Arc Troiya

So long as this job includes a roof over my head and a meal on my plate, I'm in!

0 · 573 views · located in The Nightwing

a character in “The Nightwing's Voyage”, originally authored by ali_rox96, as played by RolePlayGateway

Description

Name: Arc Troiya
Age: 22
Gender: Female
Species: Human
Rank: Weapons engineer

Image

Arc is your typical human with palish skin, blonde hair and light blue eyes; she doesn’t stand out and she makes it a point not to. She’s always wearing old, patchy clothes and run down sneakers, she doesn’t dress up. Ever.

Personality

Arc is whimsical and a dreamer, always has been always will be, no matter what life throw at her it will never take that away from her.
When Arc was young she was determined and always believed she could do whatever she wanted so long as she put her heart into it. She always saw the world differently to others, she hated deadlines and pressure. She always threw herself into everything and did everything slightly differently from everyone else.
Arc is still the same girl, it’s just a little deeper down and less innocent. Life happened. Her experiences have hardened her around the edges. She became excessively self-reliant and came to despise handouts and relying on people. She stopped keeping friends because she never made contact or gave them a way to contact her, that and she hardly stayed anywhere long enough to make friends. She stayed her ever whimsical self though and enjoys the adventure of never knowing where her next meal is coming from or where she will be when she eats it.

Equipment

Arc usually has a switchblade in her back pocket and her newest gun on her person.

History

Arc has no idea the identity of her parents no cares to find out. As far as she is concerned Sarath, her stepfather was her only family. Sarath was a Toshick; the tinkerers of the Universe. Toshicks have been accredited with the creation of many inventions due to their uncanny interest in pulling things apart and trying to make them better. Not many Toshicks remain though as they would much prefer to explore the world discovering new inventions than settling down and starting a family. Sarath was a weapons expert but would move to a new post once he decided there was nothing new or exciting left for him at his current post. So him and Arc moved around a lot, from space stations to military bases to strange planets. Sarath had no qualms about who he was working for, Arc picked up this attitude of his. Wherever they went though Sarath would teach Arc everything he knew about the trade and she would always be with him when he worked. When Arc was 15 she pre enrolled to the Intergalactic Defense Academy. When the ship Sarath was on was engaged in battle and was destroyed she changed her mind and decided she didn’t want to live and die for other people’s problems. Arc ended up all alone fending for herself. A few friend’s of her fathers offered to take her in but she refused, determined to look after herself. Arc began to wander from planet to planet never being able to find one to call home. Once the money her father had left her had run out she started taking out weapons mechanic jobs here and there to make ends meet. Everything her father had taught her and her instincts from growing up around weapons made her a rather talented weapons expert despite never having official training. Arc began taking up any job she could find until another would peak her interest. Arc started enjoying the adventure of being attached to no one or no where. She never has money in her pocket but she is happy this way so long as the job includes a roof over her head and food on her plate.

So begins...

"This is taking too long." Colin groaned dropping his head.

Reggie couldn't help but agree. They were both extremely tired, and stuck in the small space for a while. They were both itching to get out of this place, she could feel it in her legs. Even her bum knee, which usually hurt when she was walking for long periods of time, was itching for her to move. The lack of movement and exercise was making her knee hurt more than usual.

She leaned her on his shoulder, sighing. "I know," She added. "We're almost done. Hopefully."

“Hey I’m Arc. Arc Troiya. Sorry, I’m a little late, I suppose you have some questions?”

Reggie glanced up and saw a spritely young human standing before their table. At least she looked human. Reggie sat up straight, eyeing the girl. She fidgeted consistently with the old patches on her clothes. Her blue eyes darted anywhere, never, not once, landing on Reggie's own eyes. "Only a couple," The captain said eyeing her list.

Arc Troyia. Weapons specialist? Reggie looked back up at the blonde. She didn't look like any weapons specialist she's worked with before, but then again. Not many people have worked for a female captain before. There were only a few in the history books, even fewer today. Being a captain was a male dominated job, which is why Regina enjoyed it so much. Even with a bum knee, she proved herself on several occasions.

Looking up at Arc, Reggie couldn't help but wonder if this girl could prove herself. "I can see that you have nothing on your being besides the clothes on your back." Reggie began. "And that must also mean you didn't bring any paperwork for me to fully judge if you are suited for the Nightwing. So, Arc Troyia. My one question for you is, how can you prove to me that you are well suited for this position?"

Reggie propped her elbows up on the table, lacing her fingers together. She looked up at the girl, forcing the girl to look down at her. She wanted desperately for her to be of valuable use. Reggie didn't know if it was because of her human lineage, or how the girl carried herself. She looked about read to fall over from lack of nutrition. And no doubt the dirt marks on her pale skin were from the unsightly living conditions she was forced to live in.

Depending on what planet she has been assigned to, can lead to massive discrimination to humans.

Arc handed Reggie the gun carefully. The captain immediately held it like she was going to shoot it, aiming at nothing in particular. She aimed towards an empty wall, making sure no one was in the way, before pulling the trigger. Arc had done a great job.

The kickback was practically nonexistent. And the bullet shoot through the strong wall easily. The bullet shot through the first layer of wall and blew through the second tougher wall. It flew out of the inn and off into the distance. Thankfully not many people came around her, or Reggie would be afraid for someone's life.

She took a closer inspection of the gun, it was small and lightweight. And with that kind of power and lack of kickback. It was a phenomenal weapon. Reggie couldn't help but be impressed. She handed the gun back to Arc.

"Well Arc, welcome to the Nightwing." She shook hands with the young blonde. Arc walked away and Reggie finally got a chance to see the girl who walked up to Colin. She was small and spritely.

Was that a Star Trek reference, Reggie heard? She couldn't help but smile. Not many people knew of Star Trek. Reggie's great grandfather, who gave her her ship, was a huge fan of the show. Even though not even he was alive when it was a regular show on Earth. Reggie was close with her great grandfather, and he instilled in her a love of ships before he passed away when Reggie was 12.

She watched Colin shake hands with the girl and welcome her to the Nightwing. She learned her name and checked Cassiopeia Adler and Arc Troyia off her list. Only a few more left. She couldn't help but smile.

“Hi guys, I’m Arc, I’m the weapons expert. Umm... I hope for all of us to get along well.”

Eddie wore a smile on his face that said he was clearly happy with this. He wasn't racist, but he felt indefenitely more comfortable with another human on the ship, and especially since she would probably be the one holding weapoons. After a scan of her, he extended his arm to greet his new human ally. That made two.

"Hello there," he said. "Welcome to the Nightwing, I guess. My name is Eddie, and I'll be flying the ship and making sure we don't crash into anything.... hopefully," he added the last part as a joke just to mess with the others. If Eddie ended up dying due to a crash, he'd be horribly embarassed, as that would be such a horrible mistake and a rookie one as well.

All they really had to do now was have the patience for misses boss-woman to get done filling in the spots for the team, which appeared to be just about done. While he didn't mind much, he did take note that this would be his first time working under a woman captain. They weren't really a common sight anywhere, but he'd soon find out if she was deserving of the position or not.

Hopefully she was, because if she wasn't... it could mean the end of the crew.

Arc listened as Eddie, Cassy and Minn introduced themselves as a pilot, scout and cook respectively. Her eyes glassed over as she stared nowhere in particular, absorbing the new information she had presented with. Arc then look back at them and beamed as if having a private joke with herself. It only took a second though for her to begin sharing her thoughts with her new crew mates.

“Well, by the looks of it I have found my two favourite people on this ship. Well, two of my top three favourite people, the Metamorphite over is in defiantly in my top three.” Arc said merrily while nodding and over to Colin. She had a particularly positive opinion on Metamorphites. She had seen enough of the universe and other species to know never to lump all species together. She couldn’t help it though, she had only ever met one Metamorphite which was a positive experience. Being able to turn into any other species excited her and was something she was slightly jealous of seeming as though she had lived on so many planets with so many different species.

“No offense Cassy, but Eddie here is controlling the my roof and Minn is giving me my meals, and well, those were the two reasons I took this job. So I only have a few requirements for you guys to know about. Eddie; try not to throw us around to much and please do your best to keep my roof firmly attached to the rest of the ship.” Arc said lightheartedly, her attention now back on the group.

“And you my friend,” Arc continued turning to face Minn while giggling slightly. “Everything will be great with me so long as you keep the food edible, yeah?” Arc said giving a wink towards the Shivari.

“Oh, and Cassy, don’t think I forgot you; all I want you to do is to not even consider complaining about weapons.” Arc said brightly. She was already excited about the prospect of leaving this planet; she was bored of it. She had been here a few months and decided there was nothing really here that piqued her interest.

"...Eddie; try not to throw us around to much and please do your best to keep my roof firmly attached to the rest of the ship.”

"I can't guaruntee anything if you guys put me in a bad mood," the new pilot teased with a laugh. It's not like he'd actually do something like that, but hey, they didn't know him yet. With another glance around the people at the table, he was definetly reminded that humans were not going to be the only thing on this trip. What with the squid eyes, the random slits on the girl's head and just about everything else there to prove it, human's were to be the minority on this trip comparing them to aliens.

However, this only slightly bugged Eddie. It wasn't that he was racist, but he just felt better if he was with more humans. So far, there were two besides him, both female. While he had no problem with this, he did long for a guy to hang out with. Odds are, none of the male members of the ship met the personality requirement that Eddie had for a fun person to talk to. Well, it couldn't be helped.

"...And don't doubt Minn." he added for no reason in general. "All I had to do was smell what she was cooking and I could tell it was delicious. On that note, let me remind you guys I called dibs on the first things she makes,"

Cassy smiled at Arc's compliment,it was good to know she was starting off on the right foot."My mom used to be a weapons technician for the Princessbefore she became a Tai Chi instructor and I took a course in weaponry at Nebula Academy. My father was a scout at back then, they found me on one of Princess's missions when I was a baby.I was apparently the only sentient being found on any mission to Gaea."

As Cassy moved on to her ice cream, she remembered being told how strange it was that a planet so teeming with plant and wildlife would have no other sentient life. She had been told that she was the subject of many news reports when she was too young to remember and apparently lived on the Princess for the first three years of her life before moving to Gaea.Cassiopeia looked at Minn,"I'm sure you're a great cook."

“So what race are you...?” Arc asked before even realizing what she was saying. She sounded so rude, she hadn’t meant to, she was just curious, it had just slipped out. Arc had been many places in Universe and never seen a species like the one in front if her now. She only took a second to correct herself. “No, sorry that’s rude.” She continued while shaking her head and putting up her hands to stop Cassy answering. It honestly didn’t mean a thing to Arc what race Cassy was. Arc glanced around the place her eyes half glazed over looking at the aliens and humans alike throughout. She wondered how they would all get along, what the captain would be like, all that jazz. She snapped her thoughts back though when she realized she was once again being rude to Cassy. “Though it sound as though your more qualified to be a weapons specialist then I am.” Arc said changing the subject, with a slight smile and wink.

Arc watched a few of her crew mates wander on up the stairs to the next level of the Inn. She waited around a little bit; socializing with a few of her new crew mates before following the other’s example. She excused herself and left to fill up one of the rooms her captain had courteously booked out for them. Arc entered the room; 2C, and gave it a quick scan, it was small, but defiantly luxurious compared to some of the places Arc had spent a night or two at. She immediately moved towards the window giving it a sharp tug open, enjoying the breeze and city noise that instantly flood through it. Arc ripped off her T-shirt throwing it on her bed and making her way to the shower, she was in desperate need of one. She hadn’t taken on a job for a while; nothing having caught her interest, which of course meant not having ‘official’ place to stay, This to Arc of course, only meant the minor con of no reliable running water. After her refreshing shower, though the temperature did struggle to stay constant, she took no time to lay down in her bed and drift off. She hadn’t closed her window though; the city noise and fresh air in some strange way made her feel at home, almost safe. She wondered what adventures and strange things awaited her tomorrow, the thought almost made her smile, almost.

Arc awoke lazily watching her ceiling her a few moments, she moved her hand up into the light that was beaming through her window watching in move in sunlight. She heard the early wakers start moving around outside her window she hadn’t closed last night. She knew it was early and it would be a little while before any of her other crew mates awoke. She rolled out of bed and pulled on her clothes looking out the window at all the early morning movement. She loved waking up to bright sunshine and movement, it was the one thing she hated disliked about living on a spaceship or space station. She had walked to the stairs to find the inn devoid of all lifeforms-okay, maybe there was a pot plant somewhere, but other than that,-as she had expected, she was an early riser, enjoying the feeling of having the world all to herself. She wandered outside taking a moment to stretch out the sleepiness her body still held before taking off at a medium paced run. She reveled in the way the wind swept her hair in all different directions and how it pulled her clothes in all different directions.

Arc arrived back at the inn some time later in the morning, she honestly had no concept of time, ever, she did what she wanted when she felt like doing it. She opened up the door to the Inn and took in the aroma of warm food the overwhelmed her. She took a first steps inside and noticed the Captain and Cassandra engaged in conversation. Arc made her way up to two and gave them a carefree smile. She looked down at the meal the Captain had ordered for herself, Arc suddenly felt her stomach growl hungrily but she ignored knowing she had no money in her pocket and soon she would be on a ship with a cook cooking for them. Not eating a few meals was no biggie. She scrutinized the Captains food choice, admittedly despite being human Arc didn’t have much experience with human food, so she wasn't too sure if that was actually a legitimate meal pairing. Her first human meals she had tried was when she was seven and the whole experience had endeared to the food.

Arc stopped her thoughts and looked back up at the two girls with a small smile. “I’m excited to this ship of your’s Captain.”

"OKAY,I'm getting up!,Cassiopeia said crankily, turning off the alarm on her I-scan.I need a new alarm tone... She looked out the window, this was the beginning of an exciting new adventure and barely had finished getting dressed when she heard her Zeno ring,"Hello...Yes,mom I am wearing clean underwear",she rolled her eyes."No dad,I'm not wearing red.Yes,I did tell people my name."She walked down stairs,"Don't worry I will eat a healthy breakfast and no,dad nobody has called me a "pointy-eared hobgoblin. No,mom I won't use my I-scan to look at that kind of stuff and Dad,that is in no way politically correct.Yes,I love you both, goodbye.",she ended the conversation.

As promised she grabbed a healthy breakfast before sitting down with the others. She was surprised at the quantity of ketchup the captain was using, not that it was any of her business, but the rest of the food seemed normal to her after having been raised with a human father."I'm glad to be on this ship too,and while I love my parents,I sincerely hope that was the last call for today.

"I'm excited to this ship of yours Captain."

Reggie smiled and said hello to Arc as she sat down next to her. She stared at her food with an intrigued look, but didn't seem to keen on her food choices. "All in due time Arc. All in due time."

She shoved another forkful of food into her mouth, washing it down with her drink. She jumped at the sound of another person joining them. She looked over at Cassiopeia who had voiced her own excitement about being on the ship, and then made a remark about her parents.

Reggie smiled, but couldn't help but feel a spark of jealousy towards the young girl. "You say that now," She said. "But you'll realize how much you enjoyed those calls. Especially once they're gone."

Her parents were the same. Always calling her, making sure she was okay, especially when she was in the Academy. Her mom always sent her a care package during her time in the Defense. They were very caring parents, and Reggie was always annoyed when she got the long phone calls that always seemed to be her answering their questions.

But, now they were gone. And she never got those calls anymore. She never got those care packages anymore. And she missed them terribly.

Realized she had brought the mood down, Reggie cracked a joke to lighten the mood back up.

Colin smiled while the woman left. he answered her qustion. "No, you dont have to call me captain." He gigged a bit. He might be drunker than he thought he was. He shrugged and tapped the bar. "Have a good night barkeep." He sloppily turned around and made his way to the rooms they had rented out.

-------

His eyes opened slowly. "Ugh"

He was hung over. Dammit. He threw the lumpy inn blanket off of him with a growl. Time to get up. He slid off the bed and nearly rolled across the floor to where he'd hung his Morphsuit. He slipped it on. Th spandex-like material hugged his skin tightly. He was still in his human form, but his hair was unruly and he had a bit of body odor. He changed into his true form, and then quickly changed back. Reseting the human to his clean, combed state. He smiled and left the room.

-------

He arrived back in the bar. the crew was already seated at the bar. Reg, Cassandra, Casseopiea, and Arc. He took a seat next to Reg. The amount of ketchup the woman used was unholy, but he was starving. He snatchd a bite of her hashbrowns before she was able to finish them. "Ready to set sail cap?"

Arc allowed her mind to wander into a daydream. She did that a lot, long fluff conversation seemed to just trigger her daydream senses. She acknowledge the presence of new voices and bodies but didn’t take too much notice. Arc’s attention was already taken up with her daydream. It was a nice daydream. She was swimming in a glistening, sky blue lake, the sun was reflecting off the surface of the water. She could feel the warm, calming essence off the sunshine envelope her. At the bottom of the lake were millions of dazzling pearls in all different colors and patterns. Arc dove into the water causing the water to ripple out around her, she swam to the bottom of the lake, holding her breath. She held out her hand feeling the bumps and all the pearls sticking out of the lake's bottom.

Arc sighed at the beautiful scene she had painted in her mind when she was suddenly pulled back to reality by the incoming floor. Shocked, Arc laid on the ground for a few beats before jumping up and shaking off the jarring she felt up her back from her fall. She slowed down her movements and looked longingly at the door; she hated these kind of gatherings filled with empty conversations. Arc wanted to excuse herself and go for a walk but knowing that she had already been running this morning she didn’t. She didn’t really want to seem weird, there was only so much fresh air and movement people needed.

Inqueta listened to what Eddie had said. He was laughing, and saying something about being bored. She felt bored as well. He had done a very good job at hiding his feelings, although, she wasn't sure if he was just trying to cover up his annoyance. She decided that it didn't really matter in the long run, and pushed the conversation away. Arc made her way over, and picked up on the joking. Inqueta wasn't very amused. She understood they were joking, but it still made her uneasy that they were saying they shouldn't listen to a thing Eddie says. When Arc addressed her, Inque put her focus on the human girl. "Equally." She said and inclined her head slightly. She opened the slits in her nose and took a deep breath in, closing them once more. "It's quite crowded in here. I think I'm going to stretch my legs before we get settled onto the ship. She turned away from the group and slowly, yet deliberately walked towards the door. She still didn't see the captain, and now that she though about it, the second in command wasn't to be seen either. They must have been getting the rest of the crew up, or prepping the ship.

Saein grew more and more confused, and it showed. Her spots now resembled a swarm of angry bees. A moment after Eddie mentioned it being a joke, she finally figured out what was going on. "Eddie," she said, "normally I love jokes, but that one was hurtful." More for the benefit of others than for Eddie, who already seemed to know, she explained: "These little spots all over my skin don't just show my emotions, we Firni can sense them on each other when we touch. The moment between sensing that someone doesn't seem to have emotions and sensing they are warm and alive after all is really weird. It doesn't help that I really like to touch my friends." To help everyone relax, she made a face and added "That last bit sounded dirty, didn't it?"

Putting on her serious face again, she turned to Inqueta. "I know I could avoid that feeling by avoiding mixed crews, but it would be kind of racist if I did, don't you agree? I've been told the feeling can go away with practice, and if it doesn't, well, I'm a mechanic, not a masseuse. And please don't say 'Firni' if you want to get my attention, I don't think I'll recognize that as referring to me. You can call me Saein, or mechanic Vernig. And you are...?" She held out her hand for a handshake. She had no intention of stopping shaking hands with those she introduced herself to.

That is, if those people did appear to want handshakes. She smiled right back at Arc. "It's great to meet you too. Like I've been telling everyone all day, my name is Saein." She was back in her relaxed and happy mood,

A part of her had been paying attention to Minn all that time. She placed her hand on the girl's shoulder. Luckily at least that body part was covered, so she could touch without hesitation. "Listen, hon, you'll probably see many worse confrontations on a ship. There are two people who can always end them. One is the captain, who can tell everyone to stop it. The other is the cook, who can distract everyone with food. Okay?" A gentle squeeze, an encouraging smile, and she let go. The cook was her favorite crew member so far. Saein would suck up to any cook, but she genuinely liked Minn.

Arc watched their disgruntled captain talk to Colin before they both left the inn in earnest. She sighed knowing it would be awhile before they would be leaving. Deciding to take a seat she dropped herself ungracefully down on a seat next to Eddie, the pilot. Arc smiled sweetly at him before looking down at her lap and playing with her bracelet. Well, it couldn’t really be considered a bracelet, it was more like a patch of fabric she had tied around her wrist. It was meant to hide the scar she had on her wrist which was caused by an injection she had once that got infected.

Arc didn’t really have much to say to the pilot, she had a severe hate of small talk and meaningless chatter. Unfortunately though this only left a small amount to talk about. Her eyes suddenly flicked back up to his face realizing there was one thing she did want to talk to him about though. “Eddie, why did you choose to be a pilot?” Arc asked curiously albeit suddenly. It was something she wanted to know, being a pilot was something she never in a million years saw anyone wanting to be. She though back to the last spaceship she had worked on, it was little dodgey and had no autopilot. She remembered the pilot being holed-up in the cockpit for the entire journey. Sure not having autopilot was extremely rare but why risk it when you can be anything else?

Eddie had been idly listening to people's conversations. Not that he really cared much for any of them, nor would he even remember them in a few minutes, as he was only half listening. A beautiful, human girl by the name of Arc sat by him, which didn't really interest him just yet. He was in a... 'lazy zone'. His mind was more or less idle, and he found himself not really 'there'. That is until she spoke.

“Eddie, why did you choose to be a pilot?”

Snapping back to attention, he smiled at the question. One that brought a sense of nostalgia to the man. He thought, and for a minute, he was quiet, not saying or doing anything. Then, he glanced at her and spoke.

"Why not?" he simply questioned back. "It really just gives you a great feeling, to be the one controlling the ship as it zooms through the universe at high speeds. Or how about the rush you get as you dodge attacks made by an enemy vessel?" he laughed. "Nah, that's not really why. I believe I became a pilot just cause," he noticed a look on her face that stated she didn't know what the hell he meant. "When I was about ten, my father let me pilot his own Stingray that had long since been disarmed. (Fighter spaceship). Of course, he was sitting in the seat with me on his lap, but he let me guide it until I would veer off course or until it was time to land," he sighed, the memory still in his head.

"When I turned fifteen, I was bothered on multiple occasions on what I wanted to grow up as. I, being undecisive, was eventually swayed to becoming a pilot when my father reminded my of how happy I looked in the Stingray. I did well in the courses... okay, I did great in the classes and thus began my adventures in life," he stopped for a minute. "Oh, I'm probably boring you.... Well, in any case, I did not become a pilot because I necessarily wanted to. I just became a pilot,"

"Though, I can't say I regret it in the least. That probably didn't make sense, but there you go,"

Narration

After a long and tiring morning, Reggie finally had all her crew members. She officially welcomed Dr. Alexander Greenhaven to the crew, who happily accepted.

With the final pieces in place, Captain Oris gladly led everyone outside to the land cruiser.

Reggie

Finally, they finally had everyone. Reggie could feel her adrenaline kicking in. Her mind so focused on getting everyone up to the ship. She wanted to begin this journey. The thought of discovering Earth, after so many years! No words could describe her excitement.

"Alright, everyone!" She called as they neared the cruiser. "It's going to be a tight fit, but I promise the Nightwing is a lot larger." She popped open the door of the cruiser and climbed in, immediately taking the pilot's position.

"Make sure you're strapped in." She called behind her as everyone else piled in. She was so excited to see her ship again, to sleep in the bed she had grown accustomed to, she was half tempted to start flying while everyone was still trying to strap in.

Colin took his place in the seat next to her, strapping himself in. She beamed at him. He knew how excited for this she was. She had been trying to get funding for this expedition for years after discovering the possibilities. It was finally happening.

"Everybody ready?" She called back, it was hard to turn and see everyone while being strapped in. She got a resounding "yes" or "all good" from her newly hired crew. Not wanting to waste anymore time, she turned on the cruiser and slammed it into full throttle.

Just like last night, when she had shown Eddie the Nightwing for the first time, she gave out a hoot of excitement. She loved flying. The land cruiser was a bit more exciting because you could physically feel the small ship gain the speed. A large ship like the Nightwing was built to handle the high speeds. It was meant to move smoothly even at drastic speeds.

Blasting out of the atmosphere and into the vastness of space, Reggie instantly spot her ship sitting at the docks. "MAK, open the hanger," She spoke pressing a button to communicate with the on board AI.

"Welcome home, Captain Oris." Was the AI's reply as it lowered the hanger door.

"Welcome to the Nightwing, everyone."

Cassandra looked up from the table she was digging a knife into to see Regina. She smiled slightly, before putting the knife down flat. The barkeeper was going to hate her, saying she had carved many symbols and such into the table. Still, she stood and crossed the room to go follow the captain, like many. She heard Regina shout something about how it was going to be a tight fit, but she simply shrugged. She didn't mind, if it was for a short period of time. Which, it supposedly would be. She climbed in and took a seat right behind the pilot's, and strapped herself in.

"All good, Nauar." She announced, along with all the others saying similar things to announce they were ready. However, the Xylamar's voice was drowned out by the engine of the engine starting to life. She sighed and leaned back in the chair, ignoring all signs of somebody trying to start the conversation with her. Soon enough, the cruiser stopped, and the engine was cut off. She undid the buckle that held her in and stood. Even though the cruiser was too small for her to stand fully, she craned her neck a bit and stretched her limbs before heading off and into the hangar. She was the first one off, so she simply stood there and stared at the Nightwing. Soon somebody approached behind her, but she wasn't sure who. But she had to say something to them. So she did.

"It's beautiful, The Nightwing. I can't wait..."

Before Arc even got the chance to respond, they were called to the ship. Finally! His excitement was uncontained! It was leaking out of him! It was... well, he wasn't anymore 'visibly' excited then the rest. However, inside, he was cheering. They were finally getting ready to go! He followed Regina as they were led to the shuttle and then flown to the actual ship.

After the cramped shuttle ride up to the Nightwing, Eddie found himself giving second-glances to all the features of the ship he had already seen before. He wasn't as curious as the others, given the fact he knew what all this was and had seen the ship the day before, but he did admire the actual beauty of the ship as he walked.

As Reggie informed them of the AI, Eddie found himself not taking advantage of the thing, obviously because he wasn't completely comfortable with it. Then again, he didn't really need it, he did actually pay attention during the tour. Eddie caught himself before he got too far away from the others and smiled. "I would suggest nobody leaves without knowing where they are going, unless you want to wander around for a while," he warned jokingly.
