I woke up with a large yawn as golden morning sunlight washed over my face. I realized had awakened a little later than planned and I literally leapt out of the bed, flinging Pikachu out of his sleep in the process. I ran downstairs in my panic, though I quickly noticed I wasn't wearing anything but a nightgown so I flew back up the stairs. Stopping and panting in front of my closet door, I looked up to pick out an outfit.
I snatched a pink button-up shirt, my light colored sweater, a pair of jeans and some light blue running shoes. I pulled on the ensemble quickly, stopping momentarily to roll the bottom of my pants up just an inch or so above my ankle. I looked at the dazed Pikachu who was now getting up and looking at me confusedly. I carefully took my bag off of the back of my desk chair as I explained to him why I... we... were in such a rush.
"Did you forget? Tsk, tsk, tsk! Today is the day we start our journey to become the best!" I said cheerily, only to get a 'Pika!' in reply. I held out my arm, letting the small yellow Pokemon rush up to its spot on my shoulder.
"Alice?!" I heard my mom call from down stairs.
"Yeah! I'm coming!" I called back, carefully coming down the stairs.

"Bye!" I called behind me as I waved. I was walking away from the house, my best friend in and out of battle running by my side (I mean Pikachu) as I started my way down the dirt paths. I couldn't decide where to start. Should I go into the tall grass and try to catch some Pokemon to train or should I go into town and look at the Pokemon people had for sell or trading? There were so many options!

As Alice walked confidently toward the exit of Pallet Town, a boy of roughly seventeen years was stooped in front of a small bush. She could barely make out the sound of him saying, "Come on, buddy. You can trust me! There's no danger here." His shaggy blue hair brushed his long nose as he attempted to coax a nervous-looking Swinub from the cover of the bush.
Only a few yards away stood another pair. "Mom, we've done this before. I'm just passing through." The tall girl brushed her long brown hair out of her face and hugged her the shorter woman, who appeared to be crying. "I'll be back before long." At her feet ran a young Growlithe, yapping and chasing some kind of airborne insect. "Growlithe, cut it out!"

"Thach! Wake up!!! When are you going to actually go on your trip!? That Ekans is going to get fat if you don't do anything with him!!!"
Thach lay in his bead, still in the cloths he put on earlier that mornng. His faithful companion, Beau the Ekans, was too asleep on Thach's stomach. He lazily opened one of his eyes, "Alright, alright...*yawn*...'cmon Buddy, lets see if we can't actually go somewhere today.."
"Ekansssss!!!" Beau squealed, tumbling off Thach and the bed in his excitement. He waited for his trainer to get out of the bed.
"Alright, man, I'm coming..." He said as he patted his friend. His room was a bit messy, clutter all over his desk, and random cloths on the floor. He put on his boots and followed his friend downstairs to his upset mother.

Alice looked around, hearing the slight whisper of a boy maybe a year older than her. It sounded like he was coaxing something or someone nearer. Pikachu looked up at her curiously.
"Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing." she said, leaning down and ruffling the yellow creature's fur. She followed the sound of the voice towards a bush. What was a doing? Coaxing a Pokemon?
"Hey, Pikachu?"

"Can you go check it out for me?" she asked and the little Pikachu sprinted off, slowing down as he reached the bush. He peered around the green leaves to see the boy coaxing a Pokemon. So, he came out further to investigate.

[Thach Wilson] Thach's mother looked him over disapprovingly as he trudged downstairs. "If you're going to go, at least wear some fresh clothing." She smiled softly at her son's habits, handing him a sack full of food and wheeling over a brand-new bicycle. It had a basket and a strap to attach useful items. "I bought this for you. It's the newest model."
The door opened, and a girl of about Thach's age entered the room. It was the next door neighbor, Emilia Johnson. "Ms. Wilson, that flock of Spearows attacked your garbage bin again. It's all over the place." She smiled at Thach, brushing her short red hair behind her ear and lifting her small Oddish from the ground. "Hey, Thach. Leaving on a Pokemon Journey?"

"Thanks mom....you're the best" Thach then hugged his mom and kissed her on the forehead. Beau coiled himself around her waist giving her his own kind of hug.

[Thach Wilson] Emilia smiled and laughed quietly as the tiny grass Pokemon curled in her arms, turning away from the Ekans in fear. "Oh, she's scared. It's okay, baby Oddish. It's just Beau." She looked up at Thach. "Yeah. This little sweety is a gift from my mom to her sister in Pewter City. I'm supposed to travel there with my Magby and give Oddish to her." She tilted her head to one side. "Are you headed that way? I wouldn't mind having someone to travel with."

Alice looked at Kyle, who was now standing up and had just introduced himself. "I'm Alice. Yeah, that's my Pikachu. So, I assume you were going for the little Swinub?" Alice asked with a smile as Pikachu retreated to her side. She ruffled the yellow fur on his back and patted his head.
"So, are you a Pokemon trainer just starting out or have you been on the road for a while?" she probed further with her questions. Her curiosity was getting the better of her and she wanted to know more. She always wanted to know more about something.

[Alice Liddael] Kyle blinked his light grey eyes at the girl who approached him, still smiling. The Swinub squeaked and tried to escape, but he held it too firmly for such antics. Sighing, he looked down at the Pokemon. "Yeah, that's my Swinub. My baby Swinub."
He, too, was curious. But first he answered her questions, not wanting to intrude too rudely. "Oh, I've definiely been on the road for a while. I'm just passing through." He pointed to his right hip, where three Pokeballs sat. "This Swinub's only my newest addition. I also own a Jinx and a Cloyster." He chuckled, thinking back just a bit. "I was just Surfing south of here, down around the Whirl Island and even a bit further in the Orange Islands, trying to find a Water Stone to evolve my Cloyster from Shellder. It worked."
Tucking a flyaway tuft of hair back into the rest of the blue mass, he asked, "So... which way are you and Pikachu headed? I'm assuming north, but where from there? Johto or Pewter City?" He liked Alice. She was outgoing and nice. Plus her Pikachu was cute.

Thach looked at his mom and smiled. "Well, I'll see ya later. I'll be sure to contact you sometime." He hugged his mother one more time and walked out the door, to Pallet's exit.

Lee Woke with a start. Caused by the attack of a small furry creature jumping on his head. A small voice shouted out to him. " Pichu!". Reluctantly he opened his to see Sparky his Pichu staring down at him. Seeing that Lee was awake Sparky jumped off the bed and started to make sounds of annoyance and began to scrape at the door. Tired and irritated Lee got up and slipped into some casual clothes. Opened the door and let Sparky Race out of his room and downstairs. Yawning Lee lazily walked down the stairs and opened the fridge. To find a yellow post it note inside. Written on it was a two scribbled words, "Gone Shopping" Lee Groaned and opened the front door, slipped on some shoes and went outside.

It's not a battle... I'll PM you if you become involved in a conflict that I consider to be lengthy enough to be a battle. One or two blows is not that big of a deal, especially with an unclaimed Pokemon.

"Hey, are you leaving?" she asked, smiling at him. "My name's Melissa Brown, and I need some help... I'm a Pokemon Breeder, and I recently adopted this puppy from an abandonment shelter in Saffron..." she winced slightly. "Bad idea. Anyway, if you're headed out of town, I could really use a hand."
The Growlithe was acting like a complete nuisance. It had attacked Melissa's foot, demolished one of the flowers in the house's garden, and tackled the Pichu in a very friendly but boisterous manner. It was easy to see that the demure Melissa would have a hard time travelling with such a Pokemon by herself.

Lee yawned loudly and turned towards the girl. Blinking stupidly from being overtired, he replied lazily. " Nice to meet you Melissa, My names Lee Wilter". He looked over to the small pond to find Sparky splashing his reflection. " Uh, Sparky over here!". Sparky raced back to Lee and turned to look at melissa. "pi?" Lee Laughed and bent down to scratch Sparky behind the ears. " Did you her that Sparks? Wanna go on a journey?" "Pi!" said sparks excitedly. Zack woke up with a jolt, looking at his clock to check the time. "Oh no! I wanted to tag along with Thatch or Alice! If I'm fast, I could still catch up!" He said to himself. He woke up his Mudkip his brother gave him, and got dressed, packing an extra pair of clothes, food, Pokemon food, and his pokedex in his backpack. He ran outside and hopped on his bicycle and pedaled as fast as he could. Fortunately he didn't have to pedal for long, He saw Alice was talking with some other Pokemon Trainer at the exit to Pallet Town.
"Hey Alice! I'm tagging along with you, k?" Zack told Alice, not really giving her a choice. "And who's this Pokemon Trainer?" He asked curiously.

The backpack on her back was worn from lots of travel, and she had sewed to the side a selection of patches from many places, including Hoenn and the northern part of Kanto. There were even a few from the Sevii Islands. She clearly knew what she was doing.

"Shabaam!" A young girl yelled, bursting out of the door to her new home. Her black knapsack was festooned with chains and studs, her red running shoes had bits of morror tacked to them, so they glinted. Her laog black hair blew about her face as she fell to the ground. "Woop. That one didn't work too well, did it, Vix?" She laughed, brushing the dirt off her trip pants and out of the fur lining in her Bomber jacket. "Look like a be-autiful day in Pall-" With a yelp, she tripped and fell onto her Vulpix. "Whoops. Sorry Vix." She smiled apologetically and laced her shoes up.
"Vul..Vulpix?" She squeaked, grooming her tail indignantly. "Oh, Blast and damn it, girl...I wish...I wish I knew someone. All I have is you." She sighed, then noticed a blue haired boy walking toward the exit. "'Scuse me!" She yelped, and started after him.

A tall teenaged boy with black hair, wearing a black coat and a mysterious smile, glanced up from the notebook he was scribbling on with interest at the sound of Cayne's voice. A small Electrike by his side growled at the Vulpix playfully and halfheartedly. The boy shushed his Pokemon and called out softly to the other trainer, "Do you need help, miss?"
Also nearby was another boy. This one had medium length curly brown hair which appeared highly windblown. Two Pokeballs were clipped neatly to a messenger bag at his side. "Alright, ill be 10 minutes" He said and raced inside. His mom looked up as he entered. "hello Lee, hungry? Im making Pancakes" she said kindly. "Sure mom! Ill have 3 with maple syrup and whipped cream?". While eating he remembered he had to get outside ready in 10 minutes. "Mom can i go to Saffron city?" he said abruptly . "Ugh, Why on earth would you want to go there?" she asked "Well this girl melissa needs to take a pokemon there, so i thought that it would be a great opportunity for me and pichu to get stronger!" "of course but take your phone" she said smiling and began to whistle while cleaning up. Lee ran up stairs slipped into some jeans and a white collared shirt. He grabbed his back pack and filled it with his water bottle, food, and extra clothes. But he turned cordially back to Zack, who seemed anxious to go on a journey. "I'll be headed up to Pexter City, then I'm going to cut down through an underground tunnel I found to get to Viridian City. I need to fetch something from a friend of mine there. Then I'll be taking a ship to Olivine City, unless I want to travel to Hoenn or Sinnoh." He kept his motives to himself. But it was clear from the way that he held himself that he wasn't just drifting; he had a plan in mind.

Cayne stared at the boy with black hair, and her eyes grew dark, and she fidgeted. "Hello, Sir...I-I.." She blushed madly and tripped over a rock, falling to the floor. "Woop! I...I.." [Cayne Paranoia] The boy stood up, chuckling softly, and attempted to help Cayne to her feet. "You could call me 'sir' if you like, but my name's Peter. It is an Electrike, actually..." he seemed to brood for a second, reflecting as his Pokemon sniffed Cayne's hand curiously, then retreated. "I like your Vulpix; it has quite a shiny coat. Very healthy."
He picked up his notebook and closed it, stowing it in his pack. "I'm headed out toward Cinnabar Island. I have a friend there with a boat; he's taking me to Olivine City. If you need a ride, you're free to come along." The quiet man-boy started walking south, glancing back. "Well?"

[Peter] Cayne's eyes widened. "I-..I would be pleased to do so, Si-..Peter!" She smiled shyly. "Would you like to come along?" Peter had said. She watched the boy start walking and had to make a quick desiscion. "I...Yeah. If it's not to big of a hassle..I mean." She faltered, and her Vulpix began to yip with impatience. "Oh, alrigh Vix. I'm going! Wait up! " She yelled, starting in a run, then tripping and barrel rolling, landing right next to Peter and a frightened Electrike. "Haha...Whoops." She held out her hand for him to shake. "By the way, My name's Cayne, Cayne Paranoia!" She smiled rougishly as she dusted off her jeans.

He took her hand and started walking again, telling her with a little grin, "Perhaps this is the only way to keep you from tripping up, eh?"
Now the pair had passed the boundaries of Pallet Town and began to walk through a field of tall grass that came up to Cayne's thighs. The two Pokemon that were out of their Pokeballs were trotting steadily along side Peter and Cayne. Before long, the little group had reached the edge of the beach, having crossed over a small loamy bluff and several dunes of sugary white sand.
Peter took two Pokeballs from his belt, using the first to recall Electrike, and the second to release a young female Lapras, which was still large enough to hold both Peter and Cayne, along with their stuff. It bobbed up and down in the surf, its belly scraping the sandy bottom due to its shallowness. Peter climbed onto its back, patting its head, then held out his hand toward Cayne. "Here, hop on." Cayne Paranoia may now post to 'Route 21'.
