THE KOOKS; Come With Me Now
โAll gods who receive homage are cruel. All gods dispense suffering without reason. Otherwise, they would not be worshipped. Through indiscriminate suffering, men know fear and fear is the most divine emotion. It is the stones for altars and the beginning of wisdom. Half gods are worshipped in wine and flowers. Real gods require blood.โ

And Iโll give it blood!โ
Haemokinesis grants Hunter the ability to manipulate blood. Being the life force of all living creatures, big or small, this gives Hunter an edge. He can induce pain, making one feel as if their blood is boiling, painful enough to make them go into shock if he felt like it. His own blood is acidic in nature, eroding anything it comes in contact with. Handy, but it increases the blood flow and would make him bleed out quicker if the wound was fatal.
His blood ability also gives him a Motor-Skill type manipulation, so an unwilling person almost becomes a puppet. This requires a lot of focus and energy, though, so he doesn't use it often. His ability has given him an iron deficiency, forcing him to take iron tablets several times a day, and if he uses his powers too much, he could ultimately die.
[Close Combat] Hunter has a military background, serving in the Marines up until he got his abilities. He's no sharp shooter, but he can throw a punch.
[Mixology] Hunter likes to drink. He likes to be intoxicated as often as possible. After returning from leaving the military, Hunter took up bartending and drink mixing as a hobby. He can make a nice fucking drink.
[Guitar] Growing up as a kid, Hunter had always been musically inclined. He can play just about anything and doesn't mind giving his comrades a tune to listen to.
[Weaponry] A lot of his training had to do with weapons of all sorts. This is good knowledge to have when you want to be chaotic.

Broken would be a good word to define what is Hunter Grimes. Not one for words, Hunter tends to stand in the background, watching the rest. He has somewhat of a Messiah complex, thinking he alone can fix everything. Cynical, Hunter is known to make a sarcastic jab at everything but otherwise remains mute. He's smart, strategic and most can deal with his bitter attitude and drunken stupor because he's reliable. He isn't one for idle chitchat, being rather blunt and apathetic.
Hot headed, its easy for Hunter to resort to violence. He doesn't take much from others, even if they are his allies. Under his brutish attitude and thick skin, Hunter is simply hurting. He just doesn't know how to deal with it.
โDon't you see? The catastrophe is me. My very existence is an affront to everything that is natural and good.โ
Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Hunter lived much of his life there. A devout Christian through and through, Hunter followed in his father's footsteps in joining the military. He was a superb Marine, the government offering him a deal. Turn him into a super soldier, and he would be the American Hero. Hunter took the offer, going through several tests for a good year. It was painful and he constantly laid awake in agony at night. The experiment was a dud, a failed subject.
He was angry, having been in horrible pain for a year for them to tell him he was a failure. Regardless, the put him back on the frontlines. His abilities were useless. Hunter was angry, planning on exposing the team that conducted the experiments on him. When they got word of it, the team sent out special agents, slaughtering the camp and trying to pin it on him. He was a declared terrorist; America's new boogeyman. A face to invoke fear and anger, and by God did their plan work.
He met Doctor Smith shortly after he entered Violet City. The man knew who he was right off the bat, and offered Hunter safety and a chance at revenge if he worked for him. At first, Hunter refused, calling the man bullshit. But after a few threats and a promise of maximum security, Hunter agreed to be his lackey. He wanted to clear his name. But it's not so easy when someone sees you as a mass murderer.
