Personality

*Personality: Amaury is an excellent actor and a master of deception. He is a pro at hiding his true feelings and emotions, usually behind a cheerful jokester façade. Since he learned from an early age to adapt to situations that were painful without actually showing his pain, he doesn’t actually know how to show it if things bother or upset him. He tends to take things to heart and allow the pain to fester, leaving him raw with disdain and craving revenge. Amaury also has a twisted sense of right and wrong. While he can make excuses for his own murders, he cannot excuse his own dead parents for rebelling against the crown. He honestly believes that no crime, not even murder, is greater than disloyalty to the crown. He often tries to tell himself that like his parents, the men he murders, get what they deserve. By being loyal to the crown he believes he can wash away his parents crimes from his own soul.

*Physical traits: Amaury has short blonde hair, grey eyes and tanned skin. He is short for his age from suffering malnutrition as a child. His skin is full of scar tissue from wounds and beatings, which often cause him to be self conscious about exposing too much skin. Most of the time the man is overdressed, hiding himself behind as much clothing as possible, even going as far as wearing a constant scarf. Despite that he is not above undressing to get a job done, he is after all a master of deception.

Any weapon he can get his hands on, Amaury isn't above using even spoons as weapons.

History

History: Amaury has lived with his aunt for most of his childhood. He barely remembers anything about his parents except the rumors and things his step-uncle told him. According to his step-uncle, his parents were killed for crimes against the crown. His father was a member of a rebellion that was uncovered by the royal guards. His mother pleaded with her sister to take her only son and Amaury escaped the capital just in time with his aunt and her children, while his parents and uncle perished. His aunt eventually remarried to a less than desirable man who treated Amaury with distain. He never let the boy forget how his parents were nothing but criminals and how much he owed his aunt for saving his life.

Money was tight in the large family, with his aunt having eight children of her own there was little to spare for her sister’s child. When Amaury was eight, his step-uncle sent him to beg in the streets. Amaury could never get enough money to please his step-uncle who beat him when he came home with what he deemed too little money. Soon Amaury noticed a better way to get money and begging turned to prostitution. His hopes of getting the beating to stop by bringing more money never came true. The beatings only intensified along with his uncle’s greed.

His life changed forever the day he was approached by a man on the street who whispered in his ear that he had been watching him. If he wanted, he could have the power to take revenge on all of those who hurt him. Amaury never looked back. From that day on little skinny worthless Amaury was trained in the ways of a mercenary. For the first time in his life, he was a commodity, wanted by many who wished to enlist his services. The proudest day in his life was the day the King of the Earth Nation called upon his services. He now serves the King undercover. Amaury is not against working for the Earth King because he honestly believes his parents were criminals for rebelling against the crown since it was beaten into him practically at such a young age that they were wrong and got what they deserved for not being loyal to the king, hence his ridiculous amount of loyalty. Currently his missions take him to the Wind Nation.

Views on life: Life is a game. I will never be a loser again. I plan to win, and so far I’m doing a very good job.

I would like to be royal, because...: Then I could do as I pleased and no one could punish me. I will be the ones calling the shots, killing men as I please without facing consequence. It is good to be the king!
