Personality: Serena is sweet and kind. She is the little girl who is gullible and taken advantage of by others. She despises sadness and strives to make those around her happy and full of smiles. She has the habit of caring for people too much. If there's anything she can do to comfort or support someone she will do it no matter what. She believes everyone has the potential to be good and that no one is truly evil. Serena isn't a perfect angel though, she tends to lecture people if they are making bad decisions. Still right after lecturing she jumps back to being her friendly and adorable self. She has a competitive streak inside of her and always tries her hardest. Her motto is "Never Give Up"

Background: Serena grew up with two loving parents and an older brother Jacob. Her life was full of happiness and joy until a shocking tragedy changed her life forever. Serena's family went on a cruise through the pacific, the unstable waters took the ship down. Serena was one of the 10 survivors of at least 500 deaths. Her happiness was shattered and she was bewildered at the whole situation. She shut everyone else out for half of year. Not until she realize what her actions caused those around her did she change her behavior. She was currently living with her grandparents. She refused to go to school so they were forced to home school her. Her friends called her every night worried sick about her. She couldn't bear letting down her friends so she finally faced her fear and moved on. Serena transformed into the cheery and cute girl she was. It was when she turned 17 did she join book club.
