organ's, ect. but that is all artifically made.
Note: the series 600's are combat androids that are made of flesh and blood like the 700's but have no emotion.
Note: no one knows what happend on the planet where Androids were massed produced.

So begins...

Dlew listened idly as conversations flew around, but remained tuned out of each. His attention was completely focused on his drawing and his hopes that nothing would go wrong and no one would get hurt. Dlew snapped back to reality when Eddie and Saein began getting slightly hostile, and his sketching accommodated it, the picture turning becoming a series 700 android factory. There were pods everywhere, and soldiers all over the place shooting at everything, normal people and androids alike. What was strange to Dlew was that he felt as if he’d been there, but couldn’t remember it at all, other than fleeting memories that seemed to materialize from nothing. This made Dlew angry.

Without thinking, Dlew ripped the out the paper in a rage and moved in an irritated fashion towards somewhere to dispose of the picture. Throwing it away, he finally sat back down, shame evident in his movements as he knew he’d just displayed anger again. Even though it was on a smaller scale, he couldn’t let any emotion out at all.

"Cookies are done"

Upon hearing Minn announce the good news, Dlew went up to the counter and eyed the cookies. Next to him, Eddie touched one and let out a stifled scream as he burnt his hand then attempted to look as if nothing had happened. Dlew smiled a bit as he found it somewhat interesting that just moments before, Minn has also burnt herself, though on the tray. “When will they be ready?” he asked in a rather curious tone.

Dlew was intrigued by the cookies as he wondered what they tasted like, and if they were any comparison to those served on the Nights Blade. Once, Dlew remembered, Rina had made a little flower cake, and he recalled how everyone on the ship had begged her to make more. She insisted however that it was a treat, and that she’d surprise them by making treats every now and then, from then on. These were some of the happy thoughts, but Dlew was quickly drawn from them as reality struck. He sat now waiting patiently for the cookies to be ready for consumption.

Saein added a little bit of warm water and explained the proper way to treat burns. “It’s simple, really. The water definitely has to be cooler than your body, but it doesn’t have to be cold. When you use cold water, your hand will hurt because of the cold and that will make you stop too soon.” She grabbed Eddie by the arm and stuck his hand in the same stream of water. “You big child” she chuckled “I have just the right thing for you.” She took a small tin from one of her pockets, there were three pieces of candy left in it. She offered to Minn first, then to Eddie. “That should keep you away from the cookies long enough to cool the burns... and to let the cookies cool enough too! Hey Dlew, do you want the last one? No need to burn your fingers first.” The candy would taste a bit unusual to a human, reminding of the scent of jasmine.

When she grabbed the candy, Saein had felt something unexpected in her pocket. Taking that out to see what it was, she found a few plastic bags of small nuts and bolts. “Oops, looks like I stole something from my last employer.” Seeing these and the near-empty tin at once, she got an idea. Eddie was a smart guy (at least when no hot cookies were involved), chances were he liked strategy games. She would look up what games humans liked, and then she could build a small improvised birthday present. And if Eddie liked it, she’d also give him more of the candy. Maybe not a whole tin, she wasn’t sure how many she had and there might be more birthdays soon.

After putting everything back in her pocket (without forgetting her offer to Dlew of course) Saein asked “Dlew, Minn, do you also celebrate birthdays? When are yours?” She did want to know, but the questions were also meant to distract from her using her datapad to take a picture of Minn and Eddie sharing the tap.

Regina

Reggie left the hangar, nodding to Colin as she did, and made her way to the kitchens. Her leg was hurting, but she ignored it. She could still walk straight, no limp or slight lean, it was amazing. She loved every second of it.

Walking into the kitchens, Reggie was surprised to see every member of her crew (whom she needed to speak with) already there. MAK had told her that some were in the kitchens, but not all. How convenient.

She waved hello to everyone as she walked and plopped down on one of the stools. Minn and Eddie were standing by the sink, their hands underneath the faucet. Saein was watching them, making sure they stayed under long enough. "Burn yourself?" Reggie questioned.

She had gotten herself burned many a time, she knew the signs. The bright red patches, the reluctance to touch anything. "That's lukewarm, right? Don't want it to be too cold."

Saein nodded in her direction and Reggie went back to watching them silently. She had burned her entire arm once. Her arm was stinging with the memory of the pain. It was such a stupid and careless mistake too. One that almost lost her her title and ship.

Shaking out of her unhappy memories, Reggie noticed Dlew sitting in the corner. Standing, the captain approached the android and helped him to his feet. "Walk with me, talk with me." She said.

Without waiting for a reply, she began walking, leaving the kitchens. She began walking in any direction, waiting for Dlew to catch up.

"Hey Dlew, do you want the last one? No need to burn your fingers first.”

"Yes." said Dlew trying his best to not sound too excited. When Saein gave Dlew the candy he ate it and was suprised by how tasty it was. Dlew said "Its good." in a rather happy tone.

Saein asked the most unknown question to Dlew “Dlew, Minn, do you also celebrate birthdays? When are yours?”

Dlew responded with "Well first I have been on a total of three ships including this one and the first one we would celebrate some peoples date of birth but we never did anything big. I don't remember anything from my past but I do remember my 6 years with the crew of my first ship, but my friend she said that when they found me I was barely opperational. So I don't know when I was manufactered but my friend told me we would have it be the date that she repaired me, which would be in a month."

Dlew hoped they didn't ask what the ships name was because it was a notorious pirate ship but they probibly knew that from his uniform, but even if they didn't know he hoped they wouldn't learn it because he feared that if they knew he would be even further excluded him from the crew. Regina walked in and asked questions about the burns and water tempature. Then she walked over to Dlew and helped him to his feet. Regina said "Walk with me, talk with me." and then she walked out.

Dlew hurridly followed wondering what she wanted to talk about. Then it struck him, Dlew remembered that he had that out burst and froze. Dlew felt nervious but shook it and contiued forward catching up to Regina who was already out the door.

"I need to speak with you about something." Reggie said when Dlew had caught up to her. She had led him out of the kitchen and down the corridor. Her destination was completely unplanned, usually her legs would lead her somewhere that pertained to the conversation. They would always arrive at the right time and everything.

It was uncanny.

Dlew said nothing as he walked beside her. He was taller than she, as most androids were. She could easily see the 500 tattoo on his wrist as his arms swung as he walked. "It has been brought to my attention about your outburst, shortly after awaking from surgery."

Reggie's gray eyes caught Dlew's and she gave him a knowing look. "MAK, of course, has already done a background check on you, by looking up your serial number. Finding you in the condition I had, I was not expecting you to come from a peaceful life before here." She had stopped walking and turned to face him. "I need to know if you are still capable to do this job."

She looked him dead in the eye. Although she was shorter, she felt taller. "I can't have you, the person I put in charge of keeping my AI going rogue, going rogue. Another outburst, another sudden disappearance, I will have no choice but to remove you from the crew."

She continued walking again, her hands clasped firmly behind her back. It was something she always did when addressing people under her. It showed authority, especially with her short height. When walking with Colin, or when just talking casually, her hands would often swing at her sides much like Dlew's were now. "I don't want to. Let's be clear on that. I believe you have a lot of potential and could be a great asset to this crew. But I need to know if your past, the tragedies that you have faced, will put any other crew members in danger."

She looked up at the android, as she stopped walking once again, waiting for an answer.

Minn

Accepting Saein's assistance and the candy, Minn felt better already, somehow safer. Inwardly she chastised herself for thinking so much about silly thing and distracting herself enough to get hurt. She was glad Saein cared enough to help her. And the candy of interesting...She wasn't sure if she liked it but she didn't hate it. Swirling it around her tongue, she waited to make a decision.

Saein asked about birthdays, Dlew answering first before the Captain showed up to take him away. Curious, Minn watched the go, a sudden worry building in her chest. Dlew had had an episode earlier. Was the Captain going to tell him to leave?

But Minn couldn't know for sure and knew worrying wouldn't help, though that didn't stop her from fretting on the inside. To distract herself, she turned back to Saein and smiled a bit saying, "I don't know when my birthday is. But at my last job we usually all celebrated on the same night. Its a long ways away though. We just celebrated a few months ago."

Now memories were turning over in her head, but happy ones, making her smile more as her green eyes fell upon the water cascading over her fingers.

Keeping his burned hand in the water, Eddie took his piece of candy and popped it in his mouth. The second it hit his tongue..... he nearly gagged, but made sure not to show any physical signs of his displeasure for the taste. Instead, he just simply broke it with his teeth and swallowed it as Dlew left with the captain, probably for a conversation he didn't really want to have. Well, he was acting rather aggressive, so it couldn't be helped. Eddie turned his glance towards Minn as she answered Saein's question with a rather disturbing answer. She didn't know her own birthday? What? That's horrible!..... Well, at least she picked a day to celebrate, so she wouldn't have to worry about it. Still though, it would just feel weird not to know of your own birthday.

"Well," he said. "Then we won't have to worry about missing it or anything, right?" he smiled, but he was wanting a change of subjects. Talking about birthdays like this would only mean they'd waste their time trying to make his special in some way. "So, ignoring the fact that my fingers hurt, those cookies smell good,"

Minn

Minn laughed at Eddie's response then nodded to the cookies. "Just wait a minute or two," she assured. "Then you can devour, don't worry."

Analyzing her fingers, feeling much better, she turned to Saein. "When's your birthday?" she asked, smiling brightly. She wished she would stop thinking about foods as presents. Saein was being so nice to her, her feelings confirmed or not, so she needed to think of something special. Eddie too. They deserved more. Minn smiled, even Dlew needed a better present than some dish. Hmm...she wondered what her other talents were, but the only ones coming to mind involved no clothes...Internally sighing, she continued smiling, hoping food would be enough for them somehow. Creative thinking would have to be involved.

"I need to speak with you about something." Dlew stiffend at Regina’s words, but he showed no signs of it. "It has been brought to my attention about your outburst, shortly after awaking from surgery." This was as Dlew feared; he really didn’t want to talk about the subject for fear of what would now happen because of what did happen.

The Captain continued now, speaking of now MAK had dug into his past and found out many of his scars. She told him that she didn’t want the person, the android, that kept MAK from going rogue, going rogue and that if he had another outburst, she’d have to remove him from the crew. Dlew couldn’t respond, he didn’t know how to. “I understand,” was his only reply.

"I don't want to. Let's be clear on that. I believe you have a lot of potential and could be a great asset to this crew. But I need to know if your past, the tragedies that you have faced, will put any other crew members in danger."

Dlew thought this over for a moment as Reggie looked to him, saying finally, “I am sure I have myself under control now. There is nothing to worry about… I am sure that there will be nothing from my past that will come back…” As he spoke the words, he knew they’d probably be wrong. He didn’t want to tell her though, so he said nothing more.

Saein was glad the captain finally got involved in the Dlew situation. She had mixed feelings about him. On one hand, she disliked AIs and especially androids because those simply were incompatible with her species, on the other she admired the technology and was intrigued by an artificial person creating art. On one hand, an android showing any emotion at all was considered dangerous, on the other Dlew’s struggle with emotions made him seem like a child, and the way he had responded to receiving candy was cute. She didn’t know what to make of it.

And then there was Minn, with her ever changing emotions. One moment she was breaking down, the next she seemed really strong. One moment she was running away from Saein, the next she seemed to feel extra safe near her (at least that was the impression Saein was getting right now). And what exactly was in her past? A job in which she hadn’t been very happy, sexual abuse by multiple people... or were those two the same, and if so, how did she manage to get out? Even before Saein knew Minn had an unhappy past, there had been something about the girl that made her want to look after her. It wasn’t her undeniable attractiveness, but something else. What was it? Whatever it was, it made any thought about Minn’s pain hurt her too, confusing Saein about whether she should keep more distance or get closer and try to hug it all out. It looked like Saein offering suggestions and Minn making choices worked well for both of them, but with Minn changing all the time that might just be coincidence. Without better ideas, this was the best she could do, until something going wrong again might lead to understanding more.

At least Eddie made sense. He was challenging some assumptions she had about horny guys, but he did not confuse her, and she liked him a lot for being a good person with a sense of humor.

Minn brought Saein back from her thoughts by asking about her birthday. “We use a different calendar,” she replied, “so it’s about once in one and a half of your years. In four of your months I’ll be twenty-four of my years, and a little while later I’ll be thirty-three of your years. Confusing eh? I’ll save you the maths and tell you a bit in advance when I want to celebrate.”

If their burns were bad, it wasn’t time to allow Minn and Eddie to leave the tap yet, but Saein could tell that Eddie really, really, really wanted cookies. She found them two clean towels, giving the first to Minn. She demanded to see the cook’s hand after watching her dry it carefully. There were some red spots that probably hurt, but nothing worse than was to be expected from barely touching a hot object for only a split second. It was about the same for Eddie, the difference was hard to judge with the different skin colours, and of course Saein had no idea whether they would be more or less sensitive to burns than her own species. “Okay, I think I can give you permission to eat cookies now, but don’t blame me if it’s too soon. Who dares to try to touch them first?”

After first smiling at both Eddie and Minn, Saein’s eyes stuck on Minn. It was so lovely to see that girl in a cheerful mood, talking about parties and food, but still there was that vague feeling of pain and things being wrong, which put a little bit of sadness in Saein’s eyes. The rest of her face was still smiling.

Reggie eyed the android, not believing his words in the slightest. He did show concern about his emotions, however, which was promising. It's when they started enjoying their emotions that things started to go wrong. "Don't disappoint me, Dlew," She stated as she began walking again.

"As a precaution, you will no longer be sleeping in the barracks with the others. I can't risk an outburst at night, with my crew completely unarmed and unaware." She said glancing back at him. She had a smile on her face, letting him know not to worry.

She looked up to read the sign above the door. "Machine Automated Knowledge."

"You need me, Captain?"

"No MAK, I'm just showing Dlew here his new room."

"I've never had a roommate before," MAK said.

Reggie laughed and pressed a button on the side to open the door. Inside was, basically, an empty room with a large computer taking up the entire far wall. "This is MAK's room. This is his brain." She gestured to the computer. "We will get a bed for you, we can steal one from the barracks, and anything else you may need. I know it's not the most attractive room, but it will be suitable."

She nodded at Dlew and then left the room. She made he way back to the kitchen and nodded at everyone. They seemed to be happily digging into cookies that Minn had made earlier. "Hey Minn," The captain called from the doorway. "Can I speak with you a minute?"

Minn

Eddie dove for the cookies first, which was expected. Minn handed one to Saein with a grateful grin then was about to nibble on one herself when the captain showed up. Immediately she stiffened, back straight and face flushing. Nodding, she glanced to Saein worryingly. Was she being fired? Dlew hadn't returned. What had happened to him? Minn couldnt be dropped off on a different station than her own. How would she survive? Everyone knew the status of a female Shariva in these parts. They weren't far enough away where she might be able to gain some sort of respect...

Following the Captain out of the kitchen, leaving warm smells and her new friends behind, Minn felt like crying. But she remained as calm as she could, turning to the Captain and shakily asking, "Yes?"

The captain returned without Dlew, Saein wondered where he was. Surely she hadn’t sent him away? That wouldn’t match the impression she had of the captain, as far as she had one. The captain wanted to speak with Minn next, who glanced to Saein worryingly. “Don’t worry” Saein wanted to say, but her mouth was full of cookie. She hoped that Minn would read the same message from her face, not looking worried. If the captain was indeed firing everyone who was acting a bit odd, there would be trouble, Saein would make sure of that, and she thought she could get Eddie to at least complain about it as well. And in the worst case, Saein had accepted the job because there was a good cook and she had nothing else to do, so no Minn meant no Saein, which meant Minn would have Saein to look after her between jobs. Anyway, nobody was getting fired. To verify that, Saein asked “MAK, where did Dlew go?”

The AI replied “He’s in our room.”

“Our room?” Saein asked, a little confused.

“He will sleep in the room the computer I’m running on is in” MAK explained.

“I see.” Saein set aside one third of the cookies, and told Eddie “For Minn. Don’t you dare to touch them.” She winked, the threat was only a joke, by now she was sure Eddie wouldn’t be so selfish to not leave some cookies for the one who had baked them.

Nibbling on a cookie, Saein got out her datapad to research human games. She didn’t think Eddie would mind not making conversation, busy as he was keeping his mouth filled. Chess looked like the kind of thing she was looking for. Remembering the conversation they had had about “big guns” and feeling a bit curious, she looked up some other “data”. Once she had found it, her eyes grew wide and she dropped the datapad. Quickly picking it up and switching it to a different page, she tried to pretend nothing had happened.

After determining there was nothing left for him to do in his room, Dlew finally decided he’d wander back to the others. Arriving in the kitchen once more, he found Minn hard at work cleaning the dishes, by hand of course, and he hoped they had left some cookies for him. Saein was looking over her datapad intently; or maybe too intently based on how she more or less threw it down before retrieving it and acting as if nothing had happened.

Taking a seat at his old spot, he was happy to find more cookies left. Taking one and tasting it, he thought they were pretty good, so he remained silent and sat there nibbling on it before producing his notebook and drawing Saein and Eddie in their current positions. Finishing the basic shapes, Dlew decided he’d finish later, and instead began looking over what his datapad could do, other than of course update the ship’s course and tell him how to navigate the mazelike hallways.

Minn

The dishes were hardly distracting, so she hurriedly put these in a dishwasher too, soap bubbles spilling on the floor in the process. Saein muttered something about reproduction to Eddie, something Minn found interesting. She wondered what the topic of conversation had been when she was absent. After securing the dishes, she rejoined them, wanting only to feel better and smile. The captain's intentions may be good, but Minn hated the idea of talking to anyone about her previous occupation. Especially the doctor.

Plopping down and snatching one of the last cookies, she smiled to Dlew and the others, tilting her head slightly to ask, "What about reproduction?" She meant to sound comical and she hoped she succeeded.

#, as written by Centi85
Dedrik followed the crowd as the were lead away. The ship was gorgeous on the inside, and though normally he didn't care about aesthetics, he didn't mind. The fact that the interior was so well designed as far as he could tell was simply another luxury that'd make the job a little more pleasurable.

He continued on, being trained from such a young age and having had the proper way to carry yourself no matter what you're doing engrained him in, he held the his powerstaff diagonally across his chest, one hand clasped around the shaft just at his waist, the other near his shoulder. His boots tapped rhythmically off the floor, mixed into the other recruit's steps. Being also highly attuned to the things around him, Dedrik also noted several people joining into their line who weren't recruits, most likely being already part of the established crew he concluded. He payed no further attention the humans.

They arrived in the kitchen moments later, the large number of recruits having to take a moment to arrange themselves in the space. Dedrik's golden eyes flicked back and forth, taking in every detail of his surroundings. His gaze fell on those already present and wasn't too surprised to find they were also of varying races. Dedrik dug into his memory, searching out the correct names as he looked to them. There was a pink girl, totally pink, he took a moment before the term Shariva appeared in his brain before looking to the other woman, a Firni. His head tilted just slightly as he looked her over, using the tell-tale freckles upon her face to find the proper name for her species. There was an android, the tattoo upon his wrist giving it away as clear as the others, and what appeared to be another human male. It seemed all were enjoying some dessert known as cookies. Dedrik had never had the luxury of eating these, himself preferring a tough meat over anything sweet and he looked over slightly as the Captain appeared.

Dedrik remained silent as he waited for something further to happen. He had no quarrel with standing at attention all day and night, but did detest frivolous things such as this. All he needed was an order and he'd be satisfied. No matter what it was, it would be done.

Bond

Grinning from ear to ear, Bond easily pocketed his screwdriver and turned a bit to conceal what he showed Arc. Four tiny pellets lay in his palm, oval shaped, all brown in color and unmarked. They sort of looked like pills, but they were anything but.

"I call these, my BB's," he introduced in a soft voice. Picking one up, he showed her the size and simplicity up close. "What does BB stand for you ask? Beauty Bombs."

They followed the recruits into the kitchen, Bond noting just how many people were now packed within the space. Could his window of opportunity be any more perfect? Still grinning like a child, he handed Arc two of the brow tablets gently, closing her fingers around them and leaning toward her with a whisper. "On my signal...throw...then run back to the door. Okay? Your face does not need anymore beauty. Trust me." With a wink and an encouraging pat to the arm, he crossed the kitchen to where the Captain stood.

"Evening, Reggie," he greeted, making sure the recruits heard him use her nickname. He made sure Colin heard too. "How's it goin? All grand in Captain's land?"

He turned to Eddie and Saein then, chuckling a little and snatching a cookie from the plate before nibbling on the edge. "Quite the crowd in here, huh?"

Then he faced Minn, feeling only slightly bad for what he was about to do. The girl showed such pride in her cooking and her assigned kitchen area. But he couldn't give this up. How did the old ones used to say it? The phrase was ridiculed in modern texts, Americans of earth being quite pompous and obnoxious. Bond found the phrase amusing though and it fit perfectly, well, semi-perfectly here.

If he didn't take this opportunity, then the terrorists win.

He caught Arc's eye from across the room as he backed away to the opposite door. All he gave was a nod, a quick gesture, a twitch of the neck. She understood. Simultaneously they tossed their tablets into the center of the room, both scurrying to their respective doors to take appropriate cover. Bond laughed loudly, hoping Arc found safety.

The tablets tumbled through the air, two hitting the floor, one on the counter and one on the shoulder ofone of the recruits. Upon impact, the BB's went off.

The popping was sharp and quick, painful too for anyone near, though no one took notice of the noise or pain. The bombs exploded, as bombs do, in a fit of colorful dust, purple particles shooting into the air with green and blues, the dust becoming a fog and then smoke, encompassing them all in clouds of beautful colors and fits of coughs.

Bond couldn't stop laughing. He hadn't used a BB as a prank for years, since his expulsion really. He had used them on missions to distract enemies, but this...this was perfect.

He could not wait to see everyone's reactions.

Dlew looked around warily at all the people filling the room. Obviously these were new recruits as each were in uniform, and because collecting them was the only reason the ship was here in the first place. He hoped though that they would be nice to him, or at least show any sort of kindness instead of the usual cold shoulder he received. The android waited patiently, watching as nothing really happened for the first few moments. He noted Bond and Arc enter behind the crowd, as well as the doctor but didn’t pay any more attention otherwise.

Suddenly an explosion occurred in the room that set everyone into a shock. A huge cloud of colorful smoke filled the room, following a pop and Dlew just caught side of Bond ducking out one door. Dlew was on the floor with the sudden excitement, his only thoughts being that of the ship under attack as he heard several shots get fired off.

When the smoke finally cleared Dlew remained in his position on the floor, shaking slightly. It took a moment for him to realize everything had settled and slowly he uncurled himself and rose to his feet. Looking around he also then realized that it was nothing more than a prank. Dlew shakily took his seat, his mind still racing as to who had just done this. It seemed Eddie was wondering the same thing as he called out most likely everyone’s thoughts. The android switched topics now, deciding it better to think about finishing the picture of Saein and Eddie while the image was still fresh. Perhaps he’d do that.

Bond

Say cheese?

A flash of light caught him off guard, a figure suddenly in his sights as he blinked away the spots and dots. "Sa...Saein?" he managed to get out, still half-smiling. Everyone was pissed and freaking. Maybe he should have felt bad, but he could honestly say he didn't.

Wiping at his eyes, he wondered why she was taking his picture...

Minn

The commotion nearly stopped her heart, vision filled with blue fog and her throat burning as she inhaled sharply from surprise. Turning and finding the counter she gripped her wodden spoon and crouched down with a yelp as gun shots went off. She hated guns really, not because they killed and were probably more dangerous than any other object she would encounter, it was just the sound. So loud. So ominous. The rat a tat of noise before the owner would pick his "favorite" for the week.

Minn felt tears on her cheeks, not even realizing how scared she was until her muscles protested from the strain of tension. Leaning against the counters, she shivered as the others tried to catch the culprit of the blinding smoke and the loud booms. She wiped at the dust as it settled on her wet face, creating a paste like substance that stuck to her fingers.

Then she realized her kitchen was most definitely ruined, the one thing she had on this ship, the one thing she knew she could rely on. She did have Eddie and Saein and even Dlew had been kind, but she knew that minds could change opinion. She was worried when her friends would realize just the being she was, her talents consisting of more sexual acts, positions and dances than simple math or languages. Even cooking.

She shook out of her thoughts, the fear turning her confidence around. If they didn't already repell her, perhaps they did like being around her. Swallowing, and tasting smokey dust, she gagged a little, coughing against the dry substance still swirling in the air. Everyone would be covered with the stuff. And she had just taken a shower!

Saein went after the culprit, from what Minn could hear and she hoped something would be done to prevent this from happening again.
