Princess of Light
*My dreams: Though Orchid is a princess, she has no love of ruling a country. She'd rather sit back and paint intricate pictures of the lively and beautiful scenery around her. Striving to be an artist, she is enrolled in an art school in the nation of Light, though she knows that eventually she'll have to leave. She hopes that no matter where she goes, she can take her art with her, and, in fact, she welcomes her departure, seeing it as a chance to experience more of the world, and in turn allow her to create even more beautiful artwork.
*My fears: The thing that Orchid fears the most is losing her identity. Though she wants to experience other parts of the world, she doesn't want to forget about or leave the Light nation forever. She also worries about what her future husband will be like. Though she isn't one for dreams of romance and a one true love, she doesn't want to be forced to marry someone she can't stand. Furthermore, she worries about being treated as an outsider wherever she goes.
*My talents: Orchid is good at visual art, though she specializes in painting. She also dabbles a little with magic, a talent that she'd love to expand on if given the chance.
Views on the war: She thinks the war is unnecessary, but she doesn't hate it, even though she is being forced to marry because of it. She loves the aspect of war that brings out emotions in people. Because of this, she can accept the fighting while still doing her best to end it as soon as possible.
Views on life: She loves life of all forms. Being an artist, she surveys life all the time. She loves to find beauty in things, even where there doesn't appear to be any. Life is like a great adventure to her, and she never spends too much time dwelling on the negative.
*Personality: Orchid loves to laugh and have fun, but she doesn't believe that happiness is the only thing worth living for. She believes that all emotions are equally valuable, and she cherishes each and every one of them. She lives for new life experiences, which is why she welcomes anything that happens, no matter how drastically it changes her life. She's the kind of girl that goes with the flow. However, she won't just let people walk all over her. In fact, she'll gladly stand up for what she believes it, gladly stepping up to a fight if need be. Orchid is the type of girl that needs to have a cause - something to keep her fighting. She lives for rallies and protests; anything to stir up some excitement while also making the world a better place for everyone.
[if prince/princess...] I feel skeptical, but strangely okay with arranged marriages:
[if princess] I feel excited, but nervous about moving to a new kingdom, because I gladly accept new experiences and places, but I don't want to forget home and I don't want home to forget me.
[if prince/princess...] If I am forced to get married, I will accept it unless the man I am forced to marry is someone I could never ever spend the rest of my life with. Then, I might just run away and experience excitement somewhere else.
Orchid can almost always be seen with a large bag full of art utensils and a sketchbook/portable canvas. She's also often seen with a camera hanging around her neck.
History: From the moment Orchid was born, everyone knew that she would make waves. She was an extremely independent child, always wandering off to do her own thing. As she got older, her parents grew frustrated with her lack of care for the kingdom. Instead of doing her princessly duties, she befriended commoners and ran about the city with them, creating havoc and having a generally good time. She spent most of her time out of the palace, meeting new people and painting watercolor portraits of different parts of the city. Now, she has to face the reality of her situation, and marry a foreign prince so that the ongoing war may end and her subjects can stop fighting. She welcomes the adventure with open arms, though she is sad to leave her home and friends behind.
